“Hey … that’s my shirt!”

A shrill, cheery voice spoke up from the corner of the room. Duff looked up at the sound, halting his uncoordinated stumble from the upper loft he’d just been resting in to the larger room the band shared. He squinted bleary eyes toward the source of the exclamation, eyes adjusting to the light. Through his sleep-blurred vision, he recognized a cloud of fluffy, platinum hair bounding its way toward him.

In an instant, Steven came to a skidding halt on the floor only a few inches from Duff. Shaking the hair out of his face, he tilted his head upwards to make eye contact with the bassist. Duff blinked a few times, nose and mouth scrunching as he tried to clear the fuzzy spots from his eyes.

Through the bright haze of sunlight, like an angel emerging from within the clouds, Steven’s face began to take shape in front of Duff. An angel in a ratty white tank top with a horrible case of bedhead… but divine nonetheless. His crystal-blue eyes glinted brightly in the light, wide and eager with excitement. To match, a broad grin stretched both his cheeks, two rows of glinting teeth on display as he beamed with pleasure up at his taller bandmate.

“You’re wearing my shirt,” he repeated, smiling proudly as he informed Duff of his observation. Duff skeptically raised an eyebrow, his eyelids still drooping with exhaustion. He pried his gaze from Steven’s shining face to glance down at the shirt he’d blindly tugged on as he rolled out of bed.

Now that he got a closer look … he did remember Steven wearing a very similar Black Sabbath ‘80 tour shirt a few times in the past. The fact that it was cropped barely below his nipples was a pretty good giveaway, too. Duff barely cut his shirts short at all— while on Steven, this might reach down to about the drummer’s bellybutton.

He flicked his eyes back to Steven’s ardent, awaiting face. “Guess so,” he mumbled with a shrug, his eyes trained on the wide irises staring back at him. Truthfully, Duff didn’t care much what he wore around the house. If his whole stomach was on display, well— more view for the rest of them, he supposed.

He noticed Steven’s beaming cheeks had taken on a bit of a rosy flush, and he watched the color deepen as the drummer glanced down at his exposed abdomen before quickly returning to his face. “It, um— you— looks good,” Steven squeaked out, his grin turning sheepish. Instinctively, the corner of Duff’s mouth tweaked up with a smug smile.

“Maybe I should steal from you more often,” his groggy voice rumbled, still thick and deep with sleep. Amusement was still evident in his tone, though, and his eyes crinkled with delight watching Steven appear more flustered by his words.

Steven furrowed his brow, his nose wrinkling as he tried to rein in his grin. “You gotta share, then. Like, trade,” Steven complained, though it didn’t sound quite convincing. “Otherwise I’ll lose all my clothes, an’ then I’ll be walking around fuckin’ naked,” he added mischievously.

Duff couldn’t help but chuckle at that, the thought of Steven’s exaggerations coming to life painting an amusing picture in his mind. “Ah! That was my plan all along,” he sighed, feigning disappointment.

Steven burst into bright, bubbly laughter, his lofty giggle bouncing around the room. Duff couldn’t help himself— Steven’s laugh was so infectious, his own face split into a wide, toothy grin. “I knew it! You’re such a flamer!” Steven cried out, shoving Duff’s arm with an open palm while the bassist shook with laughter.

He glanced back up into Duff’s eyes, a playful expression of excitement flashing across his face as an idea formed in his head.

“I’ll just have to take yours instead,” he smiled, his eyes narrowing. He quickly turned on his heel and darted up the ladder leading to the loft, giving Duff almost no time to react. The bassist’s eyes widened, and he lunged to follow the smaller drummer up the steps.

“Steven—!” He exclaimed between chuckles. “Get back here, asshole!” His younger bandmate only giggled louder, having reached the top of the ladder already. Duff was quick to follow, though, his height giving him an advantage.

As he reached the top, he pushed himself forward with arms spread wide, capturing Steven in his grasp. The two tumbled down onto the sheets below them, Steven shrieking with surprise as Duff shoved his face into a pillow. They wrestled around atop the mattress on the floor, Steven trying to seek revenge but being consistently thwarted by Duff’s bigger frame. Eventually, their kicking and squirming slowly turned to heavy breathing, both hot and exhausted with effort.

Steven grinned widely, his head resting on Duff’s arm as he spread out his own body across the bed. Duff closed his eyes, his tiny shirt now ridden up beneath his armpits and exposing his entire chest. The two panted against each other, skin on skin, still giggling lightly all the while. Perhaps their argument would be solved another day.

i wont say EVERYTHING about it just bc we'd be here forever but here are the basics

NEO: it's a fantasy AU with some stuff taking place in the afterlife! Bentinck is a reindeer man bc there exists such things as "half-demons" which is a misleading name for basically people born as animal hybrids. the theory is that those who are born that way are destined to be bad people bc it's ALL been bad people...basically, all half-demons are evil but not all evil people are half-demons. HOWEVER, none of this has been proven. i love reindeer Bentinck sm he's so soft,,,, anyway. W&M shenanigans in heaven and hell. it's a VERY old AU

MENHERAMEN: named after the song by PEPOYO, which uses the word as a pun using both "menhera" and "ramen." Bentinck is the main character here, and it's a modern college AU....with some CRIME added in. to avenge the Many Bad Things that have happened to William both in his childhood and the present day, Bentinck kills a few people that he blames for it. it's the only AU i have actually "finished" as in i wrote all the main events for it and it is *checks notes* 117 pages. i consider it my best (and darkest) work! despite Bentinck making progressively worse decisions he's still a fav

Alien Alien: you are hopefully a little bit familiar with this one! i won't explain it as much bc i did make the Big Posts (tm) on them, but ofc, William is an alien king and Bentinck his service android. Bentinck is different than most androids bc William actually changed his purpose from "i serve the Prince of Orange" to "i choose my own life." however, most people fail to see that and Bentinck generally has a lot of Issues with it and himself. Keppel and Marlborough, being mostly human (Keppel is 1/4 Defender), have their own backstory here, and William is kidnapped and experimented on at one point (love that arc btw), but otherwise i kept most historical events in. i love this AU a normal amount

Seraph of the End: this AU is based off of the manga by the same name! i have...a lot to say about that manga but when it hits, it fucking HITS. in this AU, William had been working on resurrecting Mary bc it's possible, unaware that doing so would start a virus that would kill all of humanity (kids excluded!). he also works on creating cursed weapons (weapons bound to demons) by making Keppel and Marly demons (very unethically). he dies before any of this is finished, though, so Bentinck finishes the job for him...bringing W&M back to life and triggering the apocalypse. however, before he did so, Keppel in his demon form had attacked and nearly killed him, and to save his own life, Bentinck dragged himself to the current king of the vampires (Third Progenitor Duke of Monmouth, who should have been dead but curiously isn't.....) so he could become one as well. after all that, Bentinck is a Seventh Progenitor vampire, and he, along with W&M, live in the underground kingdom of the vampires. Bentinck has a rabbit that also serves as his weapon and it is ALWAYS with him. as with any AU, a Lot of Things Happen, and there's a lot of secrets that need discovering, including the one over why the apocalypse happened....W&M have no idea they caused it. i love this one very much bc it's very dramatic n stuff

DSMP: this is sort of a crack AU based on the events of the Dream SMP. disclaimer: dsmp fandom generally does not make hc's about or ship real people! rather it's those people's characters of the same name, like i am pretty sure the actual Wilbur Soot is not a terrorist. anyway, in this AU, William is the president-turned-dictator of one of the many factions of the land, and Bentinck is his vice president. Bentinck is also a huge fan of guns and bombs here, mainly so i could have him in a suit and shooting stuff. it was For Myself

The Lamb of Orange: basically just everything historical except they are all sheep. it's mostly an artistic idea, i just want to draw the anecdotes with them as sheep bc i love drawing sheep in silly clothes. the sheep designs usually have some fun quirk that i thought fit them, like James' horns that could run into his eyes if he grows them any longer or Keppel's chest floof constantly poking out of his clothes.

CSM: an AU roughly based off of Chainsaw Man! it doesn't take place in the modern day like the actual anime, though, so therefore it's more like....sword man or whatever. I'VE YET TO FIGURE IT OUT. for now i'm calling him the blade devil. it's not super developed yet, but it's really Bentinck-centric as well. Keppel sort of plays the role of Power here, in which he's a fiend, aka a devil inside a human body. mainly so i could draw him with horns. William is also supposed to be Very Very Mysterious here the same way Makima is

MASA: an AU roughly based off of some of the songs by MASA WORKS DESIGN. it actually focuses more on James, Bentinck is hardly there....but he appears at some point bc he's with William so i had to draw him. it's more artistic like The Lamb of Orange, lot of gore n stuff like MASA's works back in the day. definitely a tw for this one, though, lot of blood n guts mentions coming up! the rough idea is that James is afflicted with a curse that causes him to want to eat human flesh, no other food tastes good to him. it gets worse as he grows, and rather than try to hide it he embraces it, and if you get into bed with him you better expect to have a bite taken out of you!! he's also somewhat of a masochist, he enjoys being eaten as well and loves fiddling around with his intestines out in the open sometimes. also he'll just randomly cough up hearts. Mary inherited this curse as well, but she's far more terrified of it than he is. cannibalism is explored in other characters as well, but it's meant to be taken far less literally. despite Bentinck's creepy-ish appearance, he's actually pretty gentle here. one idea i had for him is for William and Keppel to share a feast of his heart, but i still need to figure out how to draw that,,,,

Warrior Cats: exactly what the title implies, Everything Happens but they are all warrior cats. the cat politics in this series are far less complicated than they are irl, but i try to fit everything in nonetheless. a lot of things that happened are very warrior cats-esque, like Monmouth's rebellion....like that is SUCH peak warrior cats istg. i actually have a list of some names n appearances here (also i threw cat genes to the wind ok)

sometimes i write about it bc honestly writing cats fighting is very fun

its a fantasy & arranged marriage AU where guillermo from the de la cruz clan of vampire slayers agrees to marry the infamous vampire warlord, nandor the relentless. it's a very different dynamic between the two of them because they start off as equals but guillermo is just as ambitious & crafty and nandor is just as controlling & bad at communication.

it's still on going (100k words and counting) and normally i dont rec fics that arent finished/close to finished but this one is so juicy, like even if it doesnt ever finish i'd still be glad to have read it. fully recommend it.

going 180 from lengthy & meaty AU fics is this really fun and cute one called better get a chaperone. it's laszlo and guillermo fake dating to make nandor jealous and it fucking rules and i need like 7 more of these little bitches right now.

i lied about the whales is a season 3 finale au/fix it where nandor and guillermo do go on their roadtrip but also try to talk about their feelings. so fucking good so fucking delicious go read it rn.

this one is rated explicit so fair warning, but scars is a rlly good trans guillermo/nandermo fic. do be very mindful of the tags, it is not a lighthearted fic!! but it IS very cathartic and explores guillermo's religious trauma & his transness in a very enjoyable and realistic way. (it DOES make guillermo's dad out to be extremely transphobic btw cus i know thats a deal breaker for many people)

a different trans guillermo fic that isnt as heavy is portraits, which is technically nandermo but pre-slash. its by the same author as scars but its entirely fluff about guillermo braiding nandor's hair and coming out to him. its just cute tbh.

ofc there's also this absolute fucking delight there is a shortage in the blood supply (but there is no shortage of blood) which is also very much rated explicit. its a season 3 canon divergence nandermo slow burn with smut. very simple and fucking entirely delightful.

if you like accidental baby acquisition, here's a short and sweet and funny fic about that called Guillermo Has a Secret, Nandor Suspects Cats, and Laszlo and Nadja Couldn't Give a Fuck, Except That They Do. the title says it all i think.

OHHH okay i'm gonna need you to read this one called you're dead (and out of this world) which yeah classic title but it was written post-s2 and pre-s3 and is a funky and really fun and super fucking interesting AU about guillermo having more than just quick reflexes and sharp aim passed down from his great (x30) grandfather. so fucking fun i love it.

human teeth is just... man. MAN. it's a post-wellness center fic about nandor's deprogramming and its so fuckin...... i dont even know what to say just read it i promise its good.

of friendships, reunions, and wooden knitting needles is a season 4 speculation fic where guillermo is stuck in england with nadja. technically its also trans guillermo but thats only mentioned briefly. its a really nice fic and it definitely helped to sate my hunger for season 4 content.

another season 4 speculative fic is ship to wreck which is entirely nadja & guillermo being stuck on the ship together and having forced bonding time and i LOVE IT. its done so well and its so so so fucking good i really love it.

here's another season 4 fic about my favorite concept to think about these days, guillermo being turned into a vampire! its called to die in england is no fun. contrary to the title it is a very fun fic, short & sweet too, feat. nadja & guillermo friendship.

another fun vampire guillermo fic is we all bleed the same damned blood but SURPRISE its another fic with trans guillermo and trans laszlo !! its transgenderism just for you!! very fluffy & sweet and just nice 2 read.

and to round this up for now is another fun vampire guillermo fic that is actually mostly just a nandor whump fic called deliria.

and ok i KNOW that doesnt sound fun but its my favorite kind of hurt/no comfort which is kidnapping & torture with some yearning mixed in. dont ask me why its my favorite, im not sure, but its pretty good fic if you just want to hurt emotionally for a while. though i will warn you the ending is not satisfying and is very open ended. be wary of the tags ok i warned u you legally cannot get mad at me.

(also, this list is probs gonna be a bit different than most "beginner horror" lists online, cause I'm mostly gonna be thinking of movies I don't remember being very graphic, rather than thinking up "movies for beginners". cause tbh I feel like the best way to get into a genre is to just jump into it and try it out, see what sub-genres and tones u prefer, and go from there. rather than just being like, """omg u NEED to see [over-hyped franchise movie] FIRST or else ur not a Real horror fan uwuw"""". also I'll make sure to give u a good range of horror here, some of these r gonna be lighthearted and some of these r gonna be actually-scary, and some of these r gonna be psychological)

what we do in the shadows - vampire mockumentary, there's some blood but iirc nothing major? some werewolves in wolf form get hurt tho, if animal injury bugs u too. that said, it's a comedy so, like, def an easy watch

the blair witch project - very suspenseful shaky cam found footage horror. has a great build and scary climax, and absolutely no gore at all iirc. I don't think there's even any blood in this one

carrie - supernatural coming of age movie with a very sympathetic lead. there's a fair amount of blood (also pigs blood) in it, and a fair amount of deaths, but I can't recall any actual gore

the addams family - family friendly comedy horror. I think there's some violence in the form of dark humor but this is another one where I really can't even recall any blood (tho it's been a while so I can't prommy for sure)

bram stoker's dracula - there's a fair amount of violence, but surprisingly little gore iirc. a lot of traveling from place to place and exploring a creepy castle and a guy turning into rats and dogs, this is a vampire movie <3

ju-on the grudge - ghost horror movie, where a lot of the violence is implied/off-screen. this one is very freaky and the ghosts have really cool character designs

the lighthouse - this one's weird and not my fav, but if u want to see a horny homoerotic movie about claustrophobic lighthouse keepers, I don't think anyone even dies in this one besides, like, a mermaid.

texas chainsaw massacre - there's some gross on-screen violence towards the end, but for 90% of the movie it's pretty off-screen, and even when it does happen it's not overly bloody/gorey. just violent. and! this is a slasher! so if u want to try out slashers without too much, u know, slashing, I rec this one for sure

get out - this one's a really cool commentary on racism, and I think there's violence towards the end but the majority of the movie is psychological more than anything

the shining - a family goes to a freaky hotel and things go downhill from there. there's a lot of blood in one scene, but outside of that there's like. no actual gore/blood of any kind, just people being scared and getting chased around!

ok that's all I can think of rn, and u might wanna double check the plot summaries or doesthedogdie for ur specific triggers wrt gore, but!!!! I hope I was at least able to give u a starting point here! horror is a really cool and broad genre, so even if none of my recommendations strike u, I suggest checking elsewhere too before giving up on the genre completely <3

Series that You Might Want to Consider

IDK what I’m doing here but I guess I’m gonna list some of them.

First of all, I got stumbled on a South Korean tokusatsu series called Legend Heroes thanks to this vid. Attracted by the suit design, I binged watching its first 10 episodes and I’d say that it’s really good. It’s basically like KR Ryuki or KR Gaim with Super Sentai touch, but in a more lighthearted version. The story focuses on a clumsy young man named Liu Bei and a serious young woman named Gongsun Zan who run a martial art dojo.

What I like from this series is that Legend Heroes equivalent of Contract Monsters from KR Ryuki are some sort of sentient items called Hero Piece who can communicate normally with their respective users, which usually leads to a warlord-warrior (?) (since it’s based on that Three Kingdom period thing) relationship between them. The in-suit battle is also pretty decent, but the mecha battle (the reason why I call it a thing with Super Sentai touch) is a bit... bland? Well, that doesn’t really matter to me.

[BTW, for tokusatsu shows, a honorable mention goes to Bima Satria Garuda, an Indonesian tokusatsu series which was produced with some help from Ishinomori Prod. (You know, the production house of Kamen Rider? Correct me as soon as possible if I’m wrong). I used to watch it on TV but never finished it thanks to my family’s domination over the TV remote so I can't tell much about it, but you might want to give it a chance.]

Second, actually I’ve been wanting to talk about it but I have no right time to do that. But finally, I got a good timing to talk about a good anime series called Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. The story focuses on a daily life of three high school boys named Tadakuni (who’s technically the main character but never get enough screentime), Hidenori, and Yoshitake, hence its title. Not only those three, you can see a wacky, hilarious life of their schoolmates and relatives. Another ridiculously cool thing in this anime is that the girls are mostly portrayed as jerks.

[Psst, BTW there’s a live action adaptation in which Masaki Suda (who portrayed Phillip from KR W) portrays Tadakuni. However, I need to warn you that many people think it’s less funny compared to the anime.]

Third, another comedic anime, but with a pinch of romantic spices called Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. The story mainly focuses on a high school boy named Umetarou Nozaki who also secretly works as a mangaka by the name Sakiko Yumeno. One day, a girl named Chiyo Sakura tried to confess her feelings towards him, but she ended up becoming his assistant after he mistook her for his fan. The spotlight goes to not only Nozaki and Chiyo, but also their 5 unique schoolmates.

I’m actually not a big fan of romance, but what I love from this series is its good amount and timing of both romance and comedy. Also, if you’re an artist (I don’t care if you’re an amateur or an expert), you can also find some relatable artist things experienced by Nozaki and co.

Fourth, a mecha anime series I highly doubt whether to recommend considering the reviews about it but IDK why I keep mentioning it in my posts, called Kakumeiki Valvrave. The story focuses on a high school boy named Haruto Tokishima who threw his humanity (and became a Kamitsuki) to pilot a mecha called Valvrave. He uses the mecha to fight so that he and his 4 fellow pilots (who also threw their humanity to pilot a Valvrave each) can liberate their home from Dorssia’s grasp. These Valvraves with different colors and skills make them basically a space vampire sentai www.

If you really despise slash pairings, I recommend you to avoid this series since there are some shonen-ai hints especially between Haruto and his aloof sidekick L-elf. As for me, I don’t care much about any scene in it (despite not really being a slash shipper) as long as it’s SFW. Speaking of which, I’d like to warn you that there’s an NFSW-ish scene near the end of ep. 10, so be careful. I myself heard about it from a forum and I managed to avoid it.

LOL that’s all what I want to say about these series. Whether to watch or not, it’s up to you. I’m just bored right now so I did this.
