So funny thing is that i was talking to my mother yesterday about a friend that had adhd and she was like "oh if she has adhd she probably has something else" and i was like welp actually she was diagnosed with autism too a few months ago but she's not completily sure about it even with the diagnosis bc personal reasons and suddenly my mother turns to me and says "i used to think that you had autism too because [insert reasons here] but i asked [insert acquaintance of my mother that knows me since i was like 9-10 and apparently works with children] and she just thought you were extremily shy" and i was like flabbergasted because i have thought that i might be autistic on and off since i was like 17-18 and knew what it was and having my mother tell me that at some point she thought the same felt validating in a way even if i'm still not sure if i'm autistic or not
