Genuinely one of the most amazing and awesome (literal definitions of the words, not half-hearted usages) things I've seen in a long time. I was lucky enough to be able to look through the clouds and see the eclipse without glasses. It likely did some minor damage to my eyes, but it was completely worth it. (Tell that to my 8-year-old self that, for a pastime, stared at the sun. Yes, I have permanent visual snow.) I saw the 2017 eclipse, but we didn't have the solar glasses, and effectively 0% cloud cover, so i watched it via light shining through the trees; little crescents were everywhere, and it was beautiful.
It honestly brings into consideration just how small/unimportant we are as an individual; only as a collective could we have done the things we have, and it makes so much sense now.
"If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." -Isacc Newton
The earliest form of this quote is traced to Bernard of Chartres by John of Salisbury in the treatise The Metalogicon. "nani gigantum humeris insidentes."
Someone captured the solar eclipse on an airplane

Broken Cam Photos #5
These roses no longer exist. Someone uprooted them. However, funny enough, the place we moved to had a small unkempt rose bush.

Different from the first two BCPs, I liked this one because of the natural silhouettes against the horizon, and the unnatural straight lines from the cables that run diagonally across the sky.

This is my little (not so little anymore) buddy. His name is Max, and he is a good boy. He is now at least double this size in both length and width, but this is by far my favorite picture of him. (Guess what happened to the bottom of that chair leg in the frame)

I have a few more flower photos that I really enjoy, but this one is perhaps my favorite. I always liked the hue, even though it is a low contrast picture.

Something very interesting here. If entropy seems to be decreasing in an area (a balloon being inflated), then somewhere around the phenomenon must be increasing in entropy equally to maintain conservation of energy (something must be using energy to inflate the balloon).
This is one of the many reasons why living things exist; because they are a containment of energy that transforms the space around it (eating, building, dying, etc), they effectively increase overall entropy by spreading the energy they concentrated. Anyone that wants to add onto this or correct my errors, feel free.

Thermodynamics
Thermodynamics is defined as a branch of physics that deals with energy, primarily heat, temperature, and the work of a system. More specifically, it deals with the relationships between these values and others, including entropy and the conversion of one form of energy to another. Only large scale, relatively speaking, system responses are defined as thermodynamics - the overall trend or reaction a system exhibits. There are four laws of thermodynamics, defined in the image above.

Broken Cam Photos #1
Like the title states, the camera that took this photo is now broken (and gone). The flash capacitor fried the camera due to a short, however I was able to recover all the photos from it. I will upload more when I see fit. Also, these pictures are not in chronological order and are simply based on how much I like them at a given moment.
