Me, being the Scooby-Doo fanatic I am, decided to make a complete timeline of all the Scooby-Doo content that include the animated series, animated movies, live action films, and possibly the worst Scooby rendition which was the puppet movie all in chronological order. I wanted to show how the gang and the animation style had changed throughout the years, so enjoy!

Disappointed. And it’s not just Lillard, but the whole cast besides Frank Welker, who plays Scooby-Doo (but not Fred? unconfirmed as of right now but that seems to be the implication). As far as I know, our usual cast is playing Guess Who, so that’s good!

I never envisioned the 2020 Scooby-Doo movie causing drama or any kind of “controversy” but sadly it did. I’m sorry Matthew Lillard got this kind of treatment from Warner Bros. but I hope he continues confidently portraying Shaggy in the “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?” series.

Top 30 Movies of 2018 #25 - Daphne & Velma

Being a fan of Hanna Barbera and various other cartoons I have joined various Hanna Barbera and other cartoon related groups to share my love of the things. And my intended mental sanctuary from the cruelty of the Trump administration for whatever reason squews towards old conservative dudes and a very specific woman from the UK who has internalized misogyny and thinks of the superhero garage band The Impossibles as a boy band.

So anytime DC/WB makes Snagglepuss gay or tries to widen their audience by making things more diverse, shitheads in these groups lose their fucking minds.

So it should come as no surprise that the trailer for D&V was met with vitriol. How dare WB try to get young girls to become. How dare WB cast Daphne as a girl of color. People who were not the intended audience for the project were horrible.

Velma is played by one of the daughters on Tim Allen’s horrible Last Man Standing and Daphne now stars on the CW’s awesome Charmed reboot.

Part of the plan for this 5th live action Scooby Doo movie is to skip the cost of the CGI Scooby, and so they didn’t break the budget w/ special effects. The story is fairly predictable but the job is to not confuse the short people audience. This direct to DVD movie is charming and fun.
