I started this blog as part of a research project for one of my classes and then I just never left. I post about a lot of things: photography, school, music, fandoms, basically whatever inspires me. Spring colors for the blog because I refuse to be defined by this ridiculous weather thank you very much.

It’s one of those moments in American history where interacting with any sort of news media will have you side eyeing washington with a “what the hell are they doing over there” kind of look on your face

Finishing one journal means starting a new one and this time I chose to, get this, use one of the old journals from my collection of unused notebooks instead of buying a new one. Crazy I know. It was a gift from a family member like three years ago; part of a set from Settini (A5 but everything else is a mystery). Definitely not my notebook/paper of choice but it was too pretty not to use and I thought it would be a cute little summer journal.
However it had a pen holder sewn to the spine which was great in theory but sucked in practice. Every time I opened the journal it refused to lie flat which made it a nightmare to write in so that extra bit of printed vinyl had to go. I took it off with a seam ripper and it did leave holes in the cover but they’re small enough that I don’t really mind. After that I got some embroidery thread and sewed lines into the book mark and the spine (stabbed myself many times) to get some color and add to the summertime vibes. To finish it off I added another leuchtturm pen loop (I think the color is called powder?) to replace the one that I took off.
It’s a little messy and shabby but I wasn’t going for perfection I just wanted to add some extra life to it (I love the flower etching but the solid brown was a bit boring). Overall I really love how this journal turned out it’s nothing super detailed but adding some color (and getting rid of that ridiculous pen holder) made it feel a lot more like me. Personalizing my journals always makes me more excited to use them.

I’m sorry Grammarly but your ads for an “AI writing partner” could not be falling on more deaf ears

getting the itch to watch the original trilogy again like yea I could watch rouge one or I could spare myself the unnecessary additional heartbreak and instead watch two 20 year old mystics fuck up their dad's perfectly bad fascism with the help of a drug smuggler and his overly sentient dog I don't really think there's a choice to be made here

Just found out that the job I left a year and a half ago will never be able to re-hire me because apparently I never officially quit and I guess the manager never told anyone why I actually left so now they think I just vanished. I’m not trying to work there again but at the same time I’m like yea. That really vibes with all the other life changing nonsense that was happening to me back then.

Everyone is arguing about whether or not Bix and her baby was the right ending for the show but I’m just over here thinking about the AU where the rogue one crew survives and the kid is invited to the strangest Space-Christmas Dinner the galaxy has ever seen: Mom and aunt Vel as usual but now with uncle Wilmon , his Space-French girlfriend, Traumatized aunt Kleya, dad, dad’s new girlfriend, four brand new trigger-happy revolutionary uncles, and the 7 foot tall murder robot that dad kidnapped from a fascist genocide.
The sit com just writes itself

Krennic telling Dedra that she missed her calling as a rebel spy was such a slap in the face like flawless 10/10 no notes that is how you tear a character apart in one sentence Shakespeare himself couldn’t have done it better

Partagaz killing himself after listening to a rebel manifesto and realizing how futile his work has been in relation to the unrelenting demands of the fascist machine he works for is nothing short of cinematic poetry
