One small moment from Lilo and Stitch that always stuck with me is when Lilo tries to bond with the girls from her hula class. She sees them with their Barbies and tries to show off her homemade doll Scrump, which does nothing but weird out the other girls even more. In frustration Lilo tosses Scrump on the ground and stomps away, only to come back seconds later to pick her back up and hug her.

As a kid with weird interests who also struggled to make friends... man, that got me.
