Wordscorrupt here! We have A LOT of asks to get through. In the meantime, here are little sneak peeks of the ones we have been working on! You can guess what the overall whump for each one is for fun ;)

(1) Imagine Peter walking out of his room, blanket thrown over his shoulders, he has rubbed his eyes so they are red, he is small and fragile and his steps are small, he is the perfect image of a sick kid.

(2) Peter is strapped down so he can’t even try to relieve any of the burning pain. He feels like a lab rat as the man that has poisoned him picks and prods at the rash. As soon as it hit his organs, that's when the symptoms start - fever, chills, nausea - you name it.

(3) Tony holds him close, rocking him, pressing kisses to his bloodied head. He’s apologizing for not getting there sooner and not protecting him.

(4) “If I jumped from a bridge, would you do it too? Wait… don’t answer, you would.”

~

(5) Tony hears the entire process, he hears the screams and how the sound turns into loud, low mumbles. Peter is never silent… Of fucking God, they just need to cover his nose and he will suffocate.

~

(6) Tony notices how tense the boy is, absent-minded and his grades start slipping so Tony, from May’s orders, changes lab to study hours but Peter is not at mental peak. And Peter has horrible nightmares, he screams and Tony is certain he is getting murdered. The boy even wets the bed, this concerns Tony immensely but he acts calm because Peter is humiliated.

(7) What about the first time that Tony tickles Peter in front of the team and Peter is trying so hard not to break in front of them meanwhile they are all just in shock of how playful Tony is with Peter, just like a father would be.

(8) Tony is fetching something from Peter’s room, a book or similar and he knocks over the boy’s bag accidentally and a syringe rolls out. At first Tony is confused, maybe it is an Epipen, vitamins, steroids? Then he gets a bigger threat in his head, Peter would have told him about needing anything substantial. There was only one solution to the problem: drugs.

(9) Tony cares for him, holds him when he cries, bathes his forehead with cool cloths and apologizes for not thinking about how the years of malnutrition have made Peter’s system unable to process large quantities of food.

Peter feels insecure

In this HC, @wordscorrupt and @irondadgroupie talked about what if Peter, on hearing about Pepper being pregnant, is afraid Tony will not want him anymore and decides the distance himself. Almost turned out to be a fic with how much dialogue there is. Fluff warning ahead!

But think of Peter finding out Tony is having kids. Most write him as being so excited about it but what if Peter is anxious and worried Tony will forget about him? He is not Tony's biological child, the man won't have any interest or time for him. Peter expects Tony to slowly slip away from his life and he does it for him, by cancelling lab times and pretty much avoiding him.

Peter tries to make it less painful for the both of them by cancelling times with tony not knowing that Tony wants him there more than ever now

Tony and Peter don't know how to communicate. It goes on for weeks and Tony is a nervous wreck because he thinks he said or did something wrong. May doesn't know what is happening but she notices Peter has become a lot more solemn and has trouble concentrating at school

Tony finally can’t take it and goes to Peter’s school to pick him up after the third weekend peter makes up an excuse not to come to the compound and basically grabs Peter and forces him into the car. “Buckle up kiddo we’re going on a ride”

“Is this a kidnapping? I’m pretty sure this is a kidnapping mister stark”

"Kidnapping would entail bad intentions."

"Well, you taking me out of class doesn't actually spell good news."

So, they go on a ride, are silent until they reach a forest. "Out," Tony says and Peter looks around.

"Mr Stark, why are we here."

"We're going on a hike, maybe some fresh air will clear your mind."

Peter kind of grumbles but follows tony anyways and grabs one of the backpacks that tony put in the trunk mostly full of drinks and snacks and other necessities  “How long do you plan on hiking for?” Peter asks after seeing they had enough stuff to practically last for days.

“As long as we need to”

I'm thinking late fall. Tony had packed them enough warm clothes and sensible shoes. He expects it to only take a day, let Peter get some steam out and when he is tired, try to approach the issue. They enter the forest and Peter sulks behind him while Tony leads the way. At least the boy wasn't bolting away the very second. They climb up a rocky hill that has a  great view and for supper, they catch some fish and roast them over the open fire.

Tony sees that Peter is relaxed and finally decides to kind of poke at the kid's mind and see what's been going on up there.

"So," Tony poked at the fire. "What is on your mind."

Peter shrugged and bit into his meal. "This fish is dry," he held the food with his hands like caveman.

"Yeah, sorry, I have not been camping in years," Tony said and leaned back. "But seriously, kid, what is going on with you?"

Peter just shook his head. "Nothing much."

“Then why have you been canceling plans with me this past month?”

Peter just shrugs his shoulders not wanting to be a part of this conversation. If he said so tony would probably agree and call everything off now. Heck he’d probably strand Peter here in the forest because he doesn’t want anything to do with him right?

"Don't want to talk about it," Peter mumbles and wraps his arms around his knees. Tony looks at him with worry.

"Kiddo, if something is bothering you, I want to know."

"Don't call me kiddo," Peter whispers.

"Why? You have never complained before."

Peter doesn’t want that nickname anymore because he knows it will be stripped away once the baby comes and he’ll no longer be Tony’s kid.

"I'm not your kid," Peter throws a twig into the fire. Tony raises an eyebrow.

"What do you mean? Of course, you're my kid."

"No, you're Mr Stark to me, but I'm not your kid."

Tony nods his head, trying to keep up with Peter's thinking. "Okay, is it the nickname? Do you want me to stop calling you that?"

"You should," Peter mutters and starts walking away. Tony thinks for a moment whether to follow but then jumps up.

"Peter!" He runs to the boy and grabs his shoulders. "A fair warning, we are not leaving until you tell me what is going on in your head! Look, just open up. Whatever it is, I swear I won't get mad or upset."

“I don’t want to talk” Peter tells him before turning around and heading to the tent. Tony sighs and runs after him and when he crawls into the tent he sees that Peter is already curled up ok his side with his knees drawn to his chest.

“Kiddo. Come in please talk to me. Somethings wrong and I hate seeing you like this. Let me fix it” Tony crawls over to Peter and starts running his fingers through peter curls

irondadgroupie The motion unravels Peter's tears. "You can't fix this!" The boy started crying. "Nobody can!" "Kiddo, you're starting to scare me," Tony rubbed the boy's back and tried sit him up. The boy was dead weight. "Now, tell me what is on your mind. What makes you act this way? This isn't the Peter I know."

Peter sniffled. "I can't," he muttered.

"Why?"

"Because you will hate me." Tony shook his head:

"I could never hate. Whatever it is, whatever you have done or said, believe me, I have done a lot worse. Okay, let's try a game, you don't need to talk, just nod or shake your head."

Tony took in a breath and tried to figure the boy out. "Did you hurt someone?"

Peter shook his head.

"Okay, have you been drinking?"

Again a shake.

"Drugs?"

A shake and Tony smiled. "That is great, kiddo. It can't be that bad if it wasn't any of those three."

wordscorrupt Peter just sniffled and Tony gently wiped away a few tears from his cheeks.

"Is something going on between you and May?"

Peter shook his head and Tony was relieved. But still no answer.

"Kiddo, is it something that involves me?"

Peter let out a hiccup before nodding his head, ever so slightly and Tony took in deep breath. Oh god, what had he done to the kid to make him this way?

irondadgroupie "Kid, tell me what I did. Did I say something and hurt your feelings?"

Peter shook his head and gulped. Tony was getting close.

"What is it then?"

"You'll hate me," Peter whispered brokenly.

"I want to know what I did so I can change."

Peter considered his options. He could try to run away but Tony was blocking the exit. He could always shove the man away but, even when about to break their bond, he could never hurt Tony.

"I figured it would be easier this way, for both of us."

"Go on."

"You're having a kid."

Tony nodded, not quite understanding the connection. "Are you nervous about it? Because, trust me, I am a wreck and thinking about the possibilities."

"I know you will forget me and that is why I decided to leave your live."

Cat was out of the bag, now to only wait for Tony's anger. wordscorrupt

Tony's expression is unreadable and for a second it looks like he might even start laughing, and oh God, Peter could not handle that.

"Oh, buddy. I could never forget you." Tony finally tells him, curling his arms around Peter and holding him close.

"You say that now, but the second your new baby comes, you'll forget about. But that's okay, because I've accepted it. You're going to have a kid that's all your own flesh and blood. You should spend all your time with them. I'm just an intern."

irondadgroupie "Kid, you of all people should know family isn't made with flesh and blood," Tony cradled the boy's face between his hands. "Think of my father, we had a biological bond but was he ever there for me? No. And you," Tony chuckled. "Peter, you are such an important part of my life."

"You're just saying," Peter shook his head. "You have never had a kid, or a normal family. You don't know what will happen. You will look into their eyes and wonder whatever you saw in me. So," Peter shrugged. "it's easier for me if we end this thing now rather than wait till the baby is born because things won't be the same, no matter how you claim otherwise."

wordscorrupt “Kiddo you are the smartest dumbest kid I’ve ever met. I have half a mind to get that brains of yours checked. Do you know what I see when I look at you? I see my kid that I love so much. I only ever loved a handful of people and each time I thought I didn’t have enough room in my heart for more love until you came along. And when my new baby comes along too there’s enough room in my heart for the both of you and more. There is no ending anything you hear me kiddo? You’re stuck with me forever.”

"I will, Peter."

"But what if?"

"Kid, we can talk about this all you want but it won't change a thing. Pepper and I want you in on this. Do you even know how sad she has been you have not been around?"

wordscorrupt Peter shakes his head and Tony tells him, "Kiddo, she loves having you around and she needs you now more than anything. So do I. You're the one thing keeping us sane throughout this entire pregnancy."

irondadgroupie Peter sniffs and whispers. "Really?"

"I assure you, we both want you in on this."

"But what if you change your mind? What if the baby comes and you just-?" The boy shrugs and Tony sighed.

"How do I get you to understand?"

wordscorrupt “Peter I promise you I will never leave you. You will always be with us no matter what. You’ll always have a place in our hearts and in our family. In fact - “ Tony took a deep breath and Peter raised an eyebrow watching as he pulled out his phone. “I only have the scanned document not the actual thing but we were planning on showing you on your birthday.”

Peter leans in and sees that Tony has pulled out this will and right there in the center he can see his name spelled out as heir.

The boy starts making half-sob, half-choking sounds. Tony immediately pulls him into his arms and shushes him.

“Baby,” he kisses the boy’s temple and rocks him, chest to chest. Peter grasps his shoulder, his mouth is open, saliva dribbling down his chin. “It’s okay now, baby boy, dear. We’re both okay.”

Peter lets out a weak cry and vomits into Tony’s lap. The man grabs him so Peter’s head is hanging low and pats his back. He checks that there is not any blood in the vomit, it’s just their dinner and stomach acids.

“Breathe, baby, breathe. Let it out, kiddo, you’re fine.”

A car accident maybe? With a young peter that's like 3 or 4, still in a car seat, Ton'y driving then they get hit by another car?

Since I am not really fan of biological dad Tony, let’s pretend Peter has been de-aged.

Peter is in the backseat, clutching his toy and singing some song he made up. Tony listens and turns the radio lower to catch the news. 

Suddenly, a car slams into their rear.

Tony’s first thought is about Peter. Peter is not crying. Tony takes off his seat belt, the alarm sound is blaring in his ears. He climbs over to the back seat, heart in his throat.

“Peter,” His voice shakes. “Baby, you okay?”

The boy is unconscious and limp in his seat.

“No,” Tony shakes his head. “No, no, no, no, no, baby, no, don’t.”

He opens the warm collar a bit and feels the kid’s throat for a pulse. He tries several places, tries to hear breathing. 

But he doesn’t.

Tony lets out a shrill cry of fear. This can’t happen.

Not sure if you’ve done this yet, but Peter with appendicitis. Maybe he hasn’t been feeling well for days but he hasn’t said anything besides an off handed comment here or there until things start to ramp up in the middle of the night and he’s in agony

Our thoughts on this as follows! 

He has a bad stomach ache the past couple days but maybe he just ate bad food or something. Plus, Tony seems to be in a bad mood (maybe over the company or avengers) and he doesn't want to bother him about his stomach hurting.

Tony has a lot or work stress and Peter tries to be invisible but helpful. The boy keeps eating paracetamol to help with the pain and uses a Hot water bottle. But one night, the pain gets so bad Peter can do nothing but scream

But moving it around makes it even worse, but he cant help but wither in pain. His screams eventually reach Tony who runs into his room.

Tony of course thinks Peter ran Off to patrol and was hiding an injury. But something was wrong because Peter could barely speak and was curled up in a Ball"what hurts, kid? What hurts?" Tony rubbed the boy's limbs, trying to locate a broken bone.

Peter curls up tighter and is barely able to wheeze out that his stomach hurts. "Okay, kiddo. It's okay. Show me where it hurts exactly."

Tony has to help Peter uncurl and lay back down on the bed. Peters able to point with shaky fingers to the part that hurts him the most right now and Tony bites his lip as his kid point to his right side. “Okay, bud I’m just gonna feel a little bit.” “NO!” “Kiddo, I’ll be gentle I swear.”

Tony's fingers barely put any pressure on the place Tony first chooses, the one he fears, when Peter screams and curls up again "Okay, kiddo" Tony breathes deeply to calm his fears, Peter would be fine, Peter would be fine. "You need to be very brave now. We're going down go medbay. Can you walk or do you want me to carry you?

Tony helps Peter up but the second he tries to swing his legs over the bed he doubles over in pain. “Okay kiddo. No walking for you.” Tony picks him up ever so gently trying not to jostle him too much. But it still ends up with Peter crying in his shoulder. “Sshhh” Tony presses a kiss to Peters head before starting the walk down to the medbay having already ordered Friday to notify the doctors down there that they were coming.

"It hurts," Peter whined and sobbed. "It hurts so bad!" "I know, kiddo," Tony sighed as Peter clutched him tighter. "Just be brave for me." "I can't," The boy cried. "Hurts, it hurts, Tony, help, hurts!"

“I know kiddo. We’re getting you help I promise.” Tony pretty much broke the doors entering the medbay. He saw a bed surrounded by doctors and nurses ready for them. “See bud the good doctors and nurses here are gonna take care of you know.”

Tony softly lies Peter on the bed, shushing him all the while. "I know, I know, just relax, you're safe." He turned to the Doctor who immediately pressed on Peter's stomach. The boy cried out as soon as fingers touches his skin. "Can you give him anything for the pain?"

“We’ll try to get an IV in and get him some pain medication. We’ll need to take him for a CT scan as well to see whether or not it is appendicitis.” The doctor told Tony who sighed and nodded his head before turning back to Peter who was still crying from being prodded by the doctor.

"Peter, look there," He pointed at a nurse who was holding Peter's hand and trying to insert a needle. "They're giving you the good stuff. You'll feel better soon." Tony wiped at the boy's tears with his thumb. "When was the last time he ate?" The doctor asked Tony as the nurse told Peter was showing signs of dehydration.

“I don’t know. Maybe last night.” Now that Tony thought about it he hadn’t seen the kid in a few days other than maybe a few minutes a day. He was rushing to get the latest upgrades done on the teams weapons and his mind had drifted away from the mid

“Let’s get him set up with fluids and pain meds. Then straight to CT. We might be looking at appendicitis here mister Stark and if that’s the case then we’ll need to get him into surgery fast.”

"O- okay," Tony nodded and watched how a nurse hanged up a bag of saline to the pole and prepared another one. Peter whimpered in pain and curled on his side. A tear slid down his nose.

"Hey," Tony rubbed his back in comfort. "Hey, hey, you're okay, kiddo. It's okay. Look, they're giving you the good stuff." "It hurts," Peter sobbed. "I know, I know you're in pain but hang with me for a few minutes longer." He brushed Peter's hair from his forehead and frowned. "He feels a bit warm, is that normal?"

“A fever is normal. When it gets too high it’s time to worry because that means it’s burst and an infection has started in.” The doctor informed him as he pressed a thermometer into Peters ear. The kid whimper and Tony shushed him gently reaching down to press a kiss to his head once the doctor was done.

“101, this is normal, his body is fighting," the doctor assured Tony who nodded, his fingers caressing Peter's hair. "I am going to inject some pain killers now, Peter," a nurse inserted a needle into the IV port. "We'll start moving you to the CT-scan. Mr Stark, do you want to accompany him?"

As if that was even a question. Tony nodded his head and once the nurse injected the pain medication Peters cries dwindled down until they were just whimpers and the occasional sniffle. “There you go buddy. You’ve got to good stuff now.” Tony commented holding one of Peters hands as they rolled him down for his scan.

"It's-" Peter gulped and Tony squeezed his hand. "It's bearable now. I'll be okay." "Of course you will be," Tony smiled. They finally reached the right room and Peter was lifted from the stretcher to the bed that led to the enormous machine. "Peter, we can put on some music, would you like that?"

“Okay.” His voice sounded timid and tony was quick o reassure him that he was not going to leave. “This shouldn’t take more than a couple minutes Peter. “ Peter nodded his head at the doctors words. Tony gave his hand one last squeeze before he was being moved into the machine.

Peter was a champion, Tony had to admire him, the boy stayed still the entire time. The machine made a lot of noise. Finally, Peter was released. "It's definitely appendicitis," The doctor skimmed the pictures on the Pad. "Yeah, I could have told you that," Tony grit his teeth. "Seriously, why waste so much time?"

“We had to make sure mr. stark that it wasn’t anything else. No one would have appreciated us going in cutting him open if we didn’t have to. Right?” Tony huffed and nodded his head before urging them to get him to surgery fast.

Tony helped Peter get out of his pajamas and settle into the hospital bed with a thin blanket. "I want to stay with him till you put him under," Tony told the doctor as they started walking down the corridor to reach the operation theater. Everything was set up, surgeon had been called and the only thing missing was the patient.

The doctor put up no arguments not like Tony would have cared. Once they reached the operating room Tony personally lifted Peter up into his arms and settled him down onto the operating bed. “Mister Stark?” Peters scared voice called out for him as the staff started to surround him taping stuff to his chest and strapping his arms down to the side.

"Easy," Tony crouched to eye-level with the kid and stroked his hair. "Ignore everything around you. Just focus on me, okay?" "We're just setting up some monitors, Peter," The surgeon came in and smiled at the boy. "This one measures your pulse, this oxygen levels." "Do I need a ventilator?" Peter asked timidly.

“Well put a tube down your throat once the anesthesia kicks in but take it out after the surgery is over and before you wake up bud. So you’ll never notice it at all.” The surgeon explained as gently as possible. Peters eyes still welled up with tears tonight and he looked up Towards his mentor.

irondadgroupie"It's okay, it's not nearly as scary as it sounds," Tony comforted the boy. "Your throat might be a little sore afterwards but hey, nothing some ice cream won't cure!"

Peter managed a little smile at that and nodded his head. Tony saw one of the surgeons come closer with the mask and he took a deep breath. “Alright bud. Just have to breathe nice and deep for the doctor now and the next time you wake up I’ll be right there.”

Peter panicked once the mask was set over his face. "No," he moaned and tried to turn away. "Peter," Tony grabbed the mask and hovered it over the boy's mouth and nose. "Just keep your eyes on me, okay. Count to ten," He pressed the mask on Peter's face while his other hand caressed the boy's hair." Smells funny," Peter muttered and blinked slowly. His chest moved up and down. The boy gulped and paled. "Feel sick."

“Shhh, kiddo. That’s just the medicine working now. Don’t fight it buddy.” Tony cooed still keeping the mask pressed against Peters face with the other ran through his hair. Peter was still looking up at him but slowly his eyes started to drift shut until he was completely out of it.

"I think he is asleep," Tony whispered to the surgeon although there was no danger of Peter hearing them. "Good, keep the mask on for a little while longer, maybe pull his head back a little so his airways stay open." Tony obeyed the instructions. He set his hand on Peter's chest, finger tapping in rhythm with the boy's pulse and measuring how deep breaths he took.

Tony stayed as they intubated Peter, holding his breath the entire time. “He’s in good hands mister Stark. One of our nurses can escort you out.” The surgeon told him once they had Peter settled and strapped down. Tony leaned down pressing a few kisses to Peters head. “Be good for them kiddo. I’ll see you in a bit.”

Everytime you write that "Be good for the doctor's, kiddo," I can't help but think of the headcanon where Peter was seriously injured and could die on the operating table and Tony was coaxing him to stay alive

Time moved slowly. Tony had coffee, tried to read some magazines, he could have done some work but his Pad and phone were at his room and there was no way he was leaving MedBay until Peter woke up. Who knew what could happen during the time? The kid could have a heart failure or the nurses needed to ask Tony some questions about Peter's physiology, allergies- He had not told the doctor Peter was allergic mint. Even traces of it and Peter's skin got a rash

It was about an hour after the surgery started that one of the nurses approached Tony in he waiting room and he immediately stood up. “He’s doing great. Appendix was nearly rupturing but we got in time. If you want you can follow me and we can go to the recovery area. He’s about to start waking up from the anesthesia.”

Tony could feel a real, relieved smile and he thanked the nurse multiple times. His steps were light as he followed the woman and did not pay attention to where they were going. He was making a list in his mind, all the things Peter might need or want while in bed rest, he had to call May and tell her how the surgery went, inform Pepper he would have to take time off work to look after the kid.

Tony had finished his list by the time they reached the recovery area. The nurse directed him to the only bed at the moment and Tony rushed over to Peters side immediately. True to the nurses word the boy was just starting to stir.

"He might be groggy and confused at first but that is normal," Nurse told Tony. "Just keep him calm. If he is thirsty, give him some ice chips. If he is in pain, push on the morphine pump once, not more without consulting the doctor first." Tony nodded at the instructions, rubbing Peter's arm over the thin blanket. He needed to get the boy a thicker blanket, he must be freezing

He asked the nurse to get a warm blanket for his kid and when she returned with it a few minutes later he gently tucked it around Peter leaning over to gently stroke his hair once he was tucked in. That small touch had Peter fluttering his eyes open and Tony encouraged him “Come on kiddo. Time to open your eyes.”

Peter kicked slightly and moaned with a grimace. Tony stroked his cheek. "Are you in pain?" Peter sniffed and nodded. "Okay, kiddo," Tony found the pump and pressed it once. "It's must be your metabolism, not to mention you are one organ lighter."

Peters eyes widened with fear probably thinking he had one or both his kidneys removed. Tony couldn’t help but laught but quickly calmed the kid down. “Your appendix buddy. Remember? It was just about to burst but we got it out and you’re gonna be good as new in a couple days.”

“No, baby. No, you’re okay. You’re okay.” Tony murmurs as unstraps Peter from his carseat and gently takes the small boy into his arms. He peppers kisses to the kid’s pale face as he stumbles out of the car, laying Peter down on his back in front of him.

“Come on, sweetheart.” Tony begs as he starts CPR, remembering the steps he needed to take, especially since Peter was no longer the fifteen year old he grew to knew but a tiny four year old that was more fragile than anything else.

The other car that hit them had already driven off, but Tony knew that his camera would have captured their plate and Tony was going to rip them into pieces the second he had his hands on him. He hears the sirens in the distance but doesn’t let up. One hand presses down continuously on Peter’s chest, only stopping for him to bend down and give two rescue breaths.

“Come on Petey. Sing me your song, baby. Come back to me.” Tony feels the tears run down his cheeks and the sobs crawling up his throat but he can’t let his emotions get in the way now.

Suddenly, a gasping breath and Tony immediatly stops his compressions so he can lean over, gently grabbing Peter’s face. “Peter, sweetheart, open your eyes. Breathe for me, baby. Daddy’s here.”

Another gasp and Peter’s tiny eyes fly open.

Peter is in the backseat, clutching his toy and singing some song he made up. Tony listens and turns the radio lower to catch the news. 

Suddenly, a car slams into their rear.

Tony’s first thought is about Peter. Peter is not crying. Tony takes off his seat belt, the alarm sound is blaring in his ears. He climbs over to the back seat, heart in his throat.

“Peter,” His voice shakes. “Baby, you okay?”

The boy is unconscious and limp in his seat.

“No,” Tony shakes his head. “No, no, no, no, no, baby, no, don’t.”

He opens the warm collar a bit and feels the kid’s throat for a pulse. He tries several places, tries to hear breathing. 

But he doesn’t.

Tony lets out a shrill cry of fear. This can’t happen.

Consider this: Tony and Pepper have a kid and when the kid is a toddler, she gets chicken pox, a non-threatening childhood illness. But Peter does not know he never had that pox and so he gets sick. Chicken pox can be very threatening to adults so just imagine, Peter in the ICU because the sickness is threatening to spread to his brain.

One of the complications of chickenpox is pneumonia and it completely overtook Peter’s body in a matter of hours. Tony and Peter decided to take Peter out of May’s hands and take care of him and their little girl at the same time. It’s evident though that while their daughter was getting better and to her usual energetic self, Peter was worsening. His fever keeps increasing day by day, the spots are not getting any better. Tony is up all night with him because Peter can’t sleep.

Then the coughing and wheezing starts. Tony’s practically in tears as he drags a doctor up to check Peter out and one listen to the poor boy’s lungs and Tony looks at the doctor’s face and knows that its bad. It’s basically all a blur from there as Peter is rushed down to the medbay, his oxygen sat decreasing by the second. Tony’s barely able to press a kiss to Peter’s head before they push him back and out the doors. The next time Tony sees Peter, it’s in the ICU hooked up to a ventilator and just looking awful. The doctors do not have any good news for him at all. Pneumonia had set in and completely infected both his lungs. That infection combined with the chickenpox he originally got was now traveling through his bloodstream and sooner, rather than later it was going to reach his brain.

Imagine this: Peter is hurt in a battle but he is conscious when they bring him to the medbay. Tony is there with him and Peter is saying he is fine, it's no big deal. But then suddenly he starts gasping for breath and all the monitors go crazy. It goes on for a minute until Peter becomes limb and Tony hears the whine of a flatline.

The noise of the flatline will haunt Tony for years and years to come.

Apparently, Peter had internal bleeding that started out slow but by the time they got him to the medbay they bleeding had accumulated, leading to his heart to stop. Tony’s in complete shock. He’s just utterly numb because one second he was joking with Peter about how he was not going to be wiping his ass as Peter recovered while now they are tons of people around his kid, doing CPR on him, breaking the ribs in the process. And all Tony can do is just stand there in shock.

peter 100% cried when night at the museum 3 ended (he probably cried in theaters). i can just imagine that he used to watch the movies with his aunt and uncle and tony one day wanted to watch the movies with him. peter is fine for the first two but at the end of the third one peter just gets very emotional. peter strikes me as the kind of guy who adores robin williams. and uwu tony comforts him!!

Yes! Peter grew up on Mrs Doubtfire and has seen almost all of Robin Williams’ movies. He might not like them all but man, is that guy charismatic. 

Peter and Tony have watched all sort of movies during their movie nights: horror (Babadook was a big mistake), historic (Schindler’s List maybe even worse), drama (Marley and Me left them both a sobbing mess).

So, Tony was shocked when Peter started crying at the end of a comedy. Yeah, Peter cried easily in movies. But this time it was different. It was not the tears when something moves your soul in a good way (like the ending speech Mrs Doubtfire) but rather, it was of pain. Sadness.

“Hey,” Tony moved closer to the boy. “What is it, kiddo? What happened?”

Peter just hid his face in his hands and sobbed. 

“I can see it.”

“See what?”

“The pain. I never saw it. Nobody saw it.”

Going off your last post, what’s Peter like when he has a tummy ache? Does he complain about it or hide it until he’s sick enough to throw up or somewhere in the middle?

Peter hardly complains but he doesn’t really hide it either. He might tell he is in pain and ask where they keep the medicine. But he is not the type that yearns for attention, unless he is faking it. 

Tony knows that if Peter is complaining, it is all in a joke. Sometimes when the kid has a fever but is feeling alright, Peter might whine a lot to get a rise out of him. But if Peter is silent, then he is really not feeling good. 

When Peter has stomach ache, he curls up. He doesn’t let people touch him and stares in front of him, face pale and eyes wide. Tony offers him some ibuprofein and a hot water bottle as a first aid.

Peter doesn't tell the Avengers that it was his birthday a few days ago so when they find out they are like "We Have To Give This Kid The Best™ Birthday Ever"

Truth is, Tony knew about the boy’s birthday- he was just scatterbrained as hell. He had been planning on throwing Peter a birthday party but the thought had slipped his mind. He only realized it a week later when he updated his file on Peter (heroic acts, internship progress etc). The boy had grown taller and as he changed the number, he saw Peter’s birthdate. 

Shit. 

He was officially the worst mentor ever.

No wonder Peter had looked a bit sad on his last visit. 

He walked to the common room and called in a meeting. 

“How fast can we arrange a rocking sweet sixteen party?”

So, Peter and Tony would be working out. They like to spar because Peter has horrible technique and Tony wants to teach him self defence that is NOT reliant on his spidery powers. Tony knows that Peter has asthma  and has spare inhalators in the First Aid Closet. Peter is still a bit self-conscious about his condition (superhero and asthmatic, they must all be laughing at him).

It’s very rare that Peter overexerts himself but he does. His breath starts wheezing and he gets lightheaded. Tony notices it immediately.

“Do you need to sit down?”

Peter shakes his head and tries to attack the man. But he doesn’t get far because he feels so dizzy and passes out.

He comes to with someone slapping on his face.

“Kiddo, hey, Peter, wake up.”

There is something in his mouth.

“You’re okay,” A hand rubs his sternum. “You’re okay, kiddo, just take a deep breath. This will help. That’s it, good, good, another.”

His windpipe opened and Peter came to.

Tony & Pepper Have Twins

We both want Tony Stark to get a happily ever after, and what would make it more perfect than having two babies at the same time!

Yeah! Just imagine Tony sleeping on his bed, with a baby on his chest and Peter curled up beside him. Or maybe they have twins and Peter comes in every day after school to help take care of them so that both kids would have sufficiently individual care

Yes! Peter and him stay up one night when the baby has cold and Pepper's away on a business trip. Most parents would be horrified of having twins but Tony's like 'oh my god i've always wanted a baby and now I get two of them!!" (well three bc Peter is his kid/baby too at this point).

Yes! Tony is thrilled he got more than one child at the same time. Like he would have even taken triplets. Tony loves every single moment with them and becomes the most dedicated stay at home dad, ever. I can imagine him doing interviews and just showing pics of the kids and the interviewers love hearing about his homelife and babies. He always refers to Peter "as his oldest, my surrogate son" because there is no use to deny it since so many pics of him and Peter together have arisen and yeah, if he didn't address it, people would think he was Peter's sugar daddy

When Tony has one of his own babies to take care of he loves bath time so much. He gives them a bath everynight and just cuddles with them afterwards because their skin is so soft and Tony kisses all their tiny toes and fingers after drying them

Tony's interviews no longer consist of ironman/avengers or stark industries. Rather he gives interviews on baby tips and parenting as well and just overall gushing about being a stay at home dad

Yes! Tony is an affectionate father! He is constantly cuddling his kids and loves spending time with them, Just imagine him pushing twin stroller while he (and Peter) do the groceries. He kisses their toes and fingers and through the babies, gets lot more physically affectionate with Peter too. Like when Pepper is away, he has all three of his kids sleep in the same bed with him and they would watch teletubbies in the morning (with him and Peter making fun of the show)

Tony's advice on parenting is wanted because he can sympathize with blended families and parents with surrogate children. He has two babies and a teenager (with serious issues). I think Peter and Tony have ADHD and so he can tell the tips on how to help those kids.

Tony and Peters favorite time Is definitely watching kid shows and making fun of them. Tony is affectionate and constantly telling All his kids how much he loves them. He has about a million pictures of the babies before they are even a year old. Twins one girl and one boy and they are a perfect blend between him and pepper. Yes they go to the store they take the babies to the park as well too. Pepper takes care of the company and during the day tony and peter are with the babies and it just all works out

He answers raising children because there was no manual on how to do it and he can’t learn it overnight. Plus rocket science isn’t a living object screaming and crying st him because he chose the wrong toy

I'd like to think Peter would take a gap year after high school and be sort of an au pair to the Starks. Like Peter didn't feel he was ready to leave home (May was angry with the idea but Tony just shrugged and told it was his life and decision). Yeah, Tony is affectionate, he is constantly kissing his children and holding them. The walls are filled with their pictures and artwork. The day the babies are too old for onesies, Tony cries.He is always talking to the babies, holding one-sided conversations

Omg tony loves dressing his twins up.  Buys the cutest clothes ever and not like designer ones even tho he splurges on those every now and then or pepper does but ones that are the most comfortable for little babies as well.

When they got to the park tony bundles them up and puts them in the baby swings at the park and pushes them gently and kisses their little nose when they swing back to him. Paparazzi get thousands of pictures of him having fun st the park with his babies and then if Peter is there he’s usually coming down the slides with the babies in his lap because tony says his back is too old for him to do it

Yeah, Tony can practically buy him a spot at MIT (although I have been playing in my head with an idea that Peter doesn't get to MIT and sinks into deep depression because, well, why did he waste time at school is he couldn't get into college). Yep, Tony doesn't hire based on credentials but potentials and he knows hands on approach might actually teach Peter more than theory courses. I like to think Tony kept his old text books from MIT and gave them to Peter and gives him private lessons in maths, physics and anything engineering. Tony doesn't care about Peter staying in NY because Peter's wellbeing is the most important thing and if the kid doesn't want to go, he isn't going to be like his father and ship his reluctant child away.

Yes! Tony is very particular about the clothes being durable but comfortable and cute. He is not one of those parents who buys expensive clothes and then tells his kids they can't play in the snow or rain. Clint and Laura give them their kids old baby clothes and Peter sometimes goes to the flea market and buys rare clothes you don't find at stores anymore (like the first edition IronMan onesie).

Yes, the kids look like lumpy potatoes, Tony is so worried they might catch a cold :D He builds sand castles from them to smash. Sometimes Peter and him go to the local swimming center and enjoy the warm water in the baby pool. Also, Tony would sign them up for baby classes because he wants them to learn socializing and yeah, he kind of likes the attention (being a celebrity plus the only male in those groups)

Whenever they are down in the lab they each have a baby strapped to their chest in one of those little carriers. Tony kind of just has his nose pressed into his baby’s curls the entire time as he works on a few of his designs.

Peter loves messing with Tony when he is sick because the man is a mother hen "Could you get me more juice? Orange slices? I feel like having soup. I want chips." At one point, Tony takes the kids to a bath and says : "You're an adult, get them yourself."

In Finland, we measure fever from armpit. It's not nearly as quick or reliable as from the mouth but hey, it's more comfortable.

Tony also took his phone so Peter can call him if anything happens. Okay, I checked what happens if you break the mercury thermometer and apparently, normally it only causes minor irritation but it is dangerous when inhaled so yeah, the clean up is more important.

OMG, Think of Tony in an interview when he is talking about his kids "So, my oldest-" "Wasn't he at the SI gala with you a week ago?" "Yes, Peter was my plus one." "We have a pic of him," They show a smiling picture of Peter and the audience lets out a loud Aww (like when Baby Simba is shown for the first time). "He looks so much like you!" "I know!" Tony says with shock. "Are you sure he is not yours." "Yes, we have done all the paternity tests, there is no genetic link between us."

The world definitely falls in love with Peter as well. He starts to open up more with more events he goes to and everyone finds him funny charming and nice. Tony’s like “he’s practically mine in all ways but biological though” and then the interviewees show a picture that pepper took with peter and the twins all cuddled up with tony fast asleep when they were sick

At first Peter is nervous but with experience and Tony's encouragement, he begins to open up and just steals the audience away. He and Tony are invited to game shows to compete and do pair interviews on their relationship (because the world honestly doesn't believe Peter isn't Tony's secret love child). I like to think that during one mission, Peter lost a lot of blood and Tony was the donator (they of course, have the same blood group) and in the next interview he says "now he is mine biologically also."

One of Tony's arms is wrapped around the twins and Peter is resting on his other side. Tony smiles at the picture "That was the moment I had finally got them all to sleep. It was a sickness straight from hell, all had a high fever and were so miserable. I think I didn't sleep a wink during those days because when I wasn't making sure the babies didn't choke while sucking the pacifiers, I had to bathe Peter's brow with cold cloths."

Everyone just gushes about Tony being a dad and the photo proves how good of a father that he is. There is still some people that are hung up on his pre-iron man days and send nasty comments that Peter takes and basically rips apart

Tony has many haters and the most vicious attack Peter. They make awful comments on the photos with Tony and some rip apart everything in Tony's parenting because even if you love your kids, you might make some mistakes and yeah, everyone follows different directions. The haters comment when Tony carries his kids in his arms, they also send hate when Tony carries them in a babysitter. Someone took a photo of Peter and Tony shopping with the babies and they ripped apart their groceries "How can anyone feed their children formula?"

Tony's used to the comments and haters and he's learned to deal with it. However, it's dfifferent and harder for Peter who takes those comments to heart, especially the ones where they are calling Tony a bad dad for allowing his kid to play in the grass barefoot or something or that he's not giving his kids healthy foods

Yes, Tony has learned to ignore the comments and yeah, someone criticising his parenting, yeah, not a big deal. But then a pic emerges of Tony with his arm around Peter and setting a kiss on his head and the internet exploses. Most say the pic is adorable but some claim Tony was teaching his child wrong ways to convey love. "You don't kiss your teenage boys!"

Tony just rolls his eyes at the comments and has to bite his tongue from speaking back something about teenage sons deserved affection still. He does it more often just to get back at the haters. He doesn’t want to get into anything that’s not important. End of the day all his kids know how much he loves them and it’s all that matters.

Yes! Tony would totally feed the haters. Some people got a pic of him kissing his babies on the mouth and by God, that got a backlash about how he would be messing up his kids and yes, some even called the child protective services (who informed Tony and they both had a good laugh about it). Then Tony does an interview and brings Peter along because their relationship is so fascinating. The audience just melts how Tony is so affectionate with his kid, like at one point he fixes the boy's collar

And it’s so cute with tony asking for a kiss from his twins and they just pout their lips and when Tony gets closer they grab his cheeks and give him kisses and Tony just melts inside and scoops both of his babies up into his arms and smothers their face with kisses. "He doesn't feel warm, maybe he just didn't sleep well last night."

Pepper filled a video of Tony coming back home after a weekend camping with Peter and the twins are waddling towards Tony with huge smiles on their faces and clapping their hands. irondadgroupie I was walking to the gym today and imagined that the daughter is Tony's princess and she loves pink and anything traditionally feminine, has cute dresses and watches Barbie and Princess movies. Tony likes them too and will argue with anyone who claims those are bad role models. The boy loves Bob the Builder and has his toy tool box and is constantly "fixing" everything from DUM-E to the doorknobs.

The doctor on call guides Peter to a hospital bed and instructs him to take of his shirt and just relax and breathe deeply for a few minutes. While he fetches the needed machinery, Peter looks at his mentor.

“I guess I kind of knew something was not right.”

Tony sits on a chair beside him: “Human body is still very unknown. This could very well be something easily cured.”

“I-” Peter gulps. “I was about to tell you or May but- I just didn’t know how.”

“You could have just said ‘I want to see a doctor’.”

“You would have asked questions.”

“Of course, because your health is important. And I need to know what is the issue: is it your head, stomach or heart?”

“Maybe it’s all of them,” Peter shrugs and tries to breathe deeply. There is a pressure on his chest. His eyes are shining and morose. “What if this is something serious? I- I googled the symptoms-”

“Jesus Christ, Peter!” Tony rubbed his temples. “We talked about this! Do you remember when you had back pain and were certain it was cancer? And all it was was just some minor muscle sprain.”

Peter cringed at the memory: not his finest moment. He had been a nervous wreck and even written a drabble of his will. Not that he owned much but the sentiment still stood.

“But honestly, what if I am sick? What if my heart is not okay and I need a surgery or something. We can’t afford it-”

“You honestly think I would leave you to rot? Kid, I am sure you are fine but if it is something and you need treatments or medication, you have more than deserved the money with the work you do for me, alright?”

Okay, I looked it up and yeah, it sounds interesting, most often found in elderly people and aging hearts but yeah, heart problems are not set to a certain age. Considering the medication is beta-blockers which (if I remember correctly) is also a cure for anxiety and stage fright, I say it fits Peter

So, let’s pretend Tony is set to get Peter working for his company, maybe even put the boy in his will. That mean Peter should get some hands-on-experience on what it means to own a company (Pepper leads, Tony owns). That way, Peter could tell if he doesn’t like the idea of sitting in meetings and then Tony can scratch the idea.

It was a simple board meeting after their quarterly report. SI had been going strong and new innovations were underway. Tony asked Peter to join him because he was the big boss, he could bring an elephant and nobody could say anything and also, having the kid would be interesting. Watching Peter’s reactions would be far more interesting than focusing on numbers and concepts.

One of the innovations they discussed Peter had worked on and so many questions were directed at him. At first, they boy looked okay, blushing and nervous but nothing concerning. Until Peter’s eyes began to get glassy and his skin got pale.

“You okay, kid?” Tony whispered.

“Just got dizzy,” Peter gulped. “A bit nauseous.”

“Did you eat breakfast?”

“Yeah.”

“Do you need some fresh air?”

Peter shook his head.

The next time it happened, it was a SI party hosted in City Hall and on the guest list were numerous benefactors, Ivy League alumni and people who had revolutionised the field of technology. Tony held the opening speech and then it was free mingle.

“Come one, kid, I have people who I want you to meet.”

Tony introduced him to business owners, renowned scientists and practically all people Peter had even the slightest bit of admiration for. It was surprise after another. Until his heart started beating faster and the room span in his eye.

Peter dropped his glass and fell on his knees.

“Hey,” Tony crouched beside him. “What’s wrong?”

“Don’t feel good,” Peter muttered. “Kinda dizzy.”

“You feel you might faint?” Tony’s eyes widened.

“Yeah.”

Tony immediately led him to the balcony and sat him down on a bench.

“You’re white as a sheet, kiddo,” The man pushed sweaty bangs away from Peter’s face. “I’ll go fetch you some water, will you be okay alone?”
