Be the annoying language learner. Point to things and ask what they are. Make people repeat their sentences. Ask people to speak slower. Make someone explain a rule you don’t understand, even if its something they’ve already explained before. Ask if there is a better way to say something even if you were understood by the speakers of the language. Make people wait while you write down new words. You’ll never improve if you don’t have the courage to be a pest, people don’t mind as much as you think they do and if they truly mind, they’re toxic to you’re learning and you should find others who will be patient and understanding.
