The three ducks are excited to be back together again now that the fair is over. Momo, the drake, insists that at least once a day they make their rounds and inspect the farm. They slowly waddle through the taller grass and over or around any obstacles and usually in single file line. What started off as a less than desirable day ended up victorious. Yesterday evening while moving the egg mobile out of pasture to clean and update the roosts, the bolt holding the tow arm snapped. Luckily the arm bent the bracket and managed to lodge itself such that it stayed connected to the tractor and did not go careening into the ravine. With the help of a big pipe wrench, a pipe clamp and my neighbor’s impact wrench I managed to get it back together “good enough”. Now the girls won’t have to sleep under the stars again.
