What came before
Before I started this tumblr blog, even before I started grinermoon.net, I started wrensgordianknot.blogspot.com to help me work my way through a knotty place in my life. I put my posts up in the hopes that someone would get some benefit from them, I’m hoping that remains true. Take a look a round, see if there is anything you can use, and have a most excellent day.

Been chasing rain all weekend. Travis and I have been talking over the future of the podcast... it's a bleak outlook right now. We have so much else going on, including his woodworking. If you're interested check it out at grinermoon.net, we'd appreciate the visit.

Not unexpected
I don’t think this is unexpected, we are putting VennTriangle on hold indefinitely. We got a little overambitious with having a home to build, a garden to care for, pets, friends that need help, work, and certain other obligations. I apologize for letting you down, I hope we can come back stronger later, or metamorphose into something more sustainable.

For Goodness Sake
We tried to record, we really did, but rain on a tin roof is rather loud. We apologize, we'll get this done...someday!

Update
We are supposed to record our first official podcast tonight when Travis gets home. In the meantime, in case you want to get to know me a bit, you can check out my blog: http://wrensgordianknot.blogspot.com/ for yourself. I am on a journey toward healing myself, I'm sharing that journey in case it helps anyone else.

This morning I opened my door to a wild Tufted Titmouse. I
was so surprised to see her that I didn't think, I just stroked her
soft feathers while I talked to her. After stroking her for a bit I
got out my camera so that I could record her presence. I stroked
her again, then she flew over to my gardening table. I walked away
from the whole thing feeling like a Disney Princess, and a dolt for
not having thought to use my video recorder the second I saw her.
I hope that you are all having a magical day as well!

Middle Georgia Events
If you are in middle Georgia, MGACon is happening this
weekend starting with the swap meet at the Anderson Conference
Center in Macon at 6 p.m. They will have panels, games, exhibits,
and shopping for all your geek needs on Saturday, and Sunday. Say
hello to the volunteers, see if you can spot Travis, and have a great
time!
In case you don't like rubbing elbows with geeks, or you have
spare time, here are some other goings on this weekend: The
Constant Wife is showing in downtown Macon from 2/18-2/26.
Peanuts is showing in Perry from 2/16-3/4, while you can go see
Saint Joan at the Douglass Theater in Macon on 2/19. You could
drive over to Georgia College in Milledgeville to watch students
perform Green Day's musical American Idiot on 2/21-2/25. If you
are feeling musical you can see Justin Hayward, of the Moody
Blues, perform at the Grand Opera House in Macon on 2/19. If
none of that appeals to you, look at the Out and About calendar of
events in The Telegraph, there should be something for nearly
everyone.
Have a great weekend, be a safe driver, and do something
worth talking about! We'll be back at recording as soon as we get
some of our personal calendar cleared out.

The Venn Triangle Podcast
The Venn Triangle is a podcast for those who enjoy current
events, esoteric subjects, having stories read to them, game and
movie recommendations, and more. We will pick three things to
talk about each week in whatever order we feel is right, then
present them to you, the listener, for your podcasting enjoyment.
We are a self produced podcast, though our music comes from
Skylyn Bilen, a new composer. He's working on a webpage now.
Travis Griner and Serenity Wilson will be your hosts for the
Venn Triangle podcast. If you would like to get to know them a
little better, keep reading or you can always come back later to
read about them. If not, watch for our podcast to come out on
a Saturday in February (see subsequent posts about technical
difficulties). The main subject our first podcast is rune stones.
Travis G. was born in Jacksonville, FL. He lived in North
Carolina on a farm for 11 years, then moved to Georgia where he
has remained. He is a gamer, an ink monkey, a creative, a director
of gaming at MGACon, a father, and a former pagan, among other
things.
Serenity W. was born in West Chester, PA. She has lived
in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland,
Delaware, Texas, Utah, Tennessee, California, Mississippi, Florida,
and Georgia, mostly not in that order. She is a creative, a
struggling (but not starving!) writer, a former assistant director at
MGACon, a mother, a former pagan, a theosophical explorer, and
many other things.
Travis and Serenity have been together for nearly a decade,
marrying not so very long ago. They bring to the podcast a wealth
of experience, knowledge, a love of learning, and a pair of open
minds. Serenity has a blog if you would like to get to know more
about her, as well as Pinterest. You can find Travis on
Facebook, Pinterest, and Tumblr.
