Was not expecting that to be what I was tagged for- 1. Thank you for tagging me and 2. Very funny you used my art as an example. I know I’ve had quite a few people say they reference that piece for their own works and for fics and it cracks me up every time
OMG IT'S HER ITSHERITSHERITSHER - I mean, no-no, it's no problem. 😂 As a self proclaimed doodleist myself I really admire your art! I do love the way you draw them and always wait to see any new drawings.
I understand why people use your work as reference, it's beautifully realistic.
I've been saving up to try and make a request for a drawing. 👉🏻👈🏻

Before I start my little Ted Talk, I just wanna say I hope you're doing alright and that this semester is going great for you!
Alright I just wanna give my own opinion on your idea/question about the Uncanny Valley effect with the Chain. Let me just say it can be both a yes and a no for Reader to feel the Uncanny Valley effect.
The reason being that it depends how artists and writers imagine the Chain to look for themselves. Hylians I would say are elves and by that we can actually kind off use other interpretations from other films, games and books to draw an accurate enough idea of how they would look like realistically. I believe only that an accurate depiction of what elves would look like would to stir the Uncanny Valley effect in Reader.
Let me explain.
Let's say we take books descriptions of elves and some game depictions that lean to be more realistic.
A visual example for realistic elves.
(I found these drawings on Pinterest btw.)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Credit to Goldberry.
These images come from a thread about Goldberry's thoughts about Baldur Gate 3's launch of the elf appearances on their website I believe.
These seem to be the most accurate pictures one can find of elves. If the Chain had more features based off the images then yes, Reader will be slightly triggered by the Uncanny Valley effect. This means that their faces would be unnervingly symmetrical with an exaggerated heart shape or oval shape, feline/extremely slanted eyes, defined cheekbones with of course the pointy long ears. That doesn't include some of the traits that they have by being Hylian/elf that might trigger some alarms in the Reader. If the Chain possess these features it may not necessarily be seen as unattractive but they for sure will make Reader feel uneasy and distrustful, if they aren't aware or have been exposed enough to these accurate otherwordly features. (I know I wouldn't sleep for several days if was surrounded by 9 Heroes that look like that.)
There are artists that I'm aware of that draw the Chain with quite accurate features to elves tho. The main artist that comes to mind is @snailtaco.
On the other hand -
Depending on writers and artists with their descriptions and portrayal of elf appearances, the Chain may have more human features and just pointed ears. A good example fo what I mean are the elves from the movie, Lord of the Rings. In Lord of the Rings the elves are just gorgeous humans with long ears. They are portrayed and described as the most beautiful (majestic even), strong and intelligent beings that were created on Middle Earth. So, many can see/imagine the Chain with more human features that are seen as attractive to us and by this no, the Chain won't trigger the Uncanny Valley effect.
From the more accurate pictures of elves we can also go and say that Hylians are half - elves instead, but that would also not trigger the Uncanny Valley effect as they would have more inherently human features.
A visual example of "Lord of the Rings" / more human features.

In conclusion, it could definitely go both ways and just depends on how we as the readers imagine how the Chain look. (The idea that the Chain having more realistic elf features/look more like real elves scares me if it's put in a yandere au.)
Guess whose brain cells finally collided to form a thought?
…me… that’s who…
Anyways! Since my brain has been fried I have just not been thinking much—seriosuly why on gods green earth did I decide to do 2 practicums this semester?!?!?!?— but so here’s my thought
Do you think a Modern Reader (aka Reader from our world going into LU world) constantly gets an uncanny valley feeling from the chain and just all the other beings in the LU world?
Cause I mean it could make sense, obviously when comparing characters to real life people there is something slightly off.
And not even just the pointed ears! Maybe there eyes are too wide compared to Readers, they move too fast; faster than one should, etc!
I think it could be both a funny and creepy factor to add into stories or little fics I guess, just reader always getting just a bad feeling in the back of their mind even though they know the chain are good people.
This whole thought partially stemmed from me watching observation watch and other horror games lol but also from the fact that my younger sister is constantly creeped out by Twilight Princess because it’s too real looking to her.
Anyways what are your guys’ thoughts?

Here is me defending my thoughts and opinions once again. Enjoy my headcannons and feel free to use them if any likes!
Best to worse hygiene in the Chain:
1. Warriors
2. Calamity
3. Legend
4. First
5. Fierce Diety
6. Four
7. Koridai
8. Time
9. Courage
10. Sky
11. Twilight
12. Wind
13. Sage
14. Wild
15. Hyrule
Best to worse hygiene in the Chain:
Part 2
4. First
• Alright so he was kept in a dungeon and tortured for a bit so at that time bathing wasn't such a big thing for him. But once he got out and had a dip, he decided that water was the most glorious thing for Hylians to have.
• He likes to soak in a cold bath for a long while. It's therapeutic for him and it soothes the scars littering his body.
• He does search for a body of water when they make camp for the night just so that he can wash up. He doesn't care how far he has to walk to the water - he's going to have the next best thing to therapy for himself.
• I also see him going and making sure that the younger Link's take regular baths as well. He's not as bad as Legend and Time with it but he us very persistent with the subject.
• First doesn't really use too much products like Wars and Legend, but he has his own that he specifically uses with more calming scents or those of a Middle aged man like Old Spice.
• Of course he is a knight that we know, but I don't think he'd be all that with the idea of being over hygienic. The regular and simple hygiene is fine with him, taking baths regularly, washing your hands, etc.
5. Fierce Diety
• The reason why I scored him so high is because although he is a literal War God, he's not one to like the aftermath per say.
• He might not be bothered by the sight of blood and gore or it getting on himself. But I fairly believe he likes to keep himself neat and orderly - meaning he does do a thorough wash up after.
• He wouldn't like the iron smell on him from the blood and all.
• He might not bathe every single day, but he does every second or third day when he's not covered in blood. He also has a routine that he follows with how he showers/bathes. First a good shower and then a bath.
• He does keep up with hygiene like washing his hands regularly because of his title as a War God.
• He's not picky with the smell of the soap or shampoo but he does have a preference for the more earthy type smells like pine or something similar to the forest.
6. Four
• He's a smith my people, he does sweat alot and ends up smelling like he hasn't bathed in weeks. He doesn't like the smell of sweat and it makes him feel gross when it feels like the heat is making his clothes stick to him.
• He bathes everyday but he doesn't always wash his hair. He's got certain days that he deticates for doing his hair care routine. Can't argue with me, just LOOK at his silky hair.
• Not only with his occupation, his other selves (Red, Blue, Vio, Green) also have their own preferences on cleanliness. They are the main reason for Fours awareness about his hygiene.
•  Blue doesn't mind the smell of sweat as much as the other colours. But he does hate it when his face and hair get dirty/oily.
•  Red and Vio are both the clean freaks out of the colours. At first it won't bother them as much but after a good 30 minutes their both wanting nothing more than to take a nice bath and scrub the guck gone.
•  Green is the one to take action of going and washing up after he notices any dirt. He keeps his hands clean to the best of his ability even while working.

I'm alive and thought of a different subject to write headcannons for. I'm more than happy to hear any feedback, but take my headcannons with a grain of salt. I tried to make it accurate enough so enjoy!
Best to worse hygiene in the Chain:
1. Warriors
2. Calamity
3. Legend
4. First
5. Fierce Diety
6. Four
7. Koridai
8. Time
9. Courage
10. Sky
11. Twilight
12. Wind
13. Sage
14. Wild
15. Hyrule
Here is my reasoning for the best to worse hygiene in the Chain:
1. Warriors
• I have to put him at the top cause jojo even stated that he does try and keep up his appearance on their journey. He does seem like the type to try and always seem presentable in any circumstances. So, I'd say he'd be the one to bath the most out of the Chain.
• He's also a knight and I do believe that knights had a different standard for cleanliness than others. (But Warriors takes it to another level)
• He might not have the beauty routines and what not like the modern day, but he's very thorough with cleaning himself.
• He'd take two showers before climbing in a bath. He would have a small hand bag for all his toiletries; soap, shampoo (I don't think Hyrule would have conditioner in any of the era's honestly), some nice smelling oils or something to keep up a fresh smell. Stops in villages/towns usually have him going and restocking everything, potions, armour, weapons and hygiene items.
• He have two particular scents that he prefers and often switches between the two.
• Basically the man's the cleanest a person could get in any Hyrule.
2. Calamity
• Again, knights I believe have a certain standard with hygiene. Him also being Natura/Flora's personal knight would mean he'd have to be more clean and hygienic than other knights.
• He's not scared to get his hands dirty, but I can see Natura/Flora yelling at him to wash his hands because of a little dirt. I can definitely see most of the Zelda's being neat freaks.
• He's got a simple routine thats straight forward. He also doesn't spend too much time in the shower/bath, but that doesn't mean he's not thorough though.
• He also just grabs whatever soap and shampoo he can get his hands on in villages/towns when he notices he's running low.
• He's the type to unconsciously scrub too hard and get rashes because of it.
• He's the one to get Wild and Sage to take bathes with a lot of fighting.
3. Legend
• Legend is sensitive to smell - don't ask why but he does.
• This man is the one to judge everyone else if he catches a whiff of them smelling off. He's not afraid to call them out in their odours and will try and get them to go and bath immediately.
• He does surprisingly keep himself in a routine, he makes sure to shower and then bath (if the circumstances allow it) every second day.
• He likes to do a thorough job with washing in the shower and then taking a long relaxing bath afterwards.
• He takes the second longest with bathing - after Warriors of course - not because he's got a lengthy routine like Wars, but he does have imaginary arguments/debates while he's busy.
• I can see him being picky with the smell of his soap and shampoo. He would take ages in villages/towns/markets just to find something that smells nice to him.
• He also doesn't like sharing his soap or shampoo with anyone, unless he deems it absolutely necessary like getting Wind, Wild and Hyrule to bath.

Hylian Game Titles pixel art project is complete! Please enjoy all 19 games in their respective Hylian script.
This was honestly super fun to do. I feel like I know so much more about the world of Zelda, and I've started to find small things in games I've never noticed before. I can confidently say that I'm fluent in Hylian now.
Which one is your favorite?

What the Chain thinks about a Modern! Reader using slang/meme references:
Part 3
Legend
• He didn't know what Modern! Reader was saying either when they first met. He had a blue screen moment and just pretended that reader was talking to air or something. No thoughts just vibes moment.
• Despite having some slight difficulty at the start, he does catch up to what reader is saying.
• He doesn't really care all that much for the slang, but he does find the more creative insults and cursing from Modern! Readers world interesting.
• He doesn't use modern slang as much as Wild or Hyrule, but he does use it when he deems it worthy enough.
• He's also another one to translate to Time and Twilight about the terms.
• He also has his gremlin streak where he goes and teaches the older lot the wrong meanings of the terms, but he's more casual about it. He incourages Wild and Wind the most. He'll stay perfectly quiet when he hears Wild/Wind give the wrong translation too.
• Like staded previously, Warriors and him make bets on Time when it comes to readers slang. It doesn't just stop there, if Warriors has enough rupees they make bets on anyone that genuinely has a hard time catching what reader says.
• Now I don't see him as a fan of the meme references either. He probably thinks that people in Modern! Reader's world have really broken humour or that they're just dumb.
• He's the one to face palm in the background whenever Wild and Hyrule try to recreate/make their own memes.
• Some memes he actually relates to. It's more on the darker side of the genre though as well as being an adult and hating adulting.
• I'd give this prickly little man a 7/10. He should join Wild and Hyrule in their shenanigans to complete triple threat. It would've bumped him up to an 8.5 or 9/10.
Four
• I can see Four being the third quickest to learn and understand Modern! Reader's slang.
• Him hogging the braincells of the Chain, he successfully uses it to disect the sentence and figure out what the new/interesting word means.
• He does, however not share this information for his own amusement.
• Having him hangout with Wind the most, they tend to use Modern! Reader's slang in their casual conversations to spite the old people.
• The colours however see it differently, I'll elaborate.
• Red is infatuated with the modern day language. He finds it interesting and unique as it creates a more casual and comforting atmosphere when Modern! Reader talks. He definitely looks at reader with sparkles in his eyes.
•  Blue kinda side eyes the new slang for a while before he gives in to the others interest in it. He finds it to be a more challenging when Modern! Reader uses too much in one sentence. It's silly to him that people have become lazy enough to just decide to shorten words as a whole. But he does appreciate the flow of how it sounds.
•  Green had a mild reaction to slang than most of the others. He does feel the same sentiment about the casual atmosphere that it creates but he finds it more cute in a way.
•  Vio caught interest the first time a slang word slipped from Modern! Reader's mouth. He would be the one to analyse and break down what reader says before restructuring it to make sense to them. It's like a guilty pleasure for him to do it, gives his mind a little bit of work to do.
• Four thoroughly enjoys the memes from readers world. His favourites are those that start arguments amongst the Chain. The flat earther memes.
• Four would be a 9/10 he's open minded to diversity and encourages it.
Wind
• Wind has everyone beat with how quickly he learned Modern! Reader's slang.
• Since he's still pretty young his mind still absorbs new information ten times faster than everyone else. So, I believe he'd be the quickest to learn and adapt to the way reader talks.
• He doesn't want reader to feel alienated in the group and tries to make it comfortable for them by learning things from the modern day. (My sweet baby)
• It quickly becomes a habit for him to use slang when talking, not just with reader, but with everyone else. He doesn't care if they don't understand and he'll even use it to his advantage.
• He called Time a boomer without facing any repercussions.
• Baby boy baby was surprised when Modern! Reader called him that and he was the first to ask about it. After readers explanation that its a meme from their world, Wind decides its time to learn every meme reference that reader knows and to use it to antagonise the old man.
• Wind jumps to every opportunity to make a meme reference once he's enlightened about them.
• Wind would be everyone's main person to translate - emphasis on the would be. But he gets carried away with his translations of the slang.
• Overall I'd say that he also a 9/10.

I'm trying to finish these headcannons before moving on. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions about the headcannons. Enjoy reading!
Warnings: Wild being Wild, nothing else.
What the Chain thinks about a Modern! Reader using slang/meme references:
Part 2
Sky
• Sky has some basic education for Skyloft. I'd say he finished high school standards for them, but elementary in our standards. He's still pretty smart but just doesn't show it as much as Four does.
• Sky didn't know what to think of when he first heard modern slang.
• He's one of those people that pretend like they know what you're talking about. Reader would be talking casually and Sky would nod his head, listening intently even if he really doesn't understand.
• He likes it when reader goes to talk to him, but sometimes he'd like subtitles to exist.
• He goes to Four and Wind whenever he doesn't understand a word, hoping that they'd be able to give him some indication/translation of it.
• Memes on the other hand - he's actually pretty good at understanding them. He might not find all of them funny but he does manage to catch what they're about.
• He's that person that hears a joke and goes into a full detailed interrogation of the joke. Something like, "Yeah nah, the bro took his cuzy out to the pub. After he met this nice sheela and got a nice rootin' only to find out the day after it was no sheela." Him not knowing what's going on just goes, "So, you've told me before that a 'she - lah' is a girl, yes? And you've also said a 'bro' is a shorter term for brother. So, what does 'cuzy' mean and what does the root have to do with the story?"
• After you do a break down of the slang he just lights up with a 'ooh' and does a little giggle to himself.
• It's cute but ruins a good story when you have to go into another full explanation of said story.
• He's also an 8/10 at least he'll laugh at memes even if he doesn't find them funny.
Wild
• Thinking about him losing his memories some of his schooling had also been lost since his resurrection.
• I believe Wild is the most adaptable of the Heroes. He had to be adaptable out in the wild in order to survive.
• So, he'd be the quickest - next to Wind - to catch Modern! Reader's slang.
• He would also interpret it into his own day to day talking. His Hyrule is more flexible in my opinion to different ways and languages than other Hyrules.
• Him along with Wind and Four are your main translators to the others. So, when someone is in doubt they run to Wild to ask about a certain word or abbreviation then run back to reader and continue the conversation.
• However, Wild does radiate chaotic energy and sometimes whenever the others try to learn, he'd casually tell them the complete opposite of what it means for shits and giggles. An example, "Wild, what does 'Yo - lo' mean?" "You only lick once." The person would thank him and run back to you, "Indeed only one lick." "What the -"
• This annoys the living daylights out of Twilight, Time, Warriors, First, Calamity - basically all the serious Links.
• Wild appreciates memes from Modern! Reader's world. In fact he sometimes tries to recreate them with readers guidance.
• Other times he would try and create an entirely new genre of meme little does he know he already is with some of his really cursed selfies on his Sheikah Slate.
• Overall 10/10 best boy cause he gets it and screws with people that don't.
Hyrule
• In my honest opinion I don't think this boy had any type of schooling. Most of the things he knows comes from pure experience. He might've been taught more about magic, curses and things more related to the fae since he was raised by them, but no school system like ours.
• Hyrule much like Twilight thought it was just an accent rather than the modern day and age talk when he first heard it.
• Someone had to sit him down though to tell him it's not.
• Hyrule learns from Wild about the terms and their meanings as Wild starts using them more frequently in his own speech. So, Hyrule starts picking up that habit as well and sooner or later you got two four in actuality people talking like anyone from your world!
• I believe he would purposefully go to Legend and start telling him some of the slang that he's learned through either you or some of the others. It's similar to a kid running up to their parent to show them a picture that they drew. Legend actually appreciates this and finds it cute but wouldn't admit it.
• He does surprisingly catch on to memes quick.
• His brain works in mysterious ways as well so he'd instantly understand Modern! Reader's references.
• He does go and have little back and forths with Wind when referencing memes that reader uses the most. It's turns into a challenge between Hyrule, Wild, Wind and Four of who is right with Modern! Reader as the referee.
• He genuinely believes its interesting to hear how different the people in Modern! Reader's world talk in comparison to any of their Hyrules.
• Overall he's an 8/10.

Here's another post regarding the Linked Universe created by jojo. I'll try and finish all the rest some time. Enjoy!
What the Chain thinks about a Modern! Reader using slang/meme references:
Time
• I believe that Time being the oldest of the Links is old school/traditional when talking.
• He's using real medieval talk, things like saying "Salutations/greetings, my friend." Instead of just saying a simple, "Hi/ Hey, how you doing bud?"
• He's the type of guy to not use too many abbreviations when he talks. Things like saying, "cannot" instead of "can't." He just radiates that energy.
• So, him meeting a Modern! Reader would be ... quite the interaction. The first time meeting reader would've startled him as they use slang and just throwing him for a loop.
• He's kind of like the cat with the buffering wheel on its forehead, but that's only whenever reader speaks or opens their mouth.
• He gets one of the younger incarnations to translate to him as reader joins the group on their adventure.
• He'll try his best to understand the terms the more he grows on the reader.
• As for memes tho - no. Just straight up no. He doesn't understand them or the readers broken humour. Gremlin humour he gets but the idea that reader bursts out laughing while looking at something remotely close or similar to meme just makes him worry.
• He will however try and use some of the terms when he talks, but he just ends up butchering them or using them incorrectly. He sounds like the hip dad trying to stay in touch with the kids.
• 6.5/10 He tries to understand/learn readers slang and that's just sweet. He would've scored higher if he wasn't that dad.
Twilight
• Twilight - similar to Time - is more old school when talking. He's not as uptight as Time and does use abbreviations when talking and he slurs some of his words sometimes.
• The fandom has established that he's got an accent and it makes it harder to understand him when he talks sometimes.
• Poor guy thought it was the same for you when he first heard you use slang. He genuinely thought it was just an accent.
• He doesn't always understand, but he's quicker than Time to learn what you mean. He's the one to sometimes translate what you say to Time after Wild explains it to him first  and half the time it's incorrect though does Wild do it on purpose? Maybe.
• He's the one to ask Wild in his spare time about some of the terms and how to use them when talking to try and impress you.
• With memes though ... he also buffers. Modern! Reader would make even the slightest reference to a meme and he'll sit and buffer for a bit before asking. Its funnier when he's Wolfie.
• He finds certain memes to be funny though. Cowboy memes or any farm memes would tickle his funny bone.
• He's a 7.5 or 8/10 because he's a sweetheart and uses his free time to try and get closer to Modern! Reader even if it's just by using some slang.
Warriors
• I'd imagine him having a bit of a higher education since he's a knight and having travelled with Athena to other kingdoms. He would use the military lingo and the more posh Hylian/upper class Hylian.
• He talks proper and sometimes pronounces words a little different. Almost like he's got a fancy British accent.
• He's taken back by the loose words reader uses some confuse him leading to him asking questions.
• He's actually one of the Links that's more interested in learning slang and memes from readers world.
• He's a bit more open to readers world and the quirks that come with it other than just the slang.
• He tries to figure out the slang by taking in the entire sentence and trying to figure it out. He's definitely the cool uncle when he uses slang and correctly.
• He's Time's other translator when Twilight isn't around.
• Warriors actively stays quiet whenever reader talks because he does like how well slang rolls off readers tongue.
• He wouldn't fancy the meme references all that much, but he tries and keeps an open mind.
• Warriors does make bets with Legend about some of the terms and what they mean or how Time will react to reader using more slang/meme references through the day. He'll sometimes egg reader on with any military memes especially the Area 51 memes.
• Overall he's a solid 8/10.

"i'm gonna talk about dilf twilight," "i'm gonna talk about yandere twilight," "oh, i rarely see anything on time, let me talk about him—" NO‼️‼️
i'm gonna talk about how in skyloftian culture, people who are proposing to their lover give a molted feather from their loftwing for them to permanently add to their accessories (like a braid in their hair, or pin in their shirt).
i'm gonna talk about how when sky would try to propose to his significant other (or friend that he's interested as more than a friend) not from skyloft, he's met with complete and utter confusion, but not unappreciation.
i'm gonna talk about how sky recognizes that you may not know the full extent of his gift, so he's bolder when it comes to his acts of affection. he tries to get the point across in a way that he feels they'll understand, also trying to incorporate skyloftian culture into it.
i'm gonna talk about how when they mention marriage, he prays you're talking about him— or when you bring up proposing between yourselves— he offhandedly mentions having already proposed however long ago, and how he thinks you accepted.
i'm gonna talk about how i'm gonna go feral if i don't consume any sky/reader content soon, i'm gonna commit several warcrimes 🥰

I was tagged earlier today for a prompt by the lovely @peepthatbish to write. It's a bit longer than expected, but I hope everyone enjoys. Thank you for tagging me! ❤
Disclaimer: I don't own Linked Universe that is jojo's work.
Warnings: Wild and Hyrule being slight menaces to Sky, Sky's kinda mean.
1,542 Words
Tempt - 5 times Hyrule tried cooking and the 1 time it came out alright.
The hero of skies rarely had any negativety running walking through his brain. However, his brothers (namely Wild and Hyrule) trying to tempt him to eat dubious food the latter made let some negative thoughts stay inside his head.
....
The soft clanging of the wooden soup ladle Sky had gifted Wild in the early start of the adventure was combined with the swirling of the delicious aroma of the contents inside the pot. Wild was taking the time to teach Hyrule some recipes that he had learned through his time in the wild of his Hyrule.
"Alright, continue stirring the broth as you add an acorn and a Hyrule herb into the pot." Wild instructed as he pointed over to the ingredients that were kindly placed on a cloth for Hyrule.
Hyrule's hazel eyes flick between the pot and the ingredients. His left hand holds the handle of the ladle, gently continuing the stirring motion that Wild taught him as his right hand grabs the instructed ingredients.
Hyrule tossed the last of the ingredients into the pot with a quiet 'blop' sound as they made contact with the broth.
"There!" Hyrule called out as a smile spread across his face, "What's next?" Hyrule looked over at Wild expectantly, smile ever present.
Wild snorts at his sword brother's eagerness. "Now you continue to stir it for a little while. I'll tell you when to stop and we can have a taste yeah?" As he finished his sentence Hyrule vehemently nodded his head in agreement causing a chuckle to come from Wild.
It was a nice bonding experience for the both of them after being grounded by Legend after their previous adventure that led the Chain to believe the worst of the worst had happened to the two young men.
"Alright, alright! That's enough stirring, now let's taste it," Wild held out his hand and Hyrule handed him the ladle. Scooping up as much of the broth as Wild could, he brought it closer to his mouth.
Taking a long whiff of the sweet-and-salty drumstick broth before putting his lips on the ladle. Wild rolled his tongue in his mouth as he tasted all the flavours of the broth that Hyrule made, with his guidance, before giving an approving hum.
"So, how does it taste?" Hyrule asked, leaning closer to Wild in anticipation. Wild smiled at him as he held the ladle out towards Hyrule, "I believe you successfully made a hearty broth!"
Hyrule smiled having a taste himself, humming as his eyes grew wide from the bubbling excitement of having made such a delicious broth!
"Let's get someone else to taste it as well," Hyrule suggested as Wild nodded.
The two searched through the makeshift camp that the Chain had made before stumbling on Wind and Sky. The former was happily talking about an exaggerated adventure he had in his Hyrule.
Walking up to the duo as they nodded at each other in greetings.
"Hey guys, I just finished teaching Hyrule a recipe of mine. Do either of you wanna be a taste tester?" Wild announced placing his hands on his hips with Hyrule adding on, "Yeah it tastes wonderful!"
Wind and Sky's expressions morphed into those of pure horror as their ears pinned back. A nervous smile formed on Sky's face, fidgeting with his hands as he stuttered out a reply, but was cut off by Wind's disruptive actions.
Wind shot up from his place, face terrified as his wide baby blue eyes flick around the area - not dating to meet Wild's or Hyrule's - before declaring aloud.
"Sorry I can't, I forgot I had to go and help - " Wind thought briefly of a name he could use as an excuse, eyes still avoiding Wild and Hyrule's. "Time? Time  - yes, Time! I have to go help Time with ... something!" The boy finished hastily.
"But isn't he fishing with - " Hyrule cut his own question off by Wind's spinning as he ran for dear life. "Can't talk! Gotta help, bye!" Wind yelled back barely sparing the trio a glance as he made haste.
Sky seemed like he wanted to cry as he watched the young lad abandon him to his fate. Turning back to Hyrule and Wild as they looked at him, the latter involuntarily giving him puppy eyes as the former frowned in disappointment.
Sighing to himself before agreeing to the request, Wild and Hyrules expressions brighten to blinding, innocent smiles as they cheered. Sky silently sent a prayer to the Golden Three to have mercy on his taste buds while sluggishly following behind the two young men.
"Oh you're going to love it! I followed Wild's every instruction," Hyrule chirped as his hands were placed on Sky's shoulders, urging him to take a seat as Wild skipped over to the soup ladle in the pot and scooped up the broth and blew lightly.
Sky's azure eyes closed as he gave a tight smile at the two's eagerness and excitement, internally dreading preparing himself for the horrid taste that will soon envelope his mouth.
In truth, Sky wanted to run away from the pair just as much as Wind did, but he didn't have the heart to deny the two - not after looking at their pure expectant innocent faces.
He didn't want to be the unfortunate taste tester, the memory of the disgusting green bubbly broth Hyrule had made early in their adventure had ingrained the rotten, bitter taste of beef into his mouth and soul.
The memory makes Sky shiver in his very spot as he fearfully sceptically eyes the gravy-like substance contents in the soup ladle, swallowing thickly.
"Come on! It's really good I promise!" The smile was evident in Hyrules voice as he encourages Sky whilst firmly holding Sky in place as Wild urges the ladle towards his lips.
The ladle touches Sky's lips as fear spiked in his core making him jump slightly in panic. Wild and Hyrule not having noticed or just plainly ignoring his sudden jolt kept encouraging him.
Closing his eyes once again as he gathers all the courage that he, as the Chosen Hero title, could manage before opening his mouth to let Wild push the ladle into his mouth.
To Sky's surprise the broth didn't taste anything alike to Hyrule's previous attempts of cooking. The broth was the perfect amount of watery and thickness with a nice blend of honey sweetness and salty taste of a flavourful drumstick.
His hands moved to grab the soup ladle out of Wild's hand as he finished the spoon's contents. Humming in surprise delight as he licks his lips. His wide azure eyes look over at the pot before turning to the pair.
Hyrule and Wild stared at him, impatiently waiting for his feedback on the broth. Sky nodded his head as he spoke, "That's really good! It tastes exactly like Wild's cooking. Are you sure that you made this Hyrule?"
Sky joked as Hyrule nodded proudly to him, chest puffed out and hands on his hips. "Sure did, but I owe my thanks to the Chef," Hyrule's hand makes contact with Wild's shoulder in a brotherly slap as they chuckle.
"Well, we're glad you like it two. It's settled then, that's tonight's dinner." Wild announced, giving Hyrule an ego boost from his hard work.
....
As the day went on and the Sun started to retire, casting the sky to become a deep blend of purple and blue hues indicating the crepuscule twilight to embrace the land of Hyrule.
Everyone starts to gather around the campfire.
Wild, Hyrule and Sky have already made themselves comfortable as the others take their place. Idle chatter about how their own day went to each other making the atmosphere cosy.
"So, what's for dinner, Chef?" None other than Warriors speaks up, hungry from his training with Legend. The conversations die down quickly as everyone waits for Wild to speak.
"Actually, I didn't make dinner tonight," Wild stated with a smile on his face as he shrugged his shoulders at Warrior's question.
Wild and Hyrule snickered to themselves at the confused expressions on the faces of their sword brother's.
"If ya didn' make dinner then who made dinner?" Twilight spoke up from the group, curious who made the wonderful smelling food as he glanced around the many unnervingly similar faces of the Heroes of Hyrule.
"I did." Hyrule stated, smiling wide and eyes glinting in pride.
The rest of the Chain did not seem to share the sentiment as their expressions portrayed the same emotion as Sky and Wind's did earlier that day - pure horror.
The camp went silent as everyone stared wide eyed at Hyrule, the only sound coming from the fire.
Sky, having grown uncomfortable with the silence, missing the lively chatter decided to break the understandably heavy silence.
"It tastes really good. Wild and Hyrule hand me taste test it for them earlier today," Sky explained watching heads snap in his direction as faces turn from horror to bafflement.
Surprise mixing on their faces by him having spoken up.
A single thought shared almost telepathically between everyone at that moment.
'Sky had finally lost his sanity.’

I love your brain, I truly do, with adding more modern day slang in the medieval ages.
Thinking about it there will either be alot more explaining to do with what is actually meant when we use slang.
Or a completely more chaotic route of just ignoring their confusion and letting them try and figure it out themselves.
Something along the lines of, "What does lmao mean?" "Lol where past that convo, man. Please keep up with the group chat."
Or "What is this 'smash or pass' game you seem to play?" "It's for me to know and you to find out."
As for the vines and memes that is ingrained into our minds at this point - think of all the pure confusion at the references.
Y/N: "Wow look at those chickens!"
Warriors: "Those are cuccoos?"
Y/N: "Can we go to McDonalds?"
Time: "What? What's 'Mac-Donalds'?"
Y/N: *in a southern accent* "I don't need friends. They only disappoint me." *finger guns*
Twilight: *concerned* "No - friendship is a beautiful thing and -"
Nobody can stop me from thinking that Y/N would try and influence Wind.
I believe he'd be the closest to understanding the slang if he spent enough time with Y/N. First it'd start of small by teaching the acronyms such as lol, lmao, idk, etc. Then moving encouraging him to use slang more and more when he talks to the other Links.
Causing more confusion and two gremlins cackling in the background.
I'll make a separate post about what each of the Chain think about modern slang.
First Post and I'm stuck on the idea of being isekaid into LU with your best friend. Here's of my thoughts about the shenanigans. -
Legend: Why are we bringing them along? *pointing towards the two humans fighting each other*
Friend: WHY WON'T YOU LET ME KISS YOU?! IM YOUR BEST FRIEND I HAVE PRIVILEGES?!
Y/N: I'D RATHER DRINK AN ENTIRE BOTTLE OF HAND SANITISER BEFORE YOU LAY YOUR LIPS ON ME!
Time: ...
Y/N: *pointing at Legend* He looks like he bites.
Twilight: He probably does.
Hyrule: He does.
Warriors: I was bit.
Sky: I witnessed it.
Legend: What is wrong with her?
Sky: What do you mean?
Legend: I told her a story about fighting a boboklin and she replied by saying, "dead-ass." What does that even mean?
Hyrule: I got a hug from her after healing her.
Twilight: I got kisses from her as Wolfie.
Warriors: I got praised by her for my strength.
Wind: I get all her attention!
Legend: I got asked why my hair is pink.
Legend: You're so useless! You can't fight! Can't heal! God, why are you so useless to the group?
Y/N: First of all, I won't be sassed by man wearing a skirt. Go frolic in a field of daisies if you're so upset.
Four: I can't believe that the Minnish numbers are dwindling in the future! Just look at them! *holds up hands cupped*
Y/N: *not seeing anything in his hands* Okay sweetie, I think that's enough for today. Let's go take a nap, okay? *concerned*
Twilight: On the ranch I had to wrestle some Ordon Goats whenever they go on rampages.
Y/N: I believe that, you're built like a shit brick house. You don't just get that figure by sitting and doing nothing.
Y/N: You ever wonder if the wind is trying to tell us something, but we just forgot how to listen to it?
Time: I just want you to stop saying weird shit.
Wind: *slightly panicked at the thought*
Four: How do you keep on doing this?!
Wild: *broke another sword* I don't know what happened to it...
Y/N: ....
*Flashback*
Y/N: You think that you could cut a bolder in half by trying some breathing technique?
Wild: I have no idea what you're talking about, but I'm invested.
Y/N: Oh yeah. I have like Iron deficiency and so sometimes when I stand up to fast I get flashbanged. I'm also prone to blackouts as well.
Hyrule: *concerned noises*
Four: Remind me to keep an eye on you.
Friend: I wonder how humans taste like?
Y/N: Research has shown that most of the food that we eat contain human DNA. So just think about how chicken burgers tastes like from McDonalds.
Friend: So like chicken then?
Y/N: Pretty much.
Twilight: *overheard their conversation* WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
*Four and Time looking at Y/N and Friend*
Four: Have you ever noticed how they don't talk to each other. They just pull faces and make noises.
Time: Maybe it's a human thing?
Friend: *pulling a 'did-you-hear-that-shit' face*
Y/N: *pulling a 'giiirl-I-know-he-didn't' face*
Legend: *secretly understanding and nodding along*
Time: We are the Hero's of Hyrule! We don't show vulnerability.
Y/N: You know what that sounds like - toxic masculinity.
