Chapter 1: A New Beginning, A New Me
I have decided to tell my story. It is a story that begins in light place, that quickly becomes, what to me felt like an endless darkness, yet to this day has only strived to see gloomy skies; still awaiting a bright ray of warm sun.
Up late at night in total silence with only my mind filtering in a loud commotion of exploding thoughts, racing in and out of my deep repressed memories and subconscious. Thoughts I have learned to keep back and prevent from even the slightest remorse. My name unsaid and unwritten for I want this to resonate with whoever is going through a time like mine. I am Peter, Richard, John, Billy, Tyler, Alex, Tim, Rachel, Matthew, or whoever you want me to be, I am gay, I am a male, I am a human.
My past has had quite a bit of influence on me, rather I should say it has been my greatest feat and disgrace. I grew up in a conservative household, with a religious doctrine that dictated my life and choices. Being a Jehovah’s Witness not only shaped my existence and self view, but also skewed my vision for what was to come.
Now the main premise of this text: a look into my life as a gay who grew up Jehovah Witness and how I have dealt with this life. As I tell my story remember that this is my experience and my individual view on things as they are. I will write it as I did in my journal and make it public in hopes to be a voice for all those others who have been dealing with the same situation, I know it is not easy, I will write from day to day or week to week with a continuation of my story share with those you think might benefit of it.
Until my next entry--

Conversation
Self Reflect
Me: Is who I am really who I am? Or is it a life I was taught to live? Subsume and conditioned to think a certain way, the way of a false community and belief...
Sub-Me: You are who you believe you are, yet your past, present, and future actions have and will shape you. The self you think you are is really only a piece of who you are because your self identity continues to grow every moment that you learn to accept yourself and feelings. Let go of what little or big stresses you have and delve into the greater questions of who you want to be and how you'll get there...
