Hiii! I visited Sri Lanka recently and saw many people peacocks! I tried to take pictures for you, but i pretty much failed😅

They have these signs that i think you might like though:

DID YOU KNOW? Sri Lankan peafowl have their own locality name (it's treated as a subspecies by peafowl folks but not recognized as a subspecies... yet), Pavo cristatus singhalensis? They have a different look to them than typical Pavo cristatus. You can actually see it a little in your first pic; the barring is brighter, with paler brown between the black, giving them an almost black and white barring instead of black and brown. They also tend to have bigger white facial skin patches, brighter oranges on their primaries, and a bluer sheen to neck, black wing feathers, and train feathers than normal, often lacking or having a reduced red sheen on fresh feathers. They're really pretty birds! It's very cool you got to see them in person!

Something something about Bucks downstairs bathroom and it representing his innermost and truest self - almost a representation of his heart.

Because the door to Bucks bathroom being open and the room lit blue when Tommy came over, both of them crossing in front of that doorway has got me thinking because the bathroom door was firmly closed when Eddie was at the loft in 7x05.

This did a couple of things, it removed the blue light from the space so it was overwhelmingly yellow. But it also closed of a part of Bucks loft, metaphorically closing off a part of Buck.

I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure we’ve only ever seen that door closed or very slightly ajar (I think when Taylor was around we saw it ajar - I’m going to have to go rewatch to be categorically sure) before now, the one big exception being when Buck was in that bathroom putting on a bullet proof vest in 4x14.

The other aspect is that Bucks bathroom has a glass door - and we all know about Buck and glass doors. Buck has metaphorically opened the glass door to his inner most self to Tommy, but he’s not able to do that for Eddie.

Because this isn’t about coming out, this is about opening up to the possibility of love and being loved in return - in a romantic sense.

If I’m right about the door being ajar around Taylor (not always but at certain points) this shows he was still somewhat closed off - he was open, but not all the way. He went into that room - into his innermost heart - when Eddie was injured - and put on a bullet proof vest - protecting his heart (and don’t get me started on that artwork about shouting at the top of your voice that is now also at the diaz house).

And now the door was fully opened when he had his first queer kiss - Buck being open to possibility- but firmly shut when he comes out to Eddie.

Something something about it no ring shut to Eddie, because he’s not ready to open the door to the possibility of Eddie yet (Eddie is also not available at the moment). But I think when he is and when Eddie is also ready or nearly ready, we’ll see that door open again when Eddie is in the loft.

Look maybe it is just the hat but my ideal fanon version of game Knuckles would be him being a (reverse) Indiana Jones-type character.

Swashbuckling adventurer who's kinda dense common-sense wise but smart spatially and with a scholarly streak that feels like it comes out of left field compared to his usual behavior. Guy who's kind of a jerk in that he doesn't have the highest cognitive empathy when it comes to stuff that might hurt other people's feelings, but he is genuinely well-intentioned and incredibly heroic in a way that he isn't hiding either.

Protecting the Master Emerald would obviously still be his main duty, but what he actually does all day? Archaeology on Angel island! Finding "treasure", artifacts that he chronicles and studies to learn more about the culture he came from. Have him give lectures about his discoveries. Big jock guy, except he's the world's leading expert in Echidnean ruins. Do you understand my vision?

This also goes metatextually also. Indiana Jones is a character that screws up, gets hit, fails, shows pain, and is sometimes the butt of the joke. Yet he's not portrayed as the mindless or simple comic relief for it! He's still framed as a serious and persistent badass. I want Knuckles to be portrayed in the same way. He might make mistakes due to his own miscalculations, but have him still be well-rounded in personality and considered an unstoppable force of nature anyway rather than just making him the "dumb strong guy".
