More people need to hear this: all asexuals are valid, no matter where you fall under the umbrella, and no matter the "reason" you're asexual. You can be naturally ace, ace because of meds, ace because of dysphoria, ace because of trauma, ace because of a disease... Any reason that has an impact on your way to live your (a)sexuality, makes you a valid asexual and you're welcome in the community. Fuck the aphobes and the radicals who say otherwise.

I've hit 10,000 words on my novel!

(Okay yeah, not that big of an achievement, but when you are perpetually doomed to never finish anything as I am, its great)

I'm alive - I swear! I'm mainly lurking, getting stressed over house buying, irritating @lukanode, at rehearsals, at work, thinking endlessly about my OCs, sleeping, or playing D&D.

I'm also trying to finish my fic before GOS3 comes out and also trying to write my original novel whilst trying to not write the other 3,785 other books I have planned.

I'm in an endless washing machine cycle of listening to a song, obsessing over it, taking it and applying it to my own fictional characters - coming up with novel length AU's and then going on a spin cycle through them. Then I am tumble dried back to normality and then I start listening to songs again.

Rehearsals are going very well and it's all coming together really nicely! I'm so excited!

I try to keep personal things outside of fandom, well personal (apart from the odd funny thing my partner says), but I am far too excited to not talk about this!

I have an audition (I already have the part, this audition is a formality) this evening for a part in a play called Rotterdam, where I'll be playing a character called Lelani.

The play is about a lesbian couple living in Rotterdam (Alice and Fiona), Alice is about to send an email to her parents to come out as gay, but before she does - Fiona tells her that they think they are supposed to be a man.

The rest of the play centers around Fiona (who becomes Adrian) transitioning to male and how this makes Alice feel about her identity and sexuality. Pair that with a budding "friendship" with Dutch colleague Lelani and Adrian's brother/Alice's ex-boyfriend (long story) on the scene - it makes a really interesting story about gender, sexuality, love and finding home.

I'm so in love with the script and the comedic nature of it that I encourage you to check it out if you can! It's written by Jon Britain and I cannot wait to be in it! Undoubtedly bc I'm excited about it I'll post about it more as we go, but I wanted to tell people about it so you can go check it out yourselves.

In the meantime I'm gonna go break a leg!
