Headcanon: because his Radiancy is bad at math he never worked out the calculations for what timeline Zunidh was supposed to be on, he just did what Kip told him, and because it would never occur to Kip that HR was not perfectly punctilious in every way he just assumed that HR had worked out the math, and the miscommunication means that all of Zunidh just got dragged on to the Vangavaye-ve's timeline after the Fall, and everyone else assumes there's a reason that the two highest heads of state insisted the world get on Gorjo Mean Time, and the neighboring worlds, echoing a hub of relative stability, are gradually shifting to Zunidh's timeline and eventually nine worlds are going to sync their clocks to the Vangavaye-ve because Kip was homesick.

I know it’s a fic trope that people enjoy where the [construct] is revealed to be rogue and have thoughts and feelings and the [human] is like “my god… maybe secunits… are people…?”

but imho an equal and perhaps superior situation is where [construct] is revealed to be rogue etc and the [human] is like “oh god. of fucking course they were people this whole time and it’s just regular ass slavery all the way down. hey do you need a lawyer or perhaps a free ride out of this Dump?”

Hi! This month's plant chapter is a bit different! It's not canonical for one. Webcomics Garden -discord server (is very cool and if you're thinking about making webcomics or discussing the art if it, you should join) is having a comic mashup event - we have to create conflict of some sorts between our comic and our opponent's.

I got paired with Deo (from Time and Time Again fame). Visiting characters are a time travelling vampire duo that can't stop looking into local supernatural mysteries.

It's also a plant dracula au, a cursed thing that borned in the same discord server. You don't need to know a thing about it, just accept that everything's the same but there's also a dracula there. Vexes me. He's a server darling. (His other two creators are Levi, who makes Ruinous Fortune, a fucking spectacular dark fantasy story about a young goblin trying to escape their tyrannical father; and reraser, who also hosts this event, and makes Hyperdriven, a scifi about a ragtag gang of losers surviving in tomorrow's gig economy. It's hysterical, they have a space amazing race and it fucking SLAPS.) This is long, so most of it is under readmore. Some content warning for biting and strangling and stabbing but it's on par with plant violence in general

brands usually try to choose transliterated names that have nice poetic connotations, like Google (谷歌/guge/"valley song"), but not all brands will bother to come up with a transliteration, so they get auto-assigned one by The Public, which doesn't care about PR and also has a sense of humor, and thus the official unofficial names include:

Trader Joe's - 缺德舅/quede jiu/"rotten uncle"

Whole Foods - 猴父子/hou fuzi/"monkey father and son"

Costco - 抠死抠/kousikou/"stingy as hell"

ART beefing with Tarik is comedy of all time because it’s obvious that the reason ART dislikes Tarik is that it wishes its best bestie Murderbot were here running security instead of stinky old Tarik.

This is even funnier because of all the similarities between Tarik and Murderbot. Sense of humor. Unaffected by ART’s intimidation and posturing. Observant and knowledgeable in security expertise. Calls ART out and grills it in front of everyone. He even has a tragic backstory in a Pit.

it’s like this.

if you only have one person in your life that you trust, you probably are always going to turn to that person when something shit happens. as well as whenever something good happens. or anything else. this is not inherently a bad thing, and it’s really beautiful to have someone in your life that you trust so much

but if that person is suddenly busy or going through something difficult themselves or doesn’t have emotional capacity for a while, suddenly there’s a problem. not necessarily through any fault of your own, you don’t have anyone to turn to with as much regularity as you did before

this is true of any kind of relationship. this is true of any kind of coping mechanism, also. the problem is not that you trust that person. the problem is not that you use that coping mechanism. the problem is not even that there’s something wrong with you and that it’s all your fault. the problem is that nothing can be everything

the solution is not to cut off your one trusted person or to cut yourself off from your one trusted coping mechanism. the solution is to do the difficult work of diversifying your life as much as it’s possible for you to do. which is why it sucks so much when external factors prevent you from being able to live a truly diverse life. okay that’s all have a good one
