2012!Raph x Reader

Just thought I might throw something out there as a silly little Christmas thing before the season ends.

The lair was filled with excitement as everyone was piled in and moving around. April was wrapping gifts with Donnie.

“Okay! That’s three gifts done already. What do you think Donnie?”

Her jaw dropped in awe, Donnie had already formed a detailed stack of wrapped gifts. The paper positioned perfectly with neat ribbons and bows covering the whole thing.

“How did you do that!?” He shrugged and smirked.

“Anything can be accomplished with the correct calculations.”

Just as he spoke Mikey came running through and toppled the pile of gifts taking Donnie with them.

“Mikey!” He yelled after lifting a gift away from his face.

“Sorry dude!” Mikey called back. “Gotta get these decorations going!”

He ran over to the tree the turtles had set up near the tv area. Leo had explicitly stated that they couldn’t put it against the wall as he wanted every decoration to be seen.

“Mikey, have you got the rest of them?” Leo asked frantically. Mikey panted and sighed as he dropped the heavy box of ornaments to the floor.

“Every last one.” He groaned before dropping to the floor.

“Come on Mikey don’t give up now. We’re so close.”

Mikey raised his hand and slipped an ornament onto one of the branches best he could until Leo panicked started yelling.

“What are you doing!?”

“What!?” Mikey shot up and frowned. “You said to not give up I assumed you meant decorating the tree so I kept decorating the tree!”

“Yeah but.” Leo plucked the ornament off. “I already said that the golds, reds and silvers can’t touch. It needs to look well structured. Candy canes on the tips of the branches, baubles on the top and bottom (without any clashing colours) and special ornaments in the middle. This isn’t going to work if we don’t follow the formula.”

Mikey groaned and collapsed on the floor again.

“I can’t bro. Go on without me, it’s too hard.”

“Suit yourself.” Leo smiled and continued reaching for more decorations.”

Y/n smiled at the scene of the entire lair as she stepped inside. Mikey, given he was the only one unoccupied, was the first to notice her arrival.

“Hey, wassup dudette!”

“Hey Mikey!” She smiled and laughed. “How’s it going?”

“Ugh boring, Leo’s taking all the fun out of tree decorating! It’s not that deep bro.”

Rolling his eyes, Leo looked back and down at his younger brother.

“Uh yes it is, we’ve barely gotten a chance to celebrate Christmas over the last year or so, so I’m going to do whatever I can to make this one perfect.”

“Because that’s a healthy mentality to have.” Y/n smiled.

Leo frowned and sent her a glare which Y/n wuickly brushed off cheerfully.

“Hey Y/n, sorry I don’t expect you to know or anything but do you happen to know when Casey will be getting here?” April asked bashfully.

“Oooooh.” The three brothers all spoke in sync and immediately began laughing their heads off.”

“Oh shut up.” April rolled her eyes smiling.

“I’m not too sure.” Y/n replied, stifling a laugh herself, but I think he said his family thing ends around 4 so he should be here sometime after then.”

“Thanks. Sorry for asking I just wanted to to make sure he’ll be here so I can-“

“Give him your special gift?” Y/n giggled and sat down, leaning in next to her. The two made eye contact and started laughing together giddily.

“If you’re both done over there.” Donnie cut through with an amused look on his face. “I think there’s someone who wants to see you Y/n.” He spoke in a sing-song tone.

“Alright, where is he? I thought he’d be out here with the rest of you.”

“You all taking about Raph!?” Mikey called from across the room.” He’s been locked up in his room all day! Not sure why though.”

With a bright face, Y/n quickly stood up and began heading towards Raph’s room waving goodbye to everyone else.

“Knock knock.” She called from outside the door, not even bothering to wait for a reply before barging in.

“Ahh, Y/n! Jeez!” Raph panicked and turned around, fumbling with something in his hands.

“Oooh watcha got there?” She teased, walking closer.

“A gift.” He sighed rolling his eyes, looking down at the floor with red cheeks. He stuck his hand out presenting the wrapped present. “For you.”

Y/n’s eyes lit up as she held it in her hands.

“Can I open it now?” She asked curiously.

“What kind of a question is that? Yes, of course you can!”

She smiled and began to tear away at the paper. Soon she was able to view the gift fully, a red loom band bracelet. She gasped and slipped it on.

“Just cos, you know, we can’t always be together so I figured if you’re up top side during the day or something it can be like a little reminder of me or us or whatever. I don’t know.”

“Raph.” Y/n laughed tearfully. “How long did it take you to make?”

“I don’t know, the thing kept breaking and I had to follow these weird tutorials. I had to get Mikey’s help, Mikey! But it worked in the end I hope.”

Y/n pulled him tightly into a hug. Snuggling into him slightly.

“I love it. Ooh, before I forget!” She then began searching for her own gift which she had hidden somewhere on her. “Here!” She cheered, finally pulling out the slightly crumpled present. Raph carefully took it from her and began to open it delicately, soon noticing something shiny inside.

A thin, metal rectangle on a stand. It could rotate in a circle serving as almost fidget toy, or so he thought. As he kept spinning it, Y/n eventually placed her hand on his and looked him the eye.

“Read it.” She smiled. Raph glanced down and noticed that there was indeed writing on either side of the rectangle. He slowly read it out.

“There are over 6 million turtles in the world.” He flipped it over the the other side. “But out of all of them, I’m glad I found you.”

He held the gift silently for a second, Y/n was about to ask if he was ok till he looked up at her with teary eyes. He pulled Y/n into a tight hug which she gladly reciprocated.

“I’m glad I found you too.”

Do you think MM!Splinter knows about pet rats? Just something I wonder about.

I’m not too sure, given how much time he spent as a regular rat I’d assume he might. Then again, he never interacted with humans or human society much back then from what we know.🤔 I wonder, what if he chose to keep a pet rat?

SPLINTER: (Holding a sewer rat) So, I hear humans on the surface like to keep you as pets.

Rat bites him on the finger.

SPLINTER: I like you, I shall name you Stewart!

Proceeds to gather an army of rats all with names beginning with the letter S.

We’ve all seen what Leo is like with a crush

He’s an absolute mess

Leo was head over heels in love from day one

I know it’s extremely cliche but he can’t help it, it’s just how he is

He’ll be doodling you in his sketch book, daydreaming about you, imagining every possibility of what could happen whenever you two hang out

He loves to spend quality time with you and will make an effort to get it whenever he can

Even in class, if he has the chance to sit next to you “coincidentally” he’ll take it

And if you try to work with him on something, omg

Leaning into him to see his laptop, handing him a pencil, even if you just scoot closer to look at a textbook

He’ll be a flustered mess, he can’t handle it

He is paying attention to every physical exchange you two ever have I swear to god

Every moment, every second he will cherish with you

And his brothers tease him

Ruthlessly

An example would be one time in lunch

Leo was getting bullied by his brothers and you happened to walk by at the worst possible time

Ugh, I’m so tired! What did you just have? Math. But aren’t you normally good at math? Yes! But for some reason I was too tired to focus. Too tired or too busy thinking about Y/n Shut up. What about me?

Thankfully for Leo, you heard nothing but your name however it was still a close call

Another thing, he wishes he had the chance to look into your eyes

It might sound a little random but he’d love to just examine them and look at you freely

(Also, he read somewhere that people have a higher chance of falling in love when looking into each other’s eyes so…)

For the most part though, he’s just trying his best to hang out with you while secretly admiring your every being

Raph doesn’t have a crush, he doesn’t get them

And on you of all people? Please

You bumped into him once, got all rude and snarky and now it seems you’re trying to one-up him in just about everything!

You’re a menace who’s so annoying that he can’t stop thinking about you

Seriously, he thinks about you a lot

Your strength, grades, social status, looks

But it’s not because he finds you attractive

No, he’s just trying to come up with creative ways to insult you

Like those stupid pretty eyes, weak

Or he could mention how you spend too much time on your hair since it looks so perfect everyday

Yeahhhh

This guy is incredibly stubborn in accepting he has a crush

He’s even more stubborn when it comes to acting on said crush after finally accepting that he has one

Every time you talk to him it fills his body with so much energy that he just wants to punch someone

Which is normally what he does, typically one of his brothers

He doesn’t really understand when you try to be nice to him since it’s almost set in his mind that you hate him

Changing your relationship from a (one sided) rivalry to a friendship is just really confusing for him, but he‘s happy about it nonetheless

And while you do spark something in him that makes him inherently more aggressive, your presence can also calm him down

One time he saw you using a method of stress relief and asked about it

That was the day Raph learned about coping mechanisms

He’s pretty good at hiding how he feels when it counts so he doesn’t get too flustered around you

But be warned, if you do anything to show of your strength wether it be through flirting or showing off

He will be broken, frozen, prepared to get down on one knee and offer you a ring pop

What can I say, he has a thing for strong people

He can still be a bit on edge when accused of harbouring romantic feelings of any sort

But he’ll admit to it when he’s ready

Donnie

Donnie doesn’t want to admit he has a crush

But he soooo has a crush

He’s the type to blush and feel flustered all the time

He’s scared to hold a normal conversation with you because he can’t have one without acting awkward

He notices you any time you’re in his eye view

His main strategy to get to know you is casually bring up common interests in hopes you’ll latch onto a conversation with him

He’ll be particularly excited if he discovers you’re a K-pop stan

And if you even know what AOT stands for, he’s set

He likes to imagine what life would be like if you guys dated

He’ll avoid eye contact but try to look at you

And when his brothers find out well…

They’re going to tease him but he is the designated holder of blackmail so revenge is easy for him to deliver

If he ever has to save you, the poor thing

He’ll be panicking 24/7 trying to make sure you get out alive and unscathed

Even after it’s all over he’ll still be checking you for injuries and hugging you tight for reassurance

You might disappear into thin air, he can’t risk that

Will 100% try to show off in math and science

And robotics? Stand back because he’s about to send all expectations through the roof

Literally, he can will and has blown up the classroom roof before

Donnie wants to confess and gets closer to doing so each day but for now he’s happy where his is with you

Just two classmates slowly bonding over pop culture and near-death experiences

Fun times

Mikey

Mikey I imagine would come off as extroverted at first but underneath is just a shy little sweetheart

He’s your number 1 fan, going to every concert, show, game, event, whatever you have going on

He doesn’t try to hide it from his brothers too much

Like, if they ask him about you he’ll just start kicking his feet and going into full detail

Loves giving you hugs, hugs are the best

And once you get close enough he’ll even lean on you from time to time

If you ever compliment him, you’ll get one of two responses

The first is that he’ll blush and act extremely bashful, waving it off completely

The second is that he’ll accept it with full grace and go on to bring up every story he has relating to said compliment

He also has a thing for “playful flirting” where he’ll act like it’s all jokes because you’re friends

This is how he gets away with looking at you for a prolonged amount of time, lifting up your chin with his finger, carrying you bridal style, hugging you from behind

He’ll call you gorgeous and laugh it off like he was just messing around :l

I will say, out of all the brothers he’s come the closest to confessing

Valentine’s Day, he noticed how you wouldn’t stop talking about wanting to celebrate it

So naturally he made you a card and got all the stereotypical gifts

Chocolate, flowers and even a little plushy he found

Mikey! You got me all this? Thank you! Seriously, this is so sweet, I need to give you something in return Don’t mention it, you deserve it Was there something you were wanting to tell me as well? …

Finally, I finished it!🎉🥳 Tbh, I wasn’t too sure who to put as Leo’s favourite female character and at first I was thinking more Star Trek (because I think it’s pretty well known that the Leo’s are sci-fi lovers) but I didn’t know how many people would be familiar with it so I chose to go off the Batman reference from the movie. Anyway, that was really unnecessary but I felt like sharing the process. Please enjoy, I hope you like it!

Down in the sewers, Leo was busy sprawled out on his bed, working on his comic book as usual.

“They’re heroes, yeah, woo, yeah!” He whispered as he continued drawing.

“You’re my hero Leo!” He whispered the words as he drew a picture of Y/n L/n, a friend from school he had started crushing on. He kicked his legs giddily as he began daydreaming of scenarios where he got to save her, show off his skills, hold her in his arms as they travelled along rooftops… if only that could be reality.

“Come on Leo, you’re gonna make us late!” Donnie called from the other side of the room.

“I’m coming, I’m coming!”

Instead of working on his comic tonight though, Leo was going to be attending a costume party with the rest of his brothers. They only had a little while to get ready, so the boys began getting dressed up and gathering their things.

“C’mon, ergh-almost! *huff* You couldn’t of gone with a more shell friendly outfit!?” Raph lifted his head up, he was helping Leo get on the rest of his costume.

“Come on, just pull!” Leo complained. They continued a back-and-forth struggle till the final piece eventually fell into place.

“There!” Raph huffed “You happy?”

“Yes actually.” Leo smiled proudly before his face shifted to a nervous frown. He began twisting around to check how he looked and anxiously glanced at Raph. “Do you think Y/n will like it?”

He burst out laughing. “Please, Y/n’ll like whatever costume you decide to put on. I mean, you look like a dork but I don’t think she’ll care.”

“Ok.. wait, what’s that supposed to mean?” But Leo wasn’t given an answer as Donnie came rushing between them.

“Do you think we should leave now or in a couple minutes? Cos the party starts in like 13 but I looked up party etiquette on Wikipedia and it says you’re supposed to be there 30 minutes after start time.”

“Wikipedia, seriously?” Leo judged.

“Well it’s not like you have any experience with this stuff!” Donnie pointed out.

“You’re right, I don’t.” Leo admitted. “And because of that, I say it’s best to just play it safe and leave now so we can arrive on time.”

“You just want to see Y/n, don’t you?” Mikey teased, poking out from behind the three.

“I do not!” He defended.

“Yeah right, I bet you can’t wait to see her all dressed up.” Donnie smirked.

“Oh please stop.”

“Yeah, and he’ll probably ask her to dance.” Raph joined in.

“Ask her to- what? No!”

“Aww you’re probably gonna try and get all cozy with her so you can start making out together. Mm mm mwa!” Mikey made the noise right next to Leo’s ear, causing him to jump.

“No, no and no.” Leo pointed at each of his brothers. “We’re just going to go and everything’s going to be chill, no one’s going try or ask or do anything. Ok?”

His brothers all exchanged squinted side-eyes before Donnie casually shrugged. “Whatever you say Nardo.”

“But seriously, let’s go. It’s party time!” Raph cheered as they all began to leave.

The lower half of building where the party was happening was entirely quiet in contrast to the loud bass and blaring lights that could be seen and heard towards the top level.

Leo and his brothers were caught up in some conversation when they opened the door but stopped as they were immediately swarmed by almost everyone in the room.

“Hey, oh my gosh it’s you!”

“Yo guys, the turtles are here!”

“Love the costumes.”

Amongst the chaos Leo managed to spot April doing her best to wave from the back of the crowd.

“Hey guys I see April, imma go over and say hi.”

“Yeah I gotta go to, see you all.” Donnie quickly waved as he headed over to talk to his friends.

As they all disbanded so did the crowd and Leo was able to easily walk across the room.

“Hey April!” He smiled and waved.

“Leo, hey! You all good after whatever that was.” April raised her eyebrows and glanced over to the entrance before looking back at Leo.

“Yeah, it’s still hard to get used to so many people liking us now.” He nervously laughed.

“Speaking of people who like you.” April mumbled. “Hey Y/n, Leo’s here!”

Y/n glanced to where the two were and turned to start walking over. “Oh, hey Leo!”

Leo looked over in her direction, feeling a pile of nerves simply at the prospect of greeting her. But when he saw what she was wearing everything increased by a million.

It was like one of those slow motion sparkly walks that you see in movies. Where everything fades out and all you can see is the pretty love interest waking forward with romantic music playing in the background. At least, that’s how Leo saw it.

“Hey, Y/n. Uh I like your costume. Catwoman! You look amazing.” His cheeks heated up the longer he spent looking at her.

“Thanks! I was originally thinking of going as Carol Marcus (Star Trek character, for those who don’t know) but I figured people would get this reference more.” She smiled and held her hands together.

Oh wow, so no matter what she wore she was going to end up dressing as the love interest for one of the heroes he pictured himself as. Leo figured he may as well die on the spot because his brain was no longer working.

“Oh, so you’re into older stuff. That’s pretty cool.” Seriously Leo, that just sounded obnoxious!

“Yeah. Well anyway, I’m going to go get something to drink. Do either of you want anything?” Y/n asked. April waved off the offer.

“Nah I’m good, thanks though!”

“You don’t need to get me anything.” Leo shyly smiled. Thank goodness blush was less visible on his skin or else he’d be dead.

“Okay! I’ll see you guys around then. See you later!” Y/n waved as she walked off into the crowd.

“Bye!” April called.

“See ya!” Leo anxiously chuckled. He stood in a slouched position for a moment.

“At least try to stand upright when you’re talking to her. You look like you just got punched in the gut.” April advised, causing Leo to stand upright quickly.

“Oh r-right, of course.” He coughed into his hand and gave April a blatant, overly toothy smile.

“So.” She spoke up. “What did you think of Y/n’s costume?”

“C-costume. Right, yes, her costume. I love it I think it’s really pretty and well-made.” Leo closed his eyes in an attempt to stay composed. An attempt that failed miserably, I might add.

“Maybe you should have gone as Batman, then you two could’ve paired up.” Leo frowned and gave April an aggressive side-eye.

“I hate you.”

“No you don’t.” April smiled and patted Leo on the head, causing him to sigh and look down.

“No I don’t.”

Y/n’s costume was the only thing on Leo’s mind for the rest of the night. Anytime he noticed her he couldn’t help but sneak glances every few minutes.

He was talking to a group of friends and had to be snapped back to reality as he couldn’t stop looking over in her direction.

There was even a point where she noticed him and he immediately looked away with a bright red face. But, then again, his face was already a blushing mess for most of the night.

He could barely get near Y/n because every time he did, his heart would race and he’d begin to feel an overwhelming amount of nerves? Love? Maybe a mix of both…

Either way, point is he was helpless. Helpless to his own feelings. So when everyone started gathering to dance to a popular song and Y/n grabbed his hand to pull him in, oh how the world felt irrelevant.

Little did he know, Y/n did this intentionally so she’d be able to dance with him. The two looked at each other and began laughing while uncontrollably smiling as the music played.

Feeling bold, Y/n decided to go in for a dip which caught Leo off-guard but he succeeded in catching her. Now they were even closer, very much unbelievably closer. What would happen if the two just inched their faces forward and…

“Who wants to play truth or dare!” Some random person yelled, leading the entire room to erupt into cheers.

Y/n quickly followed the large crowd of people as a circle started to form and waved over Leo as he was still repeating that entire sequence of events in his head. Was that a ‘we should kiss’ moment or a ‘we’re having fun’ moment because he really couldn’t tell!

Well now it was over and he instead found himself in a circle with Donnie on his right, Raph on his left, and Y/n sat opposite him from across the circle.

The game began and went on for a few rounds till some guy decided to point at Y/n.

“Y/n! Truth or dare?” Feeling hyped up, Y/n chose to go for the more interesting choice.

“Dare.”

The guy let out a menacing chuckle and began rubbing his hands together. “Alright, I dare you… to text your crush.”

“Pfft what are you, five?” Y/n burst out laughing.

“Five year olds can text now?” He asked.

Y/n rolled her eyes playfully before pulling her phone out. Leo’s mind started racing. Who was she going to text? Would it be him? What if it wasn’t him? What if she lied? What if it was one of his brothers? What if-

“I can’t, phones dead.” She shrugged before placing her phone back down beside her. The guy groaned.

“Ok. Then I dare you… to pledge your elegance to the holy sanctimony of caterpillar.”

“I’m sorry, what?” Y/n raised her eyebrows.

“It’s a thing.” He nonchalantly replied.

“It’s not a thing.” The girl next to him shook her head. He waved his hand dismissively at her.

“It’s totally a thing.”

“Alright then. I pledge my elegance to the holy sanctimony of caterpillar.” Y/n gave a confused look as the guy raised his fists.

“Huzzah! Welcome, to the caterpillar cult.” She stifled a laugh at his absurd announcement.

“What the? Uh, ok I guess that’s my turn. Um… Leo! Truth or dare?” She made eye contact with him, only briefly but still.

“Uh, um. Ehh truth.” Stupid Leo. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Y/n began to look around for ideas. “Ok, since we were on the topic of crushes I think it’s only right to ask; who do you have a crush on?” She smiled and leaned forward, followed by everyone else in the circle.

Honestly, she may have played it as a teasing joke but Y/n genuinely wanted to know. Yes she knew he’d probably lie but his response would at least give away something.

“Who do I have a crush on?” Leo began sweating bullets and avoided eye contact at all costs. “Uh well I have a crush on a girl, human, a human girl. Yep, that’s-that’s who it is.”

“Uh huh. Yeah I asked who they are not what they are so, I’m gonna need a little more information than that.” Y/n smiled deviously, she just wanted to know a little

more.

“She’s charming, s-smart, uh pretty very pretty ca-c-p-person that, of whom I know to a certain degree.” He began internally cringing at how he had stuttered. Dammit Leo! Why do you have to be you?

Y/n sat there for a good moment, analysing all the info she’d just got out of him. “Mmm… good enough! You go.”

He let out a quiet sigh of relief before turning to his right. “Whew. Donnie, truth or dare?

“Truth.” Not a moment of hesitation.

Leo smiled jokingly, hoping to act all teasing to take the pressure off of himself. “Who do you have a cru-“

“Don’t.” Donnie replied sternly.

“Ok.” He got the message and quickly reeled back.

The game finished up soon after and everyone split off to go do different things.

The rest of the night went as it did before. Leo would be talking to someone, look over in Y/n’s direction, feel like his stomach had turned into a butterfly enclosure and turn back to the people he was talking too, ignoring the increasing blush covering his face.

Every minute, every second, every waking moment of his existence had just been infiltrated by the thought of Y/n and her stunning outfit.

And Y/n noticed. Oh she noticed. It’s what led her to walk up to him the second she saw he was alone.

“Hey Leo.” She sat down next to him. Oh boy, here he goes again.

“Hey Y/n, again. How many times have we greeted each other tonight now?” Leo wondered leading Y/n to giggle slightly.

“I don’t know. The party’ll be over soon so I figured I’d try to sneak in one more moment with you before we all have to leave.” She leaned to the side and bumped her shoulder playfully with his. Leo’s eyes widened after hearing what she said.

“It’s already near the end? That was quick.” Y/n burst out laughing.

“Leo, it’s like 11pm. We’ve been here for hours!”

“Wait seriously!?” He sat up straighter with his hands as support before sinking back into a comfortable position. “Huh, time really does fly by.”

A moment of silence passed till Leo decided to ignore his nerves and speak up.

“By the way, I never actually told you how much I like your outfit.”

“Oh you don’t have to.” Y/n tried to wave him off.

“But seriously, it’s super pretty and looks amazing on you. I love it.” Leo grinned genuinely while gesturing to her outfit.

“Thanks Leo, I love your costume too. How did you even manage to get it on?” Y/n wondered.

“Help from Raph.” Leo stated.

“Ahh I see...” They both fell into silence again for a little while. Feeling nervous, Y/n glanced to the side and decided to just drop the bomb by asking “Are we- do we have a thing going on between us or is that just me being stupid?”

“Huh, uh w-what?” Leo’s eyes widened in shock as he turned to look at her. She in turn looked in his direction, although her gaze rested just a little off to the side from his face as she felt too anxious to make eye contact with him.

“Like I know, or at least I think I know, that you’ve been looking over at me a few times tonight and it felt like there was something going on back when we were dancing with everyone else. So I’m just wondering if it’s like a thing or not, you know?” Y/n chose to finally make eye contact with Leo and was met with his adorably awkward, blushing face.

“I’m going to be totally honest with you I assumed you just thought I was being weird.” He sunk his head down a little, tensing at the topic of conversation. Y/n smiled and shook her head in disbelief.

“Leo you’re like the most amazing person I know. Also, I’m not gonna lie, I thought it was pretty cute how you were acting the whole night.” She blushed and look down to the side again. Leo was once again overcome with surprise but tried his best to keep it together.

“You thought, oh. I think your pretty cute too uh not just in that costume but in general like I think your super pretty every day, all the time.” He laughed nervously and gave Y/n an adoring look.

“Ok I’m just going to say it because I think it’s super obvious at this point.” Y/n took a deep breath to try and calm down. “I’ve already practically said it but I like you. And I mean that in a more than friends way.” She confessed.

“Thank god, because I like you as so much more than a friend.” Leo sighed. Y/n smiled and decided to lean in, whispering something in his ear. Leo quickly perked up and his entire face turned pink.

“Heh.”

Leo smiled nervously as he walked back towards a corner of the room, Y/n following.

“You know I’m not really used to this kind of thing so I don’t know-“

He didn’t even get a complete sentence out before Y/n began to kiss him. They kissed again as she wrapped her arms around his neck and slightly pushed him further back. They went for another kiss and another before they both pulled away and Leo sighed.

“I love being a turtle.”

They both smiled and quickly went back to their make-out session. Best party ever.

What no one noticed though was the mysterious figure hidden on the side of a building facing the party. They were dressed in purple and black with a mask covering their entire face, yellow buggish eyes that looked almost like goggles, a long bandana wrapped around their head and the symbol of a red foot displayed clearly on the front of their outfit.

“I’ve located the turtles, and it looks like they’ve already made some friends.”

I'm surprised Ballerina!Reader didn't start yelling authoritatively in whatever language their ballet teacher spoke (probably Russian) when they got kidnapped.

Lol why can I pictured that scene so perfectly in my head though?🤣 In all honesty, I imagine their teacher would probably speak more English rather than a foreign language but, given all the terminology they’d have learnt over the years, it wouldn’t be surprising if they’ve picked up some French along the way. I imagine it would go something like this:

BALLERINA!READER: *tied high up in a warehouse* GET ME DOWN FORM HERE YOU CRIMINALS!

Ok, I had no idea if that post was going to get out there but it did so that’ll you guys! I have 3 other request to work on at the moment and I love them all so thank you, keep it coming! I tried to stick to clichés mostly as I really wasn’t sure how to write this but I hope I did well so please, enjoy!

You and Mikey first met in dance

It seemed like a fun elective and most of his improv friends were doing it so he figured, why not?

Upon entering the classroom, you were one of the first people he noticed

You were just sitting there, doing some personal stretches before warm-up, and all he could think was

“Damn, that girl can bend like spaghetti! Or pizza I guess. Mmmm I love pizza. Shoot, now I’m craving pizza! With a golden crust and gooey, delicious cheese…”

“Mikey! We’re about to start dude.” He was so deep into his own thoughts his friend had to snap him out of it. Wouldn’t be the first time either

“Oh yeah totally, I’ll be right there.” And as he moved to go find a spot, he couldn’t help but notice you gazing over in his direction. Interesting… very interesting

As time went by he kept being drawn to you. He noticed you in the halls, at lunch, but most of the time he’d be caught looking over at you during dance

Eventually, the class had to split into groups and each work on a group piece to present. Turns out, you guys had quite a few mutual friends and ended up being dragged into the same group together

Mikey, ever the extrovert, immediately took the opportunity to introduce himself and you guys got to talking

He found out you were mainly there to do ballet. Also contemporary (as that was the main focus of the class) but mainly ballet

Also apparently the school has a dance team, sick!

He did get to hear all about the ballet classes you take out of school and all the pain joy that rehearsal brings

In all honesty, you love it, it just requires a lot of physical strength

From that day onwards, you guys kept talking and hanging in class, then out of class, then out of school

It was awesome and Mikey couldn’t be happier, he had found a new close friend

As you two hung out more, some feelings started to grow

Nothing really changed much but close contact like high-fives and hugs became increasingly heart-racing

Even sitting next to each other was enough to raise your heart rates

Also villains might of seen you two hanging out every now and then so there may have been some kidnappery that left you in need of saving

But it’s fine, you’re fine

Everything’s fine

It was actually after one of those daring rescues that he finally asked you out, after an attack on the school

He had originally planned to do a dance with your friends and make it a big gesture

But after that fight, he didn’t want to take any chances and possibly leave it too late

So, once everyone was safe and everything, he immediately ran to you

Y/n! Are you hurt or anything? Don’t worry Mikey, I’m fine. Okay cos I kind of have something to ask you. Sure, what is it? Will you go out with me?

He said it, straight up just like that

You said yes, obviously, but it wasn’t your answer he was super worried about

He just wanted the chance to let you know how he felt

And so, you two were quickly recognised as a couple around school

A theatre kid and a ballet kid, two performers each with unique styles that somehow mixed perfectly

Now, you had known who Mikey and his brothers were long before you two even first talked

I mean, the whole school knew about them; it wasn’t any big secret

But you’d never really talked to them in-person before not until they started teasing Mikey about his crush on you

Then they had to help save you and from there friendship was inevitable

Seriously, you can’t just ignore someone after they’ve helped save you… multiple times

And believe me, it doesn’t matter that you two were dating now, they still loved teasing Mikey about it

So sometimes you had to take extra measures to ensure payback was efficient

But don’t worry they still have their shells on, for now

However, there was one close friend of Mikey’s whom you struggled to get comfortable with

April

While I hate to say it, you and April didn’t get along easily

Being a ballet kid sometimes came with a bad rep and for someone like April, who had been picked on by so many people (including the ballet kids), trust wasn’t always easy to instil in others

You did manage to become friends though. Yes, some of the ballet people you hung out with weren’t the best and yes, you may have laughed along with their cruel jokes to try and fit in but that was the past

Also, surprisingly, April is super forgiving and chill so everything’s good between you two now

As for how you and Mikey are as an actual couple, well…

There’s running through halls

MIKEY, DROP THE GLITTER BOMB! But Donnie made it just for meeee! That doesn’t-no-stop-get back here you turd! TURD!? What kind of an insult is that! Mikey! Catch me if you can!

Crying to movies

Why’d they have to kill the dog! I don’t know. I loved that little guy. *sniffle* I-I know *simultaneous sobbing*

Mikey teaching you improv

So the idea is we go around in a circle and keep a steady rhythm. And you keep that rhythm by using hand gestures and yelling ‘wah’? Exactly! Ok… just wondering, how does this relate to improv? I don’t know. I guess it’s cos it makes you think on the spot. Right.

And you teaching Mikey ballet

Come on, stretch! Ahhh! Stretch! I-I can’t! Yes you can! Now STRETCH! Aaaoooww!!!

Oh, and sometimes you have to be a bit strict with him

Mikey loves chaos and has been raised on it but you’ve been taught to follow the rules so much that not doing so almost seems terrifying

So if, on the odd occasion, Mikey is trying to hide something from you it’s ok

He’s not cheating, just breaking the law

He loves attending your concerts and follows no laws of theatre etiquette which can be embarrassing but also adorable

You, on the other hand, found it almost life-changing to go to one of Mikey’s improv nights

The audience interaction and goofy scenes made it all so thrilling and exciting

And while you do have friends who had been doing improv for ages, you’d never actually attended one of the shows before

But your bf is the exception, forever and always

You still haven’t met his dad as you refuse to enter the sewers and Splinter still struggles with coming out in broad daylight

And your parents are yet to hear of your relationship as you have no idea how they’d feel about you dating a mutant turtle

They do, of course, know of your friendship but perhaps you’ll wait a bit before breaking the news that it’s a little more now

And the shots they’d make you take just for kissing him, the thought is draining

Besides, it can’t be that dangerous to kiss a turtle… can it?

They know of you but you are yet to meet, you’ll talk eventually though

Overall, your relationship is messy, chaotic, thrilling and partially secretive

But it feels right

Nightly Walk

2012!Donnie x Fem!Reader

Sorry this took me a while to finish. I was working on it and then school came back and I’ve been so focused on everything that I barely had any time to work on it. But, I finally finished it so here it is!

Y/n had known the turtles for years. She met them when she was six, began training when she was eight and became an official kunoichi by the time she was about twelve.

The day her sister and father, April and Kirby, happened to meet the turtles as well was a complete accident and certainly not how she imagined it happening but that’s how it went nonetheless.

Ever since she’s been fighting alongside the turtles, training with Master Splinter and assisting her sister in becoming a fully-fledged kunoichi just as she is.

There’s one thing missing from this story though, a crucial piece of information. See, through all her years of knowing the turtles Y/n could never imagine falling for any of them. They were her secret family, her brothers.

But the day she and her family got captured, the day her two worlds collided, was also the day she found herself in Donnie’s arms, looking into his eyes as he held her close while Kraang droids fired from all angles. That was the day she fell for him.

And oh did she fall hard. From that day onwards Y/n was completely infatuated with Donnie and little did she know he felt the exact same.

Unfortunately, there was no subtlety granted for either of the two with their overwhelming feelings. They constantly ended up outing themselves to each other.

Like that time Y/n answered the phone after fighting off a tonne of foot soldiers to try and save April from Karai.

“Hey Donnie!”

“Y/n, you’re ok! You hear that guys? My sweet princess is alive! Did I mute that?”

Upon hearing him, Y/n dropped to the ground with heart eyes leading to April quickly grabbing the phone and responding.

“Just imagine you did.”

Or the time Donnie saved Y/n and April’s dad and she ran to hug him.

“I love you Donnie!”

“Y-you do?”

“As a friend! I love you as a friend.”

“Uh yeah totally, the friendliest.”

And then there was the time they almost kissed.

“You’re not just a mutant, Donnie. You mean more to me than anyone in the world.”

“And you mean the world to me.”

The two stared into each others eyes in a close embrace, faces no more than an inch apart. Donnie had decided to just go for it and leaned in when-

“Yo! What type of pizza do you guys want? I got extra cheesy pepperoni or sweet and sour gummy bears.”

You can imagine who that was. So, you would think that after all the catching and hugging and blushing and near kissing that the two would have some idea of how the other felt. Sadly, they both also happen to be the densest idiots in the entire universe.

The night started in the lair as Donnie grabbed his bō staff and prepared to leave. Upon seeing him walking towards the exit, Leo looked over and asked.

“Where are you going?”

“Off to see Y/n? Mwa mwa mwa!” Mikey teased, leaning over on the edge of the couch.

Donnie rolled his eyes in annoyance. “No, I’m going for an early patrol. Not everything in my life revolves around Y/n you know.”

“You say that, but then… you’re you.” Raph pointed out.

“We know you want to see her, her gorgeous hair, and sparkly eyes!” Mikey exaggerated with over the top gestures.

“I love her eyes.” Donnie sighed dreamily, giggling slightly as he leant against wall.

“See! You can admit it to us now you just gotta go and tell her.”

“Thanks for the advice Raph but I’m good; there’s this thing called social awareness though I doubt you have any of that in your system.” Donnie smirked with his brows raised, clearly trying to provoke his older brother.

Raph quickly pushed himself up off the couch and began storming towards him.

“Alright, if you’re so socially aware then read the room and tell me how long you think it’ll take for me have you de-shelled and crying on the floor?”

“Ok Raph, why don’t you go take a little breather?” Leo turned Raph around in an attempt to reason with him.

“Fine!” Raph whipped his head around and glared at Donnie. “But when you come back you better hope I’m asleep or else I swear-“

“Bye Raph.” Leo smiled after shoving Raph into another room. He stood thoughtfully for a moment before looking back at Donnie.

“Donnie, has it ever occurred to you that Y/n might feel the same way you do?”

“Ha! That’s hilarious Leo, you should be a comedian.” Donnie began cracking up at the thought.

“Hey, comedy’s my thing!” Mikey stood up and pouted with his arms crossed.

“I’m serious!” Leo took a step forward. “Just think back on every interaction you’ve ever had and tell me she doesn’t like you.”

Donnie thought about it carefully. Now that he was looking at it, it really seemed like-

“Nope! I’d rather just play it safe.” He smiled nonchalantly.

Mikey and Leo collectively facepalmed. Why oh why did their poor purple brother have to be so smart and yet so dumb.

“Well, I’ll be out. Don’t go in my lab, don’t touch my stuff and stay out of me and Y/n’s business. What did I say?” Donnie gestured to them.

“Don’t go in your lab, don’t touch your stuff and stay out of you and Y/n’s business.” The other two turtles repeated. Their voices replicated that of a fist grade classroom.

“Great, I’ll see you later!” Donnie smiled and sent them a wave before walking out.

“You gonna text her?” Mikey asked.

“She already knows.” Leo replied quickly, pressing a button on his T-Phone.

“He’s just the best isnt he April?” Y/n smiled with her head in her hands.

“Yeah, Donnie’s great I guess.” April raised her eyebrow at Y/n’s actions. She knew she was down bad but man could it be tiring.

“But don’t you just feel like he’s the most incredible, smartest, coolest, kindest guy ever!” Y/n squeaked and spun around, holding her hands to her chest.

“No not really. But that’s probably because I’m not in love with him.”

“Well I wouldn’t say I’m in love I just admire him.”

April sent her a judging look.

“Well it’s not like you’re any better with Casey.” Y/n defended.

“Uh last I checked I’m not tracking his location and pretending to go on walks as an excuse to follow him.” April placed a hand on her hip and smugly looked at Y/n.

“Leo texted me, he’s going for an early patrol. I just want to make sure that he has some backup if he gets into trouble.” She argued in a futile attempt to defend herself.

“Whatever you say. Have fun but don’t expect me to bail you out when you’re stuck on a random street with no way home.” April laughed only half joking.

“You’re the worst!” Y/n called out as she walked out the door.

“Love you too!” April yelled back.

And so Y/n began her journey through the streets of NYC. Had she been a normal person this would’ve practically been a life sentence but Y/n was confident, if she could take on giant mutants and an army of robot soldiers she could handle New York at night.

She continued checking her phone, following the little dot that represented Donnie in hopes of seeing him jumping over roofs. In all honesty, Y/n understood that there was a creepy element to this, that it could be a little unsettling to follow your friend around at night, but there was more to it than just romantic feelings.

Y/n genuinely understood the dangers the turtles faced and didn’t want to imagine what could happen to Donnie if he was caught alone in the middle of the city. What if Tigerclaw got to him, or worse, the Shredder!?

Sometimes you need to do uncomfortable things for your friends and when your friends are mutant turtles being hunted down by every criminal and scientific operation running in the city, that tends to involve protectively watching over them to ensure their safety.

While caught up in her self-assuring thoughts, Y/n noticed Donnie’s tracker seemed to be right near her. She looked around quickly and saw him briefly jump over a building. Finally, she found him. However he seemed to be doing fine so there was no need to jump into any major fights at the moment. She chose to simply follow close behind and admire him from afar.

But as she kept walking Y/n soon noticed a familiar restaurant coming into view. Murikami’s! Since she had his location and there was no imminent threat, she figured it would be fine to quickly order some food before returning to her walk so she stepped inside.

Meanwhile, on Donnie’s side of the story, he hadn’t noticed Y/n at all. It wasn’t till he took a quick rest on a rooftop and saw someone heading into Murikami’s shop that he managed to get a look at her. Wow, she was so pretty, and brave, and she likes to take walks. He’d love to go on walks with her, hand in hand, talking about stuff… He began to feel a buzzing against his body and could hear his ringtone begin to play.

Donnie quickly pulled his phone out of his belt. Mikey! What did he want now? He frantically answered the call in hopes he wouldn’t be spotted on the roof. Thankfully he wasn’t but he did miss Y/n walking out of the restaurant and making her way to the fire escape of the same building he was standing on.

“Thanks Murikami-san.” Y/n thanked before making her way towards the door.

“Anytime Y/n-chan.” He returned her smile and began packing up for the night.

As Y/n made her way outside, she decided to take a small break from all the walking and standing and decided it would be best to relax on one of the rooftops.

She carefully made her way up the fire escape, unaware of the chaotic phone call occurring above.

“Yo Dee! Do you think you can pick me up some pizza while you’re out? I’m starving.” Mikey yelled into the phone.

“Ugggh, Mikey! I’m kind of busy right now, not the best time.” Donnie shouted back.

“Ok ok, jeez. I’ll ask April to get some.”

“Thank you.” Donnie sighed and switch off his phone after Mikey hung up. Unfortunately, when he looked over at Murikami’s shop Y/n was no where to be found. He let out a frustrated groan and turned around to go look for her somewhere else when…

“Ahh!”

He and Y/n bumped into each other, literally. The second they registered the situation they both began making excuses quickly to cover up the intentions of their separate outings. They were both talking over each other though, so neither could really understand what the other was saying anyway.

“Woah! Y/n! Y-you’re here! How’s it going? I was just going for an early patrol it’s nothing, why are you out here? Wait never mind, that’s stupid you’re obviously getting food. Not that I saw you ordering it or anything, I’m just guessing by the fact you’re holding it. Sorry if I’ve ruined your night or anything, I can stay if you want or leave. Whatever makes you feel better.”

“Donnie, hi! I didn’t realise you’d be up here, I was just going for a walk and figured I’d get something from Murikami’s before he closed up. I had no idea you were on this rooftop, genuinely, I haven’t checked the trackers all night! Sorry if anything got on you I should’ve been looking more carefully at where I was walking. I’m just being stupid tonight.”

As they both quieted down Y/n held up her bag of take-out and nervously smiled. “Want to split it?”

As the streets of New York buzzed with energy, Y/n and Donnie sat side-by-side on the edge of the building they were on, the bag of food finished and discarded to the side.

“No that was so embarrassing.” Y/n cringed and his her face in her hands.

“You want to talk embarrassing, try counting the amount of times my experiments have gone wrong.”

“Ok, but experimentation is important no matter the results. Either way you’re gaining new information.” Y/n pointed out. Donnie nodded his head in agreement.

“True, very true. Perhaps I should start testing how much garbage Mikey is willing to eat.”

“Now that would be a scientific discovery.” Y/n cheered and the two burst out laughing.

Y/n calmed herself before relaxing her body and resting her head on Donnie’s shoulder. Both went into a momentary internal panic and began to tense up. However, once Y/n looked up and examined Donnie’s red face she decided to roll with it and wrapped her hands around his arm, snuggling into his side.

They stayed in peaceful silence a moment longer before Y/n eventually decided to speak.

“You want to know a secret? I wasn’t actually just going on a walk tonight.” Donnie looked at her curiously as she continued. “In all honesty, I was kind of just following you to make sure you were ok.”

Donnie looked down in shock at her. She was following him? But he was following her!

“You know what’s funny, I wasn’t going on an early patrol either. I was actually going to check that you were safe.”

Y/n laughed and lifted her head up. “I guess we’re both liars then.”

“I guess we are.” Donnie agreed, gazing at her with lovesick eyes.

They began to eat closer to each other, inching bit by bit.

“Donnie…” Y/n was about to continue but as she looked up, she saw a ninja star flying towards them. “Look out!”

She pushed him down and the two scrambled to get away from danger.

“Footbots!” Donnie called out.

“What do they want with us!?” Y/n shouted.

“What do they not want with us!?” Donnie replied.

So yeahhh that night didn’t go too well for them. Thankfully, they were able to get rid of the footbots but then Bebop and Rocksteady showed up! Tigerclaw was apparently meant to also show alongside Rahzar and Fishface but it sounded like they had caught the others on patrol. Details, details! What’s important is that now Y/n and Donnie were on a new roof in a major struggle against two mutants that were somehow beating them… badly.

Donnie and Y/n had been fighting off Bebop and Rocksteady for some time now. They were doing well until Bebop managed to land a punch on Donnie, causing him to drop his staff and stumble back slightly. Rocksteady quickly grabbed Donnie from behind and began to squeez him tightly.

“Agh!” Donnie cried out in pain. Y/n stopped fighting Bebop for a moment and noticed his situation. She started running over to him but was pulled back by Bebop and was forced to watch instead.

“Why are you turtles so hard to break eh?” Rocksteady asked as he kept tightening his grip.

“Donnie! Hold on, I’ll get you out!” Y/n shouted but her words meant nothing as she was unable to move. Then she heard it, a crack and a scream. Her eyes watered and she broke down into tears.

“Please stop it, just let him go and leave.” Bebop loosened his grip slightly and frowned, almost feeling sympathy for her.

“Tell your bosses what you want just let him go.” Y/n begged, now on her knees. Rocksteady began to copy Bebop and started second guessing himself. They had done some horrible things but could they really kill this guy in front of his friend?

Donnie noticed Rocksteady’s looser grip and used the last of his strength to kick him away. “Hiya!”

Y/n copied his actions and picked Donnie’s bō staff off the ground which he grabbed as he took a defensive position next to her. They were prepared to fight a little more till they noticed the two villains were both in tears.

“We’ll leave you guys alone, ok? We’re sorry!” Bebop cried.

“Uh what?” Y/n raised her eyebrow and moved to stand normally.

“Man, why y’all gotta be so emotional? Like damn!”

“We shall take our leave but do not expect this in the future.” Rocksteady pointed towards them as he began stepping back, ready to leave.

“Y-yeah you better not expect it, cause we’re not normally this nice… losers.” As Bebop finished, they both ran away presumably back Shredder’s lair.

“Well that was odd.” Y/n commented.

“Yea-argh!” Donnie held a hand over his shell in pain.

“Oh no, Donnie!” Y/n turned to him.

“I’m fine.” Donnie stuck his hand up and attempted to stand properly but quickly fell out of balance. Y/n ran to catch him and pulled him forwards before he landed on the pavement. She began to feel his shell and noticed a crack. “We’ll get you patched up at the lair, ok?”

“Yeah.” Donnie responded. The two stood there, holding each other for a brief moment to allow their heart rates to go down a bit.

“I can’t believe you almost died.” Y/n breathed out.

“Just part of the routine at this point.” Donnie shrugged it off but Y/n pulled him closer.

“No, no but this time you really could’ve died. Like actually died right in front of me.”

“Yeah but-“

“And it wasn’t like the other times.” Y/n turned to face him with a stern look. “I know when you guys are able to get out of tough situations, I’ve seen it a million times, but this was different.”

“Y/n-” he attempted to look away but she grabbed his head and forced him to meet her eye-to-eye.

“I care about you Donnie and that was scary. Like really scary.”

Donnie frowned and lowered Y/n’s right wrist with his left hand. She smiled, tearfully.

“I need you, you mean more to me than anyone in the world.” Donnie returned her expression.

“And you mean the world to me.” The two then finally, finally, leaned in and kissed. They still had a lot more to deal with but for now, they were happy.

I was finally able to watch the new tmnt series yesterday and while I was disappointed slightly (I was hoping Bishop was going to be an utrom with her mechazoids actually being krangdroids) I also absolutely LOVED IT! Also, the fact that Pigeon Pete is back and voiced by Christopher Mintz-Plasse just made my day. Sorry if anyone hasn’t seen it yet, I feel like I’m just spoiling everything but it was just too good. It feels like the perfect mix of rise and 2012, they have all the original characters and names but with their own twists and genderbends. And they all looked so cuuuuuteee!!! So please, please, I am begging u guys. Send in requests for the new series because I need an excuse to write about these adorable little guys. Rise!Donnie x Gn!Reader

This isn’t a request or part of anything bigger, just a happy oneshot to brighten your mood. Enjoy!

It was saturday which meant that April and Y/n were able to spend the day at the lair with their favourite turtle brothers. Donnie had been tinkering with some new gadget whatcha-ma-who, Mikey was reading through a new cookbook April brought him, Leo and Raph were caught up in a competitive video game while April and Y/n found themselves wrapped up in their phones. As for Splinter you may ask? He had some “important errands to run” whatever that meant.

Something that caught Aprils eye though was the focused expression on Y/n’s face and the consistent scrolling on their phone. Something was up.

“You ok Y/n?” She turned to face them. Y/n paused what they were doing and quickly tried to cover up the truth.

“Uh yep! Totally fine, there’s nothing going on at least not with me at the moment.” They flashed a bright toothy smile that couldn’t have seemed more fake, prompting Mikey to speak up from his book.

“Hmm I’m no expert, well maybe I am, but you don’t seem fine.” Leo looked over his shoulder towards the conversation.

“You can tell us if something’s bothering you.” Suddenly a loud crashing noise came from the game as Raph held his arms up in victory.

“Ha, yes! Suck it Leo!”

“Wha- no!” Leo dramatically called out after turning back to the screen. Donnie sighed and rolled his eyes at the sight.

“Dumb dumbs.” He muttered under his breath before looking over at Y/n.

“Look Y/n, we know you and you know us and knowing you there’s definitely something wrong so I highly recommend telling us what it is before Mikey and April try to force it out of you.”

“Mikey and April aren’t going to-“ Y/n cut themself off seeing the demonic looks on April and Mikey’s faces directed at them.

“Okay, okay I’ll come clean!” They shouted. “I have… *sigh* a date.”

“A date?” April looked at them.

“A date!?” Mikey, Leo and Raph all simultaneously spoke.

“A date…” Donnie reluctantly spoke out, feeling a sense of disappointment wash over him. No that wasn’t quite it, perhaps animosity?

“Oh ho Y/n pulling all the guys, or girls o-or- who are you going out with exactly?” Leo asked.

“Just some guy from school, his name’s Melvin.” Y/n explained. “He’s sweet and I think he really likes me.”

“But do you like him?” Mikey questioned, leaning in close towards them. Almost like an interrogation.

“Well yeah, I mean why else would I go out with him?”

“Hmmm.” Mikey stroked his chin consciously. “Fair point.” He backed away to a more comfortable distance.

“I’m just kind of nervous since it’s my first ever date and I don’t exactly want to make a bad impression.” April perked up at Y/n’s words and quickly grabbed their hand.

“Well if it’s help you need, then it’s help you’ll get. Bye boys we’ll be back in an hour!” April cheered and pulled Y/n off to her house. The brothers sat staring silently at where April and Y/n had been seconds ago.

“Uh, bye.” Raph spoke to no one now that they were gone.

At April’s house, Y/n was trying on different outfits while they talked.

“Look Y/n, I’m happy you got this date and all but I’m confused, I thought you liked Donnie?” Y/n hesitated as they came out in their next outfit of choice.

“I… I do but I’ve decided that it might be time to move on.”

“Move on!?” This sent April into an internal panic. She knew Donnie liked Y/n and Y/n liked Donnie. If they moved on then the two might miss out on what could have been something incredible for both of them. Not to mention Donnie would be heartbroken!

“Yeah.” Y/n continued. “It’s just that I’ve liked him for years now. Since we were what, eight? And he hasn’t shown any signs of liking me back, at least none that I’ve noticed.”

“Well you never know, maybe he’s just worried that you won’t feel the same way about him.” April suggested in hopes of sending Y/n some hints.

“Maybe. But I just can’t help but feel as though I’m hanging on to something that’s never going to happen. That if I keep holding on to it I’ll continue miss out on other opportunities. I want to be able to have something with someone and I have to accept that that someone might not be Donnie.” Y/n sadly explained. Truthfully, they didn’t want to let their feelings for Donnie go but it was the healthy thing to do.

“That’s really mature of you Y/n.” April smiled sadly. She might not have wanted Y/n to let Donnie go however she couldn’t help but be proud of her younger friend.

“On a more positive note, what do we think of this? I was kind of going for casual but pretty and well done.” Y/n turned to show off different angles of the outfit to April.

“Girl you look gorgeous; anyone would grateful to get to see you tonight.” April hyped them up and the two excitedly hugged.

Back at the lair things weren’t going as great. Leo, Raph and Mikey knew of their brother’s long term feelings for Y/n and were struggling to find an appropriate way to console him.

“H-hey think about it this way, if it goes badly then you’ll be able to get closer to Y/n by comforting them.” Leo suggested, immediately receiving a smack on the back of his head from Raph.

“Leo are you suggesting I take advantage of Y/n’s emotional state and manipulate them into liking me by providing a source of comfort purely for my own personal gain?” Donnie frowned.

“Uh yes?” Leo hesitantly confirmed.

“Oh for the love of science, I’m looking for advice here Leo. I want to be supportive not narcissistic and callous!” Mikey quickly pushed Leo to the side in a futile attempt to save what little chance they had left of helping their brother.

“Don’t worry D. Look, everyone deals with all sorts of emotions from time to time and jealousy is an extremely common-“

“I’m not jealous.” Donnie cut Mikey off. The younger turtle sighed.

“Right. Well if you want to be able to be supportive of Y/n and not feel any resentment towards their arrangement then it might be time to… let those feelings go.” All three brothers exchanged nervous glances, unsure of how Donnie would react.

“You know what.” He spoke up. “You’re right, you are absolutely right. This has gone on for far too long and it’s time I moved on.”

“Wait seriously?” Raph raised an eyebrow at Donnie’s response. Unbelieving that he would be accepting so quickly.

“Yes seriously. From now on my feelings for Y/n are no more and nothing is going to change that.” Donnie turned around in pride only for his heart to stop at the sight. April and Y/n had finally returned and boy did Y/n look ever so gorgeous. “Sweet Galileo.” He whispered as his pupils shrunk.

“Hey boys we’re back!” April cheered as she and Y/n walked closer.

“Looking good Y/n.” Leo called out.

“You’re gonna own tonight.” Mikey cheered.

“And if he even thinks of laying a hand on you! Just call us, we’ll take care of it no problem.” Raph smiled brightly to cover up his protectiveness.

“Aww you guys are too kind. We do have to leave soon, again, but we just wanted to pop down to get a final verdict on the outfit. It seems you three like it, Donnie?” He turned to face Y/n who was now looking over in his direction. “What do you think?” He looked at them for a moment in contemplation before sighing and smiling warmly.

“You look… absolutely stunning. He’s a really lucky guy.” Y/n returned his look with a genuine smile.

“Thanks that means a lot coming from you.” They smiled bashfully at the ground, their cheeks turning red. The moment was cut short when Y/n noticed the time on their watch and went back to stressing.

“Ooh well it looks like it’s time to head off; I’ll let you guys know how it goes. Shall we?” Y/n smiled at April.

“We shall.” April nodded her head.

“Bye Y/n! Make good choices!” April called out to Y/n who was now walking away with their date.

“I will!” Y/n smiled and laughed at Aprils enthusiasm. Melvin turned to face them.

“Your friend seems very eccentric.” He gave a toothy smile.

“She sure is.” Y/n agreed as the two walked away. Something odd caught April’s eye though. She noticed with the glint in his teeth how the boy looked almost like he had fangs. Her eyes quickly moved to examine Melvin once more before he disappeared from her vision and what she saw caused her to gasp in fear.

Under the boys large coat was the very end of a tail sticking out. Whatever he was, he certainly wasn’t human and the fact that he was hiding it couldn’t mean anything good.

She quickly dashed away, heading down the streets of NYC to find the nearest manhole.

“Boys, we have a problem!”

The turtle brothers looked over at April who had quickly run into the lair.

“And that would be?” Leo asked, looking around carelessly.

“I think Y/n’s date might be a mutant.”

“No!” Raph called out as the boys shrieked in fear.

“Or a Yōkai.” April continued.

“Gasp!” Donnie shouted as the brothers let out an even more panicked reaction.

“Or even some sort of alien-type monster!”

“Oh my god!” Mikey cried, holding his head in his hands as they all pulled the most horrified looks they possibly could.

“Wait, wait, wait. What makes you think he (Maaa, Mor, M-Melvin was it?) could be any of those things?” Leo asked prompting the others to look to April for an answer.

“He had a tail and fangs. He was also clearly trying to hide it and I don’t know about you guys but whenever someone’s trying to hide that they’re a non-human creature I don’t usually take it as a good sign.”

Mikey frowned for a moment before looking back at April.

“But Y/n was so excited about this date. We can’t just go and ruin it now.”

“Yeah, I mean, and besides what if you’re wrong and the guy’s perfectly normal?” Raph had a good point, it was entirely possible this person wanted to cause no harm.

“Well if you guys don’t believe me then come see for yourselves. We won’t interrupt them, just take a good look at the guy because I am positive there is no way he’s human.” April suggested, she hoped they would agree because at this stage she couldn’t take on a whole mutant by herself even with Y/n’s assistance.

“If what you’re proposing is true, and I’m not saying it is, then I suppose it makes sense to go and check it out.” Donnie agreed, of course he did. Truthfully he was just taking this as an excuse to see how the two were going. How much Y/n liked him, if he was treating them right, how close they had gotten.

April sighed with relief that they had all agreed. She knew it was unlikely but somewhere deep down she hoped this guy wasn’t a threat. Hopefully, somehow, maybe Raph was right and he was totally harmless… hopefully.

As for Y/n, they were blissfully unawhere of any danger and were currently enjoying their romantic night.

“So do you have any hobbies?” They asked in hopes of getting to know more about Melvin.

“Oh nothing much, mainly artistry and a bit of sport. I was actually enlisted by this club to go and recruit new members for them.”

“Oh that sounds cool.” Y/n perked up. They didn’t want to give the impression they were overly interested but were curious about this ‘club��� nonetheless.

“Yeah it’s like a fighting arena type thing.” The guy went on. “It wasn’t easy but I guess they saw potential in me.”

“I guess they did.” Y/n smiled. They then looked around noticing how their surroundings had drastically changed from the rows of grey concrete buildings to a beautiful lush green park “This is my favourite part of the city! How did you know?”

“Lucky guess?” Melvin smiled and shrugged causing Y/n to laugh cheerfully and pull him along.

“Come on, let’s go!”

Unknown by the two teens, behind them were April and the turtles huddled tightly in a bush to discreetly watch them.

“Ugh I can’t see!” Leo whined in a hushed voice while trying to push Raph to the side.

“Then look harder. Don’t try to push me out, you’ll blow our cover!” Raph whispered back. Leo kept shoving around and pushed Donnie causing his goggles to fall on his head.

“Now I can’t see! What’s going on? Are they talking, have they kissed?”

“SHUT UP DONNIE!” The other four yelled before quickly hiding back in the bush in hopes they hadn’t made their presence known.

“Did you hear something?” Y/n asked, curiously turning around to see where the noise had come from.

“I didn’t hear anything” Melvin shrugged, his smile taking on an unnerving tone.

In the bush, Leo was still bickering with Raph. April was shoving Donnie to the side as he was being pushed into her by the force of Raph and Leo’s back-and-forth shoves. Poor Mikey was stuck nervously at the edge of the bush, watching Y/n and Melvin talk as he struggled to avoid exposing himself.

“Can you two please stop, that it is very annoying!” Donnie complained to his fighting brothers. Soon enough he managed to get enough space to move his goggles efficiently. He began to lift them up back to the designated spot on top of his head.

“Finally I can see what’s going on and- wait!” He stopped when he saw something curious as they passed over his eyes. He properly positioned them so he could see through them and began to inspect the scene in front of them.

“Uh guys, April may have been right.”

The two brothers stopped fighting and Mikey sighed in relief as he was one toe away from falling out.

“What are you talking about?” Raph asked.

“I can’t believe I didn’t think of checking sooner but this Melvin guy is radiating a lot of mystic energy.” Donnie spoke as he adjusted his goggles.

“Ha! I told you all!” April cheered and pointed at the brothers in victory. “Wait…” she then came to the realisation. “That’s not good, Y/n’s in danger! Code red, code red!”

“We don’t even have a code red!” Leo pointed out, exasperated.

“Ooh this is bad, what are we gonna do!?” Mikey panicked.

“What do you mean, ‘what are we gonna do’? I’ll tell you what we’re going to do, we’re going to go out there and kick some mystic butt!” Raph punched the palm of his hand. April and the three younger brothers all nodded their heads in sync.

Y/n and Melvin continued to walk around in the same spot for a while, still asking each other different questions.

“Uh what kind of friends do you have?” Melvin asked in an overly cheery tone.

“Well I’m fairly close with my best friend April and I have these four friends who I’ve known for quite sometime now.” Y/n answered blindly.

“Wow, they sound interesting. Tell me more about these friends.”

“Ok?” Y/n agreed in a questioning matter. “They’re brothers and each kind of have their own thing which is one of the things I really like about them. The oldest is super tough and strong, the youngest is an amazing chef and incredibly cheerful, the second oldest is very flamboyant and his slightly younger brother, who we call his twin but isn’t actually his twin, is the smarts of the group.”

“Exciting!” Melvin commented. They must make great fighters.”

“Yeah…” Y/n trailed off. “Wait how did you make that connection?”

Melvin began to darkly chuckle. “You know I really didn’t expect it to be this easy.”

Y/n started slowly backing away. “Mel you’re kinda freaking me out here.”

“I mean capturing four superpowered mutants, now how was I meant to do that?” He smiled.

“Mutants!? Melvin what are you talking abou-“

“But then it hit me. I didn’t have to capture them, I only needed to capture you.”

Y/n quickly turned to run away but it was too late. Melvin had transformed into a beastly lizard yōkai and grabbed them before they could get away.

“Ugh no, help!” They tried to reach their phone but their arms were pressed tightly up against their sides. Just as they were ready to attempt an escape four figures jumped from behind a bush and landed infront of the towering Melvin.

“Let her go you scaly monster!” Raph demanded.

“Yeah, or else we’ll have to go full Lou Jitsu on you!” Mikey shouted while getting into a fighting pose.

“How dare you capture our beautiful beloved friend and mess with their feelings!” Donnie stated, preparing his tech-bō for battle.

“Is your name even Melvin!?” Leo pointed an accusatory finger towards him.

“Actually no, feel free to call me Nivlem!”

“Nivlem. Your real name is just your fake name flipped around?” Leo challenged.

“Uh yeah, what’s wrong with that?” Melvin asked.

“I don’t know it just seems a little basic.” He shrugged.

“W-well what are your other villains called? You know what, never mind I’ll just change it to something cooler like… The Destructor!”

“Mmm no.” Leo shook his head.

“Ooh I know!” Mikey pitched in. “How about… The Destructinator!”

“Now that is a cool villain name!” Leo smiled.

“Whatever, you guys are losers! Now, I’ll make this nice and easy for you; turn yourselves into Big Mama or else I’ll crush the bones of your friend till there’s nothing left to break.” The Destructinator threatened, squeezing Y/n tightly enough to cause them discomfort but not enough to severely injure them yet.

The brothers stood still in silent fear for their friend. If they were to so much as make a move to fight then Y/n would be crushed but turning themselves into Big Mama wasn’t exactly an ideal option either.

Y/n managed to squeeze themself out of The Destructinator’s grip just enough to cough out a sentence. “So let me guess, that fight club you recruit for is actually the Battle Nexus?”

“Uh yeah, I figured that would be obvious by now.” He replied, squeezing Y/n back into place much to the panic of the four turtles. Their face-off was soon broken when a loud yell came from behind and April smacked The Destructinator harshly in the side of the head with her bat. He stumbled and dropped Y/n who was thankfully caught by Donnie in the nick of time.

“Thanks Donnie, thought I was goner there for a second.” They looked up at Donnie causing him to blush and avoid their gaze.

“Well it was nothing, just making sure my friend doesn’t turn into a pancake.” He let them down as they turned back to April who ran up to give them a hug.

“Oh thank goodness you’re ok. When that guy comes to his senses I’m going to smack the life out of him!” She announce while fiercely tapping her bat into the palm of her hand.

“Thanks April.” Y/n smiled. “Wait what were you guys doing here anyway I thought you were all back at the lair!?” They asked.

“Well yeah about that you see-“ Leo began with the intent of covering up with a lie.

“April said she saw something weird about your date so we followed you here and watched you two to see if he was dangerous!” Mikey blurted out.

“So you stalked me?” Y/n questioned.

“Uh yeah. But only with good intentions.” Raph replied.

“And it worked out cause if we hadn’t you’d most likely be a prisoner of Big Mama.” April defended to try and make out the situation in a positive light.

“Don’t worry I’m not mad, just be glad you were right or else I’d be livid.” Y/n reassured them.

The Destructinator began to finally wake up and rubbed the side of his head April had hit.

“Ouch, that really hurt!” He took note that Y/n was with the turtles safely and growled. “Fine, if you won’t turn yourselves in then I’ll do it for you.”

The Destructinator then charged forward and smashed his fist on the ground, separating the group. April, now on the ground with her hands supporting her weight, gripped her bat and stood up with a fire in her eyes.

“Oh that’s it!” She took the opportunity while his hand was on the ground to run up his arm. April attempted to swing her bat at his head again but was stopped by his other hand and thrown against a tree.

“Hey Destructinator!” Mikey wrapped the chain of his kusari-fundo around The Destructinator’s wrist. “Take this!” He attempted to pull him down but was instead thrown into the air and fell smack on the ground. “Ouchie.”

Leo decided to antagonise the lizard yōkai by running behind him and cheerfully calling.

“Yoo hoo, Destructinator!” The Destructinator turned around and rapidly began throwing punches all of which Leo dodged in a glamorous manner. It was when he chose to close his eyes and start bragging “Ha! Can’t touch Neon Leon.” that The Destructinator was able to land a punch and send him flying.

He turned around and spotted Y/n, picking them up once more as they struggled against his grip.

“I warned you, now time to suffer the consequences.” He prepared to crush them to bits until Donnie shouted.

“Hey, hands off you overgrown lacertilia!” He held his tech-bō sturdily as a giant missile formed at the back. He ran forward and smashed it directly in The Destructinator’s face causing him to wobble backwards.

Y/n noticed his grip loosen and freed herself, sliding down the lizard and running off to Donnie’s side.

Once it stopped hurting The Destructinator took his hand off his face and stared down at Donnie in rage.

“Why you little-“

“Hey!” Raph yelled out, directing The Destructinator’s attention to him. “Pick on someone your own size!” He then used his powers to form his bigger body which towered over the lizard. “Or a little bigger.” He smirked and lifted up The Destructinator with both of his hands, yelled “Hot Soup!” before slamming him into the ground.

The Destructinator began coughing and clearing dust out of his eyes till he noticed Y/n standing off bedside some trees.

Upon noticing his stare they ran and he quickly stood, taking chase.

“Hey, get back here!”

What he didn’t see was Y/n smiling and looking back at him before passing another tree. As he went to do the same, April jumped out and smacked him in the face with her bat.

He held his head in pain before being twisted around by Mikey’s kusari-fundo and spun around again when being quickly released.

As The Destructinator teetered on one foot in his dizzy state; Leo opened a portal beside him and pushed him in, leaning over the edge while the yōkai fell to yell out.

“Tell Big Mama we said hi!”

He stood back and finally closed the portal causing everyone to cheer.

Donnie looked towards Y/n and quickly ran to them, holding their shoulders.

“Are you ok, did he hurt you badly?”

“I’m fine Donnie.” They placed their hands on his shoulders in return. He quickly hugged them tightly which caught Y/n off guard as he isn’t known for being a hugger. But instead of questioning it they embraced the hug and enjoyed it while it lasted.

Sadly that wasn’t very long as the others began gathering around them. The two separated and April swung an arm around Y/n’s shoulders.

“From now on I’m interrogating all your dates.”

“Haha.” Y/n let out a dry laugh. “Please tell me you’re joking.”

“Nope!” April smiled and everyone burst into laughter as they began walking home.

The day ended with Y/n in Donnie’s lab, leaning on the back of a chair while scrolling on their phone as he carefully worked on repairing a broken piece of equipment.

“I’m sorry about your date Y/n.”

“It’s fine. Besides I’m not really counting this one since it sucked and didn’t actually end up being a date at all.”

He looked over to them relaxing and felt a wave of concern at how peaceful they were, perhaps they were in denial?

“Apologies for my skepticism but you seem rather happy for someone who was nearly killed by a mutant lizard pretending to be their date.” He fully turned his chair in their direction this time, giving them his full attention.

“Well I guess maybe it’s because I didn’t actually like Melvin that much, or The Destructinator I suppose.” They looked up from their phone in deep thought.

“So if you didn’t really like him then why agree to go out with him?”

“Desperation maybe? I think a part of me just felt a bit crushed and was looking for something to hide my feelings.”

“Your feelings?” Donnie questioned, wanting to push further on the conversation.

“It’s nothing just a guy, a different one, one I actually do like but I don’t think he likes me back.” Y/n cringed, scrunching up into a smaller ball as they reflected on the situation.

“And who might this other guy be?” Donnie frowned, feeling like the weight in his chest had just been replaced by a heavier one.

“He’s a very special person, I’ve known him for a while now and liked him for the best part of I don’t know how many years.” They looked at the roof to try and recall how long it had been.

“Oh.” He replied, heart sinking further into the ground.

“He has a funny personality and can be so smart but so dumb at the same time. April thinks he likes me but I’m still set on the fact that he doesn’t and probably never will.”

As Donnie kept putting the pieces together he gathered an idea in his mind. Someone smart and stupid whom Y/n had known for a long time and also had affiliations with April. He gasped.

“Leo!?”

“No it’s not Leo!” Y/n quickly shouted back.

“Is it Mikey!?”

“No Donnie it’s not any of your brothers!”

“Well then who else have you known for so long!?”

Y/n stopped for a moment, unsure how to proceed. They were tempted to tell him the truth, just get it over and done with, rip the Band-Aid off. But what would it mean for their friendship? What consequences would telling him bring? They made their choice and with a shaky breath quietly replied.

“You.”

Donnie’s heart stopped for a moment before he came to his senses. They liked him. They actually liked him! This mysterious guy he was planning on hunting down was him! He didn’t know that to do, dance, laugh, cry? Without thinking he shoved his chair forwards and pulled Y/n into a kiss. Their foreheads touched as the two leant in closer, both still in equal shock.

“Why would you think I don’t like you?” Donnie asked as he pulled away.

“I don’t know.” Y/n answered blankly. “Do you like me?”

“Yes you dumb dumb!” He laughed and the two kissed once more. Unfortunately for them it was cut short by the sound of a camera snapping. They looked towards the entrance only to see Leo’s head sticking out behind his phone.

“Oooh Pops is gonna looove this!” He cackled and ran away, waving his phone in the air.

“I’ll be right back.” Donnie frowned as he grabbed some gun-looking device off his bench and took chase screaming.

“Leo!”

Y/n laughed, watching him l run off, with their head leaning on one hand. As they smiled distractedly one thought filled their mind ‘He likes me!’

Okay so a while ago (like a year) I made an OC for Rise of the TMNT. I decided to redesign her a few months ago since I didn’t really like the original design and omg THE DIFFERENCE!

So after a week the results came in and it seems you guys want to have four separate y/n’s; I hope it doesn’t get too confusing for any of you while reading this. Just remember L/L is Leo’s lover/love interest, R/L is Raph’s lover/love interest, D/L is Donnie’s lover/love interest and M/L is Mikey’s lover/love interest. Apologies in advance, I didn’t want to waste a bunch of space explaining the kids in detail so they they have their own little individual descriptions which kind of cut into the story at the beginning.

All four of the readers will be given she/her pronouns. At their regular ages M/L is 14, the turtles and D/L are 15, April Casey and L/L are 16 and R/L is 16-17. Since I had also already pictured Raph’s kids as little turtle-lizard mutants, R/L is going to be an anthropomorphic lizard. I hope this is all ok. If you don’t like it then just read it different in your head.

2012 Turtles x Fem!Readers

New York City is destroyed. Every building has either been over and smashed or abandoned. The streets are quiet. A set of green legs can be seen running through followed by more pairs of running green legs with mixes of human legs. Some are small while others are much bigger. Bombs are being detonated behind the group of running people, gunshots can be heard in the distance as robots continue to fire in pursuit of them. R/L is holding a crying lizard-turtle baby, trying to calm it down.

R/L: Raphael I fear if we do not find a safe zone soon the children will pass out from running.

RAPH: She’s right Leo, you got a plan or what?

LEO: I’m trying to think! Donnie is there anything you have that could help us right now?

DONNIE: I don’t know Leo I-I can’t really think of anything right now!

The baby continues to cry, Mikey runs up next to R/L and talks to him.

MIKEY: Aww hey there little guy, don’t cry. We’re gonna totally find a place to hide in a minute and then we’ll get you all changed and fed okay?

The baby quiets down and let’s out a small noise, staring at Mikey.

MIKEY: See everything’s gonna be fine you’ll see.

A large piece of scrap metal gets blown forwards narrowly missing the group.

M/L: Antonio watch out!

M/L protectively grabs Antonio, an orange masked 11-year-old mutant turtle with some human aspects, as they both run.

M/L: Just stay close to me okay. I’m not losing you.

ANTONIO: Already on it mum.

D/L: Hey Mary, Mary?

Mary, 10 with a pink mask and also part turtle, is panting heavily and slowly falling behind. D/L yanks her onto her shoulders.

D/L: Get on here now, we can’t risk leaving you.

MARY: Thanks *wheeze* mum.

CASEY: You all good buddy?

Casey looks down to his son, a yellow-wearing 12-year-old, speeding on roller skates.

ALEX: Don’t worry dad I’m totally fine woah!

Alex begins to trip on his skates and struggles to remain balance.

SORA: Alex here!

Sora, a blue masked 11 year old who is also of mixed species with more prominent turtle traits, grabs his hand and keeps him balanced while they run.

ALEX: Thanks for the save Sora.

SORA: No worries.

APRIL: Are we nearly at a safe zone?

L/L: I hope so. Yoshi, are you still feeling right?

Yoshi, a green masked 12-year old who, unlike his sister, appears more human-like, catches his breath and looks up.

YOSHI: Better than I was before.

Amongst the group are 3 more turtle lizard children. 10-year-old twins, Harriet (with a light turquoise mask) and Ethan (in a dark turquoise mask), who appear more lizardy and their sister Athena who’s a year older, wearing red mask and looks more like a turtle.

HARRIET: I don’t *huff* think I can *puff* keep this up *huff* much *puff* longer *huff*.

ATHENA: Hey don’t say that, we got this just keep going. After everything we’ve been through there’s no way you can let this get to you.

ETHAN: But we’ve been running for hours now I know dad said there’d be a safe zone eventually but I’m not sure anymore.

Bridget, another 11-year-old turtle looking human hybrid (wearing a purple mask), runs up towards the front where the main 4 brothers are.

BRIDGET: Dad from what I can see there aren’t any safe zones anywhere around, are you sure we’ll be okay?

DONATELLO: I- yes. We’ll be fine Bridget just stay strong okay?

Bridget looks at the ground in worry. Donnie sends Leo a look.

LEO: There’s no way we can get to a safe zone is there.

Donnie shakes his head in dismay.

RAPH: Well then what are we gonna do? We can’t just give up.

MIKEY: Uh dudes the kids are starting to give in.

Leo thinks deeply for a moment.

LEO: We’ll have to fight.

MIKEY, DONNIE & RAPH: What!?

RAPH: Are you crazy!?

MIKEY: Dude there’s no way we can fight them off again!

DONNIE: You saw what happened last time we tried!

LEO: I know, I know but right now it’s our only hope. We’ll protect the kids for as long as we can.

RAPH: And if we fail?

LEO: Then we accept our fates.

BRIDGET: Wait dad?

DONNIE: Uh now might not be the best time dear we’re kind of busy.

BRIDGET: But it’s important.

The brothers share a look.

DONNIE: Alright what is it?

BRIDGET: You remember that project we were working on right? Do you still have it with you?

DONNIE: Oh no Bridget, we can’t use that thing it’s still in testing. I don’t even know if it works properly. We haven’t even tried sending something through.

BRIDGET: But in theory, if it works then it could save us right?

DONNIE: I suppose you’re correct.

LEO: What are you talking about Donnie.

DONNIE: Well, you see, back at the old safe zone Bridget and I were messing around with some gadgets thinking off possible designs for different machines to keep us busy when Bridget had an idea. She suggested trying to build a time machine.

RAPH: A time machine? Now you really have gone mad.

DONNIE: No I haven’t! Bridget helped me figure out the design and together we came up with a device that could possibly work but we got attacked before we could test it.

MIKEY: Wait didn’t we already meet a time travel lady like years ago?

RAPH: Oh yeah, Renet wasn’t it? Wonder what happened to her.

DONNIE: Well Mikey that’s exactly it we haven’t seen her in years so building a machine is logically the most reliable option here.

LEO: So what are you trying to say Donnie, what was Bridget thinking before?

DONNIE: She was implying that if we used the time machine to go back in time we could possibly alter the events that lead to this and save the future!

LEO: But you said it wasn’t tested yet?

DONNIE: It isn’t which is why using it comes at such a risk.

Another bomb sounds.

RAPH: So we either fight, run till we drop or risk our lives on one of Donnie’s genius inventions. Great!

LEO: Alright. Donnie, Bridget, if you think you can get that thing up and running then we’ll protect you guys while doing so. There isn’t much left so it’s now or never.

BRIDGET: Alright.

DONNIE: If you say so; are you sure about this Bridget?

BRIDGET: Like Uncle Leo said, it’s now or never.

LEO: Guys get up here!

APRIL: What is it Leo?

LEO: We might have a plan to escape these guys.

CASEY: You finally found a safe zone?

MIKEY: Nope, but if Donnie and Bridget can get their time travel thingy to work then we’ll all be saved!

D/L: Wait, time travel?

LEO: It’s a long shot but if we can protect them while they get the machine up and running then we might just be able to save ourselves and the rest of the world.

R/L: Are you sure this is the best course of action?

LEO: Positive.

APRIL: But what about the kids?

LEO: We’ll keep them safe too.

SORA: What? But dad, I can fight those guys too!

LEO: No way, not after last time.

Sora looks down.

LEO: *sighs* I need you to take your brother, Alex, your cousins and defend them with your life am I clear?

SORA: Yes dad.

HARRIET: I guess this is it.

ETHAN: I think I’m about to puke.

ATHENA: Don’t, just don’t.

MARY: Do you really think this could work?

BRIDGET: I hope so.

R/L: Here Yoshi, please keep baby safe.

YOSHI: You can count on me.

ALEX: Guys, they’re getting closer!

ANTONIO: I don’t want to die!

M/L: Antonio I need you to calm down. You’re not going to die, ok? Not on my watch.

L/L: Alright, I’m ready when you guys are.

LEO: Okay we got into combat in three…

The brothers ready their weapons.

LEO: Two…

The other adults prepare to fight.

LEO: One…

The kids look on nervously.

LEO: *Takes a deep breath* Go!

Mary hops of D/L’s shoulders and runs with the other kids. Bridget and Donnie get as far behind the others as possible, Donnie pulls out an odd looking watch and they begin to tinker with it.

The kids get into a group, Sora having her sword drawn and Yoshi holding the baby while Alex is holding a baseball bat. Athena is in a fighting stance with Harriet and Ethan behind her. Antonio and Mary are both clinging on to each other.

The adults have their weapons drawn in a wall to protect everyone behind them. They all let out battle cries and run in.

Leo deflects lasers with his katanas, D/L is bashing up whatever’s attacking them with her kanabō. April begins to show her fan at the enemy and Casey is whacking them away with his hockey stick. Raph and Mikey are both fighting side-by-side while M/L is using martial arts. L/L is attacking with Kakute, Shurikens and Kunais. Sora, Athena and Alex are fighting off the few enemies that made it to them while Yoshi is trying to keep the baby safe. Bridget and Donnie are still working with the watch, a few sparks fly about but they don’t focus on them. L/L is still fighting by herself until a gunshot hits her arm.

Y/N: Ah!

LEO: L/L!

SORA AND YOSHI: Mum!

L/L stops fighting and Leo runs to her. Mikey and Raph look over but refocus as an attack narrowly misses them.

APRIL: Guys look out!

April quickly jumps in and deflects another shot with her fan. She continues to protect them while Leo holds L/L. Sora is struggling to fight and Yoshi nearly drops the baby.

Athena looks over to where Harriet and Ethan are cowering together.

ATHENA: Guys, stop being cowards and fight!

The twins look at each other before determinedly moving out of position and helping to fight.

D/L: Donnie, Bridget, please tell me you’re nearly finished!

DONNIE: Almost done, we just have a few more things to adjust!

ANTONIO: Hey you, over there!

One of the robots looks over to Antonio who’s pointing at them.

ANTONIO: Have a taste of my fist!

Antonio begins to punch the enemy in the stomach over and over to no avail. He looks up and gulps before the robot punches him in the face and sends him flying.

M/L: Antonio!

ATHENA: No!

MIKEY: Wait M/L!

M/L gets kicked to the ground by another bot. Mikey runs over and picks up Antonio before going over to M/L.

ANTONIO: Dad, is mom okay?

MIKEY: You’ll be fine, we’ll be fine, everything’s fine!

RAPH: Donnie I swear to god!

DONNIE: I’m trying! Do you know how hard it is to manually formulate time travel!

Donnie stops when he hears Bridget sniff. He looks over to see she has tears in her eyes.

BRIDGET: Dad what if we can’t do it, what if the watch fails?

Donnie looks back at the scene behind them then at the watch and finally looks back to Bridget.

DONNIE: We’re gonna get this thing working if it’s the last thing I do!

Bridget looks at Donnie getting back to work and gives a firm nod before doing the same.

APRIL: Leo I know this is hard right now but you have to get back to fighting, I’ll protect L/L but we need you on the battlefield!

L/L: She’s right Leo, it’s only my arm I’ll be fine. The others need you.

LEO: Stay safe.

L/L: Always.

Leo stands up and keeps fighting off the robots.

MARY: I don’t want to do this anymore, I’m scared!

ATHENA: And you haven’t been scared this whole time?

MARY: Huh?

ATHENA: This has been going on for years. We’ve been running and fighting and hiding and running all over again, this isn’t anything new.

MARY: But Antonio, Aunty M/L and Aunty L/L-

ATHENA: Are fine. They were knocked down but they’re still breathing and that’s all that matters right now.

Mary looks on at Athena fighting bravely.

ATHENA: I’m just as scared as you are but if any of us give in at this point then there’s a chance we could all die!

MARY: I-I guess you’re right.

ATHENA: Now come on, pick yourself up and kick butt!

MARY: Yeah!

HARRIET: You still feeling the fight?

Harriet puts her hand up, Ethan grabs it.

ETHAN: You know it.

The two shake before letting out battle cries and continuing to fight.

SORA: Are you alright there brother?

YOSHI: I’m fine and so is the baby.

SORA: Good.

Sora gets back-to-back with Athena as they fight.

SORA: That was a pretty good speech you gave back there.

ATHENA: Don’t mention it.

Sora smiles as Athena fights seriously.

With the adults, Casey knocks away another enemy and faces L/L.

CASEY: Is everyone okay?

L/L: I hope so, it looks like Mikey and April are on the defence right now and Raph, R/L and Leo are with us on the offence.

CASEY: Alright, sounds good to me.

Casey turns around and is nearly shot until R/L steps in.

CASEY: Thanks for the save R/L.

R/L: There is no need to thank me we’re a team.

D/L: Alright three more guys incoming, you ready?

CASEY: As I’ll ever be.

R/L: I’m armed and prepared to fire.

CASEY: Goongala!

D/L: I can’t believe you still say that.

M/L is gaining consciousness with Antonio next to her.

M/L: Mikey?

MIKEY: Don’t move M/L. I can’t stop fighting right now but I need you to stay still, you were both hit pretty hard.

M/L: Both? *gasp* Antonio!

ANTONIO: Relax mum I’m right here.

M/L gives Antonio a big hug but the two quickly move away.

ANTONIO: Ouch!

M/L: Ow! Sorry I should of been more careful.

ANTONIO: It’s all good.

APRIL: Are you feeling okay L/L?

L/L stands up holding her shot arm.

L/L: I’ll be fine for now.

APRIL: Can you still fight?

L/L: I think so.

APRIL: Great cause I could use your help against these guys.

L/L: Right, I’m on it!

SORA: Hey, everyone’s up and fighting again!

HARRIET: Hah, I knew we would make it!

MARY: Yes!

Leo looks behind at the children cheering and smiles. Suddenly there’s a loud bang. The ground shakes violently and everyone’s vision is temporarily blinded.

Sora, now lying on the ground, waves a hand in front of her face while coughing, she stares at the sight… a bomb had gone off.

SORA: No…

Parts of the nearby buildings had been blown off and everyone was on the ground struggling as another wave of attackers began moving forward. Leo pushes himself off the ground wheezing and coughing before turning to look at Donnie and Bridget. His eyes widen as Donnie connects two wires and a portal opens.

LEO: They did it, they actually did it!

RAPH: Well it’ll all be for nothing if we don’t get moving like now!

Mikey pushes himself off the ground and helps up M/L and Antonio.

M/L: Ow!

MIKEY: Sorry M/L but we got to go!

APRIL: Casey!

CASEY: I’m alive, barely.

APRIL: Let’s get moving; we’re out of time.

April pulls Casey up.

Athena lifts herself up and turns to Ethan and Harriet.

ATHENA: Hey, get up!

Athena pulls up Harriet

HARRIET: Ah! It hurts.

ATHENA: I know, but trust me it’ll hurt a lot more when those things catch up to us.

Ethan pushes himself up.

ETHAN: Let’s get moving. You alright Mary?

Ethan helps Mary up.

MARY: I’ll be fine.

Yoshi opens his eyes and looks down in shock to find the baby safely wrapped in his arms. He gets up and hands the baby to Athena before looking over at Sora.

YOSHI: Are you going to keep lying there or are we still fearless heroes?

Sora looks up at him and sees the baby is okay. She lets out a weak smile and pushes herself up.

SORA: Fearless heroes. Forever and always.

R/L helps pull up D/L.

R/L: Are you alright D/L?

D/L: Been better but considering right now, I’ll be ok.

Leo pulls up L/L.

LEO: You ready to go home?

L/L: Yeah.

The kids rush over to their parents, being smaller and hit less by the blast they have more strength. Antonio joins them.

SORA: Dad are you okay? You’re walking really slow.

LEO: I’ll be fine let’s just get to that portal before-

Another gunshot fires this time hitting Casey in the back.

APRIL: Casey!

ALEX: Dad!

More gunshots go off but April repels them with her psychic powers. She uses a wave of energy to hold back the robots as she sits by Casey with tears in her eyes.

APRIL: You guys need to go I can’t hold them back for long!

MIKEY: No way we’re leaving you!

RAPH: We’re not going without you or Casey.

Donnie and Bridget run up to the group.

DONNIE: What happened?

APRIL: Casey’s hit!

ALEX: Dad?

DONNIE: Oh no.

APRIL: Guys I can’t-

Aprils powers fail and the robots begin storming forward.

MIKEY: What are we gonna do dudes. Ack! I can barely move my arm.

RAPH: I can’t go any faster than a snail.

R/L: I’m also lacking in physical strength.

D/L: Same here.

LEO: What about you L/L?

L/L sadly shows her wound’s been opened further.

L/L: Sorry Leo.

LEO: Looks behind him at the kids.

MARY: Mum you’ll be okay right?

ALEX: Dad, please get up!

HARRIET: Are you okay mum?

ETHAN: You guys aren’t hurt right?

ATHENA: Dad?

BRIDGET: Will everyone be able to make it through?

Leo smiles sadly and looks down at his katanas in front of him.

LEO: Change of plans.

Everyone looks up at Leo.

LEO: The adults will stay here and fight best we can. Kids, you guys are going to go and run as fast as you can through that portal.

KIDS: What!?

SORA: Dad you can’t be serious!

YOSHI: There’s no way you’re leaving us!

SORA: Mum tell him you can’t!

L/L looks away sadly and closes her eyes.

ATHENA: Dad there’s no way I’m letting you fight here alone! You can’t just stay!

All the adults stay silent.

ATHENA: Dad!

BRIDGET: At least you can come right dad? You weren’t hit by the blast you’re perfectly fine.

DONNIE: Bridget I love you so much.

MARY: Dad? What are you saying!?

DONNIE: You too Mary. But I swore to always have my brothers backs and to fight till the very end. If me staying here means you guys get out safe then I’ll do it.

MARY: Nu uh no way. Mum you’ll come with us won’t you?

D/L: I’m in just as bad a condition as everyone else sweetie. You’re going to have to go alone.

MARY: No!

More gunshots follow and the sound of bombs can be heard getting louder. Leo crouches down to Sora.

LEO: Now listen here I’m trusting you to lead this mission.

SORA: B-but dad!

LEO: No buts. You’re going to go through that portal and lead your family on this mission. I know it’s scary but I also know that if anyone can do it it’s you.

Sora holds Leo’s hands and begins to cry.

Bridget looks around at everyone crying to their parents and faces Donnie.

DONNIE: Bridget I need you to take possession of the watch.

Bridget silently nods and takes the watch.

DONNIE: Do you remember all the features it has?

BRIDGET: Mhm. Left dial for latitude, right dial for longitude, bottom dial for month, top dial for day and the centre is for the year.

DONNIE: See, you know exactly what you’re doing. I even installed a small device that’ll lead you straight to the lair.

BRIDGET: The lair… as in-

DONNIE: That’s right, home. Now here, let me adjust the settings.

Donnie fiddles with the dials before handing the watch back to Bridget. She looks up at him for a second before giving him a big hug.

ANTONIO: Mum, dad, I don’t want to leave you guys!

M/L: There isn’t really much of a choice here buddy.

MIKEY: We’re not fast enough to catch up with you.

ANTONIO: But, but-

MIKEY: Hey I need you to promise me something. Do you think that you can keep everyone smiling and laughing while you’re away, for me?

ANTONIO: I promise.

ATHENA: I don’t want to leave you guys, you can’t just expect us to go without you!

RAPH: Sorry but you have to, we’ll only slow you down.

ATHENA: No you won’t!

RAPH: Hey who do you think knows better, the 38-year-old ninja or the mini warrior-in-training?

Athena puffs out her cheeks and glares at him.

RAPH: That’s what I thought. Now you’re going to go with you’re brothers, your sister, Alex, your cousins and you’re going to protect them no matter what. I’m relying on you to make sure everyone comes back in one piece okay?

ATHENA: Okay.

RAPH: That’s my little warrior.

ETHAN: Are you guys really going to stay?

R/L: It is for your own protection.

Harriet cries and hugs her mum tight.

ALEX: Dad, come on you’re not really down are you.

CASEY: *Groans as he attempts to lift himself up* Sorry little dude.

APRIL: Come here honey.

Alex skates into April’s arms and hugs her tightly.

APRIL: I know you can do this. You mean so much to all of us so we need you to be brave enough to leave us and help them.

ALEX: Can’t you just use your psychic powers to stop this and save us all?

APRIL: I wish it was that simple.

A laser narrowly misses April’s head as she parts with Alex.

APRIL: Enough chit-chat, they’re here.

Everyone takes a fighting stance as more guns begin to fire. The adults start fighting with Casey still on the ground.

D/L: Go, go, go!

M/L: We love you all!

R/L: Come back safe!

L/L quickly pulls Yoshi back.

L/L: Take this and give it to our past selves.

YOSHI: What?

L/L quickly pulls him into a tight hug.

L/L: Remember you are more than what others make you, I love you so much. Now go!

MARY: No I don’t want to go!

Bridget begins pulling Mary back. Mary turns to her with tears.

MARY: We can’t just leave them.

BRIDGET: *Deep breath* We have to.

HARRIET: Guys come on we have to hurry!

Yoshi pulls Mary along and Bridget continues to run. The kids all run and jump through the portal one by one. Yoshi pulls Mary through leaving Bridget and Sora.

BRIDGET: If you don’t go I will; just make sure to grab the watch before going through, we need it to get back.

Bridget jumps through. Sora looks on at the parents fighting and focuses on Leo. Tears begin to fall from her eyes. Another loud bang goes off; bright light fills the space and Sora quickly grabs the watch before being forced into the portal, unable to see the remains of the explosion.

New Idea

I mentioned this in one of my recent posts but I have a storyline for a 2012 tmnt x reader but I’m not really sure how to go about it.

The premise of the story is a little similar to the rottmnt movie. The turtle’s children escape from an apocalyptic future and end up finding their past parents when they were teenagers to try and stop whatever threat is doomed to attack.

Each turtle has their own love interest; Donnie ends up discovering his feelings for April’s sister, Mikey asks out his crush who he finds out early on is his future wife, Raph has an established relationship with his girlfriend and Leo falls for a mysterious stranger who ends up being the random girl his kids mentioned to be their mum.

The issue comes in where I don’t know what turtle should be with the reader, so I’ve come up with some options. The first is having multiple readers where you can fill them in with whoever you like (oc’s, yourself, friends I don’t judge). I’d probably have to add in an odd key though, something like M/l (Mikey’s lover) L/l (Leo’s liver) and such. I could also do this for just a few characters, I was leaning more towards keeping Raph with Mona (sorry Raph fans :( ) but it’s not a set choice. It’s either that or I choose one character to pair the reader with and fill the others with either their og love interests or oc’s.

Sorry, that may have been a bit confusing but if you read it all congrats. 👏🥳🎉 I hope it was somewhat easy to understand. At the very least please vote cause I desperately need to make a choice so I can get this thing fully written.

This was unexpected

Oh this was VERY unexpected

See Leo was a loser

He didn’t get to be cool, he didn’t get to be  smart, he didn’t get to be funny and he didn’t get the girl

At least that’s what he thought

According to April though, this was entirely inaccurate

According to April, you’d had a crush on him for the last month

Someone went a whole MONTH harbouring romantic feelings for him!

And not just anyone; his cool, pretty friend whom he had fallen head-over-heels for the first day they met

This was unbelievable!

Of course his brothers didn’t believe him

I mean, why would they? According to them, he naturally makes girls gravitate away from him

Now it’s not like you knew April told Leo this

You had simply shared the information during a sleepover and blindly trusted her

A bad choice really considering sharing news was her whole gig

Still you were none-the-wiser the next day as to why Leo was anxiously pulling at his shirt

Or why he avoided your eyes like the plague

Or why when you chose to sit next to him in geography he felt like his heart was about to erupt

You had no clue

So what was Leo to do in this situation?

Trust in April’s words and confess his feelings, risking the possibility of making things more awkward?

Or stay silent and let fate decide when was right, risking losing the chance to be with you forever?

It was a tough choice

But Leo’s a wimp so obviously he wasn’t going to say anything

That was until his brothers forced him to

Donnie had cleverly hacked his computer to send an email to you, asking you to meet in one of the art rooms

He in turn did the same to your computer and gave explicit times to ensure you both crossed over

It was believing those emails that lead you to to your current situation

Locked in an art room by April and Leo’s insufferable brothers, forced to wait it out until you found a way to escape

Heart pounding, mind racing and palms sweating

Leo knew exactly what they wanted out of you two and he had no idea how to do it!

So… Guess we’re stuck, in here … Seems like it’ll be a while- Did I upset you Leo? What, no!? Really? Cause you’ve been acting weird all day Not because of you! Well it sure seems like it’s because of me! How!? You literally made a point to stare at nothing but the ground the second I tried talking to you today! I was nervous! Why were you nervous!? Because I really like you! I really, really like you And I guess the thought that you might like me back is so thrilling it’s kind of terrifying But I-I don’t expect you to feel the same, I get this is probably off-putting with the green and the shell and the baldness- Leo! You grabbed his head and forced him to finally meet you face-to-face No tan, hair-covered, bare-backed guy could ever make me feel the way I do for you

You quickly kissed him and upon pulling away realised he had melted into a puddly, flustered mess

And you were released from the art room

Eventually

In the end it was a win-win

April got to succeed in her matchmaking schemes, you got to kiss the turtle of your dreams, Leo got a girlfriend and his brothers had something new to tease him about

Ok, so maybe it wasn’t a 100% win for Leo but close enough

Raph

Raph had met you first when he joined the wrestling club at school and you just so happened to be there

You also happened to be there when he tried out for the track team

And footy team

And basketball team

And cricket team

And just about every single sport he experimented with

For some reason you were consistently always there, always in his head with your stupid pretty face and swooshy hair and bright eyes and dumb little smile

GOD WHY WERE YOU ALWAYS THERE &$!#%!!??

Well… since you seemed to follow him everywhere Raph figured he may as well befriend you

And you two got along well, soon enough it seemed like he had found his new best friend

Also it may have turned out that you’d been widely involved in the school’s sport program for years but we don’t talk about that!

Anyhow, you guys stuck together pretty consistently

Always hanging out and goofing off, ranting about teachers and friends

In a weird way you were also each other’s therapists, being forced to be the reasonable one whenever the other was in a firey state

His brothers greatly appreciated it as it meant they had to deal with less violent endeavours from him

If only Donnie hadn’t been feeling so bored that day, maybe then he’d still be alive

Or at least have a chance of living to the next day

See you and Raph had just been chilling at your locker while you grabbed stuff for class

No biggie, the closest you contact you had was Raph’s arm being slightly around you

But when Donnie came around and saw you two he couldn’t think of a better way to brighten his day than to embarrass his brother in front of the girl he’d been talking about for weeks

So as he walked by he slyly turned to you two, eyebrows raised and commented “You two look comfy” before contently strutting off

Raph’s face blended in with his mask as he stared angrily at his brother’s back

I’m gonna kill him Don’t I have P.E with him today

Donnie ended up returning home with a LOT of bruises that day

But it was worth it for the information he managed to squeeze out of you

All which he spouted to Raph like a proud toddler

Raph didn’t believe him

He genuinely didn’t

No way you had a crush on him

You liked to watch him wrestle for the fight not the visuals

And the only reason you were insistent on having him at your locker every morning was so you had someone to talk to. You’d replace him with any of your friends if they arrived earlier

Also, the fact that you showed off your muscles to him at a swim competition was purely to brag and in no way hinting towards any feelings!

Raph knew you didn’t like him and he could prove it

So Donnie dared him to ask you

Then after regaining consciousness, told Raph he’d call him out for being a wimp if he didn’t

3 beatings in one day, way to go Donnie!

So Raph wasn’t feeling too psyched the next day when he was talking to you and noticed Donnie’s lingering gaze but a guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do (terrible under other context but you get the point)

Ok Y/n, now this is totally random but stupid Donnie has been nagging me to ask you. Do you like me? Like, like-like me Donnie told you that? No he just wanted me to ask- Well he’s right Huh? He told me you feel the same way, I’m assuming you do After all it would make sense as to why you’re constantly displaying signs of high dopamine, noradrenaline, releases of phenethylamine and hormonal changes around me I don’t know what any of those words mean but I love you You turned to him with a genuine smile I love you too, but it has only been a few weeks so can we just take things a bit slow for now? Uh huh Awesome

You gripped the top of his plastron and pulled the lovestruck turtle into a small kiss

Sadly you were torn apart when an annoying voice called out from across the hall

I told you so!

He bolted, but at least you two had managed to get together. Raph may have actually killed Donnie otherwise

Donnie

You and Donnie were childhood friends, platonic besties, a power duo of friendship

There were no romantic feelings between you two AT ALL

…

So it started in maths

You, Donnie and Leo were being the ultimate nerd trio, figuring out equations and such when one of the annoying kids, Harvey, thought it would be funny to call out

Hey Donnie! Did you know Y/n likes you!?

Some kids started laughing and others talking while you sat there with your face beet red

Donnie’s face flushed as he stumbled over his words, desperately trying to defend you which he didn’t succeed well in

He did take note of your reaction to the whole scenario which peaked his interest

(Side note: Leo did slightly enjoy the whole thing, finally not the butt of the joke 😃)

After that day Donnie’s thoughts grew

He had pictured these scenarios a thousand times in his head but never had they felt so possible

Asking you out, you asking him out, going on dates, exchanging gifts, hugging, crying, kissing

Then it happened again, sort of

He and Raph were leaving class together

Easy, simple, completely normal

Till a random girl, who he recognised as your friend, yelled from behind

Donnie, do you like Y/n!?

He panicked. What was he meant to say?

He couldn’t say yes, what if you didn’t like him? But what if you did like him?

However, they were getting further away and he only had seconds to answer

So he made the “smartest decision of his life” and called back

U-uh, um, no!

Since then you’d been more distant

And with all this evidence; Donnie became a full analyst

He noted down your behaviours, how you acted before and now

How your interests changed with him, when you were louder and quieter, what gestures you made to hint any feelings

He looked deep and saw all the signs

Sadly you were still pretty distant after what you heard from your friend and Donnie was determined to change that

First off, he tried to initiate more conversation and when you attempted to cut it short he kept pushing

No matter how hard his social anxiety was screaming he knew he had to keep conversations going

He also kept making an effort to sit next to you

Any scenario be it lunch, class or just general group hangouts; he was always by your side

And after a week or so when you seemed to be loosening up more he chose to take things a step further with physical contact

He’d give you a high-five, fist bump or hug as a greeting

Maybe lean on your shoulder or get closer when you were showing him something

Sometimes if he was feeling particularly happy he’d sneak his hand over yours

Soon enough, it seemed like you had finally gotten over everything and were back to your old self. But there was still something you had to address

Lunch time, alone. That’s when you chose to bring it up

Donnie, do-um… did uh my friend ever tell you anything a few weeks ago? He began choking on his food *Cough* N-no uh why? Well it’s just that the last few days you’ve been different Different how? Uh… just small stuff like the hand thing and I guess you’ve seemed a bit closer Oh! I mean psh, I just thought you were upset or something so I wanted to cheer you up, no big deal You thought I was upset? Why? Well you were acting more distant and I didn’t want to bring it up cause I thought it might be sensitive so I figured I’d just help on the side, you know? That’s actually really sweet. But are you sure there’s no other reason for it? Uh nope! None, I mean why else would I want to hug you and hold your hand and stuff it’s not like I have a crush on you. Cause that- that would be crazy you and me together like whaaat? A mutant and a human who, how!? Donnie Yes Did you lie to my friend? Maybe … So it wouldn’t be weird if we dated? I’d love it if we dated

Of course you kissed and both of you loved it

Donnie had never felt this happy in his whole life, not even when they saved the city!

And he had enough blackmail to shut his brothers up if they ever tried teasing you two

Mikey

You two were the best of buddies

Two peas in a pod

Always acting and performing at each others side

Mikey loved it

Mikey loved you

And the day he heard you may feel the same caused his mind and heart to simultaneously explode

It was Leo, of course it was Leo

They were in art discussing the struggles of having human crushes

It was when Leo said “At least yours likes you back” that he knew he screwed up

Mikey wasn’t panicked though, Mikey’s Mikey

He was of course very happy when he heard the news and didn’t leave Leo alone about it for days

Every waking moment was spent getting updates from Leo and insights into your friend group

And whenever you two saw each other be it before school, after school, breaks, in class or at improv, he was ecstatic

This guy just couldn’t get enough and made every effort to let you know he liked you

Soon enough he felt like he had enough confirmation on your feelings and gained the confidence to just go for it

It was during a game of freeze tag when he tapped out the person you were previously with and started a new scene

Jessie! Hey, thank gosh I found you Lucas, what’s up? I haven’t seen you in a while Oh well, you know, I’ve just been busy; things have been a bit different lately Different how? Well the word is that someone I know likes me but I just don’t know who That sure is a dilemma Yeah, if it’s the person I think it is though I recon it’ll end pretty well You got some hopes do you? Ahh just someone, nothing to worry about I don’t know if you’re associated Try me Alright well… they have h/c hair ooh and pretty e/c eyes! They’re also one of my closest friends and I don’t think they realise just how much I like them Wow Lucas that must be really keeping you on edge Yeah, if only I knew who it is At this point you and Mikey had moved so close to each other your hands were almost touching Mikey I- FREEZE!

And just like that, the scene was over

But not the story

At the end of the rehearsal you and Mikey walked out of school together and the discussion of feelings was unavoidable

You two were walking silently side-by-side till he finally said it

I like you Y/n Do you like me back? I like you so much Mikey you don’t even know

His face lit up as he cheerfully pulled you into a hug and spun around

You took the opportunity as he slowed down, cupped one of his cheeks and planted a kiss on his lips

From that day forward Mikey got to walk around boasting about having the greatest partner in all of New York

And you went on to kick Leo’s butt for exposing your secret so easily

Only 27 when it happened, the day everything changed, the day he became a father

You gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl, she had a lot of turtle-like features with some human aspects blended into her body

Her name, Athena; and who better to name your child after than the goddess of war herself

Raph was considering naming her in honour of Karai but didn’t want to place that pressure on her

From day one you two were the ultimate parenting duo

And you best believe Raph helped with everything, this man is pure husband material and will cater to your every need

During the Krang war things got bad

Everything was going moderately ok and you had managed to somewhat raise Athena while battling against a nuclear alien threat

That was until Raph’s passing

It was a heartbreaking day for everyone but especially you

Knowing you would have to be a single mother, explain to your daughter why her father was gone

It didn’t feel real

Athena would grow up with you as an incredible mother

The rest of the group assisted in raising both her and Casey

They grew up together, trained by Leo with free schooling from their knowledgeable uncle Donnie

April worked to be the best supporter she could for you with Mikey providing his usual cuddly comfort

Both served as the Athena’s secret therapists as she grew older

Not a day went by where you didn’t think of him

When Cassandra passed you fell quickly after

Both children were heartbroken

But once Athena saw you in the past, with Raph, looking bright and cheerful

She knew things would be ok, she’d make sure of it

It was an emotional roller coaster but Athena appreciated it

While Casey stayed she chose to go home due to the space-time complications

Mikey somehow managed to send her back without completely falling apart and Athena was eternally grateful

She was able to return home to a happy, healthy, fully alive family

And you got spend the rest of your life alongside Raph, raising your gorgeous warrior daughter

Hey You - Pt.2

Clay x Fem!Reader

Part 1

So remember how I said part 2 was coming soon? Well it’s been 3 months I’m so sorry. But I finally found the motivation to write more and thus I’ve completed the second half of this story. I’ve had actually had most of this written for a while now it was just getting through the more boring parts that extended the wait which is why I may have just left out one of the scenes. Fear not, it’s important to the movie but not to this story so really I’m just saving you time by skipping to the good parts. Also the ending may be slightly suggestive, I’m sorry it’s probably the furthest I’ll ever take anything in my writing. Anyway enough of that here is part 2 of Hey You.

“Great, but we need to leave for Mount Rageous like now.”

“You can’t leave now, you just got here!” Viva insisted. “Come on let me show you around.” She smiled, pulling Poppy by the hand.

The two had barely made it a couple meters before Poppy’s hug time bracelet lit up and released a small dinging noise.

“Hug time!” Viva cheered as she pulled Poppy into a hug.

“Eh hehe.” John Dory opened his arms for a hug but was quickly denied by his brothers and Y/n.

“Uhh.” Bruce shook his head.

Branch looked at JD in astonishment at his audacity while Y/n hugged her arm and averted her eyes.

“Yeah no.” Clay spoke for everyone as he crossed his arms to face the energetic, pink duo again.

“Aww so cute. Where’d you get that hug time bracelet?” Viva inspected Poppy’s hug time bracelet while holding her hand.

“My dad gave it to me.” Poppy replied. Her eyes shifted to her bracelet before meeting Viva’s again.

“Ok this is so totally random but I used to have one just like it. Can I see that?” She asked, allowing Poppy to slip the bracelet onto her wrist.

“Wow it fits you perfectly.” Poppy commented.

“Yeah.” Viva stared at the bracelet in thought. She moved her free hand towards the pink flower, brushing her finger across it which, as a result, caused it to sparkle and shine both visually and audibly.

“Woah.” Poppy looked up from the bracelet to Viva.

“I’m sorry, what did you say your name was again?” Viva asked.

“I’m Poppy.” The pink queen stretched out her hand to shake.

“Poppy?” Viva ignored the gesture and instead moved forward, inspecting her face. Poppy moved backwards as Viva in turn followed her till they both came to a stop. Viva used her right hand to brush Poppy’s bangs to the side to get a better look of her face. Bruce looked behind him, Branch and John Dory gave each other a look and Clay and Y/n both glanced at each other before quickly looking away.

“Ok, um another totally random weird question but is your dad King Peppy?” Viva inquired, her carefree demeanour now fully replaced by a serious undertone.

“Uh yeah, heh.” Poppy replied, unsure of how any of this was relevant to their current situation.

“You’re… you’re alive!” Viva cheered, scooping Poppy into a large hug and spinning her around.

“I’m alive!” Poppy repeated still very confused.

“Unbelievable! I never thought I’d see you again!” She finally let Poppy stand properly.

“Again?” Poppy questioned.

“Poppy it’s me Viva.” Viva tried to rejig her memory. After seeing how Poppy was still visibly confused she decided to give an explanation. “I’m your sister!”

“My, my what!?” Poppy almost fell into a daze as she tried to process the new information.

“You’re sister, you’re hermana!” Viva smiled.

“Woah.” Branch let out before turning to John Dory who was giving him an equally shocked expression.

“Hey man, am I the only one without a long lost sibling?” Tiny questioned.

“What do you mean we’re sisters?” Poppy grabbed Viva’s cheeks, yanking her head forward. “How could I have not know about you? I can’t believe dad didn’t tell me I have a sister!”

“That is so dad.” The two spoke in sync, laughing together.

“Uh, I can’t- I can’t believe this! I’ve always dreamt of having a sister. I was just saying this, wasn’t I just saying this!?” Poppy yelled turning towards the brothers, Tiny and Y/n. They all looked completely lost as Poppy quickly went back to Viva.

“This means we can plan each others birthday parties.” Poppy giddily exclaimed.

“Yeah yeah yeah and weddings.” Viva pitched in.

“Yes!” Poppy jumped for joy. “My best friend Bridget just had her wedding and it went off without a hitch cause I was like the best maid of honour.”

“You’d be the best maid of honour!” Viva agreed.

Poppy let out a loud gasp. “You and Bridget are gonna love each other!”

“Oh my gosh, I’m gonna love her I love what you love!”

“YES!”

“Yeah!”

“Wooo!” Poppy screamed as she had Viva held hands, flying up into the air.

VIVA: ♪ Kaleidoscopic ♪

Viva jumped upside down onto the bottom of a statue’s tail.

VIVA: ♪ I’m seeing different when I look at you ♪

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ Everything’s looking bright. ♪

Poppy happily skipped and got yanked up onto the tail by Viva.

VIVA: ♪ No one can stop it now ♪

♪ I’m getting swept up in a feel good mood ♪

The sisters began dancing together happily.

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ Feeling I can’t deny ♪

POPPY: ♪ Now that you’re with me I can finally see ♪

♪ Colours that were up in my mind, didn’t know I was blind ♪

The duo continued to jump around the putt-putt course, climbing up a statue of an octopus and jumping onto a green light.

VIVA: ♪ Now that I’m with you sparks are flying loose ♪

♪ Fireworks go off in my brain ♪

They bumped their butts together and kept on dancing, eventually jumping off the light and heading down one of the course’s holes before emerging at the top with fireworks exploding around them.

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ And I’ll never be the same ♪

♪ I didn’t know until I found you ♪

♪ Having the time of our lives it takes two ♪

They sung and danced together after looking at Poppy’s scrap book. The two then headed down the slide in Viva’s home.

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ When I look up the stars are brighter ♪

Poppy and Viva then danced around together on the pavement, spinning and ending with their hands clasped together.

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ Now I know everything’s better with you ooh ooh ooh ♪

Clay and John Dory fist bumped transitioning to where the four BroZone brothers were with Y/n.

JD, BRANCH, BRUCE, CLAY AND Y/N: ♪ Now! Now that, now that we got it all together ♪

Y/n smiled subtly while watching Clay goof off the way he used to, god did she miss those times. Her joy was short lived though as JD pulled Clay into a hug with Bruce joining by pulling Branch in and subsequently pushing Y/n forward into Clay, forcing them into a group hug. She and Clay exchanged nervously glances before they all transitioned to some coins and cups. Bruce sitting on one, Clay leaning against it with Branch and John Dory dancing while Y/n sat in the middle,

JD, BRANCH, BRUCE, CLAY AND Y/N: ♪ Now we’re together we got it on ♪

The group of five then moved on to a small table with Branch using a card to mimic coming up with a plan. Clay, Bruce and Y/n were seemingly on board but John Dory quickly tried to take over causing Clay to pull him away.

JD, BRANCH, BRUCE, CLAY, POPPY, VIVA AND Y/N: ♪ Now! Now that, now that we got it all together ♪

The five then danced together, Clay gave JD a high five, Bruce and Branch pointed at each other and Y/n spun in the middle before posing with the rest of them.

BROZONE, POPPY, VIVA AND Y/N: ♪ Now we’re together we got it on ♪

Poppy and Viva returned to the scene and continued their duet dancing with Y/n and the current BroZone members dancing in the background.

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ Got me feeling right, feeling right, feeling like ♪

♪ Good vibes are at my door ♪

♪ Everyday, everyday ooh ooh ♪

VIVA: ♪ It takes two ♪

Viva then held Poppy’s hand and the two flew up to the top of another statue where they continued reading through Poppy’s scrapbook.

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ I didn’t know until I found you ♪

They once again held hands and landed on another part of the putt-putt course, this time taking different selfies together.

POPPY AND VIVA: ♪ Having the time of our lives it takes two ♪

For the final time; the sisters changed locations once more, this time staring the the night sky while cuddling together.

After escaping the putt-putt village and leaving Viva, the troll gang came to the realisation that perhaps they needed some food and sleep. After all they had only managed to sneak in a few fries and such before fleeing and they didn’t exactly get the chance to rest so they stopped Rhonda after a while and set up a camp fire to sit around.

Everyone was laughing together. Poppy sat next to Branch with John Dory on his left, then Bruce with Tiny, Clay and finally Y/n on Poppy’s right. Y/n and Clay had seemingly gotten closer, leaning on each other and on the verge of holding hands.

“Haha oh, and then he’s like, ‘if I’m willing to store and drink my own sweat, which I am!’” Poppy burst out laughing with everyone else, recalling the early memories of when she first spoke to Branch.

“If you think that was bad you should’ve seen us as rock trolls.” Branch pitched in.

“Oh that was bad.” Poppy dragged a hand down her face in embarrassment. “That was so bad, ha.” The couple kept laughing together.

“That reminds me of the time that rival boy band showed. They were all like pop rock with this whole bad-boy branding.” JD spoke up.

“Oh yeah I remember those guys and how jealous Clay was.” Bruce mentioned, turning to give Clay the smuggest smile of his life.

“Oh my gosh, you still won’t let that go?”

“Nope.” JD smiled.

“Never.” Branch shook his head.

“It’s been 20 years!” Clay jokingly pointed out.

“Clay I’m sorry to break it to you but we’ll never let it go.” Y/n smiled and leaned further into him. He rolled his eyes smiling and wrapped and arm around her.

“Like you were any better.”

“Oooh!” The group perked up at Clay’s throw-away comment.

“Oh no he didn’t!” Tiny waved his finger sassily.

“We swore to never speak of that.” Y/n whispered.

“Mhm, you know what, you’re right. I’d absolutely hate to tell everyone of the time that you purposefully redirected a fan to the wrong concert!” Clay raised his voice at the end for everyone to hear.

“You what!?” Poppy exclaimed.

“She was insane, she was genuinely going to go onstage and propose I was just doing my job as manager. If anything you should be grateful I did that so you didn’t have to deal with another loopy fan!” Y/n crossed her arms and turned away from Clay in petty defence.

“Ok ok, I’m sure that was your only motive.” Clay nodded his head.

Y/n turned back round and slapped his arm in response.

“Hey!” Clay yelled. The two then burst into laughter and once again fell into each others embrace.

Everyone else quickly collapsed into laughter. As the noise began to die down Y/n sighed and lazily stated.

“I love you.”

The atmosphere fell dead silent and it didn’t take long for Y/n to realise what she said. She sat up stiffly and plastered on a nervous smile.

“In a totally platonic, non-romantic way!” Still, all eyes remained on her as she stood up straight. “I got to go!” Y/n then booked it, running off to who knows where.

The gazes of everyone quickly turned to Clay.

“I should go.”

A chorus of agreement came from around the circle and he quickly headed off in Y/n’s direction.

Meanwhile, in a small clearing, Y/n was beating herself up.

“Ugh come on Y/n, pull yourself together! It’s fine, it was a small comment, it meant nothing. Now I just need to tell them that.” She took a step forward but quickly turned around and went back to pacing. “But what if everyone’s awkward about it, what if I have to sit next to him again. Oh please no! Ok. It’s fine. Just take a deep breath and- oh my gosh!”

She quickly stumbled backwards from Clay appearing behind her after she turned around.

“Y/n, I’m so sorry!” He tried grabbing her hand but she rejected it and composed herself quickly.

“No I’m sorry Clay, that was completely unintentional. I- I swear it meant nothing it just slipped out in the moment you know?” Y/n smiled and tried playing it off as a joke but the awkwardness of the situation remained.

“Do you think maybe we should um talk about it?” Clay suggested.

“There isn’t much to talk about. We were together now we’re not, end of story.”

“No not end of story.” Clay reached forward and grabbed Y/n’s hand. “Y/n I didn’t want to break up with you. I was stressed, my brothers were leaving and I felt like I had to leave too. It wasn’t about trying to seperate from you I wanted to separate myself from the band and I guess you, me, us.” Y/n looked up to meet Clay’s eyes at the mention of ‘them’. “It felt like that wasn’t gonna be possible.”

“That doesn't change the fact that we broke up and it’s been 20 years. You can’t just magic up 20 years of a relationship like that Clay.”

“And I’m not saying I want to.” He quickly kept a grip on Y/n’s hand as she tried to pull it away. “But if you’re feeling what I’m feeling.” He placed his other hand on top of hers. “Then maybe we should at least try to get it back.”

Y/n retracted her hand and took a step back, turning around to maintain the water in her eyes. “Look Clay.” She took a deep breath as she turned back to face him.

Y/N: ♪ Here’s the thing, we started out friends ♪

♪ It was cool, but it was all pretend ♪

♪ Yeah, yeah, since you been gone ♪

“Y/n I’m so sorry.” Clay took a step forward which resulted in Y/n stepping away from him.

Y/N: ♪ You dedicated, you took the time ♪

♪ Wasn’t long till I called you mine ♪

Y/n began to smile, reminiscing of when they first got together but slowly started frowning again as her mind went back to the break-up.

Y/N: ♪ Yeah, yeah, since you been gone ♪

She then turned back to give Clay a side glance.

Y/N: ♪ And all you’d ever hear me say ♪

♪ Is how I pictured me with you ♪

She began walking away from him, further to the centre of the clearing.

Y/N: ♪ That’s all you’d ever hear me say ♪

♪ But since you been gone ♪

The lighting in the forest quickly changed as Y/n started broke into dance.

Y/N: ♪ I can breath for the first time ♪

♪ I’m so moving on, yeah, yeah ♪

♪ Thanks to you ♪

She pointed at Clay who looked down at himself in confusion.

Y/N: ♪ Now I get ♪

He looked towards her as she held her hands over her chest.

Y/N: ♪ What I want ♪

♪ Since you been gone ♪

Clay took a breath, risking it by taking another step forward.

“Y/n I know what I did was wrong and I should of explained things better but I’m trying to tell you I’m sorry.”

Y/n averted her gaze.

CLAY: ♪ I don’t know why I did the things I did ♪

♪ I don’t know why I said the things I said ♪

♪ Pride’s like a knife it can cut deep inside ♪

Y/n tried walking away again but Clay grabbed her hand, forcing her to turn to him.

CLAY: ♪ Words are like weapons, they wound sometimes ♪

He then pulled her into a few dance moves.

CLAY: ♪ I didn’t really mean to hurt you ♪

♪ I didn’t wanna see you go ♪

Clay finally let go of Y/n on his own accord and stepped back a bit.

CLAY: ♪ I know I made you cry, but baby ♪

The lighting changed again as it did for Y/n as Clay began his own dance routine.

CLAY: ♪ If I could turn back time ♪

♪ If I could find a way ♪

♪ I’d take back those words that’ve hurt you ♪

♪ And you’d stay ♪

♪ If I could reach the stars ♪

Clay pointed to the sky where a shooting star passed by.

CLAY: ♪ I'd give 'em all to you ♪

He gestured to Y/n before going back to his dance.

CLAY: ♪ Then you’d love me, love me ♪

♪ Like you used to do ♪

The atmosphere fell calm and Clay and Y/n got closer to each other. So close into each others embrace their noses were almost touching. It was only when Clay sang out.

CLAY: ♪ If I could turn back time ♪

Y/n found herself caught in contemplation before closing her eyes and pushing Clay away.

Y/N: ♪ You had your chance, you blew it ♪

♪ Out of sight, out of mind ♪

“Y/n.” Clay tried to reason but she stopped him as she walked by.

Y/N: ♪ Shut your mouth, I just can’t take it ♪

♪ Again and again and again and again ♪

“Y/n please. I’m not saying we should just act like nothing happened and pretend we’re 15 again. But back there, for a minute, it felt like things weren’t weird. Can we just be like that, can we at least try?”

“I don’t know Clay. What happens when this is over, what happens when we have to go our seperate ways again?”

“Then we’ll work it out.”

The two faced each other, holding hands.

Y/N: ♪ If I could turn back time ♪

CLAY: ♪ If I could turn back time ♪

Y/N: ♪ If I could turn back time ♪

CLAY AND Y/N: ♪ If I could turn back time ♪

The duo started posing and dancing together and for the first time in 20 years it felt like they weren’t separated.

CLAY: ♪ I didn’t really mean to hurt you ♪

Y/N: ♪ I didn’t wanna see you go ♪

CLAY AND Y/N: ♪ I know I made you cry, oh ♪

♪ If I could turn back time ♪

♪ If I could find a way ♪

CLAY: ♪ I’d take back those words that hurt you ♪

CLAY AND Y/N: ♪ If I could reach the stars ♪

♪ I'd give 'em all to you ♪

♪ Then you’d love me, love me ♪

♪ Like you used to do ♪

Once more the two found themselves in a close position. Clay pulled Y/n in close by the waist and she in turn wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Clay, it may take time, but you’re right I do feel something. And if we have a chance of being something again then I don’t want to lose that.”

“Couldn’t of said it better myself.” Clay smiled in response before leaning in and closing the gap.

Back at camp, the other trolls were worried for their friends. John Dory was snacking on a marshmallow when he decided to finally speak up.

“Mm, what’s taking those two so long?”

Poppy was biting down aggressively on her nails, body practically shaking. “I don’t know, but I’m beginning to worry. What if they were captured or eaten or-”

“Or!” Branch cut her off. “What if they’re just taking a while to work through their problems and need us to wait so they can come back when they’re ready?”

A few glances were exchanged until JD slapped his hands down and stood up.

“Yeah I’m going to go look for them.”

“I’m with you there.” Bruce stood up and followed.

“O-ok baby in the carrier, baby in the carrier!” Tiny yelled as he was forced to follow along.

Poppy glanced at Branch and yelled out. “Ahh I can’t do this, I have to see if they’re ok!” Before running after the others.

Branch sighed and follow in suit.

“Anyone else hearing that strange noise?” Tiny questioned as they approached the clearing.

“Kind of, but I’m sure it’s nothing.” Bruce reassured him. Unfortunately his words were cut down quick as they took a turn. All the group could see were love hearts and the sounds of smooches. Their faces filled with horror as Bruce quickly blocked Tiny Diamond’s view and Branch smacked a hand over Poppy’s eyes.

They all slowly backed away, John Dory pulling on the collar of his shirt.

“We’ll, at least they’re getting along again.” He mused only to be met with blank stares. “Yeah we’ll get them in the morning.”

I hope you liked the story.
