Day 10 - Thinspo Challenge
Tumblr media
OH MY GOD!! Giving up coffee and candy was the hardest thing ever. I tried going cold turkey with both, and lasted for 13ish days. I allow myself a little sugary snack, because I don’t want to binge and undo everything. A small snack every few weeks is going to be the way, until I develop absolute control over sugar cravings. Cold turkey is a good start, but I will resist as long as I can, then give in to avoid binging. Additionally, I will buy a snack, but I try not to eat the entire thing, because I still want to completely eliminate eating sweets.
My head was pounding for a week or so, and my energy level just plummeted, but it’s worth it. Giving up coffee and candy gave me serious mood swings, which is starting to stabilize. Keep in mind, I’ve been drinking coffee and eating candy, almost daily for at least 7+ years now. It’s safe to say that most of my caloric intake would come from sweets. However, when I stopped eating candy, I didn’t feel hungry, but I needed a new source of energy, because I was EXHAUSTED!

Day 9 - Thinspo Challenge
Tumblr media
Yes. I was called fat or overweight by family members who would point out when I gained weight. The main reason I always felt bad about it, is because my family members would always make fun or seriously criticize overweight/obese people.
I mean... they would have full blown conversations about people they don’t even know. Now, as a little kid/ adolescent, I would join in because I didn’t know better, but as I got older, I really felt bad for them. To this day, I don’t make fun of people for any reason, or gossip for that matter. It’s just hurtful, useless, and shows a lack of perspective and maturity.
So whenever a family member would say something about my weight, it would really sting. And whatever they said would loop for hours to days in my mind.

Quitting Old Ways - 30 Day Thinspo challenge
So, I just moved and I decided to quit eating candy and drinking coffee. Prior to now, I would have a coffee and something sweet pretty much every day.  So I am on day 7 of this ongoing challenge. I must say, my head is really just pounding right now, but I know that if I want to drop 8 pounds by the end of this month, then I need to tough this out. Overall, I am hoping this just lasts for a week or two, and the rest of the 30 day challenge will be smooth sailing, aside from cravings.
Overall, my ability to concentrate on a task has increased as well, so that’s another motivating factor as well.
I will say that there are two things that are really helping me and that’s green tea instead of coffee and Asian Ginseng from Whole Foods. Asian Ginseng is meant to give you energy without giving you a rush, then a subsequent crash. It comes in a dropper, but fair warning...The taste of it is just nasty, so I try not to let it hit my tongue.

Day 7 - 30 Day Thinspo Challenge
Tumblr media
My parents don’t know but when they notice they say something about it. My mom will ask me if I lost weight, and my dad is an idiot that always has something to say about fat people. Fortunately, I moved far away, so I rarely see them in person.

Day 6 - 30 Days Thinspo Challenge
Tumblr media
I do not binge. Fortunately, I absolutely hate the feeling of feeling full. Additionally, I can tolerate the hungry feeling for long periods of time, and still eat a normal amount when I do eat. This is my norm. However, there was a time in which I really just ate too much right before this challenge, because my restaurant order was messed up, and I received more food that what I actually ordered. Sadly, I pigged out, and felt it. But...ordinarily, I don’t binge.

30 Day Thinspo Challenge - Day 4
Tumblr media
This is out of order because I was too busy to post on days 3/4, but here goes.
I try not to have fears, because it’s wasteful to think about something that I am in control of. Knowing that I’m in control, only leaves me one task afterwards, which is to TAKE CONTROL!!

30 Day Challenge - Day 5
Tumblr media
Day 5: I love looking thin, and when other people are thin. It’s attractive. When I have more weight on me, I do not feel as good, and will constantly pinch at it. Additionally, I’ve been really fit before , and would love to get myself back to that. I know that fat acceptance is popular right now, but I am just not with it for my own sake.
In the end, I am doing it for myself. I do it to feel and look better, and focusing on fitness actually helps me to stay in the present moment. Controlling my nutritional intake makes me think more about why I am choosing what I’m choosing.

Expedite Your Goals
In order to shed my goal of 8lbs this month, I am going to walk/jog/run at least 8 miles per day, and completely eliminate super sugary snack options from my diet.
Mental shift:
1. I need to cut out the sugar, but not deprive myself in the transitional phase. However, there will be a day in which I can go months without having sweets. For now, I am limiting my sweets to kettle corn and marshmallows because I can actually control myself around these two things (I don’t crave them like other sweets)
2. Walk/jog/run at least 10K every day Monday - Friday, and go to the beach on Saturday and Sunday.
3. Get rid of coffee. This makes me too rambunctious to function for some reason (although I’ve been drinking coffee for the last 11 years without any real breaks). Also, all the cream in coffee probably adds a lot of calories to my total.
4. Just say no 10 times in a row, before you allow yourself something unhealthy.
5. Stop eating 2 hours before bed.

Thinspo Challenge: Day 2 October 2nd 2020
I am 5′4″, and I do like my height. One benefit of being on the shorter side is that finding your pants size is pretty easy. When you’re skinny and shorter, finding your pants size is even easier, AND less expensive. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen size 0/2/4 pants on sale versus all the other sizes, especially at my favorite high end stores.

It’s the little things.
8.5 miles in jogging and walking today, on day one of my new exercise/diet regimen! I would say getting back into the swing of exercise has its honeymoon phase, so I will be glad, but won’t rest on today’s little success. Besides, there will be a day in which I run a marathon, so it’s nothing to brag about.

October 1st? What a great day to start a diet.
October 1st is the first day of the vegan military diet (Mondays - Wednesdays). It’s great because, I don’t really have any food in the house in the first place, so grocery shopping and not snacking should be fairly easy this month.
Coupled with a morning run for the next 30 days, I should shed a few pounds in no time. Overall, my goal is to lose 8 lbs in 30 days. The way I see it, if I set doable goals, I can lose the weight and keep it off like times in the past.
Due to COVID, I have not been able to go to the gym, and hate working out at home. But, due to my slothful nature, I also have not been working out at home either, but that all stops now. Sadly, I’ve gained 10lbs during the pandemic, but that all changes tomorrow! For the next 30 days, I will post my progress and results to keep myself accountable.
The plan:
Meditate everyday.
C4 Preworkout + Full body stretch and 10K run for the next 30 days.
Military diet Monday - Wednesday, every week for the next month.
Spend the day keeping myself busy with coursework.
Read a book when I have downtime. Cut out TV!

Binge Prevention Tactics
Drinking water is not the only way to prevent a binge. Fortunately, I didn’t really have to learn to HATE feeling full as well.
1. Smoke cannabis then leave the house with a bottle of water and chewing gum. Walking around town whilst baked is just it’s own type of therapy.
2. Preoccupy myself with doing well on my coursework. This means I go over the same material about a thousand different ways.
3. Practice speaking a foreign language. This is incredibly time consuming, which is good, because it gets my mind off food.
4. Catch a train/bus to nowhere in particular.
5. Look at morbidly obese people, and just imagine if I were the same. Just think about being worse.
6. Have a spa day at home. There’s nothing that says you can’t starve and pamper yourself in the same day. Actually, because I’m starving myself, I now should really pamper myself.
7. Go over to a friend’s house.

Skinny Rich Sugar Baby
I’m usually a spiritually minded person, but lately, I just have been feeling so out of character. Being a skinny rich sugar baby is sounding like a career goal right now.
