Brinewin of Gher

Local Saint and Traveling Holy Woman

Born and raised in the tiny Vegetanian village of Gher. She drowned in the local river as a child and was saved by what she could only assume was the Bulb's grace. She took on the name Brinewin and devoted herself to the Bulbian Church.

She recently left Gher for the first time. She fears that church authorities will only recognize her Bulb-given gifts if she can demonstrate them abroad with followers and foreign heretics alike. She's willing to impose her blessings on the laity as many times as it takes.

After uncovering the Oracle of Sacchromyca’s witchcraft, she’s gained some of the approval she’s been craving. She’s by no means a saint yet, but she’s been officially endorsed outside of Gher, which is a start. She has quiet hope that the death of the Pontifex will bring with it more changes, more opportunities to make her mark on Calorum.

Abilities and Skills:

Vinegar-imbued tears and touch. She can both heal followers and harm nonbelievers with her acidic holy magic.

Durable, despite her appearance. She's died once before, and she won't go down so easily a second time.

Public speaking...as long as it's about religion.

Food: Dill pickle

Virtues: Driven, empathetic, charismatic

Vices: Zealous, anxious, naive

Equipment: Mustard seed rosary, dill belt, faith in the Bulb

My character for The Devoured Year, a Crown of Candy OCT! She's an unofficial living saint only recognized in her village, and she's soooo normal about it (I'm lying)

Born and raised in the tiny Vegetanian village of Gher. She drowned in the local river as a child and was saved by what she could only assume was the Bulb's grace. She took on the name Brinewin and devoted herself to the Bulbian Church.

She recently left Gher for the first time. She fears that church authorities will only recognize her Bulb-given gifts if she can demonstrate them abroad with followers and foreign heretics alike. She's willing to impose her blessings on the laity as many times as it takes.

She acts independently as an agent of the Bulb but travels with any Vegetanian forces who will have her along. In her sheltered view, Vegetanians are inherently more good and Bulb-fearing than strangers from distant lands, and they can guarantee her safety. Vegetanian soldiers and Bulbian knights are one in the same to her.
