would you please describe how you think the criston-aemond podcast would go.... who would the have on as guests. would they invite aegon...

so it’s supposed to be about being a high value tradseven male and how women these days desecrate the very image of the maiden and the mother by not respecting themselves. occasional tangents on knighthood, sword violence, chastity, misinterpreted intro-level philosophy, and how Visenya Targaryen could’ve conquered dorne if she had gotten instead of rhaenys. 

Criston by vows has to just be a yes man the whole time and only really engages when it’s time to call rhaenyra a cunt or talk about the virtues of not jacking off. Aemond keeps interrupting to talk about how he could totally take his uncle in a sword fight and would be a better king. Aegon was in the bonus episode that they recorded at the lucerys is dead party but none of the rest of it because he kept calling them virgins and it hurt aemonds feelings so somehow their most frequent guests are whichever member of the Green council is unfortunate enough to be in the same room, or Daeron who is just excited that one of his family members wants to spend time with him. Cregan Stark makes the lads listen to it because Aemond usually accidentally reveals where they are because they’re complaining about the scenery too much.

uuuuh okay thoughts about S2E1 (disclaimer: SPOILERS! and some unpopular opinions bc i WILL be criticizing alicent). most of these i had during my watch yesterday, and now i’m elaborating on them after more thinking about it. looooong post ahead

okay i liked the new intro. i will miss the blood pouring but i think the tapestries are a more visual way to convey targaryen history.

my favorite parts were the shot of vhagar and balerion in the field of fire(? idk they were eating men (green dragon black dragon !!!), the jaehaerys and alysanne portrait, alicent and rhaenyra and aegon and rhaenyra crowned side by side. beautiful.

also, the blood beneath the thread !!! targaryen history is written in blood. never forget this.

i dont particularly like jace being at the wall. it makes little sense to me, especially because the north is massive and i don’t think that cregan would like to make a procession to the wall just because a prince is there. i liked the tidbits though: jon going to the watch is a tradition he followed unknowingly :)

also, this is TYLAND LANNISTER, the most employed guy ever. he literally put his skin on the fire for his team, he’s loyal and he’s the best ally the greens could’ve asked for. if anyone is to thank for the death of the dragons, it’s him. put some respect on his name because this is the finance bro to end all finance bros.

also he’s always saying important things: the treasure in the green council, jason’s moves here. please listen to him!

another thing i dislike is the way important political moves are being brushed off. the treasure is a big big matter. it should be said explicitly what the council is doing about it being the focus of the scene. i’m sure most casual viewers didn’t catch that the comedic relief is making big money moves that will backfire later.

but anyways jaehaerys is so cute hehe

okay i dislike otto here. aegon is obviously into crowd pleasing (a secret tool that will be useful later) and for once it’s okay. jerard will go home with his sheep and be a diehard aegon supporter and raise his kids to be the same, tell his friends about the king’s generosity. i think otto should know better than to angry the population in time of war, even if you can’t make the flock whole, give the man grain or coin so he can feed his family and the effort of going to the king’s house.

another otto slander moment here. i don’t think it’s wise to chastise the king (an adult, mind you) and putting himself in between of aegon and the court like that. did we saw otto with viserys? he sat by his side and whispered his advice in a discreet manner. he didn’t try and strongarmed his king in front of dozens of people. that’s not a smart way of doing things. it’s called soft power for a reason

also, i think the directors were trying to make otto parallel tywin in that joffrey in the throne scene, but tywin was explicitly trying to get joffrey to be more involved in the council and the two were alone. give it to aegon, let him have his fun in public and manipulate him in private, that is the way. doing dumb shit like that only makes aegon look like a kid and otto like a shameless powergrabbing dude

one thing i appreciate is that aegon has his own court. he has his lads-in-waiting, he has a few ladies following behind, and that’s how a king should be. we always saw the royal kids isolated (joff, tommen, rhaenyra only had alicent) when in reality most important people will have a flock of people accompanying them every day.

now that’s what i’m talking about. larys is all about being subtle, honey trapping his way to power. that’s how the game of thrones is played. while aegon will not agree with him just like that (because larys gives him the oogies), i’m sure he will remember larys’ words.

why you always pretend to not understand what people are telling you in order to flip everything to your liking? 😭 Viserys has valyrian blood because he is a targaryen, and the only two other house with the same blood is velaryon and celtigar. Alicent's blood descended from the Andals, which is shared with most of the houses of Westeros apart from those three exceptions mentioned. The Valarian minority makes their blood more valuable. If alicent had she been to Valyria, thw situation would have been the same (her having andal blood wound have made her more valuable since she would have been surrounded by valyrian blood). So yes, alicent’s blood is not comparable as viserys as it show in hotd intro, and this isn't necessarily a bad thing like you interpreted

visenya is a woman with only one ambition ― she wants to see the targaryen dynasty return to its former glory. she is against the peace treaty because she believes her house should rule the entirety of westeros, not just the south. vi sees herself as the one willing to do the dirty work for this to happen. while many see her as reckless and boisterous, not always fitting the ideal of a princess but nonetheless seemingly kind, she is really quite manipulative and ruthless. despite this, there are few people she holds dear to her heart. most of these are her siblings, or others loyal to house targaryen, but somehow she has also managed to make friends outside house targaryen. visenya is difficult to truly befriend, but if you succeed, she is an incredible loyal and fierce friend. many people believe themselves to be friends of the targaryen princess but few truly are. while most of westeros has been fooled by the mask visenya wears, her family has not. they know her heart and her ambition, having seen it grow steadily throughout her life. in her younger years, she went through what she calls ‘the years of silliness’ where she was softer and genuinely kind at times. no one, but one of her brothers, knows that she fell in love and even got betrothed in secret during this period of her life. it did not end well and visenya’s heart only grew darker by the end of it.

visenya was born as the fifth child and second daughter of king rhaegal targaryen, the third of his name, and his first wife, queen tyanna targaryen (formerly caron). born into a home of so many targaryen children, it was easy to feel overseen. however, instead of shying away and being content with being a middle child, visenya just got louder and more boisterous. she would always follow around her older siblings, running after them, making trouble. after the passing of her mother, visenya struggled a lot with controlling her emotions. she had multiple angry outbursts, some that led to mirrors, glasses and vases being smashed. at the time, it was thought her anger was just masking her grief. during these terrible tantrums, the only ones who could calm her down were her father, uncle and her siblings. several servants left the employ of the royal family during this time because of visenya, they nicknamed her “the beast” due to her wild behaviour.

when the septa and maester would tell stories about the targaryens of the past, visenya would sit and listen with eagerness. as a child, it was one of the only times she would sit still and be quiet. she has always been very proud to be a targaryen with valyrian features. instead of admitting that she felt an eternal restlessness most of her life, she told herself it was just the blood of the dragon boiling inside her. instead of having problems controlling her anger, it was the dragon roaring inside her. vi repeated that enough times until she fully believed it.

visenya was not an easy child to raise, but as she grew older, she became more aware of the duties her title as princess entailed. she was still reckless and often too loud, but she learned some manners and how to behave as a princess. it was not always she fancied behaving like she should, but as she entered her teenage years she got more comfortable with dancing, conversing with other nobles and lowering her voice. she even managed to become quite eloquent at times. vi also learned her title was tied with a certain amount of power, one she liked. visenya has always taken pleasure in giving people orders, but she loathed receiving them from her parents or older siblings. 

in her early twenties, she met lukas harlaw and she fell deeply in love with him. it surprised her as she had not considered that she had the ability to fall in love. the love she felt for him was passionate and intense. vi realised that it was not only anger and grief she felt so deeply but love too. she became enamoured with him, so lost she was in that love that she was ready to surrender everything. her title, her family, her home, even her name. all the things that mattered most to her, she suddenly felt capable of giving up for a life with him. so when he proposed, she said yes. it was scary and exciting, but it all ended in heartbreak as he abandoned her, saying none of it had been real. luckily for vi, no one, but her sibling, realised what she had come close to doing. as she drank moon tea that she managed to smuggle into the keep, she decided that love were for fools. her heart hardened after that and she went back to being the visenya everyone knew. her friends and family had teased her that she was going soft, but soon they teased her no more about that. 

she mourned the passing of her father, but she also saw it as a possibility. a new start for the targaryens, one where total targaryen rule might be a possibility. 

⇝ HEADCANONS 

visenya likes whittling and carving little figurines out of wood, she always carry around the black dagger gifted to her by someone she loves. she has created a set of all the sigils of the great houses, hidden away in her desk along with a map of westeros. sometimes at night, she takes it out and go through the loyalties of all the houses and the number of soldiers each house could possibly produce.    

she is quite a good fighter, she is not strong but she is very fast. a sword does not suit her well as it’s too heavy, but she is deadly with the dagger that she has on her at all times. since hosting the kingdoms in king’s landing, she has been determined to get better with the sword and can often be find sparring in the courtyard. vi has been trained by the person who was the first to recognise her skill as a fast fighter.  

ironically, vi has a reputation in westeros for being kind and fun, if a little high-spirited and unladylike. a few know the “real” visenya targaryen, but despite rumours here and there, no one has managed to convince the rest of westeros that she is bad news. but with every gathering more and more people see who the she-dragon really is.   

almost every morning, when possible, she takes a morning ride through the city. she is always followed by a handful of guards. there seems to be no logic in where she chooses to go, but the guards claim her eyes are always searching for someone.    

it is rare to find visenya in anything but black and red outfits. during the day, she often wears a tunic and pants, but in company and at night, she wear dresses often heavily adorned with targaryen motifs. her favourite dresses give the illusion of dragon scales.   

the secret betrothal was the second betrothal to be broken, vi was informally betrothed when she was eighteen. despite the people of westeros not knowing about the secret betrothal, she has garnered quite the reputation for avoiding marriage. most people believe it is because she is picky, but in reality, she has a hard time accepting that she will lose her targaryen name and she refuses to be loyal to any other house than house targaryen. she is not happy about being a pawn in her brother’s idea to create alliance with the other kingdoms ― unless it entails that said kingdom bend the knee to house targaryen.      

the court is abuzz with rumours about the potential husbands for the princess who is slowly drifting away from her prime, it has not escaped the notice of the court that she is still not betrothed despite soon entering her thirties.  

she is blessed with a sweet singing voice but she rarely sings. vi claims to find the ballads the bards sing horrendous, but sometimes at night, she find herself singing them anyway ― but she plans on taking that secret with her to the grave.

throughout her life, visenya has sneaked out of the red keep by using a forgotten exit underneath the keep. when she does this, she takes ashes from the fireplace in her room and darkens her silver hair with them to avoid being recognised. she has crafted a whole other persona for when she does this, calling herself vera, claiming to be part of a merchant’s crew.

aelyra targaryen - she's alysanne and jaehaerys' second daughter, she was born in 54 AC, a year after daenaerys and she dies in 129 AC just a few minutes after viserys dies. she ends up marrying both aemon and baelon and she's the mother of rhaenys, viserys, daemon and an oc visenya ii.

visenya ii targaryen - she's aelyra and aemon's youngest child and the youngest all together. she has a bit of a romance with daemon in her younger years before he married rhea royce and she ends up married to cregan stark and becomes the lady of winterfell. she has a known hatred for alicent that she refuses to talk about.

baelon ii targaryen - he's the only child of daemon targaryen and rhea royce, this kind of came from the idea of 'what if rhea and daemon did have a child together'. in some verses, daemon knows about his son but doesn't know how to properly connect with a child that came from someone he hates and in other verses he never knows until rhea dies. baelon ends up in the care of viserys and alicent. he ends up becoming one eye instead of aemond and he has love interests in aegon, aemond, helaena. in the main verse he ends up married to a baratheon girl but sometimes he ends up married to helaena. in total he ends up having eight children. five with his baratheon wife and three with helaena.

diana royce-targaryen - she's the daughter of rhea royce and daemon targaryen. (you can find her intro post HERE)

cerise lannister - she's aegon ii's wife in this verse. she's the younger sister of tyland and jason lannister. she has a stern personality. she hates cheaters and gamblers. she has a bit of a manipulative streak and likes to egg people on because she thinks it's fun to see them angry. she has her own lion named, leopold.

vivian tyrell - the rose of highgarden, she ends up as daeron's wife in this verse. she's a lovely girl with an eye for flowers but she's also very skilled in the art of fighting and dislikes it when men other than her husband try to touch her. she's well versed in the art of poison.

eloise baratheon - she's the youngest baratheon sister, a very naive and innocent girl who has never actually seen the outside world because of her isolation at the hand of her father and sisters. she's the spitting image of her deceased mother, causing an obsession over her to form between her father and her sisters. eloise goes on to become aemond's wife after he becomes obsessed with her sweetness.

daella targaryen + daella iii targaryen - daella i targaryen was aegon, visenya, and rhaenys' youngest sister and ended up being aegon's thrid wife due to the obsession her older siblings held over her. she had four children with aegon who's fates remain unknown. daella herself dies in dragonstone, just a year before visenya.

daella iii targaryen is the fourth targaryen child, and alicent's second daughter. the soul of daella i entered her body after she was born a stillborn and that almost death in the eyes of the public caused alicent to develop paranoia and a deep obsession and possession over her youngest daughter. daella iii lives out her life under the obsession of her family while trying to navigate her surroundings.

ysilla martell - a princess of dorne that was fostered by king jaehaerys, she ends up married to baelon and has two children with him. ysilla is very standoffish, she uses jokes to hide how awkward she is when it comes to affection, she doesn't show her love very easily because she doesn't really know how so she just showers her loved ones in her wealth.

Daelaenys Targaryen - she's my immortal targaryen oc. daelaenys' mother was a skilled witch who was skilled in black magic. she performed a ritual that gave her daughter immortality at the cost of her own life. so daelaenys can't die, at all. trust her, she's tried everything and she's still living. she's daenys the dreamers great-great grandmother and now lives in seclusion after being kidnapped by visenya and then escaping. she lives in godswood. those who seek her out will never be able to find her. she's very cold and disgruntled. mushroom gave her the nickname of undying blizzard because of her white hair, colder than ice nature and her immortality.

Lisenya Targaryen/Little Dove: lisenya is the daughter of rhaenyra and ser criston cole. depending on the au, she either grows up as rhaenyra and laenor's child or she grows up and alicent or viserys' child.

in the latter au, alicent steals lisenya from her crib after she feels a deep connection with the child and lisenya grows up being loved and adored by the green. lisenya is a dragon dreamer but different than helaena, rather than dream about general events, lisenya only dreams about her future and can only remember it long enough to paint it and then she forgets it.

NYMERIA MARTELL WAS A MISTAKE. Never supposed to exist. It was meant to be Rhaenys, Aegon, and Visenya. 

Elia Martell, the mother of the new Targaryen Dynasty. 

And then Rhaegar runs away with the Stark girl and Elia is cleaved in two by the Mountain, her children following her into the afterlife. With the exception of her final mistake before leaving this world.

A child. A bastard.

Born of love and smuggled out of King's Landing before the Siege, Nymeria Martell is the last living reminder of Elia Martell. The last tie to the Targaryen dynasty everyone was promised.

Except she is not a Targaryen.

It takes Doran Martell no time at all to formulate a plan once the news of Jon Arryn's death hits Sunspear, a plan which involves sending his beloved niece north under the pretense of betrothing her to Robb Stark. But he doesn't understand the vitriol she holds for that family. The life she'd had stolen from her. 

To Nymeria, the north is a punishment, and it is inevitable.

But she refuses to go down without a fight. She is the only ray of sunshine to grace the north in what seems to be a thousand years, and she will prove herself to be as fierce as her namesake, giving life and new meaning to the words, Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken.

i don't like the children to be aemond's because I'm a low key hater of his characterisation in the show lol.

dude is visenya 2.0, hell he even gets her dragon. and Ryan and co. make him this dutiful guy that is supposed to be walmart daeron? nah, miss me with that shit, if he was like book!aemond it would make more sense in my head. aemond in the books is way more reckless than show!aemond IMHO.

and it's not even about helaena, she can fuck whoever she wants, you go girl!!!! but I believe that my girl would be smarter than that? tbf, I think all characters besides rhaenyra wouldn't be that dumb. (i know the kids would look the same, but still having v*serys as a father, after seeing how he treated aemond losing his eye, I personally wouldn't risk it)

i have to say that you're not the first anon who's disgruntled that, out of aegon & aemond, they chose aemond as the character to make more sympathetic. i think you are right in that aemond was given some of daeron's traits; it is very likely that they did not intend to include daeron at all, so they preferred to mesh these two characters as a compromise. in any case, they must have fought over it; perhaps it is one of the reasons miguel sapochnik left - grrm even gave a public declaration that daeron WILL be included and when the time came to design the intro, they DID include 4 rivulets of blood streaming out of alicent to signify her 4 children, as they did with helaegon's 3 children, even though only the twins appear in S1.

so, yeah, it's fair to say mewmond came about as a result of a compromise. that being said, i'd be lying if i said i didn't love what they did with his character. i'd even go so far as to say that it was the right decision to make commercially as well, because he became vv popular with v little screen time. even team black stans keep trying to steal him from us. i don't have a problem with making characters more sympathetic - team black included - what bothers me is the ridiculous bias. generally-speaking, i always like it a lot more when they make the characters out to be more human and understandable, even when they're antagonistic.

there is also the fact that, from a geographical POV, they couldn't really focus on daeron in S1 either, bc he's canonically in oldtown and they couldn't have brought him to KL without performing significant changes to the plot and complicating themselves. SO, taking into account the whitewashing of team black as it is, if they would have made aemond less sympathetic, the two sides would have ended up even more imbalanced.

anyway, what i actually wanted to say is that the characterization they did give aemond makes a lot of sense even in book-context. the maester writing FB is clearly not interested in fleshing out aemond as a person, this is a history textbook, but it is believable to me that aemond would have incurred a lot of psychological and physical damage as a result of his eye being slashed out. and idk it's just more interesting to lean into that side instead of making him a terrorist child from the get-go. this absolutely does not contradict any of the fucked up shit he'll do later on in the series, it's more about progression and descent into madness

visenya was born a bastard to the princess of dorne and the prince of the 7 kingdoms. They were young and passionately in love. When her mother realised she was pregnant, the prince begged her to come with him to king’s landing. since he was already betrothed to lady arryn and knew that his family needed the alliance, the honourable prince couldn’t abandon his duty, yet he wanted to be able to provide direct support to the woman he loved and his child.

her mother’s family had been staunchly against her going, not wanting her to be in danger in the capital, they begged her to raise her child in Dorne. She went against her family, and went with the prince regardless.

They were a happy family for a little while, with her father adoring baby visenya, until the prince died. 

the position of the princess and her young daughter was left unsure, but the king was quick to take them under his protection. 

visenya was a bright child, too smart for her own good. her mother found her own political footing at court, while visenya became interested in the workings of government

when her grandfather saw visenya pouring over books until late in the night, taking such an interest in court life, he saw his eldest son in her. 

he decided that just as he had trained his sons, he would train his granddaughter. many believe that this was not due to any potential that he might have seen in her, but a result of the increase in her mother’s power over the court. 

visenya was a diligent student, always hungry to learn, to understand. as she grew older, there was definitely an innate need to find glory in her. inside the walls of the red keep, no one had let her feel the impact of her status as a bastard, out of fear for her mother mostly, but she found out that outside, a different world awaited. 

she wanted to show how capable she could be, but being queen was nowhere near her mind. ambitious, she wanted to serve on her uncle’s small council, be of service to the realm and so she worked hard to show that she was worthy of such a position. 

when her grandfather started facing health problems, she was devastated. he had been her mentor, her role model and the closest thing she had to a father. but before she could even absorb the weight of his loss, the weight of the title was thrust on her.

being queen wasn’t something she had ever wanted or ever dreamed of, simply because it felt too far-fetched. but when offered, she grabbed onto the opportunity.

overnight, she went from being the bastard of the dead prince to the queen of the 7 kingdoms. 

she’s inherited a bit of a mess, enemies in her own family, a rebellion on her hands. but she’s determined to tackle all of it and come out winning. she’s ambitious and resilient and she has something to prove.

I Think I Know Who the Night King Is

It's Aegon the Conqueror. Here's why.

Background/A Reason to Fight for the Throne

Aegon I of House Targaryen, also known as Aegon the Conqueror, was first of his name and rode Balerion the Dread (the largest dragon skull shown in S7E2) to conquer all seven kingdoms. He was the first king of the Andals and the First Men, and Protector of the Realm. We hear more about him through the books Shireen used to read; he’s not to be confused with Grand Maester Aemon's brother, Aegon V. 

He also had a sword, Blackfyre, the most popular Targaryen sword and one of the most powerful made of Valyrian steel; Talk the Thrones brought up that the Golden Company (the sellsword army working with Cersei) may still have this sword in their possession.

According to the books, Aegon I married both his sisters (ew, but it is known that House Targaryen traditionally committed incest to keep their bloodline going) and had a child with each: Aenys (pronounced like Enes Kanter) and Maegor. Aenys was a sickly boy, and ruled in a way similar to King Tommen on the show. Maegor's reign was cruel, and he rode Balerion to continue his tyranny. 

These three kings were the first to rule Westeros, so they have claims to the throne. Especially in Aegon I's case, the ability to conquer lands means that he could do what he want with them, including the possibility of cutting down sacred trees. This action would anger the Children and give them reason to stab a man with dragonglass.

Fun facts: Aegon's sister-wives' names are Rhaenys and Visenya. Lots of repeating of prefixes through the years. Also, Balerion had four riders before his death at age 200 (how many dragon years is that?).

Only Targaryen can ride dragons

Dragons are smart. They know Targaryen blood when they sense it. That's why in last night's season premiere, Jon Snow was able to ride Rhegal (named for his father, coincidentally enough). This is also why Rhegal and Drogon sneered at the sight of Danaerys and Jon kissing at the waterfall, even though incest was common practice in House Targaryen. Even though the Night King had to shoot down Viserion in order to make the dragon part of the Army of the Undead, it would still take some sort of blood bond to ride the mysterious animal.

 The Night King can temporarily extinguish fire as he walks–a more OP power than Danaerys

This reminds me of a scene in Naruto: Shippuden when Madara Uchiha points out that Lady Tsunade is not as powerful as her grandfather. For those unaware, Madara was a major villain in the series, and Lady Tsunade was the leader of her village, the title being hokage. Tsunade had the power to heal herself after suffering critical wounds, but she wasn't as powerful as her grandfather, Hashirama Senju, First Hokage. He could transform landscapes, fight nonstop for a day and still be fresh to continue, and heal quickly. In fact, his cells were used for amputations and mutations in the series.

Danaerys can walk through fire, an incredible feat within itself. However, the Night King can extinguish fire temporarily with a single step; moreover, his clothes do not burn as he walks over fire. Could Danaerys' power be a strand of a greater power of her enemy?

The White Walker army is not immune to dragonglass and Valyrian steel–the two weapons of the Targaryen family

We know that dragonglass can kill White Walkers, for that is why Jon and Danaerys are mining it for the war. I also believe the Children stabbed through their target with a dragonglass dagger to create the Night King in the first place. Jon has also killed a White Walker with Longclaw, his blade of Valyrian steel. Being that the Old Valyria is extinct and full of grayscale sufferers, there are but few Valyrian steel weapons left in the world. In addition to Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Brienne of Tarth, Jaime Lannister, and Sam Tarly have such weapons.

Based on the below family tree, Aegon I was the son of Aerion Targaryen, Lord of Dragonstone, and Velaena Velaryon of the Old Valyria. House Velaryon and House Targaryen have married each other several times throughout the course of history, and Valyrian steel soon became closely associated with House Targaryen. Could it be that the White Walkers are not immune to these two weapons because their leader's house used them?

Aegon I parallels to William the Conqueror, just like the show parallels the War of the Roses

Obviously, England and France didn't fight a thousand-year-old villain like the Night King, but this parallel may be important. William the Conqueror conquered and united England in 1066, just as Aegon I conquered and united the England-shaped Westeros. William's reign led to interlinking dynasties and wars between England and France, just as Aegon's reign led to the same results with Westeros and France-shaped Essos. Of all the major players in the War of Roses and Game of Thrones, one of the only major players in the former that has yet to have a place in the latter is William the Conqueror. Now would be a perfect time to introduce him to give us a backstory on how Westeros came to be. Not only does it set up a motive for a villain to return to his throne, but it also sets up the future Game of Thrones prequel.

Spiral patterns similar to the Targaryen crest

We've seen spiral patterns that the Army of the Dead leaves behind throughout the series. It didn't dawn on me that the spiral resembles the Targaryen crest until Beric sets Ned Umber and the pinned arms and hands on fire last night. 

THEORY: Either Aegon I or his sons, Aenys and Maegor, conquered too much and destroyed lands, causing the Children to interfere and stab one of them against the tree.

PROBLEM: 

Aegon I died of a stroke four years after his last trek throughout Westeros, according to the books. There also could be a continuity error in the series, as the Night King has posed a threat on Westeros for thousands of years. Plus, to me, the man tied to the tree resembles more of Aenys’ appearance than Aegon I. 

But why make a character secondary to his father the main villain of a series? Anyway....

HOW THIS COULD PLAY OUT: 

The Targaryen crest has three dragon heads. Each of the three dragons we've come to know and love has a rider of Targaryen blood. Plus, in the intro to every season of GoT, the last animal shown before the GoT logo is the animal of the family who is in power; for seven seasons, the last animals on the sundial were a lion and a stag for Houses Lannister and Baratheon, but season 8′s last animal is a dragon as a comet blazes by. The final battle is a fight to the death (possibly at this new location called Last Hearth), with one of the Targaryens coming out on top.

But who will it be?

The questions were originally in Spanish, so I translated them into English, and also my answers mainly concern the show as I’ve just started reading the books. So here we go!

1. How did you discovered Game of Thrones?

It was my sister who introduced me to GoT. At first I didn’t like it too much, but I got super interested once I started watching the second season.

2. What is your favourite house?

Definitely House Targaryen! But I also really like House Tyrell and House Martell.

3. What are your favourite house words?

House Tully: Family, Duty, Honour

House Karstark: The Sun of Winter

4. Who is your favourite Stark and Lannister?

My favourite Stark would be Jon (technicalities apart!) and for the Lannisters, it’s too hard to choose between Cersei and Tyrion.

5. Who are your favourite female and male characters?

For the women it would be Daenerys Targaryen and the Queen of Thorns, Olenna Tyrell. As for the men, it's Tormund Gianstbane.

6. Who is your least favourite character?

I hated Catelyn Stark with a passion! Even in the books I don’t like her!

7. Which season did you like the most and what is your favourite episode?

Season 3 is the one I have liked the most because I feel it’s when Daenerys is really starting to get strong. Also, there so much happening during that season, leaving you mind-blown! My favourite episode is hands down “ The Winds of Winter” (S6, E10).This episode was just perfect in every way and it’s one of the best season finales I’ve ever seen!

8. Who is the character you’d fall in love with?

Personality-wise, I think I’d fall in love with Samwell Tarly. He is just so sweet and gentle, but physically speaking Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) does it for me. He sooo good-looking!

9. What is your favourite quote?

Anything Olenna says is gold. However, I really like what she says to Dany when they speak privately in Dragonstone: “ The lords of Westeros are sheeps. Are you a sheep? No. You’re a Dragon. Be a Dragon!”

10. What is the saddest moment/scene in the show?

For me there are two. The first one is when Ramsay Bolton kills Rickon in front Jon and the second one is when the Night King kills Viserion and later revives him as a wight. 

11. Who is the character with the least relevance/importance (In Spanish the question is: “un personaje sin protagonismo”. I don’t know how to correctly translate the word “protagonismo”)

I would say every character from Dorne. From what I’ve heard and read about them, the show didn’t really do them justice. A lot of people are saying they were destroyed as characters. I also think they are one of the most important families in the world of Game of Thrones and we barely hear about them. 

12. Who is the most intelligent character?

The battle for the title is hard between Tyrion, Lord Varys and Littlefinger, but I think Varys outsmarts the both of them. Also, i’d like to mention Margaery Martell, I loved how she was able to make almost everything work in her favour.

13. Where would you live?

I think anywhere in the North because I’m not really fond of warm climate...I actually hate summer! However, I’d like to visit Highgarden or Dorne.

14. Who is your favourite antagonist?

The one and only Cersei Lannister!

15. What is the death that has impacted you the most?

Before watching the seasons, I already knew almost everything that was going to happen (most of the time I don’t mind being spoiled), so there weren’t really any death that had a huge impact on me other than Viserion’s. But, I gotta say I was surprised when Ramsay killed his father Roose Bolton because I think it’s the only death I was unaware of.

16. Which character would you kill?

The most disgusting of all characters Walder Frey (but Arya already did it for me lol!)

17. Who is the best strategist?

I would say Tyrion Lannister, even though he wasn’t very successful in s7.

18. What flashback would you like to see through one of Bran’s vision?

I would really, really love to see the Tourney of Harrenhal as I consider it a key moment. I’d also like to see the arrival of Aegon the Conqueror and his two sisters Visenya and Rhaenys to Westeros.

19. Who is your favourite dire wolf?

I think Summer is my favourite.

20. Who is the most terrifying character?

This question has many answer: Tywin Lannister, the Night King, Joffrey Baratheon, and Ramsay Bolton.

21. Is the GoT intro the best you’ve ever heard?

I don’t know if it’s the best I’ve ever heard, but it is definitely iconic and love it so much!

22. How would you die in GoT?

Oh my goodness, I think I would die in the lamest way possible. I don’t have a single fighting instinct!

23. What is your favourite moment?

I have so many, it’s almost impossible to answer this question! Most of them include Dany and the Dragons or Cersei. I loved it when Dany freed the Unsullied. I got chills when she arrived to Dragonstone for the first time. The entirety of s6 e10, when Cersei avenged Myrcella’s death, when Olenna told Jamie she killed Joffrey, when Jamie told Brienne why he killed Aerys...

24. A character everyone hates but that you love.

Sansa Stark seems to be a character that a lot people hate, but I sincerely don’t understand where that hate comes from, I really like her. Sure, she’s not the strongest of female character but she is not awful. 

25. A character everyone loves but you don’t like.

I don’t think I don’t like a character that everyone loves, but I gotta say s7 Arya was not my favourite.

26. What character would you resuscitate?

Does Viserion count as a character? If not, I’d resuscitate Olenna Tyrell or Oberyn Martell.

27. What character’s death was your favourite?

Tyene Sand’s death. Cersei’s vengeance was on point! And, of course, Ramsay Bolton’s.

28. A character you hated but now you love. 

Theon Greyjoy. More than loving him, I just feel bad for him. He was really a jerk for betraying the Stark family, but at the same time the way he is trying to make amends makes me feel pity for min.

29. What GoT character would you be? 

I’d love to be my favourite character which is Daenerys Targaryen! She is simply awesome, strong, and badass. 

30. Who would you like to see on the Iron Throne?

In an ideal world where my wishes are command, Daenerys Targaryen would rule the Seven Kingdoms alongside Jon Snow. But because this is Game of Thrones, I doubt this scenario is going to happen. I don’t think it is going to end with someone on the throne!
