nah ppl dont talk about the parts of burnout and depression when its not being able to brush your teeth, or shower for long periods of time, being unable to leave your room for anything besides food and bathroom breaks,

people dont talk about how households can deeply affect quality of life with depression, and how some of us dont even feel safe to leave our rooms, to go to the bathroom or eat,

people who stay up all night, the people that wait for the house to fall asleep in order to have that semblance of peace and space to breathe.

some of us who have no where else to go, who have conditions and financial situations that prevent us from leaving,

This isnt a dark post, some of this is just daily life and im here to say that you aren't alone.

You aren't alone. You aren't disgusting, you aren't anything to be ashamed of, you're doing the best you can everyday, youre stronger than you ever were supposed to be, and you will find that real breath of fresh air that doesnt end in fleeting moments.

you'll find that safe place where you can eat, drink, shower, use the bathroom, go outside, and you wont have to worry about the 'what if's

And you won't get back onto your feet straight away, and thats okay. You weren't supposed to fight this fight alone, You weren't even supposed to fight it. You are allowed to rest, you are allowed to lay down and do nothing, you are allowed to not be doing anything important, to have your calendar empty for a while.

You are never suppose to earn rest, its a birthright.

You are allowed. Forgive yourself for preforming. For being strong, For playing the resilient one even if you barely consider yourself that.

Forgive yourself for being scared, for doubting if it gets better.

I'm proud of you for staying hopeful even in the very depths of your mind even when you scream "I'm done".

You are still here despite everything. Go drink some water, I love you.
