Mammon | Obey me One-shot | Fluff w/o plot
“I-I’m not nervous! Why would I be nervous?!”
Mammon laid on the couch scrolling on Devilgram, occasionally glancing at MC who was reading a book on the other side of the room. He sighed before casually tossing it to the side. His gaze locked onto MC’s form, admiring how amazing they looked under the dim light of the lamp.
Suddenly feeling bored, he scooted just enough to make space for another person.
“Oi, MC!” He called out, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“C’mere.” His face softened with endearment, grinning as he watched their face shift into a flustered expression. When MC sat down beside him, he shifted uncomfortably. He tugged at the hem of his tank-top hoping it’d help him relax. Mammon stayed frozen while they turned to face him fully, watching them through the corner of his eye. Warmth flooded his cheeks from the proximity of MC, the blush creeping up his neck.
Hearing their giggle made him grumble softly as he glanced over at them.
“S-Shaddup! It’s not like I’m doin’ this cause I like you or anything! I’m just bored, alright?”
His hands went up in a placating gesture, “Don’t look at me like that. You… You should be grateful that I, the Great Mammon, invited you to sit with me!” Despite his defensive words, his body language remained relaxed and open.
The silence from MC made him grow anxious. He knew they were more on the quiet side if anything, but he didn’t mind – he was just happy to be with them again. His mind began to drift off, thinking about how they had left the Devildom to go back to the Human Realm. Subconsciously, a small frown tugged on his lips. However, his trance was quickly broken by a familiar voice. “You okay there?” MC asked, leaning forward slightly and tilting her head, waiting for him to respond.
His eyes met theirs, he paused for a few seconds – lost in their depths. Mammon shook his head slightly.
“Things ‘round here weren’t the same without you.” He sighed. “I just… Just missed you, alright?”
He opened his mouth to say something else, but was caught off guard when MC kissed him. When their lips met, he let out a surprised grunt. Instinctively, his arms wrapped around MC, pulling them closer. His other hand tangled itself in their hair, deepening the kiss. He poured all his feelings into it – The pain he had felt, the love he held for them, and his desperate need for MC.
Mammon smiled when the kiss was broken. As much as he wanted to continue, he also wasn’t complaining about the sight he had in front of him. MC’s chest heaved with every breath they took, heart still racing from the intensity of the kiss. “You almost killed me, dummy.” MC said playfully, causing Mammon to roll his eyes.
He shrugged, trying to act nonchalant. Instead of responding with his words, he decided to respond with his actions. He grabbed their wrist and pulled them towards him. His chest offering a soft cushion for the impact. He shifted under them slightly, adjusting his position so that him and MC could be more comfortable.
He gave them one last look. A small smile spread across his face, and a contented sigh escaped his lips. With MC back within his reach, he finally allowed himself to relax and drift off to sleep.
