I have a number of albums and photocards I’m looking to sell, and this post will be for the rare items. I won’t include pictures for now, but hoping to update this post later. scamming update - please read

So around a few weeks ago I made some posts in regards to a recent string of accounts which had scammed various people. (you can read up on them here & here) There has finally been a document put together to highlight certain events and goings on. Apologies for it taking so long, but it’s not something I would do in haste. I spoke about this a lot with the scam moderator on photocard forum and she has given me the go ahead to post it up here and in due course this person will be added to the scammer thread on the forum. It’s quite long and complicated, it can be hard to get your head around (it certainly was for me). scammer update - please read

if some of you haven’t seen my earlier post regarding the scammer then please check it out here as it is really important that people do not keep getting sucked into their traps.

A few people have come forward with more information and it seems we have even more of a repeat offender than what I thought. This person (or people, bc it could be a group) has scammed under several different accounts:

There are probably more tbh. If you have had any interactions with any of these accounts please come forward. My ask box is open or alternatively you can email me or use the instant messaging feature here on tumblr. I have been informed that the scammer has been known for saying they are shipping from korea/japan, which we think is probably just so that you will hold off on opening a paypal case since in general people will expect mail to come from there a bit slower than say if the scammer was in the US for example. All of these accounts as you can see are using gmail email addresses - another pattern. gmail is probably the easiest option to make new email addresses hence why the scammer favours them. Since it seems that their past is catching up with them fast, it’s likely they might lay low for a while or indeed change their target. So be cautious of newbie sellers on instagram or twitter, in particular if they are selling any of these groups: BTS, iKON, Seventeen, Topp Dogg, BlockB, Exo, B.A.P With their earlier scamming accounts, they were stealing pictures off the internet. But with newer accounts like lisakworld, dollieemilk and kpopstatic, they were using pictures of items they actually had to hand. So stuff from their own collections. Which meant that they could provide you with personalised photoproof. But unfortunately, that didn’t mean anything in these cases. I cannot stress this enough that you have to be CAUTIOUS. Ask questions. Pay by goods/services. Ask for receipts and/or proof of shipment. Ask other fellow traders/collectors if they have purchased from this person before. Ask for feedbacks or a seller/trade history. DON’T be reeled in by their bs “need quick sale so selling for cheap”, or free shipping or bundle offers. They are going to extreme lengths to scam people with their copious amounts of accounts which like I said, it wouldn’t surprise me if there are more. Between myself and the scamming complaints manager on the photocard forum, we are tying up the loose ends.

So I’ve been contemplating whether or not to post this because as of right now, I do not have concrete evidence. But much rather a few instances which I find to be a little more than coincidental. Recently there has been a number of scammers and I believe that quite a few of them have been the same person. They are using pictures found on the internet or using pictures from their own collection (but obviously not sending them out). With these scammers, I have noticed a pattern. They are almost always new tumblrs (so we’re talking not anymore than a few weeks old and with very few posts). And these new blogs always had a Russian title which said “Untitled”. But our scammer is now aware of that and won’t be making that mistake again :) Because I informed someone of this - someone who was looking for information about any possible scammings and insisted on sharing information -  and magically the next day, the blog title of the most recent scamming blog changed. Funny, huh? Not to mention, these tumblrs get deleted and disappear after only a matter of weeks. There are other things, but I am currently in talks with someone from the photocard forum about this and don’t want to reveal anything just yet. The most recent one was the kpopstatic blog. kpopstatic was a new blog, but it was actually a sideblog. The “main” blog is the one which followed the pattern as I mentioned before - new blog, Russian title. This blog didn’t even have any content whatsoever and the url a randomised one from tumblr (which we have seen them use this type of url before) Heh, they were getting pretty lazy it seems. kpopstatic was selling BTS items - including rare items for cheap prices - as well as other groups such as Topp Dogg, iKON, WINNER, Seventeen & BlockB to name a few. similar items/groups that users 4091235h and dollieemilk also “sold”. And yes, these blogs were also new and Russian titled. Which leads me to believe our dear scammer is Russian. But like I said, this scammer is aware of it now. After I reported to someone about these similarities and my suspicions, the next day when I checked back to the MAIN blog of kpopstatic, which was user 19a43092, the blog title had changed from “Без названия” to “&&&”. So, I think it’s safe to assume our scammer is located in Russian and is a fan of the above groups. So I urge you to be cautious of purchasing anything from a new tumblr, especially if they have rare items for cheap prices. Now it’s not always an indicator that when someone is selling something for cheap, it means it isn’t legit. But just be cautious. Use the goods/services on paypal just incase. I believe this scammer is a BTS fan, since those three accounts mentioned above were primarily selling BTS items. It could very well be that there are other accounts linked to this same person. If anyone has any information on purchases they have made from any of the above mentioned “sellers”, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I have informed the photocard forum and currently in talks with the admin who deals with scammers. Don’t be reeled in by the cheap prices or free shipping or whatever else bullshit they might try next. Take a step back and think about it before you make a purchase. And please use the ask box if you have information!

I honestly hate double standards. A few days ago I was about to buy a set of cards and the seller was happy enough to hold them for me til I put money in my bank. I did as planned, emailed back when I said I would and asked a few questions including some more photos of the cards before I was gonna transfer the money. They sent me the pictures, fine. But not even an hour later right when I'm about to transfer the cash they email to say they have decided not to sell the cards anymore... How do you get to that stage and then decide not to sell anymore?? To which of course I was really pee'd off about. Who wouldn't be? What's even better is that only a few days later and they put them up on here again lol And they said they would let me know if they plan to sell later (which ofc, they didn't...) Okay then. If this had been me, the buyer, backing out of a sale after asking the seller to hold onto the cards etc I don't think they would have been too happy about it.
