jurassic park has a good philosophical message but unfortunately the only thing i ever take away from watching jurassic park is "god i wish i could go to jurassic park." like yeah it's a blatantly obvious don't create the torment nexus scenario, but this torment nexus has DINOSAURS.

Several years ago someone from the New York state legislature contact Billy Joel to ask if it was cool to name a road after him and he was like "don't you have to be dead to have a state road named after you in New York" and they were like "uh we'll check" and they got back to him with "yep, you do in fact have to be dead" and he said "well I'd rather be alive" and it fills me with such confidence that Billy Joel has a better knowledge of these matters than the actual legislators.

i don't know. i'm watching myself grow as a writer in real-time and it's wild, even looking back at chapter 1 of NBaR it's like a whole different girl was writing.
