THIS IS A PSA:

I want to see more of Will expanding their reaches of medical practice at Camp Half Blood.

Not only are they understaffed, but the equipment is probably outdated, and their textbooks needed to be updated badly.

Will Solace talking to Chiron about starting a required medical training course 101 for non Apollo kids; quests without healers, random monster attacks, any kind of injury where a healer cannot get to them so they can know what to do themselves and self sustain until they fix it or help arrives.

Will Solace starting a network with pharmaceutical suppliers under the guise of being an on campus clinic for a private school. (Which it basically is) getting access to equipment, birth control, proper prescriptions for disorders and health problems that can’t be helped on Nectar alone, other kinds of over the counter medication, pain relievers and sedatives, gender affirming care, etc.

Will Solace emailing Pre-Med professors of esteemed institutions to get their input on practice regulations and follow up’s on articles he read, getting insight on the proper literature to look for to add to the infirmary shelves.

Will Solace working with the Demeter cabin to grow medicinal herbs because he doesn’t totally disregard the power of Ancient Greek physicians work (the bruise salves work really well)

Will Solace speaking with the nymphs and Coach or Grover about how to better help in case of any emergencies (we don’t want a repeat of Eurydice) cause other species require different healing methods.

Will Solace building the Infirmary from the ground up to actually be a productive system that helps demigods on their way in life, not just preventing their life from ending because he’s awesome like that and he sees the flaws in their current situation and strives to fix them.

Will and Naomi Solace have this tradition; since they don’t see each other that often, Naomi likes to bring Will along to her concerts whenever she can, and now that he’s older and plays numerous instruments thanks to CHB and his siblings sharing their interests, he plays guitar for her on stage those nights and sometimes even does background vocals. She always introduces him and he’s more often than not wearing a cowboy hat while up there just to obstruct some of his face.

He started gaining media presence and attention from Naomi or country fans, and now Will Solace has fan pages on instagram and twitter stan girlies.

Will Solace and Nico di Angelo having a ghosts youtube channel together like Watchers (Shayne and Ryan but gay) with Lou Ellen being their true crime collaborator.

Will : I can’t even begin to describe how gnarly this cause of death was … it is, very gruesome stuff.

Nico : please never say gnarly when referring to the dead ever again

Will, after hearing a loud bang that scared him so bad his country accent comes out : WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!

Imagine Nico wanting to learn more about bones since it’s kind of his whole M.O. so who other does he turn to but Dr Sunlord himself, Will Solace. Will is thrilled to teach him the names of all the bones which then kind of branches into him rambling about how Nico’s raised skeletons make no sense because they have no muscle to conjoin the bones and no nerves to move them, how are they doing that. It turns into little study dates; whenever Will gets time off in the infirmary (when Kayla kicks him out) he and Nico will sit with Will’s Biology books in Nico’s cabin. Sometimes the son of Hades will raise a specific bone from the Earth that Will names as like their form of flash cards.

Eventually to help him study them, Will starts writing the bone names over Nico’s skin. Arms and hands and legs covered in skin safe ink (he was worried about ink poisoning) and Nico stares at them sometimes, not because he’s studying, but because it makes his insides fuzzy when he thinks about how Will held his arm and stroked his thumb on the inside of his wrist as he wrote them.

So one boring day at the infirmary Nico sees the pen in Will’s pocket of his white lab coat and he takes it, then Will’s free arm that he’s not doing paperwork with. Will pauses long enough to see what he was doing as Nico starts drawing a lopsided smiley face. From then on it becomes the norm to see one or both of them walking around with random doodles going up their arms.

Will is actually really into morbid curiosities and vulture culture. He likes bones, alright? And he already canonically listens to true crime podcasts. I bet when he originally saw Nico he was just excited for the possibility of someone he could talk with about bones and myths and murder cause there’s certainly no place for that in the Apollo Cabin. That’s also how he and Lou Ellen became good friends, because Hekate is also a big symbol in death (triple goddess of life, death and rebirth) but her fixation is on mushrooms and moss, so they spend hours talking about natural decomposers. He’s able to name any bone, human or animal, and she can name most non-flower plants, ESPECIALLY fungi, so they have a mutual respect bond. Both of them know random facts about really niche beetles and other insects, especially if they are also decomposers. This slowly transitions to include Cryptids and folklore legends, it’s their favourite. They have plans to go to the mothman festival together sometime and they’re both dragging Cecil along (and eventually Nico when Will and him get together). They’re definitely the kinds of best friends to road trip and go camping or ghost/cryptid hunting in the woods. (They’re kind of sad once they realise some of those myths might actually just be greek monsters considering their demigod heritage and how much has already proven to be real.)

Okay but I love the idea that everyone just thinks Nico calls himself the Ghost King as like an emo thing but no, he literally is that. They all find out it’s his actual title little by little in the most unusual situations.

Uh oh, the Hekate cabin summoned the wrong ghosts during a seance and now the spirits are tearing up the place! No worries tho, we have a resident son of Hades, right? Nico walks into the cabin and immediately, the items that were being thrown around like an indoor hurricane all drop to the floor at once. Three little kid ghosts appear in front of Nico with their best smiles as he sighs down on them like “what did I tell you three?” And proceeds to lecture them for the next ten minutes while the Hekate campers watch on struggling to understand what was happening until Nico opens a rift to the underworld and corrals the three through while the kids call “come play with us again, King, or we wouldn’t get bored and come mess with people!” As they disappear into the mists.

Or like Thanatos appears in CHB one day and everyone is freaked cause who died?? Are they all dying?? What’s happening?? But no, he just glides over to Nico and bows respectfully with a “King Nico, a pleasure to see you again. It seems I will need your assistance again with wayward souls I have recently reaped from mortality” and Nico is just sucking a juice box as he nods along to all of this as if it’s another fucking Tuesday. Then he just leaves,, with the God of Death after promising Will to be back by dinner so everyone is like ‘WHAT THE FUCK’ and then there’s like Percy and Annabeth off to the side like ‘imagine having royal duties at 14, couldn’t be me’

So the Camp Half-Blood infirmary has to have medical records of all the campers. Medications, blood type, allergies, injury history, the whole thing. They have to update it every time a camper goes through a physical trauma so it’ll translate into real world records through the mist. Right?

Don’t think about how Will Solace is not only the camp doctor, but the mortician as well.

Don’t think about how he probably had to write out the death records of all the children victims of the wars, people he knew and saw around camp.

Don’t think about how a lot of them were his siblings.

Don’t think about how he had to look over each body to label cause of death for camp records.

Don’t think about how there were nearly a hundred casualties from their side, and many were still unrecovered.

Don’t think about how he became the head healer and Apollo Counsellor in a single day despite having a dozen siblings older than him just a few days before.

Don’t think about how he had to return to an empty cabin.

Don’t think about how he was only 13 years old.

So, since Will can control sunlight, and Nico’s power is to pull shadows, can’t Will just- surround his wrists with sunlight streams? And stop him from using his power? How is Nico going to reach for a shadow when his new bracelets are chasing them away?

Will can literally ground Nico from using his powers.

Okay, sure, all of the knights of the round table after Arthur and Merlin get their shit together and finally court being like “yeah, we knew” is funny because none of them thought to tell them what they all saw, BUT

I present to you, all of them being literally so thrown off by this new development that really isn’t so new. Because they see Arthur and Merlin together all the time, sure, but only while they’re with them. They don’t see the private moments we do, or the carefully intimate conversations in the night when they’re alone in Arthur’s chambers. They don’t see Merlin smoothing out Arthur’s collar after dressing him when he doesn’t need to. They don’t see the domesticity when Merlin is polishing armour by the fire in Arthur’s chambers and Arthur is reading updates from the lower town nearby in total silence. Etc etc

Because let’s be real, all of the knights would die for Arthur or each other, that’s what being a knight is all about, so they figured that Merlin wasn’t any exception. They don’t truly realise the lengths he truly has gone for Arthur.

Leon has been around since the day these two literally MET. Merlin nearly commit regicide his second day and then saved Arthur from the sorceress by the third. Gwaine loves how Merlin doesn’t fall into line with hierarchy roles but can begrudgingly see why he’s so loyal to Arthur, cause he has his moments. Lance respects and admires Arthur a lot, especially after knighting him, which has always been his dream, and knows of the prophecy from Merlin as his one (1!!) in-the-know friend, so he suspects it’s just that. Elyan knows his sister is in love with Arthur, half of Camelot’s court ladies are for Gods sake, but she and Merlin act extremely different around Arthur, Merlin being so much more comfortable around him than Gwen, so he thinks it’s more of a brotherhood like the knights bond. Percy is a bit more perceptive of this, especially considering both Merlin and Arthur never really fall in love with anyone else around them the entire time, they’ve never seen Merlin in love period since they never met Freya, and Arthur had courted before but most of it was arranged or a product of his duty to the throne.

So when they’re like “lol guess who’s finally together” all of the Knights are collectively losing their minds, and replaying everything they’ve ever known about them in their minds since they met.
