i think alan wake fanbase should take more advantage of the implications of how the dark place works and what it means for the "canon".

in doom 2016, the game tells us that Hell is a sort of "hub" for the dimensions, where you can teleport between every dimension there is - which fans interpreted that to mean that every doom game, every fan map, every doomguy aperence in any media - its all canon, he just went to a different unvierse.

In AW2 we learn that the Dark Place works in a simmilar way, beign a multidimensional space, and that Alan has spent the last 13 years trying desperatly to get out - which to me means that his every apperence is in fact canon as one of his countless attempts of escape.

American Nightmare is already shown to be canon as one of such "drafts". But we can do more! Dead By Daylight? Alan wrote about another nightmare dimension. Fortnite skin? He thought a battle royale ripoff would be a way to go. EVERY SINGLE FANFIC? Yeah alan wrote them. Not sure why, but he did. Possiblites are litterally endless, we can even claim that everything illka villi appeared in was in fact orchestrated by wake. We need to be crazier fellaz.
