In an apocalyptic world, wangxian are in seperate groups. Wwx's group doesn't know much about him, but they love him and look up to him nonetheless. Lwj's group has let's say, his family and they are in contact with jiang's group. They are all out surviving, running , moving, killing monsters or zombies or whatever.

Lwj's group crosses paths with wwx's group, and both the groups note that there's some tension between wx, like a shared past?

Later when wwx is on a supply run or something, lwj has a convo with someone in wwx's group, and it comes into knowledge that before this apocalyptic world, wx used to live together, they were happily married. Wwx was pregnant and they were quite new to this marriage. They hadn't known e/o for a very long time before marrying, it was like 'its arranged, but we love e/o'. During the 2nd month of wwx's pregnancy, they start having some issues in their marriage, which developes eventually into quiet a big, no very big fight , something in the lines of lwj saying, why are we even having this baby, then he leaves to work. Next day they are happy and back to building their rs again, without actually talking about the issue, and then we get to know the wwx is actually broken hearted and has given up.

He had a miscarriage (it's ur choice if the baby actually dies or not) and was taken to hospital while lwj was at work and then when they meet in the hospital, they decided to seperate, but lwj wanted to be with wwx and he was gonna meet and persue wwx next day but that was when apocalypse started and he wasn't able to find wwx.

So I just realized that I have been in various fandom for such a long time (i mean, not really, but it feels LONG). So with this post, I would like to deliver my gratitude towards all fanfic writers whose stories help sustain me throughout the years.

I am not an overly active person. In reading sites (ff net and ao3) you’ll rarely see me comment on stories (i know its not good, i try to leave at least a ❤️ when i can no longer give kudos, like, or bookmark,, don’t hate me pls). Writers often say (write?) to interact with them on various platforms, but i am an over-thinker with an overly suspicious personality; i want to interact but i will overthink all my interactions and will probably leave you on read for months and be overly guilty about it but still not gonna do anything about it.

Today i scroll through my ffnet acc, and was reminded of the thrill i felt when i first read interesting fics on that site (which later on introduced me to ao3) and I could think help but feel very nostalgic. Sadly some of the fanfic i mention is no longer available.

My first venture into the fanfiction zone is through the naruto fanfics. My highschool friend introduced me to fanfiction (and also bl in general), and i was hooked. And my first ever fanfic was ‘Hate’ by RenAfri (it’s in Indonesian, so if you can read it, go ahead). And then i was enchanted by ‘The guardian of the Moon’ by nateulm. (God i got so emotional just thinking of that story), next one is Shizuka na sonata by Paradoxical Pardigm ( i have to search google for this one because I cannot find it anymore and i did not remember the name, only the story) and shizuka na sonata was the story that introduced me to the pain of reading an incomplete story (i still love it very much and i thank you paradoxical paradigm for creating the beautiful story). After those, i browse the site for anything to devour,, and by chance stumbled upon many great stories by legends such as EmptySurface (i really love most(? I think I haven’t read all) their naruto and harry potter fics, thicker than blood is by far my favorite), and Cywsaphyre (the lives worth saving is *mmm chef’s kiss*; also wandererr). I found out i kinda like hp crossover with any fandom and fell into that rabbit hole for a while. Ridell Lee introduced me into Merlin by ‘Only A Boy’, Cosette-aimee’s a necessary gift is an absolute delight to read, brainthief’s 0800-rent-a-hero was a mind changing experience for me back then who worshipped the ground albus dumbledore walk on, seito’s basically all khr and yoi fics are like water after a long draught (a real life cinnamon roll series, we weren’t born to follow, to the beat of my own drum, if there’s a song in your heart-and consequently to the song as well), heir to the sky’s the rightful sky is what introduced me into khr, (i read the fic bfore i knew khr), fruitpastilles’ to live and breathe and live again and the summoning pact is something i didnt know i needed, metamorcy’s various fics of various fandom, ( contract, basically all khr fics because that’s what i was there for), SkyGem’s stories are wondrous (YOI retirement aus, every little thing, they call me freedom), blackkat’s rarepairs which are addicting (their stories are what made me so into madatobi, criminals do it better series, the last immortal is dead and gold series, as is the sea marvellous, backslide, basically all naruto fic actually) raendown’s soulmate story collection is especially sublime (not that their other fics are not!), what you knead by agentmarkele is a heartwarming entity that lives free in my brain, and MadMothMadame’s tobirama centric fics that brought me to tears. In the chinese danmei fandom I breathe in Sami’s and the same moon shines universe (including ridiculous future bullshit and other related verses; *adored* the juniors and jin chan’s dinamic there), trippednfell’s wangxian amazing, heartwarming, and relatable fics (i keep where’s your emergency open in my browser so i can bounce back and have my fill of goodness every once in a while), and many other lovely stories and authors i cannot possibly mention.

This post was meant to be some sort of thank you to all these writers, who have brought so much joy (and not so little tears) into my bleak life. I don’t think i would be the person i am today if i do not read your stories. And maybe this post will not reach you, and i am so sorry for that.

Maybe a hot take (probably a warm take at best) but pre-resurrection Wei Wuxian couldn't love Lan Wangji the way he slowly realises he does post resurrection because he can't love both Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji with that intensity at the same time

I think he does still have feelings (that he doesn't recognise or acknowledge) for Lan Wangji before his death but he can't focus or acknowledge it because he is giving all he can to Jiang Cheng and because he has convinced himself that Lan Wangji hates him unequivocally and that they can never come together as friends.

And in return post resurrection he has convinced himself that Jiang Cheng hates him unequivocally and that their relationship can never be fixed, and he is giving all he can to Lan Wangji while distancing himself from how he feels about Jiang Cheng

I don't think he can burn as bright as he does in multiple directions so he decides one avenue is impossible and closes himself off from that. He feels things intensely in general, as much as he tries to pretend he doesn't, but when he really latches onto a person he can burn himself out

And I think that's also why he was so erratic towards the end of his first life. He was going ride or die for the Wens but part of the reason he was doing it the way he was is because he was still trying to protect Jiang Cheng

Jiang Cheng btw made some massive fuck ups but he was also so confused by Wei Wuxian during that period and hurt and just didn't know or understand what was going on. It's tempting to lay all the fault at his feet but Wei Wuxian was keeping a massive amount of information from him and seemingly rejecting him for no reason and he was young, an orphan now as well, and very alone and very vulnerable

Wei Wuxian had two great loves and he couldn't love them equally at the same time

8. Hi! I'm searching for a fic I really liked but haven't marked anywhere and now I can't find it😭 I don't remember the title nor author buy it had a very unique plot I remember quite well. Here are a few key points I remember:

Wangxian are married and I'm almost sure it was Royalty AU

Wwx lost pieces of his soul and Lan Zhan is trying to find them in other people

It was mpreg and Wangxian had Sizhui and Jingyi

It was sorta morally gray lwj, since he is sacrificing people in hopes that one of them will being Wei Ying's consciousness back

Wei Ying is not dead but he is dull and I think he bearly spoke

Everyone is still alive

There was some sort of archery competition when a character (I think it was Mo Xuanyu but I'm not so sure) that lwj suspected to have a connection with Wei Ying shows up and he crashes against a tree and Wei Ying feels his pain

Then Wei Ying started appearing in this characters mirror and spoke to him angerly because to gain that characters trust lwj had to kinda flirt and show fake affection to that character and wwx sees it through the mirror and is very angry

Then after sacrificing that character Wei Ying's consciousness is back and he refuses to talk to Lan Wangji, he also isn't aware of how long he was gone for because he only remembers that Sizhui was 3 and that he had still pregnant with Jingyi but in fact 16 years has passed

This fic was not finished from what I remember and I think it was also a part of a series. Please help me find it, thank youuu! <3 @misiasb

where wwx and lwj are already in a relationship it’s posible for it to be post canon. another sect sends a group of female cultivators to train I think it was under lwj but the leader of that group is really bold and it’s trying to get lwj’s affection (obviously not working) so they finally go to hunt something and wwx has to finish the threat cause lwj gets hurt or I think he rescues one of the girls and she takes the opportunity to steal a kiss. At some point in the story it was explained that the sect the girls come from has homophonic views and didn’t help in a case because of it.

I think WWX gave up the Tiger Seal and they were escorting him somewhere after that. The seal suddenly apparently and hide itself in WWX robes. LWJ saw it but didn’t say anything. Then later on the road it comes out and WWX was surprised bc he gave it up in the Jin.

12. Hello again!! You guys are wonderful and I was hoping you could help me find a fic I lost. I checked your relevant comp post and still can’t find it.

It was emperor!lwj, and he was married off to wwx as his empress, but cared not for the marriage (not even bothering to glance under wwx’s veil), and didn’t come to him on their wedding night. Wwx is sent off to a deserted, disrepaired palace (the cold palace, maybe?) essentially to be forgotten, and to make the best of a bad situation, wwx+some of the wens (who are ostensibly his staff) begin to farm and actually become a self-sustaining household. Lwj spots wwx one day and is immediately smitten but wwx makes him GROVEL, including doing menial labor on the farm. Wwx wants to remain cold towards lwj for the rejection, but of course eventually thaws and falls for him. I think lan xichen may have been scheming with jgy in this one but I can’t remember for certain. Any other fics where wwx truly makes lwj grovel and not just forgives him for whatever slight that you know of would also be appreciated!

14. For days I've been trying to find this fic. I'm not sure with the details like if wei wuxian is a farmer here or older (i think he is a farmer though) but what I remember is lan wangji making advances to wei wuxian while sleeping (wei wuxian here is known as a heavy sleeper ) but at some point wei wuxian got awake during those and from then on anticipate what lan wangji gonna do, so he knows what lan wangji is doing and there's a number of that that happens. Also, lan wangji is running out of time because he was about to go to the main central or the palace to take an imperial exam (? I'm not sure if that's the term) anyway, he was going with lan sizhui to take that exam. I'm not sure if he goes on the day of the exam but I vaguely remember that he confess his feelings to wei wuxian before or on that day. Then they did the everyday. ヾ(＠゜▽゜＠）ノ
