I don't really have any moots so I'll give you two bits of writing :)

First from a Charvin AU that'll be posted when it's completely finished. It's my first Charvin fic

Looking around the small room, Charles finds a strange knife. Picking it up, he inspects the casing. It isn't a knife that he'd ever seen before. The handle is warm to the touch, wrapped in strips of some kind of animal hide to make it more comfortable to hold. The sheath is made of leather softened with time. He didn’t recognize the runes burned into the leather. Pulling the blade out, Charles touches the unnaturally shiny blade-to immediately jerk back and drop the knife. Pain blossoms across his fingertips as he inspects the new burn there.

And a snippet of a Malevolent/Desert Bluffs Too AU set in a universe I've lovingly named Blind Devotion

“There’s several people on the road but none seem to notice or care that you’re here. Except… Oh god.” A cold chill shoots through Arthur’s overheated body. “What? What is it?” “There’s a man approaching you. He-oh Arthur. This man is horrible looking.” “Horrible how?” Arthur takes a small step back, unsure where he could even turn to.  “Hello friend!” A bright voice calls.  “This man is covered in blood and scars. He’s wearing loose, light colored clothes and-” If a disembodied voice could shudder, John would. “He has scars running up his cheeks, forming a gruesome smile. He-Arthur, this man has no eyes.”
