I did say I was going to maybe try making this trend work for Javert as well (ti ti ti ti, it was on tiktok maybe a month ago)
His life does not receive the light this trend on tiktok uses, (It usually goes from really dark to really bright from left to right) but for him I decided to just keep everything dark, the brightest point being him being a successful inspector, because in his mind that would probably be the highest point he could ever achieve.
From left to right, we have: kid Javert, young guard Javert, Inspector Javert, derailed Javert and Javert in the Seine

Javert et Gavroche (sequel no. 01-05)
The setting of this world is that Gavroche survived the barricade and Javert was saved after his suicide and with the help of Gavroche he managed to get over with his despair and confusion.
I just like the father-son type of relationship between them, anyway. :)

I guess, if I wanted to, especially with Les Misérables BBC, I could be like Javert could never understand why anyone would sacrifice themselves for another person, especially if that person is a stranger, especially if that person could cause harm in return.
Why would Valjean save a guard who could harm him?
Why would Valjean save Fauchelevent when that blew off his cover?
Why would Valjean save Fantine when it could mean ruining his good name?
Why would Valjean save Champ when it meant ruining himself and going back to prison hulks?
Why would Valjean save Javert and tell him his address when it would cause him his freedom?
Why would Valjean risk his life, give himself over to Javert willingly, just to save someone who would rob him of all of his happiness?
Seeing that, repeatedly, and each time cracking just a little bit more, Javert realises how wrong he has been all his life, and he has no other choice but to sacrifice himself so Jean Valjean could be free.

READ TILL THE END, I SWEAR IT'S IMPORTANT
The struggles of writing a les mis fanfiction are real
Like hell do you mean I gotta write "Once one spots a familiar face in a crowd of many, it cannot be easily dismissed. Like a falcon that has its eyes on a meek prey, like a raven who had once seen the shine of a precious jewel and is forever tempted by its gloss, the mind always finds its way back to that one person whose presence is just so haunting, that everyday matters are shifted to a secondary position" instead of "They so in love their brain don't work"
Like I just wanna fangirl come onnn
No but mad respect to all the fic writers and artists who put their whole heart into their works, You are one of the reasons I even have the drive to still create something, whether it's an original thing or a fanwork. Remember, your fics and art can really make a person's day, and you might be the very cause of somebody finding a ray of light in their day. You are the one who made them smile or motivate themselves to create.
I know it's corny, but I have to say this ; no matter what, I am really proud of you, and you are doing great, even if it just means keeping up a fight and chasing away some dark clouds or taking a needed rest.
Sending huggs to y'all and I wish you all the best in those hard times. ❤❤

i get what people mean when they say jean valjean was unjustly or unfairly put in prison but i feel like it's missing the point to say his sentence was an injustice. legally, his 19 years were 100% justified. he stole a loaf of bread and received the appropriate punishment of 5 years. he tried to escape and received the corresponding number of years each time. his total of 19 years was perfectly valid under the law. and that's hugo's point. the justice system is institutionally flawed. what is fair in the eyes of the law is not fair in the eyes of morality.

POLBRL HEAR US* OUT-
(*Me and my bestie)
Koncept: Raskolnikow tłumaczący Wokulskiemu jak popełnić zbrodnię
Raskolnikow i Wokulski spotykają się w Paryżu i mają pogadankę filozoficzną na temat wartości chrześcijańskich etc. Ogólnie Raskolnikow mówi mu o swojej teorii, a Wokulski dochodzi do wniosku, że Łęcka go ogranicza.

heartless💔
monsieur l'inspecteur learns to pull his head out of his ass
it’s difficult i know
heart made of silk and stuffed with sawdust (™)
