The Highway

At the end of the pilot, the Virtue Corps guards have the highway sealed off. On the other side, they find leftover traces of black blood. They must've found it after the Smiling Dead had returned from the heist. Mel did lose a lot of blood after her encounter with the Angel Mother. How will this discovery play out in the next episode?

One-Eyed Angel

Throughout the pilot we keep seeing a one-eyed angel that kept following/watching Mel. Will we end up seeing this angel again in future episodes or is it a one time thing?

Ken's Speech

As Ken begins his speech at the ceremony, he looks directly at Mel as he mentions the human with black blood, and Mel starts to look worried. As he continues, Mel starts to look more worried and afraid. I think he did this not to only just play along with the fake egg act, but to also remind Mel of what her very existence means to the people of the Gaslight District.

She nearly died during the heist, and if anyone else finds out she's a human, they will kill her and she will not resurrect like the rest of them. So he did a scare tactic to let that fact sink into her head. He gaslighted her. Something most overprotective parents would do to make sure that their kids stay safe.

Berndy/Lonely Stars

I've been thinking about the ship for Andy and Bertie, dubbed as Berndy or Lonely Stars by hisnigo2006. I think it could have some parallels to Lumity from The Owl House. Bertie is like the opposite of Amity Blight. Amity was raised to be a straight-A overachiever who eventually changed for the better after meeting Luz Noceda and became her girlfriend. Bertie was neglected by her own parents and fruitlessly sought to get them back together. Things drastically changed for her when she met Andy, which unfortunately led to a tragic outcome for her.

If another season does come, will Bertie still resent Andy for what had happened or will she forgive her and try to change?
