Summary:  “Lan Zhan,” he said with a grin, masking the weary he felt at the sight of the man. They hadn’t parted on good terms, and he couldn’t be sure if the man wanted to kill him.He wouldn’t be surprised; the rumours he’d heard about himself when he left Burial Mounds to go to Yiling were far from flattering. It seemed as if every single thing that had gone wrong since his departure had been blamed on him, regardless of if he was even involved or not. Half the stories about him were ridiculous, but people believed them, and he knew that was dangerous.

“Wei Ying,” Lan Zhan said with a tilt of his head.

“Do you want to come in?” he asked hesitantly. If the man truly wanted to hurt him, he hoped that he’d do it outside, so the Wens would not be in danger.

“Mm,” Lan Zhan agreed, “I have not come to harm Wei Ying.”

Or:  Lan Zhan decides something needs to be done when he visits Wei Ying at the Burial Mounds. And that changes everything
