Is this still going? If so: Au where Tsunami's an animus.
-Tsunami, after accidentally finding out she's an animus at around three, is told by her guardians never to use her powers again. -Because this is Tsunami, she doesn't listen, but is careful because of the possibility of losing her soul. -During the first book, she breaks out of the chains and enchants the boulder to open, which keeps them from getting captured by Scarlet immediately.-They get found by a group of soldiers making rounds instead, and are promptly captured.-The events go similarly to the book, but when Tsunami has to fight Gill, she shouts an enchantment at him which is along the lines of, "I enchant you to go back to your normal state of mind", which means he doesn't die.-He ends up escaping with them, and goes with them to the kingdom of the sea where he's reunited with his family.-Coral is ecstatic to not only have another daughter, but to have another animus in the family.-Tsunami is less than impressed by Whirlpool's teaching, and practices herself.-After the egg is found broken, Tsunami enchants a shell to attach itself to the egg murderer and promptly destroys the statue.-The book goes on as normal afterwards, along with book three.-During the Nightwing Exodus, Tsunami enchants the cave to close off after Clay and Starflight come through.-She doesn't think to try and locate Sunny with an enchantment.-During the building of Jade Mountain, Tsunami helped make areas of the school for specific use, like a reading nook in every room, a spot for extra blankets, special things like that.-Darkstalker was also very protective of her before he was turned into Peacemaker.-She showed up when he summoned all of the Animi(animus'? Animuses?) Into the caveThats all I could think of for this, but it's a really interesting au-Mod Tamarin(i'm back guys)

Hi everyone! Mod Tamarin here, just to give everyone a proper update on my situation, I'm not currently in the hospital, but I have to go back a few more times so they can make sure theres nothing else wrong with me. I am pleased to announce, however, that I will be able to return completely and supply you with your Wings of Fire aus in just a couple more weeks! Until then, I'll post whenever I feel capable of doing so.
Lots of love!- Mod Tamarin

Hey!
I wanted to submit me and my friend's WOF AU
So the basic set-up is that Darkstalker and Queen Oasis never existed. Instead, one of the three NightWing princes strays far from home as a dragonet and ends up being taken in by a kindly pair of SandWings who name him Shadow Lynx. When the NightWing queen finally finds out where her son is, the NightWing prince has lived with the SandWings his entire life and is one of the SandWing queen's favorite subjects.
She refuses to give Shadow Lynx back and war breaks out between the two. The SkyWings ally themselves with the SandWings due to Queen Scarlet wanting more prisoners for her arena, and the IceWings partner with the NightWings because they're disgusted that anyone would ever challenge royal blood.
As time goes on, the NightWings become more and more desperate for their lost prince and the queen starts threatening that if she is not given her son then she will command the animuses of her kingdom to build a superweapon.
There are also a few changes to the animus rules in the book. The animuses are more common, and when they die they turn into various things: shadows if they were extremely good in their lifetime, statues of rock-hard stone if they were evil, and if they were somewhere in the middle they become butterflies with various patterns of black and white markings meant to signify how they spent their lives.
The shadows are known to guide dragons in their dreams, while the butterflies live on an island that noone is even sure really exists and are tended to by a mysterious monk-like dragon.
What do you think?

Hi everyone! Mod Tamarin here, I wanted to let you all know why I haven't posted anything since the Skywing Egg au. I've been in and out of the hospital the last few weeks, and I haven't had the energy or even the inspiration to really come up with much. I should be back to normal within another week, and I'll be able to start posting more aus! -Mod Tamarin

a AU were the SkyWing egg didn't get destroyed and survives?
-The Skywing, who I’m going to call Carmine for this, hatches as a female with a red colouring with deep green eyes and is partially blind in one eye.
-She bonds with Sunny closely, and always listens to what she has to say.
-Carmine stands up to Kestrel whenever she’s too rude to the other dragonets.
-Tsunami and her spar with eachother constantly.
-When Morrowseer comes to visit the cave, he picks on Sunny since Glory isn’t there to be picked on, calling her a “Halfling” and “Not a true Sandwing.”
-Carmine comforts her after that, saying “Who cares what that grouchy old pile of camel turds says, I think you’re just as good as any other Sandwing, and I’ll bite him if he’s rude again.
-At the arena, Scarlet calls Carmine a traitor and shoves her in a cage next to Sunny’s to give to Burn.
-Peril frees her too, simply because none of the dragonets were leaving without her.
-It leads to a few problems while escaping, but Carmine gets really attached to Clay’s siblings.
-In the Rainwing forest, the DoD meet Glory, one of the only active Rainwings.
-Everyone encourages her to take the throne, and Glory puts them all in her protection once she’s queen.
-Carmine is defensive over Starflight when Fatespeaker comes around, since every other Nightwing she’s met has been awful.
-She’s the first dragon to notice Sunny’s disappearance after Starflight is blinded, and sounds the panic alarm almost immediately.
-At the end, Carmine has to help hold Clay down while he gets the venom burned out of him, and cries out of fear when she thinks he might die.
-At JMA, Carmine is basically a guidance counselor for her students, doing her best to make everyone feel welcome in an unfamiliar place.

-Qibli accepts the offer of being an Animus on one condition, Darkstalker has to take the enchantments off the rest of Pyrrhia.
-Darkstalker does, and poof! Animus Qibli.
-Qibli, doing the smart thing, enchants a necklace to keep his soul from being destroyed, but it makes him exhausted.
-He hates doing anything bad with his powers, and only ever uses them to heal and help other dragons.
-Kinkajou tells Qibli her idea of turning Darkstalker into a dragonet again because they have Foeslayer, and Qibli decides it’s a better idea than killing a 2,000 year old immortal dragon.
-So he does, and also decides to make him a Rainwing hybrid at Kinkajou’s request.
-Qibli ends up hardly ever using his powers after that, since doing large spells like that almost knocks him out.
This is a pretty interesting au, and it would really bring some other sides to Qibli to light.

Can you do an au where Starflight has animus powers?
-Starflight finds out that he has the powers accidentally because he jokingly says “Well maybe the scroll will read itself.” When Tsunami was complaining about having to read a boring history scroll.
-He immediately starts reading as many scrolls as possible about every Animus.
-When he reads about the soul thing, he promises his friends he’ll only do small enchantments.
-When Scarlet captures the DoD, Starflight wants to use his powers to save his friends, but they won’t let him.
-When they go to the Kingdom of the Sea and meet Queen Coral, he tells her that he’s an animus since Anenome is as well.
-Anenome immediately takes a liking to him since he’s the first animus she’s ever met besides herself.
-When the female dragonet dies, Starflight is immediately suspicious since the killer somehow was gone before anyone else got there.
-He ends up enchanting a rock to attach itself to whatever killed the unhatched princesses and drag them to Queen Coral.
-Orca’s statue is destroyed almost immediately.
-When he’s taken to the Nightwing kingdom, he’s trying to figure out how to escape as fast as possible without using his powers.
-He ends up using them to hide from the other dragonets while they’re hunting him.
-When Squid is sent away from the group, Starflight enchants him to make it back to the Talons of Peace safely.
-He also tries to heal Flame but Morrowseer keeps shoving him out of the way.
-During the eruption, he isn’t able to protect himself fast enough and still gets blinded.
-He doesn’t heal himself though, as he decided it would help him make a new kind of scrolls for blind dragons like himself and Tamarin.
-During the dragonbite viper incident, he still had to be saved by Clay, but was also trying to enchant Clay so he would be able to live.
-When Turtle finds out he’s an Animus, he’s ecstatic but also worried that he’ll get found out.
-Darkstalker also refuses to enchant him because he doesn’t want to enchant another animus, especially one related to him
-Since animus abilities are genetic, for this au I’m headcanoning that Starflight’s mother is somehow related to Stonemover, like 2nd cousins or something.
Holy moly this ended up kinda long.

Adding to the Darkstalker-is-a-tyrannical-king thingy, Icewing's are fragile and are literally considered thin ice. Despite the laws protecting them, Icewing hybrids are wildly shamed upon as said dragon mated with an Icewing. They are considered 'Icelings' and are protected, but their family is killed after they are found, so they are never able to mate again with another Icewing.
That’s a really cool idea that would totally fit in with the universe. Like I said, that whole AU could be expanded upon to no end, so feel free to add to it! (If you’re wondering anon is talking about the AU where clearsight fails to put darkie under the mountain)

What about a au where darkstalker helped white out on the brightest night.
-When hatchling Darkstalker sensed that Whiteout wasn’t hatching, he was gently tapping on her egg to try and get her attention.
-This, along with the fact that he was accidentally using his animus powers to free his sister, caused her to hatch much faster than she originally did.
-Whiteout was also given future sight and mind reading, but it was weaker than Darkstalker’s.
-Growing up, she wouldn’t have clear as day visions like Darkstalker and Clearsight, but she’d have small glimpses.
-Darkstalker would also have small conversations with her when she goes nonverbal.
-Her mindreading powers just give her a better insight on the feelings of others, and she still represents things with colors.
-She saw Darkstalker killing Arctic and being put under the mountain, but she never brought it up to anyone.
-When Foeslayer was captured, the stress that Whiteout let off caused Darkstalker to go into momentary shock.
I couldn’t think of much for this au, but it’s still an interesting thing.

I like these AUs because it’s interesting to see how the personalities would interact in other environments, and these two are well chosen.
-Starflight has no need to worry. He KNOWS he’s important -He’s a NightWing, AND a Dragonet of Destiny. No issues -His only crippling fear is his lack of powers, but he can’t let that get to him -However, he still uses his supposed powers as leverage over the guardians -When Morrowseer arrives, Starflight’s furious at him for daring to hurt his friends and decides that powers or no he’s worth more than any other NightWing -Tsunami studies hard to prove she’s not just the SeaWing of the group -She wants to be important so she works hard to make herself invaluable to the group -Starflight comes up with the breakout after Morrowseer’s visit, as he was ruffled by it -But, because he gets put in chains and not Tsunami, it’s her that’s sent out -She and Clay get out (He takes the role of rescuing her) -Events that ensue are basically the same -Tsunami’s forced to kill her father but it’s the hardest thing she’s ever doen -Starflight helps her fight off scavengers -Cue TLH -At this points Tsunami’s so desperate for information she still follows Riptide as normal -She’s terrified throughout the book because she’s all alone now and believes she can’t fight or do anything -She finds the courage to believe through her family -Skip THK -Starflight and Fatespeaker are far more chaotic due to the lack of any sensible person -He learns to get by and does the same things as regular Starflight -Tsunami becomes the librarian, Starflight becomes an all-powerful warrior dont mess with him

Double points! I feel like we might have made this already but I have notoriously bad memory so here goes.
-Carnelian’s badly burned, but she’s alive -She’s enraged and driven to find out who set the explosion, and that combined with the fact that they were trying to save her life drives her to the winglet -Now that she’s more willing to work with them she becomes close, especially to Qibli, Kinkajou and (Later) Winter -At the end of the book she leaves with them, and becomes an invaluable asset -Her strength helps carry and pin down Icicle -She aids in Chameleon’s attack by tending to Kinkajou immediately after her injury -And she stays in Possibility to wait for Winter -Though at first their relationship is rocky due to the whole firescales thing, she and Peril eventually become friends, or at least polite to each other -She goes with Qibli and Winter to Queen Thorn’s -She’s overall just a positive light in everyone’s day, kinda like Tsunami was for the DoD  -And I do feel sad we never got to see her develop relationships

That’s interesting- and complicated. I’m guessing you mean Clearsight and Fathom fail to stop him, so that’s the route I’ll take. -For whatever reason, the plan fails -Maybe he sees through the plan and never puts on the bracelet -In any case, Darkstalker captures and keeps prisoner Fathom and Clearsight and forces the NightWings back to the kingdom, making an army and conquering Pyrrhia -All IceWings are killed. Other tribes are allowed to live, though they have less power than NightWings -Few uprisings begin before Darkstalker quells them, beginning a tyrannical empire -Slowly as he gets madder and madder with age living conditions in Pyrrhia worsen for non-NightWings -Y’know this could probably make a good story, because I’m thinking along the lines of a rebellion led by another secret animus to overthrow Darkstalker but getting into those intricacies would be too much for now -However it works, hundreds of years after it happens in the original, Darkstalker is stopped -The rebellion attempts to restore the kingdoms but it’s been so long that it’s difficult -Borders between the SkyWings, SandWings, MudWings, and NightWings are fiercely disputed and the Ice Kingdom Peninsula is widely uninhabited -NightWings are now a far more plentiful tribe and NightWing hybrids are more common -Though the Pyrrhia in the wake of the empire is more knowledgable due to the way that more time could be put in science and art during Darkstalker’s time -Over the years an animus probably attempts to reintroduce IceWings with magic -Killing or harming IceWings is strictly prohibited as there are so few of them, but populations are on the rise and slowly the Ice Kingdom returns, its caste system now even more rigid due to their new size -I do actually really want to go into this more in depth, because this could constitute of a really great fanfiction or roleplay, since there are so many possibilities with it

Au where gill lives
Ooh, this is an interesting one.
-Tsunami chooses not to kill Gill, and when the DoD are escaping, she goes back to rescue him.
-Once Gill regains his sanity a bit after resting in some water, he sees the similarities in Tsunami and Queen Coral and puts together that this is his missing daughter.
-Tsunami is excited to meet her father and Gill is just ecstatic to know he has another living daughter.
-When the team goes to the Sea Kingdom, Queen Coral isn’t rude to the other DoD and is genuinely thankful for their help.
-When the princess’ egg is destroyed, Gill mourns right along with the rest of the family.
-And when Tsunami says that she’ll protect Auklet’s egg, Gill is hesitant at first, but trusts his daughter in the end.
-He also convinces Coral to not keep Anenome on her leash as much.
-Gill is almost in tears when Auklet hatches, because now he has three living daughters and they could have more now that the threat is destroyed.
-During the Skywing attack, Gill helps Tsunami get to her friends to save them, and before he has to leave with the rest of the family he says one last thing to her.
-“You’re absolutely amazing and brave, I know you can end this war. Good luck my princess, I love you.”
-Gill is also there when Turtle and Anenome are dropped off at Jade Mountain, and he convinces Coral to let Auklet go to the school the next year and to relax about Anenome being there alone.
-He also shows up when Turtle and Coral are having their bonding moment, and apologizes for blowing up at him when he wasn’t able to help save Anenome’s older sisters.
Basically, Gill becomes a great dad to his 36 kids and loves them all dearly.

An au where sunny looks more like a hybrid
-Sunny was able to put together that she wasn't just a deformed Sandwing much earlier on.-When Morrowseer came to look at the dragonets, he was both appaled and glad that the Sandwing had 'superior Nightwing blood in her'.-Sunny was excited to find out that there was nothing actually wrong with her, but now ready to ask even more questions about who her parents were.-When she was trapped in the cage at Scarlet's palace, Morrowseer and the other Nightwings forced Scarlet to let Sunny be with the rest of the dragonets.-She's furious that they wouldn't free her friends, but glad that she's near them again.-Almost every queen is questioning her about their futures and what they're thinking when they meet and find out she's half Nightwing.-During the Nightwing Exodus, she spent her time before being captured asking the different Nightwings if they had a dragonet with a Sandwing, hoping to find her mother or father.-When she's captured, she's able to escape faster because she can blend into the dark ground like they can with shadows.-Six-Claws realizes this is Thorn's daughter instantly, because Sunny is the only Sand/Night hybrid he's ever seen.-When Sunny meets Stonemover, he starts crying when he realizes that Sunny looks so much like him.-Jade Mountain Academy becomes a place where hybrids are gladly welcome, and as they start to extend the school, even more and more hybrids start showing up to be in a place that accepts them because of the obviously hybrid teachers.-Sunny just plainly becomes an inspiration for all Hybrids because she's proud of both her Sandwing and Nightwing traits.-Mod Tamarin
