Dick's mob era happening around the same time as Jason building himself up as a crime lord has so much entertainment potential.

What if this was TimBer?

After the cult stuff, Bernard begins to notice when he gets hurt, it heals really fast. At first he notices a cut he got from a cooking knife takes only a day to heal. A month later he burns himself and it heals within minutes.

At some point during one of his dates with Tim, Gotham shenanigans ensue, and a Joker goon stabs him in the stomach. Tim sees it and is running to hold Bernard and put pressure on the bleeding wound, telling Babs on his hidden comm they need medical and his voice is shaky and he looks like he's about to cry.

Bernard places a hand on his cheek and tells him, "It'll be okay. It'll heal."

And Tim smiles sadly, but nods. "Yeah, we'll get you to the hospital and you'll be okay."

Bernard shakes his head. "I don't need a hospital."

Tim is now very confused and Bernard gently pulls Tim's hands away from his stomach where he was applying pressure to the wound.

He pulls his bloody shirt up enough to show Tim that the wound has already healed completely

And so, Bernard often abuses his newfound super fast healing powers and gets stabbed, falls from buildings, takes killing blows to protect someone else. Tim knows he'll be fine but he still hates having to witness Bernard get hurt, often fatally, before his body quickly heals itself.

Like Tim still has to witness Bernard falling from buildings, getting stabbed, and pushing someone out of the way to take multiple bullets.

I am obsessed with how whimsical Bernard is like he only agrees to go on a date with Tim if he helps Damian which is so trollish of him (also he doesn't even seem freaked out at all that Damian just appeared out of nowhere and Tim threw a knife at him 😂)

And then there's also him knowing Tim was Robin for who knows how long and playing 4D chess by saying stuff like, "There's MY boy wonder" and telling Robin he's concerned about his boyfriend.

He seems like such a simple guy, but he's actually very mischievous, playful, and clever and knows more than he lets on.

Even when he's telling Tim his theories, he also says "wouldn't that be cool?" which implies he doesn't 100% actually believe his theory (possibly because he already knows Tim is Robin) he just thinks its fun coming up with theory ideas! I love his whimsy!
