Did a little challenge for drawing thumbnails/ alternate drawing ideas all based on the same concept from halcyon!

I thought it'd be good practice for coming up with neat ideas! I've been struggling with art block lately and i think it's helping! poor acianne is a huge disaster-

i realized the top row actually seem like they kind of go together like a lil comic almost, sort of! though that wasn't intentional!

I tried to make my first animation meme- I had issues stopping acianne from shaking around for some reason so please just assume that Acianne is just like, THAT mad at me

(note: acianne is one of the mcs of my book Halcyon, you know the superhero book about Ciero , my favorite lil supervillain who'll do anything he can to save his superhero!...that's why she's so mad at me, she ah, she has every reason to despise me as you can imagine given what I put those poor things through in my book)

it looks like a silly design because at first she was just a joke character- in fact arguably this might not even be THE first design *this* might be

HEY HOWDY! if you want to do this sort of thing with Godot which is also free and open source but does require a little coding (very little actually if you really dont want to!) and handles almost everything for visual novels, use the plugin Dialogic! its SO worth it and i would HIGHLY suggest as a game dev myself that's completed a visual novel before (hateshinai umi aquarium) using renpy that you try godot instead because then once and if you want to add fun lil mini games or even lots of other things to it you dont have to deal with an absolute NIGHTMARE trying to force a program that cant do that to do it, also its really easy to use and theres lots of tutorials! HIGHLY suggest it!!!! CODING IS MUCH EASIER THAN PEOPLE GIVE IT CREDIT FOR AND IF ANYONE WANTS I WILL MAKE VIDEOS EXPLAINING HOW TO DO SPECIFIC THINGS WITH DIALOGIC AND OR GODOT TEACHING YOU GUYS SO YOU CAN DO IT TOO SO IF YOU GUYS WANT HELP LMK OR IF ANY OF YOU OTHER GUYS WANT ADVICE :D I LOVE HELPING AND ID LOVE TO SEE WHAT AWESOME THINGS YOU ALL CREATE! GOOD LUCK!!!

yep pretty much ill just be typing full speed and ciero will be derailing my whole plot and theres nothing i can do

when fanfic authors say that they don’t decide what happens in the story that the characters make the decisions i imagine it like this:

Do you think the in-universe Love Händel fandom views the "Flynn-Fletcher Concert" as the greatest band revival in music history? Like seriously the three bandmates are implied to have been out of the business for like a decade after a nasty public breakup, only to spontaneously come back for a wedding anniversary of one of their fans. Every time they've reappeared on the show they seem to be popular and thriving. All because of that one concert. Legendary.

The Love Händel Wikipedia article must be a trip to read for the information on the Flynn-Fletcher Concert alone. What do you mean none of the bandmates knew they band was getting back together until the day of the concert? They didn't even rent a venue, it was just in someone's front yard where a girl scout troop set up a stage??? They probably caused a traffic jam. And hey, wait a sec, why are the names of the couple whose anniversary was being celebrated blue, indicating they have their own Wikipedia pages- they're LINDANA and MAX MODEM??? And their kids are Phineas and the Ferbtones??? Aren't they pop artists??? The "ninjas of love" that appeared during the concert are the Ferbettes??? Who are also the girl scouts who made the stage?????? The identity of the Love-a-Gram lady who appeared onstage midway through the opening number remains one of the music industry's greatest mysteries, since everyone assumes she must be famous too.

i misread this as "supervillain is opposing the superhero because their violent methods do not actually do anything to solve the problem" and i was like oh man thats what i did with halcyon oh no is ciero cliche and then i reread it and was like no nope i just have poor reading skills
