We adopted this gorgeous girl back in May of last year. Her name is Minnie and this was her first experience of snow with us since we got her.
As you can tell she had a whale of a time!

This is a great spotted woodpecker! These fellas are fairly small, plump and round.
These woodpeckers are very common in the uk, especially in the north. This would be the perfect time to see them too since they are spending a lot of their time caring for their young; flying back and forth from tree to tree collecting food, twigs, etc. to keep their children big and strong!!
Like most other woodpeckers their feet are zygodactyl meaning they have two toes pointed forward and two back allowing them to walk up and down a vertical trunk with ease. They use their tail feathers as a sort of anchor, as they hold on to the tree their tail will rest and hold their body upright fighting against the downward gravity.

I love our European robins with all my heart!
These orange little golf balls are everywhere and have become a symbol of Christmas and decorations alike here in the UK. The joy I get after seeing one of these little garden birds is incomparable to anything else!
I’m so happy to be able to share my photos of these perfect spheres that just happen to have wings!

These are my favourite sheep!! There called Herdwick’s and mostly known for their little smiles! These sheep can be found in the Coniston area of the Lake District.
They were on the brink of extinction before Beatrix Potted, the writer of Peter Rabbit, saved them from near extinction by breeding them over multiple farms and kept them under protection even in her will!
I hope you can learn to love these little guys as much as I do. I will continue to post more Lake District content and I hope you enjoy them!
