and it’s all because of how they introduce her. hopper comes up to her and they proceed to have this unnatural sounding conversation where they force-feed information in regards to faybelle. which yeah a lot of media does but ever after high literally has NARRATORS, CHARACTERS THAT SERVE AS PLOT DEVICES AS AN EXCUSE TO SPOON FEED EXPOSITION, and yet they DIDN’T USE THEM instead opting to talk through the characters like bro ARE YOU SERIOUS???

instead we need hopper asking, “Hey are you Faybelle Thorn daughter of the dark fairy from Sleeping Beauty and head cheerhexer at the school Ever After High from hit series Ever After High?,” and faybelle telling him, “Yes, I am Faybelle Thorn daughter of the dark fairy from Sleeping Beauty and head cheerhexer who attends the school Ever After High from hit Mattel franchise Ever After High and i’m an evil character.”

i literally remember coming up with this whole idea about that. briar being like “who will do anything i ask of them…” and sending hopper to get answers, then talking with lizzie nearby to subtly keep tabs before everyone is distracted by the invitation drama. i’ve got my tinfoil hat on for this.

For your EQG stories, I know you said there'd be some Rarijack in them (especially in the first one), but any possibility on SciSet (Sci-Twi/Sunset) stuff either explicitly or even just implied with a lot of close moments on that dynamic?

this one is a complicated one. so, when i say the second of the films i wrote is meant to serve as the finale to the series, i’m technically lying. like, it’s supposed to be a finale that would work in the event the series really had to end there, BUT i also have this idea of an even more ambitious project where following that movie there’s a sequel equestria girls series that delves into stuff not covered in either of them. and this is one of those things. because sciset definitely gets a bit of hinting at in them (second one especially) but no concrete conclusion because there’s no room in the narrative. that being said, in this hypothetical series that would succeed it, they’d get an epic slow burn that really comes to a head in this one arc that i can go on about for ages.

so the answer is Kinda.

So, any plan on doing art showing potential redesigns of the supporting players outside the Rainbooms with new outfits too?

i did at one point have the intentions to do it, and i probably will EVENTUALLY, but i only have to offer two really really old sketches that both contain concepts for flash’s updated design. i’m definitely gonna go with the second one, but the first may be repurposed as a younger flash. as for the girl, that was supposed to be starlight. yikes.. yeah these are ancient.

i also have the rough sketch for that poster i showed off, which was originally going to feature trixie as well. i just got lazy.

if enough people are eager to see proper renders of, like, flash and trixie, i’ll do it sooner rather than later.

I really do dig the new designs you have for the Rainbooms in the poster for your upcoming Equestria Girls movie story, with their new outfits and all.

I do wonder if there's any plans for the supporting characters to be involved in either of the two EQG stories such as Spike, Trixie, Flash, Principals Celestia and Luna, and probably more I'm forgetting.

you’re in luck, they all are! flash plays an important roll in the first of the two, meanwhile trixie actually gets to be a major player in both of them! celestia and luna are also present, though more so in the first than the second. as for spike, he’s there but not exactly to do anything big. i mean, it’s not like i can do much with dog!spike anyway.

and tons of the other side characters get to show up, including all playing a big role in one of the most pivotal scenes in the second film i wrote.

there’s also a few characters from friendship is magic that finally appear as their human world counterparts. so, yeah, the mane 7 aren’t the only ones getting to do stuff.
