Sooo uhmmmm. How do you think the Strawhat crew would keep memories of eachother (for a lack of better word)?

i.e. I hc Usopp being an arts and crafts guy, so he doodles the crew a lot on his sketchbook and sometimes makes small crafts like with clay, etc.

Now, for me, Franky is also a guy that crafts, albeit more advanced — like, he makes literal figures of the crew. Like anime and chibi figures.. These are just examples that are my hcs :)) I wanna know what yours is!!

Do you think Lu would keep bettles and bugs that remind him of the crew??

As for the question, oh this is cute! I like to think Robin journals and presses flowers whenever they reach a new island and also doodles, but like the doodles look horrific (but I love them all the same). I think Nami actually keeps the log of the story for the crew. Brook maybe comes up with some melodies or improvs some songs about the random goings on. Luffy i think just thinks of them all all the time, and he keeps em all close to his heart, but I doubt he does much journaling. We have seen him draw the crew though in illustrations by Oda though so I just think the artistically inclined individuals on the crew get together on occasion for fun.

Im not sure if this is going to come off slightly mean but I do want to tell you that you make me feel a lot better about being obsessed with my favorite characters. I always felt kind of weird about it for some reason but seeing that you also feel that way about your fave has made me realize that most people are just like that. We all have to be obsessed with someone from one piece and i think thats beautiful

I don't find things like this mean unless it's a genuine attempt to put me down and imply that I shouldn't be doing what I'm doing - not that I'd listen anyways, I am far too stubborn. Naw I think it's a wonderful thing to find passion and joy from something especially these days. Life is hard, and if indulging in being enthusiastic about a cartoon character makes the days a little easier, then I think that's awesome. It's connected me with so many new friends and it's genuinely, genuinely kept me going when I didn't feel like I could. Sometimes it takes what it takes. Be a little weird sometimes. It's really fucking fun. If the people around you can't handle that or make you feel bad for that, then they're maybe not your people and that's okay. That's also something I had to learn these last few years. I'm glad my Robin love can resonate with folks and encourage them to be more open themselves, and I hope it continues!

Thoughts on Lilith? Do you think she is a threat to Frobin? And just overall thoughts on her character?

I love Lilith! Her personality is really fun and there's a lot to unpack by the notion that VP wanted to also be a hot chick and some robots. Her design is super cute and she's funny.

Threat to Frobin is laughable considering Frobin isn't actually real, but if it was you can't convince me they wouldn't invite her to join in some fun from time to time. That's just my two cents

I feel like I definitely think about Olive more than I should. I'm not really into ocs that often but at this point she is just real to me. Like yes, Robin and Franky have a baby girl her name is Olive what do you mean she isn't canon. She's a cutie, I love the idea of her having permanently messy unruly blue hair, and I believe Robin actually really likes that she looks so much like franky. I love the idea of Robin having someone that belongs to her, makes my heart ache in the best way. The fic is genuinely so delightful and takes up a lot of space in my head lol thank you for writing it!

I know fankids aren't everyone's cup of tea and that's totally understandable and respectable. I just personally love the idea of Robin getting to give the love she clearly has for others to someone so wholly. Someone she could make sure never felt the loneliness and isolation she experienced growing up. I think there's plenty of avenues to explore this, but something about having a kid on the ship like Roger and Whitebeard did makes me run in circles. It can be done - it has been done. She's so strong and kind, I just think that she would genuinely love to love another person the way she wanted to be loved. The way, as an adult, she knows she was loved, the world was and is just too complicated and cruel it didn't work out. I love the complexities of motherhood in stories having a complicated relationship with my own mother and far off dreams of being one myself, so it's almost for sure projection, but I find it a very fun way to do that in a way that I get to share some character analysis of my favoritest character at the same time. Anyways, I'm happy to know someone else thinks about her all the time because I truly feel insane sometimes lol. I'm glad I've been able to connect with a lot of folks! Thank you for reading :> She is so real and canon to me too. I also think Robin loves that she has Franky's hair, because who on earth wouldn't love genetic bright blue hair without having to dye it??? Also I think Franky knows how to fix the messiness, because he's experienced with it, so sometimes she lets him do her hair while she does his... Ugh I just love them. The family. The abandoned building something new and whole together. Weird, but all love!!!

It looks like I was too late for the pfp change so I am sorry, but I will ramble about some Robin panels that aren't super pfp worthy. I may or may not have like 7000+ screenshots from the manga saved and most of them are an attempt to screen Every Robin Panel. I have made it to the end of Wano lol.

Anyways. I wanted to post some that aren't really talked about as much alongside some obvious ones.

A lot are from Skypiea, and this as another angle of the bonfire I talked about in my previous post (see here). Again, I love that she's apart from the group, but she's still enjoying herself. It's so important to see this before the Water 7 saga.

I don't really see anyone ever bringing this panel up, but I love it so much. stark shadows on the edges contrasting the pure light where she's sitting is just so poignant to me. She's seeing the city of gold for the first time, but we can actively see the light in her life being reignited throughout Skypiea, and this panel just illustrates that for me so concisely.

Same with this one here. I love that again, she's sitting away from the group, but she's listening. She's allllllways listening. It's very important to note what she's hearing here though. For the first time in her life, she's joined a group that's helped others for the sake of just doing what they wanted to and because it felt like the right thing for them to do. It wasn't to be rewarded, it wasn't to gain any glory, it was to show an old man down on the island below that he wasn't searching for nothing and he could stop trying to kill himself to do it. That's HUGE for her to witness. I don't think she'd ever experience another group thinking "oh well, we're still poor, but that was cool!"

Okay last Skypiea panel, even though I could probably find more. I am in love with the deliberate separation of her silhouette here. She is still part of the crew, but it's still so clear that she is visibly detached at this point. It's a really good way to depict this subtly.

You can barely see her there but I love the way he encourages her to be enthusiastic about traveling and she indulges. They just understand each other in such a fundamental way lol This part is so cute to me.

We're onto Water 7, and I'll try and be brief. The entirety of the Water 7 saga is masterful, I'm not wavering on that. This panel hurts the more context we get. He is such a scary threat, but when we find out he genuinely thought he was committing an act of misguided mercy, the fact that he goes in for a HUG? That's so fucking tragic to me. Kuzan fascinates me, because the horror of Ohara does seem to genuinely shake him. Robin has had such a rough life because he let her live, so it's so sad to me that one of her only experiences of any sort of physical affection in recent memory is an attempt at a frozen coup de gras.

The tragedy of Water 7 continues. I love this panel so much. The broken smile thinking about the Straw Hats, thinking she did the best thing for them in letting them live, not realizing just how much they loved her and would have been tortured knowing she died for them. It's such a simple panel of her covering her face, but ugh. So good.

Heartbreaking. But also the fire of Ohara burning behind them while they have this one quiet moment. God. I'm a little speechless about this one so I'll just let it sit.

I'm skipping "I Want to Live" because we've all seen it and there's no question it's one of the best manga panels of all time. Sorry I don't make the rules.

This is maybe the most raw moment of "I want to stay alive, I have to stay alive," I have ever witnessed in something and it very well maybe be the hardest moment in One Piece for me. That is her TEETH on STONE. She is hanging on to life and the love of her friends BY HER TEETH. There is quite literally nothing more metal to me than this I'm sorry power scalers you can suck it.

Wrapping up Enies Lobby specifically, I adore this moment between Luffy and Robin so much. The way he tries to thank HER after he literally gave his everything to save her - and he's not even thinking about that??? And she's like ? No you don't get to thank ME I have to thank you all. Ugh. I love. Their friendship. So much.

I'm curious if we're going to see the outcome of this conversation between them - we don't really NEED to, we know where they both are, but with an inevitable clash of the SHs and the Blackbeard pirates, it could be interesting. I love the division between them with the wall, and the genuine question of "did I do the right thing?" I am compelled.

We've reached the timeskip.... I love her so much waahhh. There's a lot that I love in FMI - Dressrosa, but not nearly as much as I love her in Zou.

A silly entry - but this is on purpose! I love. Love. Love. Where she's at by Zou. She is so comfortable with her friends. She's able to be goofy. I also love that this implies she has some level of cuteness aggression and I think that's so funny.

To go from. Feeling like a burden and thinking death is easier than trusting anyone to fight for you to accepting that you are loved and full of love is such a fucking beautiful message. I love the way they're so pumped up too. They LOVE her!!!! ME tOO!!

I can't not mention this lmao. I'm so glad she gets to be included in ugly face gags. She's just as silly (if not more) as the rest of the crew!!! She's so happy at first too lmao

This is like what fans talking about her sounds like. "She didn't do enough in x arc" meanwhile she's like carrying the story on her back via the poneglyphs LMAO She's so funny.

Extending that love from Zou to be there for her friends and taking the moniker those who hunted her through her whole life... Well I just think this page speaks for itself.

Shut the fuck up this is the cutest, sweetest, perfectest panel I've ever seen in my life.

Um the entirety of chapter 1133 is catharsis in a can. I don't have words in my goopy goblin artist brain to express how much this chapter means to me.

Sorry I took so long, I just have SO much I want to talk about. Since I have another ask about Robin panels, this one will focus on my favorite panels in general and I'll focus on Robin ones on that ask! These also aren't all just panels, some of them are pages/spreads. Some are emotional, some are aesthetic, and some are just funny. These are ones that impacted me specifically, and not all of them are like. Super iconic moments or ones I see a lot maybe? Some of them are. I'm rambling, this is a really long post. Sorry. I just love One Piece...

This is one of the first panels that hooked me in when I saw spoilers for Gear 5. It stuck with me SO much when I finally started the journey. There's so much joy and light in it, and intrigue with why Robin is sitting to the side. This panel will live in my heart forever.

I don't need to explain the emotional impact of the Summit War Saga, but I cannot applaud Oda enough for having the end of it being our hero weeping that he has his crew that he loves and that they're a light to the darkness he just went through.

I have a lot of attachment to characters who are young and have to grow up early, and Momo is like an insanely good example of this. But ALSO the way Luffy encourages his autonomy and his choice and hypes him up to fight for his own freedom alongside him. I just love these brothers.

It's a similar story with Bonney for me. The way he encourages her to fight for herself and what she's lost for her freedom - something SO important for her and Kuma - makes me cry. The faith she has in the future because of Luffy is just. So. Good. The things this manga has to say about joy in laughter, freedom, and creativity means SO MUCH TO ME. There's also something so special about the way she says she's been looking for him, and he responds that he's been with her the whole time. It's so.

I just think this is one of the best pages in the manga. Genuinely.

More Kuma, but I find this panel from the chapter that's technically "unfinished" to be so fucking gutwrenching. I know a lot of it was due to time constraints and Oda's a busy guy, but the way he couldn't finish THIS particular chapter honestly? Added to the emotional impact for me? I could totally be wrong, but to me it felt like he got too emotional working on it and combining that with the time constraints he had to turn it in as it was, and I personally love seeing an artist's hand in their work.

The whole Roger flashback shook me to my fucking core. This part and when he finds the poneglyph on Skypiea specifically.... Ugh. Ough. I can't wait to see this story come to an end, but I don't want it to end.

I can't not talk about Brook, but his encounter with Big Mom is so incredible for him as a character. We once again see how unshakable his loyalty is, and calling an emperor "young lady?" Oh my God the balls on this skeleton. Also, I adore Big Mom, she's my favorite villain. I'll have to gush about her sometime too.

I have a very special connection with Toko and Hiyori specifically. I also lost my dad (though I have a complicated relationship with him, he ultimately did what he could for me and I will always love and miss him deeply in a way that it's hard to express) a few years ago. The horror of losing a loved one and only being able to laugh is. So powerful, Oda was insane for SMILE. However, there's also something I'm attached to 'cause I remember very distinctly the day he passed, I went to lunch with some friends to have company, and I remember my friend telling me later that she knew I would be okay because I was laughing. It didn't really stick with her the same way it did with me, but for some reason that thought stuck in the back of my mind. IDK I'm rambling, but I find the message of laughter in One Piece being tied to freedom very very important to me.

Speaking of Hiyori, I gotta say, 1044 is what got me into One Piece, but I didn't see ANYONE talking about Hiyori's role in that chapter when I saw the spoilers, so I didn't even think about it until I read it myself. When I tell you her entire scene with Orochi gave me goosebumps I am being so fucking serious. She did not, and I repeat, she did NOT "interrupt" Gear 5. She fucking HERALDED IT.

(Here's two that I just find so incredibly funny with or without context) I feel like I'm missing some and I'll come back and edit them if I think of them, but these are the non Robin centric ones that have really stuck with me. I know there's some in Arlong Park and all that that I'm missing, but yeah. It feels wrong to cut it off here but if you made it this far, thank you for reading!!
