writing prompts I’m working on
One Hundred Ways to Say ‘I Love You’
“Pull over.  Let me drive for awhile.”
“It reminded me of you.”
“No, no, it’s my treat.”
“Come here.  Let me fix it.”
“I’ll walk you home.”
“Have a good day at work.”
“I dreamt about you last night.”
“Take my seat.”
“I saved a piece for you.”
“I’m sorry for your loss.”
“You can have half.”
“Take my jacket, it’s cold outside.”
“Sorry I’m late.”
“Can I have this dance?”
“I made your favourite.”
“It’s okay.  I couldn’t sleep anyway.”
“Watch your step.”
“Here, drink this.  You’ll feel better.”
“Can I hold your hand?”
“You can borrow mine.”
“You might like this.”
“It’s not heavy.  I’m stronger than I look.”
“I’ll wait.”
“Just because.”
“Look both ways.”
“I’m sorry.  I didn’t mean to.”
“Try some.”
“Drive safely.”
“Well, what do you want to do?”
“One more chapter.”
“Don’t worry about me.”
“It looks good on you.”
“Close your eyes and hold out your hands.”
“That’s okay, I bought two.”
“After you.”
“We’ll figure it out.”
“Can I kiss you?”
“I like your laugh.”
“Don’t cry.”
“I made this for you.”
“Go back to sleep.”
“Is this okay?”
“I picked these for you.”
“I’ll drive you to the hospital.”
“What do you want to watch?”
“You can go first.”
“Did you get my letter?”
“I’ll do it for you.”
“Call me when you get home.”
“I think you’re beautiful.”
“Are you sure?”
“Have fun.”
“Sit down, I’ll get it.”
“I made reservations.”
“I don’t mind.”
“It brings out your eyes.”
“There is enough room for both of us.”
“You don’t have to say anything.”
“Wow.”
“Happy birthday.”
“I’ll pick it up after work.”
“It can wait until tomorrow.”
“Cross my heart and hope to die.”
“It’s two sugars, right?”
“I’ll help you study.”
“Stay over.”
“I did the dishes.”
“You didn’t have to ask.”
“I bought you a ticket.”
“You’re warm.”
“No reason.”
“I’ll meet you halfway.”
“Take mine.”
“We can share.”
“I was just thinking about you.”
“I want you to have this.”
“Call me if you need anything.”
“Do you want to come too?”
“I’ll still be here when you’re ready.”
“Is your seatbelt on?”
“Sweet dreams.”
“I was in the neighbourhood.”
“Stay there.  I’m coming to get you.”
“The key is under the mat.”
“It doesn’t bother me.”
“You’re important too.”
“I saved you a seat.”
“I’ll see you later.”
“I noticed.”
“You can tell me anything.”
“I hope you like it.”
“I want you to be happy.”
“I believe in you.”
“You can do it.”
“Good luck.”
“I brought you an umbrella.”
“I’ll pick you up at the airport.”
“Take a deep breath.”
“Be careful.”
And…
“I love you.”

What's the best way to study anatomy, for wolves/any animal AND humans? Do you just stare at it for hours on end?...
Thanks for the question Anon! I took an online anatomy course. I had no idea how to even begin studying anatomy until I took this course. Maybe I can share a few incites.
I’d say start with human anatomy because we as humans can relate to humans. Once you understand human anatomy all you have to do is compare it to animal anatomy. Everything becomes simpler and no longer seems so foreign!
1: Familiarize yourself with a few Latin terms of direction and orientation. It may seem complicated at first, but it’s so useful for describing things. Muscles and bones aren’t named randomly, they are named according to what they relate to. For example: Anterior Superior Iliac Spine. Sounds complicated right? But let’s break it down: Anterior = front of the body. Superior = Means that it is located above. Iliac = related to the Ilium (big “wings” of the pelvis) Spine = pointy protrusion.
It’s also easier to follow along with a teacher or a book when you have the basic Latin stuff down.
Key terms:Superior = TopInferior = BottomAnterior= FrontPosterior = Backlateral= SideMedial = MiddleProximal = Closer to the main bodyDistal = Away from main bodyInfra = Prefix: Below somethingSupra = Prefix: Above somethingSubcutaneous = Directly underneath the skinInterosseous = Located between bonesAbductor = Pulls away from midline Adductor = Pulls towards the midlineDepressor = Muscle that lowersLevator = Muscle that raisesErector = Draws uprightExtensor = A muscle or muscle group that straightens a jointFlexor = A muscle or muscle group that bends a joint.
2: study the skeletal landmarks and proportions. Know your skeleton. You can get away with a lot of things if you know your landmarks. The muscles need something to anchor themselves onto. The skeleton gives your sketches life.
3: learn the Artistic anatomy for muscles. You don’t need to learn about muscles located deep within the body because they create no surface form. You can buy a few artistic anatomy books to help you with this. Medical anatomy will do noting for you. Learn the muscles in sections. Torso, back, arm, upper legs, lower legs, hands and feet, ect…
I have this app I downloaded for my iPhone that I just love! It’s called L'Ecorché. You can use this to help with studying the muscle locations. It’s not going to give you information about how the muscles change with motion, but it’s a start!
Speaking of écorché, test your knowledge by tracing muscles over images. You will need your skeletal landmarks knowledge as a guide. :)
4: Study gender and weight variations. There are fat deposits in the body that contribute to its shape. Also anatomy is slightly different between males and females.
5: Use your human anatomy knowledge for animal anatomy! Learn the differences and similarities. There isn’t much of a difference really.
Get the book: The Weatherly Guide to Drawing Animals. It’s really useful!
6: Practice, practice, practice!
These are the steps I would take. How you approach those steps is up to you. You can buy books or take online classes. I took Scott Eaton’s Anatomy for Artists class. It’s so worth it! 5 stars. Search it on google and you will find it.
I think that’s about it! Send me questions if you have any. I’ll try to answer them as best as I can.
Sorry for any typos and what not, I’m on mobile.

“ART SKILL” Is subjective, someone might have a worse grasp on anatomy & technique but great ideas or grasp of color/design, or vise versa. someone might be INCREDIBLE at drawing detailed anatomy but be completely shit at composition and color theory.
The only thing that makes someone a “bad artist” is if they have a shit attitude.

any tips for drawing in general?
ye loads,
art is hard and takes time, don’t push yourself too hard and take things at your own pace. art isn’t a race and shouldn’t be treated as such
do it every day
comparing yourself/your work speed/your style to someone else is a WASTE OF YOUR DANG TIME DON’T DO IT just do you, whether your a fast worker or slow worker. again, art takes time
some people are faster or better than you at some aspects of art and that’s just A Fact bc hey, everyone is different but you should learn from them, instead of hating them or givin up (it’s hard I know)
everyone learns at their own pace, don’t worry. you’re fine <3
GESTURE SKETCHES WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE FUCKIN DO THEM
no art program is superior to the other it literally doesn’t matter which one(s) you use. if it’s comfy for you, then keep using it
DRAWING TO PLEASE OTHER PEOPLE IS BOTH GOOD AND BAD draw for yourself first and foremost tho and put other people on the back burner always
im serious draw every day..even if it’s something you’re not proud of or don’t like KEEP IT FOR LATER U WILL NEED IT
playing with brush settings is always neat
going out of your comfort zone is also pretty cool but it’s also hard, don’t worry about it too much
yes tracing images for practice and help is good and dont let anyone tell you otherwise
yes uploading traced images and passing them off as your own is shitty and bad don’t do that
yes photography counts as art/other people’s work
no, it’s not okay to use without credit just because it’s on google
don’t be a shitlord
anyways,
draw multiple times a day it helps. rlly
watch lots of streams and art videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
take a sketchbook with you everywhere if you’re easily inspired like me
don’t be afraid to take criticism, constructive (emphasis on constructive) criticism, both from artists and non-artists, is extremely helpful and valuable info to help you better your stuff
don’t worry if you don’t feel like drawing for a few days or even months. we all have dry spells. that doesn’t make you any less of an artist. you deserve to rest every now and then <3
TAKE BREAKS, FUCK
save at least 5 times, even if u think u saved, save anyways
working with a timer can be really helpful if you have ADHD like me (or OCD, as my ocd makes me hyper aware of how i’m spending my time and if i’m wasting it or not ksndflf)
switch up the bg noise from time to time, it helps
stepping away HELPS A TON TOO
sometimes narrating what you’re doing helps (i commentate myself drawing constantly and it does wonders sometimes)
all the art “rules” you hear about are just suggestions. seriously. don’t take them too seriously or try to break your wrist trying to follow them exactly
break every art rule you can holy shit
save your old work so that you can learn from it
you do need to have some of the “basic fundamentals” down to start with but don’t murder yourself trying to adhere to PERFECT ANATOMY (unless that’s what u want in your style then go for it!)
it’s okay for your style to change throughout the years. my style has changed every year and multiple times throughout each year LOL
do your best and never give up <3

A compilation of stuff I know about drawing Asian faces and Asian culture! I feel like many “How-To-Draw” tutorials often default to European faces and are not really helpful when drawing people of other races. So I thought I’d put this together in case anyone is interested! Feel free to share this guide and shoot me questions if you have any! I’m by no means an expert, I just know a few things from drawing experience and from my own cultural background.
