~Tyrus Oneshot~

Tj POV

I stand in front of Cyrus' front door  as I let out a sigh.

'I wonder what's wrong? Cyrus has been out for a week now.' I think to myself as I bite my lip in nervousness.  

I slowly knock on the door hoping someone would answer.

Just as I was about to leave I heard the door open making me turn around.

"Mrs. Goodman, it's very nice to see you." I say scratching the back of my neck.

"It's nice to see you too Tj. Are you here for Cyrus?"

"Actually, yes I am. Do you know if he's OK?" I ask approaching the door.  

"I'm afraid he came down with a cold. The last time I saw him, he was doing some work at his desk."

"Can I-" I started, gesturing to come in.

"See him? Of course can, come on in." Mrs. Goodman answers stepping aside.

I walk into the large two story house and look around as I take off my shoes. It's been awhile since I've been in here, but it still felt like home.  

"Can I get you anything?" Mrs. Goodman asks, coming up from behind me.

"No thank you, this is enough." I say still looking around the house.  

She tilted her head slightly, confused of what I meant.  

"For letting me be apart of your family, it's truly an honor."

"Oh it's no problem Tj, you've impacted Cyrus so much, it only felt right to."

"Do you still remember where his room is?" Mrs. Goodman asks.  

"Yeah, up stairs to the left, right?"

She nods her head before walking off into the kitchen.

I make my way upstairs, gliding my fingers against the painted walls.

Once I arrive at Cyrus' room, I softly knock on the door.  

"Cyrus?" I say, opening it to look inside.  

I graze over the room to see Cyrus  at his desk with head against the table.  

I walk over to see him sleeping at his desk. He had a pen in one hand with his head under a notebook.  

He was dressed was in his dinosaur pajama pants and my Jefferson middle school basketball hoodie.  

My cheeks dusted with pink as I comb my fingers through his hair.  

'He's...adorable.' I think to myself as I look down at him.  

'I should probably put him in his bed.'

I put one of my arms under the back of his legs and the other one one his back and slowly lift him up.  

I carry him over to his bed and tuck him in. I slowly graze my thumb over his head before turning away.  

I look around his room. There was a few pictures hanging up on the wall and dinosaur figurines on his desk. His walls were mostly covered in  science posters.

I walk over to his dresser and pick up one of the picture frames. It was a picture of Cyrus and I on his 15th birthday. I smile at the memory of it; it was the first time Cyrus came out to me and the day we started dating.

I put it back down and look at the other ones. The rest of them were pictures of him, Buffy, Andi or his family.  

I make my way towards the door until I hear a soft groan come from Cyrus. I turn my head to look him.

"Tj..." he whispers as his hand reaches out to me.

"Hey Muffin." I answer and I slowly pivot myself closer to him. I grab his hand and softly glide my thumb over his knuckles.

"How are you?" Cyrus asks.

"I should be asking you that. I tried calling you but you wouldn't pick up. I was worried sick."

"Yeah, sorry about that. My parents are one of those people who take your phone away when your sick. They say it deprives you from getting your full rest."

"It's OK. I wish would've known sooner, I could've help you."

"It's fine." he says shrugging it off.

"Do you need anything right now?" I ask reaching up to touching his cheek that was now covered with pink.

"Can you stay?" Cyrus asks.  

"Sure, move over." I reply.

Cyrus moves over and I climb in bed with him. I wrap my arm around his waist and pull him closer to me. He lets out a sneeze before cuddling into my chest.  

"Thanks Teej."  

"No problem." I whisper and leave a kiss on his forehead.

I look down at him to see his eyes slipping closed.

A few minutes later I hear Cyrus' soft snores signifying that he was sleeping.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, I heard the door open. I turn my head to see Mrs. Goodman in the doorway.

"He's sleeping." I say, my index finger pressed against my lips.

"Oh... sorry, I made you guys lunch."  she whispers, sitting our food down and leaving the room.  

I let a chuckle escaping my lips before drifting off to sleep as well.

Whether or not you’re an Andi Mack fan, PLEASE READ THIS!!

as you probably know, andi mack is about halfway through season 3, and it still hasn’t been renewed for a season 4.

disney channel has had very little to no marketing for the show recently, and they clearly aren’t intent on making another season, probably because it’s more expensive to produce and because they’re afraid of backlash from groups like one million moms.

we also know that andi mack tackles important topics like racism, sexism, disabilities, anxiety, and lgbt+ issues (to name a few). for disney, this is a massive step for representation for people from different backgrounds. kids of color are seeing another kid of color being told to “tame” her natural hair. kids with disabilities are seeing that their disability doesn’t define or restrict them. lgbt+ kids are seeing a gay boy come to terms with his sexuality, and this particular boy made disney history once again on friday night by coming out to his friend by saying, “i’m gay.” kids with disabilities are seeing that their disability doesn’t define or restrict them. and let’s not forget that 2/3 of the main characters (including THE main character) are poc.

anywhoo, i’ve made a petition on change.org (<< linked). we need to let the disney execs know that we want a season 4. even if they just see it, just once, that would be enough. this petition isn’t only for us, it’s for the younger viewers as well. those kids deserve to have more positive role models from diverse backgrounds. those kids (most likely) don’t have access to any social media or change platforms where they can express their opinions. you have access to the internet, so use it. help give these kids another season of andi mack.

while you’re at it, it’d be really cool if you guys could share (whether on the petition or on here) how andi mack has affected you or someone you know. i’ve seen some really sweet stories of viewers coming out after 2x01 and 3x11.
