I think one of my all time favorite parts of the aftg trilogy is in tkm where Neil is fully convinced he’s living the last few hours of his life so he says goodbye to Neil Josten and everything that name meant and immediately his internal dialogue flipped to referring to himself as Nathaniel.

His life as Neil was everything to him. It was the first time he’d had a genuine life to live in years and he gave that part of himself his own personal funeral so it couldn’t be something taken away from him by his father. His father could kill Nathaniel, but he’d never let him kill Neil.

When jerejean sleep in bed together more often than not they face each other & wrap their arms around one another and Jean will shove his hands up Jeremy’s shirt 1.) because his hands are usually freezing and he likes to make Jeremy squirm but also 2.) because he really likes skin to skin contact and being as close to Jeremy as possible but also 3.) Jeremy is very warm and 4.) he discovered Jeremy likes when he traces shapes / lightly drags his nails over his back and also 5.) he likes to run his fingers down the knobs of Jeremy’s spine

An isometric drawing of Neil's (not at all book accurate) dorm room!

This is my first time attempting drawing with an isometric grid, and that shit is HARD. This casually took me 44 hours to complete so excuse the erratic timelapse... Anyhow, this was EXTREMELY effective for curing art block, so highly recommend!

jerejean being the type of couple that takes AGES to leave a dinner or a party > Jeremy cannot say a short goodbye to save his life. He'll stop to chat to absolutely everyone on their way out while Jean's just standing there going "please I beg you, let's leave already"

In the end Jean has to wound an arm around his waist and steer him out, or alternatively drag him out by the hand, while Jeremy's still yammering about (secretly Jean's absurdly fond of this quirk of Jeremy's, while Jeremy's quietly amused by Jean's "right, I've had enough" caveman behaviour and he'll do it on purpose sometimes)

I keep seeing posts about why do the freshmen hate Neil and the response is that people forget Neil is an asshole. True

We spent 3 books inside of Neil’s head so we saw the thought process of Neil’s words

Imagine being Kevin in the first book and you’re chilling in your apartment when a 5’3 man comes in and starts yelling at you in French about not touching his things then calls you a cr’pple and runs away. Like that’s weird and an asshole move

That’s also only 1 example and one the earliest things Neil does before shit hit the fan

i am at disneyland right now and DYING to know everyone’s headcanons on what different aftg characters are like at theme parks.

like, who is just there for the thrill rides? who is the theme park foodie? who demands everyone spend extra money on lightning/fast passes? who has a whole itinerary of what to hit first and then the rest of the day? who likes meeting the characters? who hates theme parks but is dragged along? who dresses up in full theme? who has an annual pass? who complains the whole time? i need to know it ALL.
