hiiiiii!hope ur doing well and drinking water(eventhough i don’t ,i want others to)so at first i just rlly wanted to thank you for this account and for giving me so many argumented thoughts because when i read these books(not the duology KoS),about a year ago,I THOUGHT THE SAME THING.and eventhough i did not argument it i still promoted my thoughts because,”that’s my opinion you can have another.”but now i can argument my thoughts and i thank u for that.

anywayyyy,my question is:does it ever give you the ick the fact that the books mentions aleksander having multiple lovers?like i know it’s normal but i just find it kind of icky,mentioning him “so good at seducting women”.honestly ew.like i didn’t need to know that women folded when they looked into his eyes.because at the end of the day,even with all the hours i spent on ao3 hoping that they were endgame,they weren’t.sooooo…maybe he is not so good after all(jk).all the jokes aside,maybe it’s just me but i find it icky when someone mentions the mmc ex lovers.like pls focus on the main ship for the love of god.

And yeah I was rotting in my bed and binge-watching Breaking Bad while this ask came. There's no such thing as guilty pleasure.

I think that in the books it was only mentioned once by Baghra in S&B (after the Winter fete make out) that he had plenty of time to learn how to manipulate women (*eye rolling here*).

But yeah generally I don't find it icky. Personally I would get the ick if he used manipulation or lies to bed them but Leigh never implied that in her past interviews. And I believe he was pretty straightforward and honest with his intentions. And still is! (flashbacks from the Winter fete and name reveal scene coming in)

A little bonus: If he felt only sexual feelings for Alina I don't think he would even panic. He would be unfazed and would even try to use it for his advantage. But instead he got feelings which upset and angered him, something that Alina felt while kissing him in S&B after their little show.

He feels comfortable with sex but not with romantic feelings.

And now for the second half of the tie, we have Link, Hero of the Oneiroi!

For the purposes of being a LoZ/LU OC, Oneiroi (as in the species/race/whatever) are closer to Baku from Japanese mythology than the Oneiroi from Greek mythology. The Oneiroi are naturally nocturnal, and they feed on the dreams of others. When someone or something is dreaming, an Oneiroi can see the dream, and the dream will have "runoffs" that they can take and eat; each dream tastes different, especially depending on the topic. If there is a nightmare, however, an Oneiroi can't just eat part of it; they must eat the entire thing or leave it alone. Nightmares are more filling, but they're about as nourishing as a large slice of cake would be for a Hylian; one nightmare is plenty, but two or more can make an Oneiroi sick. They can eat Hylian food as well, but Hylian food does nothing to nourish them, and too much will make them sick as well. Either way, the best way for an Oneiroi to combat the sickness is to sleep, which they rarely ever do, as creatures of the night.

Oneiroi (the guy; from here on out gonna call him Roi to help differentiate) is an Oneiroi, as you might've guessed, and some inspiration for him and his adventure come from Lament of Orpheus from Hades (Supergiant Games) and Daughter of the Moon by adrisaurus. If you know either of these songs, you might already be getting an idea for his adventure. Whether you're right or not depends on whether your idea is similar enough to his adventure.

Early on in Roi's adventure, he was wandering around under a starry night sky, when everyone in the kingdom of Namiruta was asleep - all except for one Princess Moanne, who was stargazing on her balcony. An heir of beauty and serenity with hair the color of a starless night and eyes like sparkling diamonds, she was the first mortal to ever see Roi. After meeting, the two became very close, eventually even falling in love, and Moanne wound up joining Roi on his journeys.

Near the end of their adventure, however, the kingdom of Namiruta was in grave danger, thanks to an evil spirit casting a horrible curse on the moon, causing an all-consuming darkness. The only way to reverse this curse was for Moanne to become one with the moon, and although neither she nor Roi wished it, it had to be done. Moanne bid Roi a tearful farewell and reversed the curse, saving the people of Namiruta. This loss of his love, of course, brought Roi great sorrow.

Later on, though, Roi would have the opportunity to bring Moanne back with no consequences to the moon or Namiruta, so he sailed onto the Namirutan Sea to find the Moon Temple, and his wish was granted by the spirits residing in said temple - on one condition: that he wouldn't look back until he got to dry land. A simple enough condition, a task he was surely up to.

Roi had started sailing away from the Moon Temple, being told that Moanne's spirit was right behind him with a reminder to not look back, although doubt began to nibble at the back of his mind all the while, slowly but surely becoming more and more noticeable. His ship had nearly reached land, but his doubt eventually got the better of him in the end, even though he tried so hard.

He looked back, only to see the spirit of Moanne, and with a kind, serene smile, she faded away, this time forever, bringing Roi to grieve his loss. A storm brewed, and Roi was thrown off his boat, and he would have drowned if not for being so close to land. Somehow, in his dreams after washing up on the shore, he knew that Moanne was not angered by his mistake, and she said that she would have done the exact same if it were him, although whether he's forgiven himself yet is rather ambiguous.

Nowadays, Roi remembers Moanne very fondly, if still mournfully. In her memory, he likes to stargaze, especially when the moon is high and in its fullness, even if it makes him sad to remember his great loss. To him, she had shone as bright and beautiful as the moon, and she was very brave; he has the utmost dearest hopes that Moanne knows that her sacrifice wasn't in vain.

Roi is shy and quiet, at least volume-wise, as well as greatly curious, loving to try new things and almost always being the first to investigate something. Some might consider him mysterious and poetic, and they wouldn't necessarily be wrong. He is full of love, whatever the case, and sometimes he can be found crooning sad ballads in the middle of the night, all of which are dedicated to his dearest Moanne, of course; I'm sure if you asked nicely, he'd sing you to sleep, or even just hum. These days, he's always doing his best to set his doubts aside, pretty much no matter what, since the last time he let his doubt get the better of him, it didn't end well.
