DAY 7: Free Day

(has it really been a week???)

i’m sorry it’s not completely finished yet i’ll post the finished one in the next few days

just wanted to say huge thanks to @hanakou-often for hosting and the prompt list and their many kind comments it’s been so cool doing a one week thingie uhhhhh

DAY 6: Magic

Obsessed with magical girl au’s at the moment so like huzzah. 

Exorcists are basically magical girls so they can transform and do magic stuff. It isn’t required to be have magic in your blood to be an exorcist but you need to do some ritual or eat something (cough). Teru and Kou are both magical by blood but teru convinces kou’s upperclassman yashiro to be one too (also mr akane “definitely a magical girl in canon” aoi is also one here too)

however, things arent messed up enough. enter hanako kun. weird ghost guy who’s been around and behind the weapons exorcists get. he becomes yashiros knife (she’ll get a cool blade after as replacement) and then once he’s in his spirit form, he starts messing with the group. they fight evil spirits, gain cool transformations and all in all good times.

would’ve drawn more for this but alas tis the busy times (dw i’ll draw smth for the final day :D)

DAY 3 - SWAP AU

its not rlly clear but its a amame/mitsuba swap so like the photography stuff is swapped with astronomy

Hanakou Week 2025

day 2 - love languages

(wanted to draw it but rlly tired :[ )

“Kou-kun!” Yashiro called out, almost bumping into him as she ran out from her classroom.

“Senpai! What’s up?” Kou asked, slightly surprised by her outburst.

She took a moment to catch her breath before showing him a magazine opened to a brightly coloured spread. On closer inspection, Kou could tell it was one of those quizzes they put in targetted for teenage girls.

“I need your opinion on something,” She pointed at one of the unfilled questions, “I’m taking this quiz for Hanako-kun, and I want to know which one you think fits him the closest.”

This sparked many questions in Kou’s head. Why was she asking him about Hanako? What is she even talking about? What kind of quiz even is this? Before he could ask any of them (or even read the question she was asking him), Yashiro pulled the magazine away and told him to think long and hard about his answers.

“Alright, which one do you think suits Hanako the most?”

“1. Words of Affirmation.”

Memories of Hanako telling him how much stronger he was getting flooded his mind. Echoes of shared laughter bounced around in his head.

“2. Quality Time.”

Kou thought about the times he felt Hanako’s spirit lingering around as he went through his school day. He was pretty sure they’ve spent a good deal of time together as they went on their adventures.

“3. Physical Touch.”

It was hard for Kou to remember a time when Hanako wasn’t physically close to him, practically hanging off him. If he thought back, the chills he used to get had gotten way weaker.

“4. Acts of Service.”

Hanako had saved his life many a time from all sorts of evil spirits. Kou probably owed him a lot for it.

“5. Recieving Gifts.”

He thought of the few little trinkets Hanako gave him every so often, saying it was something that reminded him of Kou. They probably weren’t so much as gifts as they were stolen belongings, but he could appreciate the thought.

“So? Which one’s closest to Hanako-kun?”

Kou mulled it over.

“All of them.”

“Huh?”

“Huh? Huh what?”

“No, nothing it’s just…” Yashiro was embarassed to admit what the question really was.

“Come on, what is it?”

“Nevermind!” And with that reply, she sprinted off, leaving a very confused Kou behind.
