nothing feels better than listening to the “lover” album then looking up and seeing blues and purple pink skies.

how can a song be my comfort pill and the one that shatters me the most at the same time? yes, i’m talking about “all too well (10 minute version) (taylor’s version) (from the vault)”.
comfort is when i remember the vibes this era had. the autumn sadness, the weather, the music videos, taylor’s appearance, sadie and dylan, the first time experience of the whole album, especially of the short film, everything. you’d be lying if you said “all too well” didn’t feel like a pinnacle of red tv.
sadness is when you take in every line. the insurmountable grief of the song, the album as a whole, the pain when you first watched the short film, the story behind all too well, the bridge, once again, everything.
the paradox of our experience with red tv, especially all too well, is what makes it special.

i don’t know about you, but the era of “red (taylor’s version” feels like the best of times. no matter how long it’s been since the release, it always feels like yesterday.

the closest i can get to “need” by taylor swift is “all of the girls you loved before” last chorus and the “come here, dressed in black now. scratches down your back now” in so it goes… after the bridge and last chorus. tell me more!! it’s a need!!

“it’s another day waking up alone” and “if one thing had been different, would everything be different today?”
hit me where it hurts.

the 1 is so real for starting the song acting nonchalant and then spending the next lines reminiscing about that person. the 1 is so me.
