No yeah I agree, ever since alexia was introduced i knew they were gonna do some type of love trope with her and heron,

I honestly wish they kept alexia as a friend. I really like how she was portrait in season 1 however I didn’t like how she kinda lost her independent mindset when the seasons continued.

I mean they kinda didn’t really end up together at the end when heron died.. a win is a win? I know it feels season 3 was so rushed that’s why I don’t see it as canon just some alternative universe (since Netflix is an evil greedy corporation.) so I heavily believe the ending to Boz is anything that the user wishes it to be :3🫶

Personally I like to think they are best friends NO HATE TO THE SHIP BTW! Please don’t come at me or the poster to this blog gang! Lots of loveee!! 🫶🫶🫶

It pissed me off that they killed kofi, I loved him so much. I ALSO HATED THE FACT KOFI DIDNT EVEN GET MENTIONED AT THE END OF THE LAST EPISODE LIKE BE SO FOR REAL.

Alright, so as requested, Kofi won the poll. So, let's get started. These are my thoughts on Kofi's death and overall involvement in the narrative of Blood of Zeus.

Disclaimer: This is just my honest opinions, and I appreciate if you guys don't hound me for my opinions. Please and thank you.

Okay, before we start, I just need to address this. I wanted to say I am sorry; this took so long everyone. After getting back from my vacation, I had to get back into the norm. But other than that, I want to thank you guys for reading this post. Now on with the show.

From this miniseries we have covered the deaths of Ares, Hephaestus, and Persephone. The only ones we have yet to cover are Kofi and Heron. Thankfully, because of the majority vote, we are finally at Kofi. One of my favorite cinnamon rolls, and the ONLY African American man on this show.

In the show Blood of Zeus, Kofi easily became one of the many beloved characters from this series. A man whose charm and personality captured, audience's hearts. Well, mainly mine because Kofi was super sweet and funny at times. However, seriously WHY DID THEY HAVE TO KILL THE MAN OFF?! As a black person, I am offended. Like they just HAD to kill the ONLY black guy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

Anyway, before I officially start to reopen some wounds. Let's run through how this works first, for the newcomers.

So, if anyone is not familiar with how this works. It goes as follows; I will go over four different sections concerning the character's death from season 3. I will go over their death, their sacrifice, their remembrance, and if their character potential was in fact wasted among the narrative. Then at the end, I will give a list of what I would've done differently to the character's story if I rewritten it. However, since Kofi doesn't have a remembrance scene like the others do. Still, I will put something in that section but will put in there what I think should've been seen or somewhat. With that being said without further ado.

Here are my thoughts on Kofi's death and involvement in the story narrative.

When we meet Kofi, the man was introduced to us in season 1, episode 4. Where his calm and gentle nature made him a fan favorite. Plus, the chemistry he had between his partner in crime, Evios was something to delight in too.

Up first on the list is Kofi's death. Just a little recap, in season 3, episode 6. Heron and his team go to the home of the wind gods to acquire Harmonia's necklace. I want to bribe Charon to allow Gorgo to cross the River Styx and hopefully go to the Elysium Fields for her safety. However, while they were there, a titaness pitted them against each other, and the only way that they defeated her was through Kofi. Who killed her and him to allow his friends to complete their mission and remove an annoying foe? As I have said before, WHY DID THEY HAVE TO KILL OFF THE ONLY BLACK GUY?! Like, WHERE IS THE JUSTICE?! Personally, I feel attacked, in some way. Believe what you want, I will do whatever.

Next up is Kofi's sacrifice, I have got to say. Kofi had a really great sacrifice, and his mindset for going out was unfortunate, but sweet at the same time. Like he lost his wife a long time ago, and now he gets to rejoin her in the afterlife. Which is heartbreakingly sweet. Leaving him to have no regrets about what he was about to do. Kofi, you are awesome.

Third is Kofi's remembrance. Sadly, Kofi never was shown to have a moment of remembrance like Ares, Hephaestus, Persephone, and Heron do. However, that doesn't mean in some way he wasn't remembered for his sacrifice. Even though we don't see this I have no doubt that Evios, held a mini self-service for his best friend.

Finally, was Kofi the victim of wasted character potential? Kind of, to some extent. I feel like Kofi had already amazing character potential, I would've said that with 100% full confidence IF the show didn't drop a new set of lore for Kofi that I feel like should've been explored more. Or at least expanded upon in the right way. For a refresher, we learned that Kofi had a wife that was killed by her jealous ex betrothed. Then Kofi was sold into slavery. Me personally, I feel like if the show continued on like it was supposed to. Then we could've explored more of the characters backgrounds. So, I do believe more could've been done for Kofi's character. To where we as the audience, could love him more than we already do.

Now we have reached the part of the section where I write what I would've done for Kofi's character in the story's narrative.

I would've made Blood of Zeus have all 5 seasons. So, we could've expended on Kofi's character.

I would've dived more into Kofi's past and background more.

Would've shown some scenes with his wife.

I would totally dedicate an episode to Kofi alone. Like if we can have one for Hades and Persephone, along with Seraphim than why not one for Kofi?

Lastly, let me see a scene with Kofi being remembered by Evios.

In conclusion, I feel like we should've seen more of Kofi. But I do believe that Kofi was an amazing character that we have seen in the show. RIP Kofi, you will always be our, (or at least mine), sweet cinnamon roll.
