hate that I love you II Ana Maria Crnogorčević x Reader
masterlist I word count: 1759
a/n: we hope you enjoy reading the oneshot, we'd love to hear your thoughts on it. <3
warnings: slight smut in the middle, a bit of angst, but with a happy ending.🖤
“Ana!”, Keira shouted the name of your former Barca teammate, after the English midfielder has spotted the Swiss woman in the crowd.
The Champions league final was over, your team has won the title a second time in a row. But the celebratory mood you were in just a few seconds ago was gone at the sight of your ex-girlfriend. It made your blood turn cold.
“Ale, what the hell is Ana doing here? Who even invited her?”, you asked your captain furiously.
In an instant, she noticed your change of mood, that was why the midfielder replied cautiously:” I think some of the girls did or she just came to visit.”
“Oh, wow.”, you huffed, trying to get as far away from your former lover as possible. Seems like you weren’t that lucky this evening in Bilbao, she already had set her eyes on you, calling your name.
“Hi, y/n.”
“Ana. Sorry, but I got to go.”, you lied, while walking into the direction to the changing rooms.
“Where’s she going?”, Ana questioned as she was slowly following you..
“Isn’t that obvious? You broke up with her.”, Alexia reminded the taller woman.
“She still didn’t have to run away.”, the Swiss player mumbled, the hurt was written all over her face.
Meanwhile Keira who has been quiet after hugging her enthusiastically, joined their conversation with a low voice:” No but you ran away first, remember?”
“I didn’t. It was better that way.”, Ana corrected the English woman, before she headed into the changing room where you were standing all by yourself. The party was heading somewhere else already.
You heard her last words loud and clear: ”No, it wasn’t, you’ve chosen the cowardly way after almost four years of being together. You acted like that time meant nothing to you.”
Finally, you got the chance to tell her how devasted you were about her sudden move to Madrid.
“That’s not true. It wouldn’t have worked out long distance and you know that.”, the Swiss player disagreed.
“No, I don’t know that actually, because we never tried it!”, you protested.
“Yeah, sure. You were pouting because I left the team.”, Ana rolled her eyes annoyed at you.
Her behaviour only fed the anger you felt inside.
“Yes, because you told me those transfer news a day before you left for the capitol.”
“Because I knew you’d be pouting.”, she shot back, almost stumbling over the empty champagne bottles which were left on the ground.
This moment felt almost like a symbol of your failed relationship as it started golden, perfect even, with your first ever champions league win during the covid period, and the following wins, which abruptly ended in shattered hopes and dreams.
You tore your gaze away from the champagne bottles and looked straight at Ana.
“Oh.“, you said, your jaw set. “Sorry that you meant something to me. What a fool I was. Hope you’re happy now.“
Anas face changed from a slight moment to confusion to immediate annoyance: “Oh my god, you can be so damn dramatic!“
“Why are you even here? You ruined a perfect final with your presence.“, you spat back.
Anas eyes sparkled with furiousness: “Oh I’m sorry. Sorry that my friends are still here and that this team still means something to me!“
You were taking aback by how loud her voice had gotten but you kept glaring at her: “Fine. Go and celebrate with them. But leave me alone!“
All of a sudden, you felt Anas weight on you as she pinned you against the wall of the changing room. You had to suppress a surprised shriek.
Ana tilted her head, her lips curved in the smallest hint of a smirk: “Or what?“
“Get your hands off of me!“, you said through gritted teeth.
“Make me.“, your ex-girlfriend challenged you.
In a heartbeat you leaned forward, pressing your lips onto Anas. Just when she started to return the kiss, you bit down hard on her lower lip.
She pulled back: “Hey!“
“Can I go now?“, you asked impatiently.
“No.“
You locked eyes with her again. Your voice was pure ice when you replied. “I hate you so much…“
Anas hand found its way into your ponytail, pulling on it roughly.
You hissed.
“Say that again.“, Ana ordered.
“What? I hate that I still love you…“
Anas grip on your hair loosened. “I know you do.“
“What about you?“, you asked. You hated that your voice still sounded so hopeful when you only wanted to despise the woman in front of you.
Your ex ignored your question deliberately. “You need to shut up now.“
“Go on.“
“I’ll.“
And suddenly, her lips were on yours again. Her body pressed so hard against your own that you could feel her heat on your skin. You kissed back with hunger while Ana shoved her thigh between your legs. Biting back a moan, you began to move against her.
Anas hands, in the meantime, had slipped under your jersey, exploring your skin with the lightest touch.
You knew you should not but you could not stop yourself. It was as if your body had taken control, taking what it had craved for so long.
Ana was in the motion of finally pulling your jersey over your head and your body tingled with excitement, when the door to the changing room was opened.
“Girls, we’re going to party!“, Keiras voice announced, before stopping herself. “Oh, seems like you already started.“
“Come back later.”, the Swiss woman told the midfielder in a casual tone as if the redhead couldn’t see the messy state, you two were in.
“See you girls.”, she muttered and closed the door again much to your own relief.
“Oh my god, that was embarrassing.”, you mumbled against the older player’s chest.
“Whatever. As if she cares.”, Ana shrugged.
“Right, Laura will distract her from what she just saw.”, you smirked while you thought about the happy couple.
“I’m sure.”, the blonde nodded.
“Thank god.”, you sighed, forever gratefully for the Austrian footballer.
“She came in at the worst time though. I was just getting into it.”, the older woman whispered into your ear, although you couldn’t see her face you could hear from her voice that she was smiling.
“Need a reminder where we stopped?”, you looked up to her, eyes sparkling.
“No. Come here.”, Ana shook her head, before continuing what she started, her touches even hungrier than before.
In between you put your hand on her body middle to stop her, asking the one question which was burning hot on your tongue:” Did you miss me in Madrid?”
“Of course. Every day.”, the Swiss player answered truthfully.
“When why didn’t you say everything? You were multiple times in Barcelona.”, you pressed on.
“You know why.”, she responded quietly, while tucking in a loose string of the hair behind your ear.
“Because it would have made it worse.”, you replied.
“But it was worth to wait.”, Ana said winking, alluding to the fun you had only minutes earlier.
“You’re an idiot, you know that, right?”, you laughed at her playful mood.
“Maybe I’m.”, she admitted seriously.
“To be fair so am I.”, you confessed, remembering how the blonde was till able to make your legs go weak.
“Looks like we both are.”, the Swiss woman smiled sadly. There was a melancholy air surrounding your ex-lover and you which couldn’t be waved off.
“Yes, seems like it.”, you agreed.
“So.. want to continue making out or..?”, Ana quickly distracted you from the thoughts which tinted everything sepia coloured like it was a moment from the past, but actually everything what happened was in the present.
“No, let’s stop talking and continue kissing.”, you decided, while turning your words into actions. She gladly obliged to your decision.
In the morning you awoke to Alexia’s cheerful voice, of course your captain was already up:” Y/n, wake up, we got to go!”
Your heart sank when you turned your head to Ana whose eyes were still closed, her arms wrapped around you:” Ana? I’ve to leave.”
“Okay, Barca needs you, I understand that.”, she responded, although the older woman hasn’t let you go yet.
The light of the sun fell through the curtain and gave everything it touched a warm glow including her.
“You can sleep a little longer.”, you offered her heavy-hearted.
“No.“, Ana said. Her voice was still a little hoarse from the sleep but she sounded determined.
“No?“, you echoed.
Ana pulled you closer, whispering into your ear: “I’ll think that I only dreamed this.“
“But it was real.“, you replied, studying her face thoroughly.
With a sigh, she finally let go of you. “Visit me in Madrid.“
A slight smile tugged on your lips as you crawled out of bed: “I’ll. See you there.“
Ana watched you while you got dressed: “Hopefully soon.“
“Promise.“, you said before you grabbed your bag and were out the door.
You could feel her gaze linger on your back as you left.
Alexia was already waiting for you. You were unable to interpret the look on her face but she was eyeing you cautiously as though she was searching for a hint.
When you approached her, she only let out a breath: “You girls.“
You rolled your eyes: “Don’t say anything, Alexia.“
Your captain remained unimpressed by that. Instead, she shrugged with a smirk: “I have to.“
“Fine but quick.“, you gave in. All you wanted to do was go home to Barcelona and sort your thoughts.
Alexias smile grew wider: “You’re the same kind of idiots.“
“Rude.“, you said, more amused than offended.
“It’s true.“
“Maybe a bit… She asked me to visit her in Madrid.“, you admitted quietly.
Your teammate nodded slowly, seemingly unsurprised: “She means it. You two miss each other.“
“I hate that I love her…“
“You can hate it all you want but you need her.“, Alexia replied calmly.
“You’re right.“
You had to finally admit it, your captain knew you better than anyone else on the team. Maybe she was right. Maybe all the hatred and pain you had felt had been unnecessary. Maybe there was an easy solution to this ache you felt in your chest.
That was how you found yourself in Madrid on your next free day. Your heart thumped against your chest as you waited on Anas door step.
Finally, the door opened and her face appeared in the gap.
“Hi.“, you said softly.
A smile of pleasant surprise appeared on Anas lips. “Hi. Come in.“

Any chance we could get some ashley sanchez fluff please?
I don't know her very well, but I can try. However, don't expect it to be very good, as I haven't known her longer than the other players.

Hiii, I was wondering if you would write for Alessia Russo? If you would, could you possibly do a smutty fic with her. Maybe like soft dom Alessia? Her possibly being jealous? Completely alright if you don’t want to do it.
This totally got my creative juices flowing, I've never written anything like this for Lessi before so I might blush in the process but I'm gonna do it!

Next up, we have Gio Queiroz and it's gonna be a smut one! I hope everything goes well with this one, especially since she's dating a reader with a significant age difference. We'll be exploring their fears of coming out as a couple. I'm super excited for this one because it's something totally different from what I've done before.

𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 | LW (parte.2)

SILVER SPRING ⸻ leah williamson x swimmer! reader.
Warning: making amends, feeling a bit angsty, Leah is the reader's true love, mentions original character. English isn't my first language!
Childhood memories flooded Y/N's mind as she sank deeper into the pool's depths. Her first touch of the water, the sensation of freedom and weightlessness, like a fish swimming in its own sea. The conquest of the first gold medal, the taste of victory and the joy of representing her country, the national anthem echoing in her ears. The unconditional love of her first pet, a Golden Retriever named Toby, who accompanied her on all her adventures, licking her face with affection after each game. The butterflies in her stomach during the first kiss at a school event, the promise of a future full of romance, whispering secrets under the moonlight. The declaration of love for Leah, the sincerity and vulnerability that united their hearts, sealing a pact of eternal love. The games with Marvin, her new furry companion, the walks in the open air, exploring new places together, the unshakeable friendship between dog and owner. The first words "I love you" whispered to Leah, the confirmation of a unique and true love, a melody that echoed in her soul.
The images mixed, forming a kaleidoscope of happy and unforgettable moments. With each desperate stroke, Y/N approached the surface, seeking light and life. The pain in her calf was excruciating, like knives piercing her muscles, but her willpower drove her to fight against death, the memory of her dreams and everything she loved most pushing her upwards.
Suddenly, a hand gripped her arm firmly, like a ray of hope cutting through the darkness. Y/N felt a strong pull and then her feet touched the bottom of the pool. She coughed up water and air, opening her eyes with difficulty, her vision blurred by the chlorinated water. A blurred figure was leaning over her, offering her support, a guardian angel appearing out of nowhere.
"Calm down, Y/N, you're safe," said the soft, familiar voice, like a balm to her soul.
Y/N blinked a few times, trying to focus her vision. The figure approached, revealing the face of one of her teammates, Emily, the swimmer who always encouraged her in training, the friend who listened to her in difficult times.
"Emily?" Y/N asked, still dazed, her mind processing what had happened. "What happened?"
"You had a bad cramp and started to sink," Emily explained, with concern in her eyes. "I was in the other lane and saw you right away. Thank goodness I was here."
"You had a strong cramp and started to sink," Emily explained, with concern in her eyes. "I was in the other lane and saw you right away. Thank God I was there." Y/N looked at Emily with gratitude, tears welling up in her eyes. "You saved me," she murmured, her voice choked with emotion. "I don't know what would have happened without you."
Emily smiled gently, a smile that conveyed compassion and friendship. "Of course, Y/N. We're teammates, we're family."
Helped by Emily, Y/N got out of the pool, her muscles trembling with cold and emotion. The memories of her near death were still fresh in her mind, the image of sinking into the depths haunted her, but the gratitude for being saved flooded her.
"Thank you, Emily," Y/N said with a choked voice, hugging her tightly. "I don't know what I would do without you."
Emily hugged her back, a warm hug that conveyed security and support. "No need to thank me, friend. I would do anything for you."
Y/N felt safe and protected in Emily's arms, as if she were in a safe harbor after a storm. The fear and anguish that had gripped her moments before began to dissipate, replaced by a feeling of peace and gratitude.
"Are you okay?" Emily asked again, concerned about Y/N's condition.
Y/N nodded, still shaking a little. "Yes, I'm better now. I just need to rest a bit."
Emily helped her up and took her to the locker room, walking side by side down the wet hallway. In the locker room, Y/N changed clothes and sat on a bench, still trying to process everything that had happened.
"Are you going to be okay?"
Y/N looked at Emily, her eyes still full of tears, but with a more serene expression. "I don't know, Emily," she confessed, her voice full of uncertainty. "I almost lost my life today. It made me think a lot about what really matters."
Emily sat down next to her, putting an arm around her shoulders. "I understand, Y/N," she said with compassion. "It was a scary time. It's natural that you're questioning everything now." She nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I've always put swimming first," she continued, her voice choked with emotion. "I trained relentlessly, sacrificing everything for my dream. But today, when I saw myself sinking in the pool, I realized that none of it matters if I'm not here to enjoy life with the people I love."
Emily looked at her intently, her eyes full of understanding. "You're right, Y/N," she said. "Life is much more than just achievements. It's about the moments we spend with the people we love, the feelings we share, and the experiences we have."
Y/N wiped her tears with the back of her hand, taking a deep breath. "I need to talk to Leah," she said, her voice determined. "I need to tell her how I feel, how much she means to me."
Emily smiled at her, an encouraging smile. "It's the right thing to do, Y/N," she said. "Communicate your feelings, don't leave anything unspoken."
Y/N stood up and hugged Emily tightly. "Thank you for everything, Emily," she said with gratitude. "You saved me today, and not just from the pool."
Emily hugged her back, squeezing her in her arms. "BFFs forever, Y/N," she said with a sincere smile.
Emily drove Y/N home in silence while the swimmer pondered her friend's words and the uncertain future that lay ahead. Her near-death experience had made her question everything, her priorities, her dreams, her feelings for Leah.
When they arrived home, Y/N thanked Emily again for her help and support, promising to keep her updated on what happened with Leah. Emily hugged her warmly and got out of the car, driving back to her own house, hoping that Y/N would find the happiness she so desperately desired.
Y/N walked into the house, her hesitant steps leading her to the living room. Marvin, the golden retriever she shared with Leah, greeted her with an excited bark, wagging his tail frantically. She knelt down beside him, stroking his soft head and feeling the comfort of his presence.
"Hey, boy," she said in a tired voice. "I missed you."
Marvin licked her face enthusiastically, as if happy to have her back home. Y/N got up and walked to the kitchen, opening the fridge and grabbing a bottle of water. As she drank, she looked at the phone on the counter, knowing she needed to call Leah and explain everything that had happened.
But with each passing second, her hesitation grew. What would she say? How would Leah react? What if she wasn't ready to talk? Y/N felt trapped between the desire to confess her feelings and the fear of rejection.
Suddenly, a noise at the door pulled her out of her thoughts. She turned and saw Leah standing there, her eyes full of concern. Marvin barked again, jumping for joy at seeing his other owner had returned.
"Leah!" Y/N exclaimed, surprised by the presence of the English player. "What are you doing here?"
Leah approached her, her eyes fixed on her face. "I know what happened at the pool," she said in a firm voice. "Emily called me and told me everything."
Y/N felt her heart pounding in her chest. "And… what do you mean by that?" she asked, trying to stay calm.
Leah took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes. "Y/N, I love you," she said, her voice soft and sincere. "And I was so scared of losing you."
Leah's words hit Y/N like a lightning bolt, causing all her doubts and fears to dissipate instantly. She couldn't believe that Leah also loved her, even with her obsession with swimming and her difficulty balancing the sport with a relationship.
"Leah," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "I love you too. More than you imagine."
Leah smiled, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "So what does that mean?" she asked, reaching out her hand to Y/N.
Y/N looked at her hand and then into her eyes. She knew it was time to make a decision, to choose between her dream and her love. But in that moment, looking at Leah, she knew what really mattered.
With a radiant smile, she took Leah's hand and squeezed it tightly. "It means we're together," she said, her voice full of determination. "We'll find a way to make everything work, because the love we feel for each other is more important than anything else."
Leah pulled her into a tight hug, and the two surrendered to the happiness of finally being able to be together without fear or resentment. Marvin barked again, wagging his tail excitedly, as if celebrating the union of his mistresses.
Informal translation:
"Woah, Leah!" Y/N exclaimed, taken aback by the English player's sudden appearance. "What brings you here?"
Leah closed in on her, her gaze fixated on Y/N's face. "I'm aware of the pool incident," she stated firmly. "Emily filled me in on everything."
Y/N's heart pounded like a drum in her chest. "And what exactly do you mean by that?" she inquired, attempting to maintain composure.
Leah inhaled deeply and met S/n's eyes. "Y/N, I've got feelings for you," she confessed, her voice soft and genuine. "And I was terrified of losing you."
Leah's words struck Y/N like a bolt of lightning, instantly dispelling all her doubts and worries. She couldn't fathom that Leah reciprocated her feelings, despite her unwavering dedication to swimming and the challenges of balancing a relationship with her sport.
"Leah," she began, her voice trembling with emotion. "I feel the same way about you. More than words can express."
Leah's lips curved into a smile, her eyes sparkling with joy. "So, what does that mean for us?" she asked, extending her hand towards Y/N.
Y/N glanced at Leah's hand and then back into her eyes. She knew she had a decision to make, to choose between her dream and her love. But in that moment, gazing at Leah, she realized what truly mattered.
With a radiant grin, she grasped Leah's hand and squeezed it tightly. "It means we're a couple," she declared, her voice filled with determination. "We'll figure out a way to make it work, because our love for each other surpasses anything else."
Leah pulled her into a warm embrace, and they surrendered to the bliss of finally being together without any fear or resentment. Marvin barked once more, wagging his tail enthusiastically, as if celebrating the union of his beloved owners.

BEAUTIFUL CRIME | LW

BEAUTIFUL CRIME ⸻ persephone! leah williamson x hades! leitor.
Warning: Based on fictional books about Greek mythology, alternate universe - modern, Reader and Leah are soccer players, Reader is a female version of Hades, Leah doesn't remember her past life but Reader does. English is not my first language!
Y/N, since she was a little girl, was an ordinary girl in a small town. Her days were filled with school, friends, family, and above all, a passion for football. The ball was her inseparable companion, and the field, her stage. She dreamed of becoming a professional player, and at the age of 18, her dream opportunity came true: a spot on Chelsea, one of England's biggest clubs.
However, the fulfillment of this dream was accompanied by strange events. Vivid and recurring dreams transported her to an ancient world of gods and mythology. In these dreams, she was Hades, the Greek god of the Underworld, and lived a forbidden love story with Persephone, the goddess of spring.
The images were so real that Y/N felt the emotions of the characters as if they were her own. Confused and scared, she decided to tell her parents about the dreams. They listened attentively, but as always, downplayed the situation, thinking it was just stress or anxiety from football.
Frustrated and without answers, Y/N also sought help from a psychologist. However, the professional didn't pay much attention to the dreams, classifying them as simple fantasies. Feeling lost and unsupported, Y/N decided to move on, focusing on football.
At Chelsea, she quickly became one of the most talented players on the team, earning the admiration of fans and teammates. Among them was Leah Williamson, the talented defender of Arsenal, Chelsea's rival. Leah was different from all the other women Y/N had ever met. There was something about her that inexplicably drew her in.
In one of the most important matches of the championship, Y/N found herself face to face with Leah. The tension was palpable, and in the heat of the moment, Y/N looked directly into the defender's blue eyes. At that moment, something extraordinary happened.
A surge of energy ran through Y/N's body, and she fainted on the field. When she woke up in the hospital, everything was different. The memories of the dreams were mixed with reality, and Y/N finally understood the truth: she was not just Y/N, the football player. She was Hades, the god of the Underworld, and Leah Williamson was Persephone, his beloved goddess of spring.
The locker room buzzed with post-game chatter, the air thick with the mingled scents of sweat, adrenaline, and victory. Y/N, still basking in the glow of a hard-fought win, found their gaze drawn to Leah Williamson, the Arsenal defender who had been their nemesis on the pitch.
Leah stood out from the crowd, her presence both imposing and enigmatic. Her fiery blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders, framing a face that was both striking and serene. Y/N couldn't help but admire the way Leah carried herself, with an air of quiet confidence that radiated power.
When their eyes met, Y/N felt a familiar jolt of electricity surge through their veins. The same spark that had ignited during their previous encounter on the field now flickered between them, creating an undeniable connection.
Y/N's heart pounded in their chest as they approached Leah, their mind racing with a thousand unspoken words. They wanted to tell Leah about the dreams, about the strange and undeniable feelings that were churning inside them. But they hesitated, unsure of how Leah would react.
Leah's gaze softened as Y/N drew closer, her lips curving into a playful smile. "Well, well, if it isn't Chelsea's underworld Hades," she teased, her voice laced with amusement.
Y/N's cheeks flushed, a mix of embarrassment and delight. "I'm not Hades," they protested weakly.
Leah's laughter echoed through the locker room, attracting curious glances from their teammates. "Oh, come on, Y/N," she said, shaking her head. "You're as dark and mysterious as the Underworld itself."
Y/N couldn't help but smile back at Leah, their heart fluttering with a new sense of lightness. Leah's playful banter was disarming, a welcome contrast to the intensity of their rivalry on the field.
"And you," Y/N replied, their voice gaining confidence, "are as radiant as the spring sun itself."
Leah's smile widened and her eyes sparkled with mischief. "Well, I do have a soft spot for flowers," she admitted.
Y/N felt a surge of hope. Could this be a sign? Could Leah be open to more than just a friendly rivalry?
Before Y/N could respond, a teammate called out, interrupting their conversation. The locker room emptied as the players headed for the showers and changing rooms, leaving Y/N and Leah alone.
The silence stretched between them, heavy with unspoken words and possibilities. Y/N took a deep breath, their heart pounding in their chest. This was it. The moment to take a chance, to step out of the shadows and into the unknown.
"Leah," Y/N began, their voice trembling slightly. "I..."
Leah's eyes met theirs, a flicker of curiosity dancing in their depths. "Yes?" she prompted, her voice soft and inviting.
Y/N took another deep breath, steeling their nerves. "I want to take you out," they blurted out, their words tumbling over each other.
Leah's eyes widened in surprise, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "Really?" she asked, her voice laced with amusement.
Y/N nodded, their heart pounding in their chest. "I mean it," they said, their voice gaining strength. "I've never felt this way about anyone before."
Leah's smile widened, her eyes sparkling with a newfound warmth. "Well, I've never been asked out by a Hades before," she said, her voice teasing. "But I think I might be able to make an exception."
Y/N's heart soared as a wave of relief and joy washed over them. They had done it. They had taken the chance, and it had paid off.
As they walked out of the locker room together, Y/N couldn't help but grin. The future was uncertain, but one thing was for sure: it was going to be an exciting ride.
Y/N looked at Leah, her heart pounding in her chest. "Leah," she began, her voice barely a whisper, "I...".
Leah's eyes met hers, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to fade away. Y/N felt a connection with Leah that went beyond words, a bond that transcended the boundaries of time and space.
But just as Y/N was about to pour out her heart, Leah's expression changed. A mischievous glint appeared in her eyes, and she leaned in close, whispering in Y/N's ear.
"Maybe another time, Hades," she said, her voice laced with promise. "But for now, let's keep this between us."
With that, Leah turned and walked away, leaving Y/N standing there, her heart pounding with a mix of confusion and excitement. What was Leah trying to say? What did she mean by "another time"?
Y/N was left with more questions than answers, but one thing was for sure: her feelings for Leah were more undeniable than ever. And she knew she would do whatever it took to win Leah's heart, even if it meant facing the gods themselves.

I've finished writing the two stories I want to publish this week, both featuring Leah Williamson. They're still in Portuguese, so I'm translating them bit by bit, but I think they'll be out by the end of the week.
Also, I'm taking requests for other players!
