It isn’t everyday a new shop like this opens and your bubbly curiosity of friend would always take the opportunity to try something new. After all, it was his style; hopping from place to place to test it out, like the wind you would muse to him to which he would always laugh but never deny.

It’s a quaint little shop on a street corner, not too far from your campus that you are currently considering making it a potential lunch spot for breaks. The atmosphere is cozy when you enter the shop and if it weren’t for Venti’s grandiose waving you would have never guessed there’d be other people joining you.

“I already ordered stuff for us to try,” Venti says when he forces a break in his conversation to inform you, “Okay, but what about city girls meeting country guys? That’s a classic!” Half-listening and snickering along to what they were saying, you skim down the place not looking for anything in particular. It seemed to mainly been a sweets shop with a few savory snacks so you were certain what drew Venti to this place.

You lean to the left and rest your head on your hand, almost tipping over when Aether shakes your shoulder to get your opinion. “Hm? I like the Christmas one.”

“They’re all in during Christmas!” Is the only thing they seem to agree on saying. You laugh and shrug your shoulders, realizing then that another person had walked up to your table. His eyes are on his phone and don’t leave as he takes a seat. You didn’t consciously do so but your body tenses when you realize who it was.

“The food didn’t come yet?” Xiao asks as he locks and tucks his phone in his back pocket. Aether shakes his head and makes a face.

“You took a long shit, I could smell it from here.” He doesn’t dodge the foot kicking his shin fast enough and barely conceals his yelp of pain. Xiao shakes his head, scoffing when his eyes land on you.

“Oh, hey.” He greets. If he weren’t associated with the other two you would have found this place to be out of character for him. You grin back.

“Hi.”

There’s a brief moment of silence, as the other duo finished their debate that they had enough time to share a look that you two hadn’t noticed. Luckily a server comes by with the food before the silence had time to really settle in. She bids you all to enjoy before rushing back to another table.

“Anyway, I know you guys were the only free ones today so that’s why you’re here,” Venti starts, taking a sip of his drink, “and it’s on me.” He smiles but the three of you aren’t so easily swayed. “What? Why are you all looking at me like that?”

“It better be.”

“You have a job?”

“Am I dreaming?”

The musician gapes at all of you who return to your own plates when deciding that he’s had enough teasing for the day. In retaliation, the entire time you’re there he picks off food from the sides of your dishes, only managing the least from Xiao’s. It was worth the effort.

Speaking of, you didn’t expect his dish to be so… sweet-looking. It looked similar to the almond tofu that he kept in the fridge only with little balls of green, pink, and white jelly with it. You never knew him to be a picky eater, well with all the food you’ve been making that you are sure he eats everything of (at the expense of your own embarrassment), but you swear there’s a hint of a smile on his face.

You don’t know why you’re suddenly staring but it’s nice to see your roommate in a different light that you feel off for not seeing it sooner. Seeing as you live together, all things considered. But you must have been staring too long that the next time you dart your attention from his dish to his eyes you’re met with them looking right at your own.

There’s a slight raise of a brow on his part and what you absolutely did not expect was the slight push of his plate your way and a gesture from his fork to try it.

“Really?” You ask.

“You’ve been staring at it. Try it.” He gestures once more. You reach over with your utensil and scoop a good amount to taste test. It was a lot sweeter than you anticipated, but this was just a menial surprise on top of what had just happened. “How is it?” He asks you, returning his attention back to his dish.

“Good,” You mutter and you barely catch that slight quirk of his lips again.

Well, that made your next decision much easier to have a motivation for.

so i’ve come to the revelation that i’m not as deep into genshin writing as i was before. and it’s not the same on the sense that i have motivation to write just not for genshin. but that might change later again bc why not

i will, however, be finishing DYWC and a diluc longshot — after which i’ll see where i am in terms of wanting to continue with genshin writing

other than that, regardless of if i continue or not, i’m making another blog (it’s a secret so if u find me, u find me :)) to write for jujutsu kaisen

It's kinda weird to think about but I believe you're what got me into Genshin. I remember seeing it a lot early last year but I only looked it up after randomly stumbling across your works (I think the first thing I read was your kissing headcanons but it was your "it’s enough to have you in my arms" piece with Xiao that got me interested enough to Google the game/Xiao). hi im back. this was supposed to be for valentines day but yk ;-;

they’re the best of the best, 1000% reliable (some of the time, on top of their work (most of the time), and skilled in their positions (all the time). being the class president has its perks with meeting people like this but in this universe life has granted you an ultimatum,

time for some love in the air.

the stoic but kindhearted vp: diluc ragnvindr. now, he’s the first person you go to, or quite frankly the first who comes to you, when there’s trouble brewing and the pressure of student council life it too much to bear on top of your schooling. he’s there by your side, standing or leaning against your large desk with his arms crossed, overlooking the papers spread in front of you. he’s a warm body too, sometimes towering over your shoulder especially during the winter months just to notice you gravitating closer to him. he’s not the vp for nothing and even almost beat you out with the number of votes he accumulated (but it was a separate campaign for president and vp so you were safe, at least.) he provides helpful insight and advice where it’s blunt when you ask for it or a little sugarcoated when you don’t.

he’s the type to try and take a lot of the workload off you outright, even going as far as to physically walk to your desk and grab the pen you’ve practically molded into your hands. if you decline, he looks at you with those eyes that burn with a fiery “let me help you.” and somehow he never looks troubled by the extra workload. maybe it’s because he’s used to handling many affairs considering him being next in line to inherit his father’s wine empire. but he’d never let it slip that he does it not only to help you, but to witness that relief and small smile of gratitude on your face directed specifically at him and him alone.

the mischievous but playful secretary: kaeya alberich. he’s a bit of a pain when it comes to work and most of his responses to those claims are that “well, we’re just in school” (everyone might pity who he comes to work with in the future should he have such a job). he never seems to be trying to hard with any of his tasks but somehow they end up complete and never in a half manner. he slides completed event receipts and manila folders with organized planning that doesn’t seem like it had taken only an hour of study hall. but he gives them to you with a smirk that you wish you could wipe off and if it weren’t for the contents he’d given you, you would have done just that.

he’s not one to shy away from physical touch, with your consent of course. and with the couple of years you have gotten to know each other he’s noticed that you’ve become more comfortable around him, whether it be allowing him to play with your hand as you go over documents or resting on each others shoulders when lounging in the common room on a break. he’ll send playful compliments your way (telling you how well you’re doing as president or your appearance) and he hopes thay one day you’ll realize that his words hold a real, genuine meaning.

the adamant but tempered treasurer: ajax tartaglia. don’t be deterred by his laidback and seemingly cheery personality. while he holds the air of no responsibility, he’s actually quite trustworthy with his dedicated tasks. you need the tallies for your monthly budget? already ready and placed on your desk by the end of the day. need to lay off the math for a period? calculator (and brain) on standby. he may not seem like the ideal person for this position, being an ex-delinquent not helping his reputation all that much, but it works.

you won’t ever have to worry about any students bothering you either. just because you’re the president doesn’t mean you’re immune to all that, sadly. despite there being the others, he’s the most intimidating. he’ll glare at rude people, eyeing them with a harsh glance. but sometimes you wonder why he’s doing such at a nice person in front of you. he’a tapping his pencil on a notepad, glasses perched on his nose as he huffs at the sight of an obviously flirty student stealing your attention. the weight of his gaze was enough to distract you from the harsh blush on his face and burning jealousy wafting about him.

the easygoing but observant historian: kaedehara kazuha. being a transfer in the middle of the year definitely makes it difficult to try to even get a postion on the council, but it happens. he’s a mysterious guy, never sharing too much or too little about himself but you can see how much he enjoys his position. the way he writes quickly but gracefully into his notepad that you gifted him as a welcome on his first day, and how fast he pulls out his laptop to record the events. he’s been asked to join the yearbook or photography club for his love in capturing moments but he declines. no one really knows why. a historian really records important dates and school logistics. but he, he makes it meaningful.

it’s a nice and peaceful time when you two are alone in the council room together. the scratch of graphite on paper, pages rustling, or taps on a keyboard are the sounds that fill the space but once in a while he comes up to you with a new, torn out page. not from what you gave him, of course, and on that page is a single date and three words slipping past his lips. you look at him, tilting your head to the side as he smiles down at you. it’s pretty straightforward, a little letter with a lot to say. it’s an important event, maybe not yet for yet, but at least for him. are you busy? he asks.

anyway, waiting for a few days until yuzuru hanyu skates bc i now have a new hobby which watching figure skating on youtube :D
