Finished off the Game of Thrones x Dimitrescu Women dragons series with the big Lady herself. Any guesses as to which dragons from the show inspired her design?

It has also occurred to me I’ve drawn Alcina’s feet twice now, which is not an important fact but a fact nonetheless. Anyways, the Jarl’s taking laundry orders at this time so please make a single file line in an orderly fashion.

❤️ — Do you like writing short fics or long fics?

Gosh this question! In theory I like short fics, but mine never stay short for very long. It is actually a huge running joke. I come up with a simple story that should be only a single chapter or a few, and then it evolves into this massive project with in-depth story lines, plot, characters, you name it. Next thing I know I have about 30 chapters manuscripted lol In the long run, I do enjoy writing longer fics more because I enjoy (and find it damn near impossible not to lol) worldbuilding and telling epic tales with epic stories and epic characters.

🤩 — What led to your interest in the fandom?

This one makes me laugh. The short answer is “I like tall women who scare me”, but the longer answer is this: the Resident Evil universe has been with me for a long time in many aspects. I have a lot of good memories connected to it with family members of mine. However, I was mostly “on the outside looking in” at this time. What drew me to eventually become involved (ie. write/produce art) on a deeper level within the fandom was due to the creation of Lady Dimitrescu’s character. Even though she is a villain in the game, something about her as a character felt so vibrant in a way that made me feel as though there were so many stories her character could tell or be apart of despite the original intent for it. When I entered the fandom (about a year after the game’s release) there were already so many amazing fics and artworks that I felt the need to contribute my own creative inner workings to the mix. So I began!

��� — Do you write for yourself, for others, or both?

Both, for sure. I like to tell stories I find interesting or that I would want to read, but I also enjoy writing stories that people can connect to and help them see or feel through another person’s eyes. And of course, I also enjoy collaborating with other writers. For me, reading and writing is a way to live more than one life. If, in the process, that brings me closer to someone else’s story then I feel blessed to have created content for that has made an impact in some way.

💘 — Is it easier to write angst or the write fluff?

I would argue personally it is much harder for me to write angst simply due to the plot elements that are required to make angst a successful literary tool. I find writing fluff comes a little easier to me because it feels “less involved” if that makes any sense. Coming up with angsty plot lines or story ideas however, comes pretty easy to me too! I just find the execution of angst within a story to be more complicated, yet utterly decadent when done well!

Okay so I’m finally getting these here we go!

🎬 — If a movie or show were based on your fic, which fic would you choose and who would you cast?

This may require its own individual post, but lemme try. So I’ve already done a fancast of Some Monsters Are Born that’s lurking around here somewhere on my blog. After that, I think I’d want to cast Shield Me for sure. I think my Resident Evil-based characters would stay the same for the most part as in my SMAB post, though to play Jarl Dimitrescu I would replace Antje Trau as Alcina for Gwendoline Christie purely for height requirements. Gwen is not my first choice for an Alcina fan cast (I still like her for Alcina she’s just not my fav please don’t come at me lol) but I think she would KILL IT as the jarl and all her giant, malicious enigmatism. Also, because of Gwen’s work as Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones, we all know she can swing a sword — well axe in this case. As for the reader and company, I do have some additional thoughts. The reader specifically is really up to your imaginations! However, my personal fancast of her would be Sophie Turner, another Game of Thrones veteran, for her height, acting ability, and overall appearance/affect since my own headcannon of Red is a spicy redhead. For the other Shield Me specific characters, I could see Danielle Rose Russell as Signe, Charlie Hunnam as Ulf, and Gerard Butler as the stern Jarl Balgruv.

🎨 — If someone made fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

Oh gosh this is so hard to choose! I love all the fanart that get so much, but I do have to say I enjoy very much seeing all of your SMAB werewolves. If I had to choose a particular scene, I would love to see your reader’s first transformation into their Vârcolac form in the dungeon with Cassandra. It was meant to be a badass scene and I think it would awesome in art form! Also — seeing literally any Shield Me scene in art form would probably make me faint on the spot just saying 🤣

🧪— Do you research your fics?

Yes! EXTENSIVELY! For all my fics I tend to research my butt off because I know as a reader I enjoy reading pieces that “make sense”. For example, for Some Monsters Are Born a ton of pathological and viral research was required in order to make the reader’s condition seem more scientific and less like paranormal coincidence. Similarly, in the case of Shield Me, there is a rich historical aspect of Dark Ages Scotland that I do my very best to respect while also keeping the world somewhat true to the original game’s supernatural content. All that being said, no more research has gone into any of my other fics than Your Blood In My Veins. There’s so many aspects of it that require accuracy due to its historical elements, as it is set in the early 1950s, and it’s for this reason it has taken a long time to develop. It also must be medically accurate for the time period, since the plot’s prime focus is the telling of Alcina’s origin story.

Shield Me/Life Update:

Hello everyone, it has been a while since I have been active, so I wanted to address my absence. Unfortunately, I had a life event occured mid-summer that caused everything including Shield Me to take a brief pause. However, I have come bearing good news. Shield Me will make its return soon with Chapter 9: The Hunt Pt. 1. It is written and scheduled for editing, so keep an eye out for its drop on AO3 later this week. In addition, expect an influx of Lady D art in the near future. I will also be going through my ask box and answering those as well. Thank you all for your patience. Cheers!

** STOLEN ART: STORKCLIPS.NET **

It pains me to have to write a post like this. But I have recently discovered a website trying to illegally sell my artwork without my permission. I found the site by simply googling “Vermithor” in the search bar with the goal of finding new screenshots of him from the recent House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer to use as reference for a new sketch of him. Imagine my surprise when I found my art came up as one of the most popular images of Vermithor! But my elation did not last long. The site in question: storkclips.net appears to steal artwork and photographs from artists and cosplayers to sell for their own benefit. Not only that, but it appears to be a scam website too and I suspect they are also guilty of data mining. I just wanted to make everyone aware of this so no one else falls victim to their crap. When I attempted to file a DMCA infringement complaint through their software, I was immediately denied access from the site. It is likely they have IP address assessing software that block people who try to accuse them of their crimes from accessing the website again. But I know for a fact the website is still active. This is what happened right after I filed the complaint:

I have included below screenshots of the original artwork I posted on tumblr of my updated Vermithor sketch compared to the thief site’s “product”. It is very clearly my art, as they didn’t even bother to remove my signature in the corner at the bottom of his neck. They also used the first portion of my art’s description Updated Vermithor sketch based off new concept from tumblr as their “product’s” title. It is also clear they completely ignored my VERY obvious disclaimer in the worst way possible.

Also, when I googled the website to try a find out information on them what I found gave me reason to believe this website, along with their products, are likely a fake. I’ve posted a screenshot of one of the only reviews I found on storkclips.net that warns people of them being scammers. What this person says is true too, the contact email the site has listed is a fraudulent address and doesn’t work.

To all the creative content makers out there, I suggest taking a look around this website to make sure they haven’t stolen any of your creative property too. I will post a link to my stolen art from the site below. If anyone has any more information, please feel free to reach out to me and I will update this post. Maybe if we can call them out enough on their scams they will shut the site down. Everyone please stay safe.

EEEKJKGHJA I totally stared at this for like 20 mins straight trying not to blush while reading it over and over. She totally has Jarl Alcina vibes! I definitely want to see her as she evolves her fashion! So happy to see our favorite jarl getting all the love 💗

I’m playing Dragons Dogma 2 and I’m loving it. I’ve been too busy with work and school that I haven’t done anything else but school work sleep and maybe eat sometimes. Anyway look at yhis lady right here, she’s my main pawn.

She gives me vibes of the Alcina from “Shield Me” by @wherethewolfsbaneblooms and I absolutely love it lol. I debated on whether trying to make Briene of Tarth or Alcina so I had to do a coin flip and I’m so not mad at all. We do need better armor but she’s on her way to becoming a highly sophisticated warrior.

Nothing like having our lovely Lady D with us and giving us high fives when we kill things together lol. Also I may have lost it when I jumped of a small rock and she legit caught me. Like I’ll definitely clip it if she does it again. 🫣🫠🤭
