Anyway this was just supposed to be a really basic concept sketch. but I got Very Distracted and actually really like how it ended up

its what her (technically illegal to wear in public) simple clothes look like so I have a fit for her other than her chantry robes. bc i mean she does canonically own and wear every day clothes relatively often for jobs where being associated as a Circle Mage would be problematic to downright dangerous. as far as everyone's aware she's just a guy walking around town. [and if we're getting technical there are no Enchaters or a First Enchanter or anything for her to report to since she's the only person left in the Circle she's now under the jurisdiction of so...].

If I had more time/energy outside of working on grad school things I would have made something to properly reflect the scene but I couldn't resist the temptation to put something together in honor of @neocolai 's fic "Friendlier Tides" finishing! Extra bonus of this being my first fanart of anything in almost exactly three years but i really enjoyed the lovely sibling relationship between these two :p

im partial to fantasy siblings what can I say and I love the vibe of "This is my baby brother (said brother is centuries older than him)" isildur just wanted someone to be above in the family hierarchy and I respect that.

I want to run a Dragon Age ttrpg campaign! How are you doing it? Are you using standard 5e DnD? How did you modify it to fit Dragon Age lore/mechanics? Or are you using something else?

Hey! I'm definitely not the GM but I can definitely tell you a bit about how we're integrating Dragon Age lore and mechanics!

So were using a modified version of the FATE core system, called Grit and Glory! The exact modified system is the creation of our GM, but generally FATE core mechanics should work, since the main changes were to make combat move faster and have higher stakes! We adjusted the skill tree (since obviously things like "Drive" aren't going to be as relevant), and added a second skill tree breakdown for different magic schools/focuses (for example, my character has taken her highest skill as a Spirit Healer, and also has proficiency with Primal magic, just not to the same extent).

The FATE system works really well for running games set in like... franchise worlds (for example, my first campaign using the system was a Mass Effect campaign) because it doesn't really have its own lore, and the system really encourages creative solutions, improv, and making the rules work for your narrative! There's a lot of room to play and for players to argue how to use their skills in different settings.

If you want to get the details on exactly some of the rules of our Frankenstein system I can ask the DM if I can share some of the screenshots from our rules and skills chats, but generally messing a bit with the FATE core skill tree should be enough to at least get you going.
