Prynt
What a great concept. Getting rid of the need for wifi or bluetooth and just snapping your phone into a case and printing out photos directly from there.
Want one? You'll have to wait... but hopefully not for long. Prynt will be launching on Kickstarter soon. You can sign up on their website to be notified when this happens.
TechCrunch has a video on how it works:

Norway's killing it with their passport and currency redesigns
Norway's new government-issued documentation is getting an overhaul. First came news of their new currency currently slotted to be released in around 2017, which will likely feature a combination of Snøhetta Design's modern looking pixel artwork on the back and the more traditional style of Metric System's designs on the front.
Now, Norway is also unveiling the beautiful winning design for their new passports and ID cards, courtesy of Neue Design. The pages feature Norwegian landscape scenes that will change under UV light, revealing a night scene with the northern lights appearing. Brilliant.

Air Umbrella
A group of postgrads from both the Nanjing and Beijing Universities of Aeronautics and Astronautics have teamed up to revolutionize the every day umbrella. The result: the "Air Umbrella", an umbrella that uses air movement to create a forcefield to protect users from the elements. That's right, there's no actual cover to the umbrella. The cover is invisible, using only jet airflow.
The product is currently on Kickstarter to help fund the next phase of product development. Products are planned to go out to supporters in December 2015. If you're interested in one, better hurry - there's only a week left for pledges.

Music played from tree rings
Bartholomäus Traubeck has created a system that interprets, converts, and plays music from tree rings. His record, Years, contains a series of seven recordings from different Austrian trees: spruce, ash, oak, maple, alder, walnut, and beech.
The music is created with a special system he designed that translates the data from each tree's year ring data and reinterprets it into musical sounds. What he found is that every tree had a very unique sound depending on the tree's strength, thickness and rate of growth year over year.
Very cool.

World's finest 3D printing pen (for now)
Watching these LIX pens in action recently and seeing what they are able to create absolutely blew my mind. We knew 3D printing was going to change the world - it's amazing to see how far the technology has come in a couple short years.
If you'd like one for yourself, you can find the LIX pen on Kickstarter. But hurry, they're going fast.

Amsterdam agency Flickering Wall's remake of the iconic business card scene from American Psycho for Denham is nothing short of brilliant. The ad is longer than most, but you'll want to watch every minute of it.

Gingerbread Museums
Food stylist, Caitlin Levin, and photographer, Henry Hargreaves, teamed up during Art Basel Miami to assemble a series of incredible gingerbread replicas of some of the world's most iconic and famous museums.
Among them were the Louvre, Tate Modern, Guggenheim, Italy's MAXXI, Mexico's Soumaya, and Belgium's Museum aan de Stroom. The sugary structures were a part of the display at Dylan's Candy Bar during the art exhibition.
According to Hargreaves, the Belgian Museum aan de Stroom was by far the most difficult to create. I can see why - the intricacy of all the coloured candied windows is incredible.
See if you can recognize the museums in the pictures above.

"Say Something": A Great Big World + Christina Aguilera
Today, I came across this music video by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera: "Say Something".
The video is about loss and follows three separate stories. I'll let you discover what they are as you watch.
It's a beautiful video. And for anyone who has been through loss, I'm sure it'll strike a chord.

"Som Sabadell" (We are Sabadell): A coin well spent
The people of Banco Sabadell were faced with a question: What to do in tribute to the 130th anniversary of the founding of Banco Sabadell?
This was their answer. In homage to their city, they organized this event... I don't want to give it away, so you'll just have to watch.

Russian Army singing... Adele's Skyfall?
Today, I stumbled across a number of covers by both the Russian Army Choir and Russian Ministry of Interior Affairs - these men can SING. Their version of Adele's Skyfall is nothing short of impressive. Not what you'd expect from a group of men donning stern looking military uniforms complete with large brimmed caps. Bravo.
