Outside of canon events, or pre-endeavour intern arc TodoBakuDeku is hilarious because no other two characters paired with Shouto can make Enji more pissed or raise his blood pressure higher. The son he planned to live vicariously through is dating All Might's stupidly powerful protege and a teen who reminds Enji of himself but is actually a better person at age 16 and will no holds barred roast him harder than his own flames ever can. No mercy when a former middle school bully decides to use their time as a shithead for good and you're their target. Even if them as a ship isn't your thing but as ride-or-die friends this can work the same way. Shouto just had to get those two for friends.
