By far, this is the most interesting game I played this year. I realize that it's been out for a while, but I just played it on PS4 and I have to say....WOW!
Nice story, all the characters are interesting, the graphics are beautiful and the controls and combats are great.

The Sundays ( My New Obsession)
It has been quite a while since I've written here.
I a few weeks ago, I was browsing amazon music. Then I came across a gem in the $5 dollar music section.  It was The Sundays' second album, "Blind". I must have listened to the album 20 times while half-ass studying pre-calculus.
So a week or two goes by and I say, I may as well buy their first album: "Reading, Writing and Arithmetic". Fell head over heels in love with that album.
Then last weekend, I purchased their third album,  "Static & Silence" and have been singing "Summertime" and "Leave This City" ever since.
I was raised in the 90's so anytime I hear this type of music, I get all nostalgic and what-not.
I hear that they are writing new songs and plan on releasing them, which would be awesome. How many times have you discovered music from ages long past and wish that you could hear them live?
I read somewhere that they want to tour places they have never been to as opposed to place they've been. But I really hope they come to Missouri.
Since this was a music oriented entry, I will save my thoughts on video games I played for another time.

Xbox One Is Slightly Disappointing
So I've had my Xbox One for about two weeks now and honestly... I'm not impressed. I think I would've been better off with the PS4 and purchasing the Xbox One later.
I like it, but it's not the sort of console I imagined it to be.
I purchased the Sunset Overdrive bundle and the game is okay, the console itself is gorgeous - a bit bulky, but gorgeous.
I am kind of an achievement slut, so I have been playing the hell out of Sunset to amass as many achievements as I possibly can.
My only thing is, I'm an anti-social gamer and not sure if I'm going to get any of the multi-player achievements...
I guess since the system is only a year old, I shouldn't expect much. This is the whole reason I"m not an early adopter - will just mull over my decisions when it comes to the purchase.
Guess I'll wrap it up here, later!

PURCHASED XBOX ONE, PLEASE DON'T BE HATING!
It has definitely been a while. I want to say that I purchased a Xbox One. Many people (Sony fangirls and fanboys) have been talking bad about the system.
From what I understand, Playstation 4 does have way more power under the hood and I'm definitely buying one next year (God willing). But I love all the consoles that come out all the same. I plan on getting a Wii U also.
It's strange how people dislike anything that is different than what they're used to. It is true of all things, especially the important stuff. But i am not about to get into a philosophical discussion in which the console wars is used as an example.
Just want to say that I'm getting that Sunset Overdrive and I think I'll have fun. Although, my money would have done me better if I would've spent it one something else.
Guess this is why I will be single until I'm fifty.

Life Sucks Sometimes
Sometimes, life hits a little too hard.
I look in the mirror and realize that you're not handsome, that I've gained a lot of weight and that I'm getting old.
I start to think that my job is unrewarding and despite that knowledge, you're I'm too scared of the unknown to make a change.
I fantasize about dating the woman that I am crazy about, only to realize that I am not even a blip on her radar.
I go online to check my credit score and find out it is so low that it will take years to get out the hole that I've dug.
I start to regret the fact that I didn't do a lot of things, but realize that it's too late to do many of them.
I begin the think of all the good times I had and realized that I didn't truly appreciate those moment the way I do now.
I begin to think about the problems my family are facing and it is breaking my heart.
I  am constantly reminded of my failures and that I am the only one to blame.
The list goes on and on...
But I do know that as long as I keep moving forward, I can change things. I just lack the strength to do so.
I won't what true strength is. Is it the willingness to follow your convictions? Is the willingness to sacrifice your happiness for someone else? Or is it subjective and only concerns one particular person at a time?
Who knows?

Movie Talk
Finally seen X-Men:Days of Future Past and it was, ahem, AWESOME!
I am really looking forward to a few of the trailers I seen too. Lucy, looks awesome. Lets be Cops looks hysterical. And Kingsman: The Secret Service looks like it will be a thrilling ride.
Although, trailers do show some of the best parts the film has to offer and sometimes the trailer is the best part. Kind of like video gameplay footage.

Words That Reach My Heart
Tumblr media
I love "Island" from Sara Bareilles' latest album, "The Blessed Unrest"
What I get out of the song and what it is based upon is totally different. But I have always been the sort of guy who holds on to a piece of song if it affects me in such a way that it gives me hope or I can relate to it.
So the part that gets me is when she sings:
"It's like I'm standing on the edge with just a telephone wire
Trying to get to you first to say the world's on fire
Holding my breathe until I know you're alright..."
Those words make me hopeful. Maybe, just maybe I will find someone who will really be concerned for me and my well-being. Who will think about my happiness just as much as I think of theirs.
I won't lie. I'm 33 and only been in one relationship in my life.
It wasn't really romantic, but it was sexual and I regret that the most.
The one thing that i thought to be very important, I squandered because I was tired of waiting. Because I couldn't wait for the right person to come along.
*sighs*
Anyway...
I think Sara is an awesome musician and the way she sings entrance me. I regret that I never had a chance to hear her sing live.
Music does a lot, doesn't it? It connects people to one another or to the inner most part of ourselves. It helps the singer or composer release feelings that they may not be able to convey otherwise.
Paraphrasing Xunzi's view, music can bring all walks of life together and it's amazing that it does so. Although, many still rather have it divided - go figure...

Junk-Foodian
I haven't eaten (is that worded correctly, my grammar sucks!) meat in about 17 years. But I"m not a vegetarian, I'm a junk-foodian.
My whole diet consist of potato chips, cheese pizza, and candy.
I buy a lot of Morning Star products as well, but eating spicy black bean burgers can't really be all that healthy.
Truth is, it isn't as if stopped eating meat for moral reasons. Someone told me that I was getting fat and that's why I initially stopped. It was later, after all the research that I actually started to feel guilty.
So now, I don't eat any because I feel every thing has the right to live. Although, i have killed spiders and bugs. I apologize to them before I do it, as if giving them the reason that I must kill them will make them more receptive of their deaths. And the fact that I think they can understand is probably crazier than telling them my reason.
So I'm not a vegetarian... a junk-foodian is what I am.

It has been so long since I've been to a concert.
The last concert I went to was Rachael Yamagata's and that was in 2011.
I am happy that I had a chance to see Flyleaf perform before Lacey left that band. I'm was also happy to see Vedera perform before they disbanded.
Now the former lead singer of Vedera (Kristen) is the lead singer of Flyleaf. Man you could have knocked me over with a feather once I heard that.
I wish I could have seen all the original members of Paramore perform. I downloaded their latest album and I just can't get into it. It just seems weird.
It's kind of like No Doubt's last album, it had Gwen's carbon footprint all over it. I'm thinking that's how Paramore's new album is, but I can't say for sure since I haven't listened to it.
I just listen to, "I'm So Into You". It is one of those songs that makes me jump up and down instead of acting like a "gansta".
I love music, but I'm still in love with 90's music. I know, people think it was a horrible era for music, but not to me or anyone else who was old enough to use a cassette player ( or know what a cassette player is).
There are a few other bands I wish I could hear.
I'll list a few:
Chevelle
Metalica
Kittie
All American Rejects
There are more, but I'm too tired to list them.
I wish I could play an instrument. I can't sing, but I would like to play the piano or guitar and sing for my own enjoyment.

Took a picture of the Lunar Eclipse earlier. Isn't it pretty? I really wish I had invested in a better camera, but I got to look at it for quite a while and it was beautiful!

I must have been living under a rock because I had no idea that Felicia Day got a haircut. All I can say is, she's gorgeous! There was a lot of debate over it for some reason. All I could say was, "WOW"!

Bioshock Infinite
So, I am playing Bioshock Infinite right now and I have to say... I have enjoyed it!
There are so many games out there that are trying to address serious issues without  being too serious about the issues. Well, Bioshock isn't one of those games.
I won't go as far as to say that it's as deep as Metal Gear Solid on psx, but I will say that it is near it as far as story goes. I know, they are two different genres!
The game play doesn't really differentiate too much from the original. Like most developers; Irrational games are sticking with the "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" approach and I like it.
I'm not reviewing it because I haven't been paying that much attention to it. I can say my peace, but I can't critique it.
I think that character development is lacking a bit, but I haven't made it to the end and I'm sure that more about Booker and Elizabeth will be revealed. Well, I guess I know more about Elizabeth than I do about Booker.
There are few new elements that has made the game a bit exciting. The fly lines, the fact that Elizabeth can transport items from a different timeline by open a rift and the combinations of vigor.
Despite it though, I just seem like shooting works best and trying to develop strategies when I'm playing it on normal mode won't have any effect, but who's to say that it make any difference on the other difficulties?
The soundtrack happens to be the same as always, but I still like it.
I guess the overall change that makes this game totally different is environment. During the first two games, you were under sea. The environment was dark, dank, dreary and lonesome. It just felt like you were all alone.
In this one, you're up in the sky and the environment is bright and filled with life. The only problem is, everyone seems to be your enemy.
I don't have much to say and I'll probably re-post this entry when I'm done with the game.

Spring Feeling
I love Spring. It just seems to rejuvenate me in so many ways.
I love it when it rains and from time to time, I like walking around in it ( expect when I have to go to work).
I love to see all the trees and flowers blossom, so beautiful.
I love that feeling of romance that is associated with it, despite the fact that I never end up in any romantic situations.
I guess I really love how everything seems to come back to life. It just makes everything feel brand new.
